I have an Automation that sends an email when conditions are met that includes Update Record link for Fillout. However the link is emailed as a text field - e.g. https://forms.fillout.com/t/zzzz?id=xxxxHow do I modify so it sends as a clickable link.I have tried "<a href='" & {Your Formula URL} & "'>Open link</a>" and it did not work.
As recently as a few days ago, Airtable’s What’s New page let us know the new features that Airtable was adding but now the page shows a 404? You can still find the base here, updated as recently as this month (February ‘26) here, but hopefully that base keeps getting updates?
I have been trying several Airtable alternatives to try to build my app stack options to select from and commit to build my first initial version of a functional app.During the Airtable’s free Teams trial period, I came to realization that there are additional, especially 3rd party forms & automation, applications are required to build a functional & manageable application based on Airtable.I’m just a start up. No special category like .edu, non-profit, etc.I cannot provide any verifications because I have not focused on social profiles & not willing to t provide any official documentation at this moment.AI answers were that there are no discount codes to apply at a checkout and were not able find any discount links, including from utube creators. As with any startup, any discount helps. Thank you in advance.
Im problem solving some workflow issues and finding that lots of lookup fields are not populating data for the vast majority of records. From what i can tell its only populating data for about 1000 records foir each of the fields i checked thus far. I also happened to notice that base views now have a new “showing the first 1000 records of XXXX. Load All Projects” warning/button combo at bottom of screen. Perhaps it is tied to this? This is critical malfunction for our system … hoping someone has a solve here?
Hey all. I have a client to which I am creating some template tasks. The problem I am facing is that. When the client changes its status, I need to create x amount of tasks. Example attached. I have an automation that adds another relation to Client-Tasks that displays the immediate next task So client has 2 relations to tasks. One to all tasks, one to just the next task, which uses the field.Next task for search to find the right taskThe problem I have is that after my automation creates the template tasks it sort them randomly Even though I have set up a sort list step first.Always the next tasks is a different one. If I sort the tasks manually everything works good, but I am having a problem with the first step.So I need that:1 the first tasks are created in the right order based on the template order and sorted correctly, and also then I need to be able to manually sort them. Otherwise the client would never be able to mode them
my company and i are interested in upgrading to enterprise and tried to get in contact with their online form to set up a meeting, but still haven’t gotten a reply back. is there another way to contact them? do they have a phone number i can call?
I would like to start off by saying that I have been researching, watching how-to’s and reading the forum for a few weeks now trying to wrap my mind around this issue and I am humbly asking for a hand with this issue I know can be solved (but not by me, apparently) Attaching a diagram to hopefully give the jist of how my current base is laid out. It’s more complicated but this illustrates what I’m struggling with. I am a chef, working on a tool for our restaurant to track costs and recipe development trial and error. I have three tables set up - one for ingredients (has metrics like cost, case size, purveyor, etc). Then there’s an Inventory table, which is effectively looking up ingredients and attaching additional attributes like whether or not something is ‘on hand’ or whether it’s been prepared in one way or another. These records then go into the Recipes table where (like any recipe) they need to have quantities unique to the recipe. I have figured out how to manage recipe price tr
Hi!Is there any way to create collapsible sections or groups in Airtable Interfaces when building one from scratch? We’d like to keep the interface clean, while still having access to additional or less frequently used fields when needed. If this isn’t supported natively, does anyone have a good workaround? Thanks!
Hi everyone,Looking for real-world experience / benchmarks from folks running large Airtable bases.I’m currently redesigning our team’s base. We’re at ~330k records today (hard limit is 500k) and we’re already seeing performance issues (slow loads, sluggish automations/scripts at peak times, recalculation lag, etc.). Our first version was built to meet immediate needs, and we’re now rebuilding with a more best-practice / scalable approach.Airtable Support mentioned (and we’re also observing) that even with ~170k record “headroom,” the base can still struggle well before 500k depending on schema + computation complexity. We suspect a big contributor is heavy rollups / formulas / long calculation chains across linked records. What we’re considering / already doing: Reducing rollups + nested formulas, especially ones that fan out across many linked records Breaking long “calculation chains” into fewer dependency layers Keeping “fact” tables as thin as possible (minimizing computed fiel
Hi everyone 👋I’m trying to use Automations → “Generate structured data” to extract structured data from a file that’s attached to a record (e.g., CSV / PDF / image). My automation is simple: When a form is submitted → Generate structured data. The confusing part: when I select the Attachments field as the input, Airtable only lets me choose attachment properties like URL / Filename / Size / Type / Attachment Viewer URL / Expiring Download URL (see screenshot). It’s not clear to me whether the model can actually read the file contents, or if it can only see metadata/links.My questions: Is it possible for “Generate structured data” to ingest an attachment and parse its contents (e.g., read a CSV and output a JSON array)? If yes, what’s the correct input to pass: Expiring Download URL or Attachment Viewer URL (or something else)? Does this only work with “Allow AI to access the Internet” enabled, or is there a limitation where it can’t fetch files at all? If it’s not possible direct
Hi everyone I’m Adaugo.I work primarily with Airtable, helping teams streamline workflows using clean base design, automations, and tools like Softr, Make, and Zapier.I recently joined the community to learn from others, share what I know, and help troubleshoot real-world Airtable challenges. I’ve spent a lot of time building portals, document hubs, and automation-heavy setups, and I’m always interested in exchanging ideas or best practices.Looking forward to learning from you all and contributing where I can.
Hey all,I’ve hit a weird snag with one of my users and I’m not sure how to fix it. I have it set up where she has an interface and can create a new project with task templates that can be applied to it. There are a lot of different types of projects we do, so there’s around 6 different task templates. While setting this up and showing it to her (even in her view on the interface page), I was able to see and select all 6 templates. When she started sharing screen and showing me what was going on, 5 out of 6 of the templates said she was getting the message that she did not have the correct permissions to be able to apply them. I’m at a loss on how to fix this as she has editor permissions in the base and the interface, and I don’t remember setting permission levels for those templates in any way. So, any suggestions on what to do with this?Thank you!!
I’m designing a system for a client who produces enviromental survey reports They currently use Word, but non-technical staff keep breaking formatting and formulas. Of course it takes up a lot of time too because different people have to enter information they collected into the word document. What I need is:• Staff enter data via forms only • Calculations happen automatically• The report is generated as a branded, locked PDF• Users cannot edit layout or structure• Supports repeating sections (multiple findings per report) What is the best way to implement this in Airtable?Should this be done with Airtable alone, or via integrations (e.g. Docupilot, Make, Zapier), and what is the most robust architecture to prevent users from breaking templates?
I’m building a restaurant menu website (similar to a Culver-style menu) where all menu data—categories, item names, descriptions, prices, images, and availability flags—is stored in Airtable and fetched dynamically using the Airtable REST API. Each menu category (e.g., ButterBurgers, Frozen Custard, Drinks) is linked to a separate table, and the website consumes this data to render the full menu on the frontend. While the setup works correctly in most cases, I’m running into inconsistent behavior when retrieving records via the API.Specifically, some API responses return only partial data sets or miss linked records, even though those records are present and correctly linked inside Airtable. In certain cases, a category endpoint returns fewer items than expected, and refreshing or re-running the same API request sometimes returns a different result. I’ve verified that the API key, base ID, table names, and view filters are correct, and I’m not hitting documented rate limits. This incon

Hi everyone!I’ve been experimenting with Airtable as a way to organize and share daily word puzzles inspired by the NYT game Letter Boxed. The idea is to create a base where: each day’s puzzle layout is stored, community submissions (solutions) are logged, performance (time/words/points) can be tracked, and users can filter or sort challenges by difficulty or date. So far it’s been really helpful for keeping everything structured and allowing others to contribute solutions easily.A couple of things I’ve set up in the base: Grid view for daily puzzles with letter sets and status Form view so players can submit solutions Leaderboard view sorted by points or speed I’m curious how others here might use Airtable for game-like engagement, daily challenges, or community-driven activities. Has anyone built something similar? Any tips on making the base more efficient or fun (e.g., automations, lookups, dashboards)? Thanks! Looking forward to your ideas 😊

We use Airtable to manage trailer rentals and insurance compliance. Customers periodically upload updated Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and we need to retain all past COIs for audit and compliance purposes. The issue is that Airtable automations overwrite attachment fields when updating records. When a new COI is uploaded, it replaces the previous file, which causes us to lose historical documents. What we want is for a “Misc Attachments” field to act as an archive, where: Any new file added to the COI field is copied into Misc Attachments Existing files in Misc Attachments are preserved No previously uploaded documents are deleted Requirements: Both fields are attachment fields in the same table The process should be automatic (triggered when a COI is added) The archive must be append-only (no overwriting) Preferably no third-party tools We are currently exploring a scripting automation that: Pulls existing attachments from the archive field Appends new COI files Writ
Hello Airtable Community,I am currently exploring ways to enhance our workflow by integrating Airtable with Microsoft Copilot. My goal is to be able to ask questions related to our Airtable data directly within Microsoft Copilot, which already has access to our other business files like emails and documents.Use Case: We use Airtable extensively for managing various aspects of our business. Having the ability to query Airtable data directly in Microsoft Copilot would streamline our processes significantly. For example, I would like to be able to ask questions such as "What are the latest updates on table x".Questions:Has anyone successfully integrated Airtable with Microsoft Copilot for similar use cases? What are the best practices or tools (e.g., APIs, automation platforms) to achieve this integration? Are there any specific challenges or limitations I should be aware of when setting up this integration?I would greatly appreciate any insights, experiences, or recommendations from t
Hi Everyone, I'm Meenu Hinduja and my husband Dheeraj Sudan, run a business. I’m running into automation errors in my Airtable base. Could you please share your suggestions on how to troubleshoot and fix them?RegardsDheeraj Sudan and Meenu Hinduja
I have a database that is used to record the status change of projects and I need help with my automation. Currently I have an automation set up that is triggered when a record is updated (watching the “status” field); then it creates a record on my Change Log Table. I want it to record the “old” status and the “new” status in a field, along with the date the change was made and the user who made it. I am having trouble setting this up, can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
Hi! I wanted to put up a topic about a feature which would tell you which fields should be killed. Airtable could develop something which ranks fields by dependencies and “data completion” (data completion being a stat calculated by “Number of Records where Data Exists” / “Total Number of Records”. This way, we could know if theres not a lot of people using this field and secondly, whether there are dependencies. Omni is great but lots of bases get too many fields over time and we have to start deleting them. I want features that make my bases more elegant/simple.
I’m loving interface extensions so far! It’s super easy to get up and running. I have an external website that uses the Airtable API that I think would work much smoother if it were an interface extension and inside AT proper. The only problem is… it’s in Vue, and it’s way too complicated a project to rewrite from scratch in React.Assuming the interface extensions team isn’t planning on making a Vue SDK as well (...unless? 😳), has anyone tried inserting a Vue component into React, specifically inside the Airtable Blocks SDK, where no Vite config file is available?
Can someone guide me on whether there is a way to nest views under major topics/departments? For example, our photo team might want to have different ‘Views’ they use, but I want to group all of their views under one department. Our ecomm team also has different views, but I want to nest them all under ecomm. I work with between multiple departments, so I want to see views grouped by department (photo, ecomm, production, retail, etc.). We are in the beginning phase of setting up airtable for our teams so we are still learning how this all functions. Thank you for your help!
We are looking for Airtable to help automate our Onboarding process. It seems like it sends a blank email whereas we want a calendar invite they can click accept and it be inserted into their calendar. Then we also tried Google meetings to get this working but it only works with 1 user. Once you add more than 1 person it will not send a calendar invite. Any advice would be appreciated.
