Hi!     In my project plan I need to use hierarchical (or outline) numbering such:1  ~ 1.1 ~ 1.2 ~ 1.2.1 ~ 1.3 ~ 1.4 ~ 1.4.1 ~ etc. (print 1)     I've be doing this manually, but it would be great to have it being created automatically.     I got the formula below from the internet, but I stuck in the error showed in the print 2.     I also pasted, lower, the instructions I received.     Please, can someone drive me to a easy way to have such WBS numbering (Work Breakdown Structure)?     I thank you all in advance.The formula I'm using: "IF(LEN({Parent}) = 0, {Autonum} & ".", {Parent.Autonum} & "." & {Autonum})"Print 1: (the need)Print 2: (The error)

I've used hours to search for a solution via Airtable support pages, this community, Youtube (interesting video) and even ChatGPT, but I can't seem to find an out-of-the-box solution. How do I delete an interface LAYOUT (i.e., when I click on a linked record on a page and it opens another page in the drawer with a customized LAYOUT). I have a whole bunch of excess layouts that I was experimenting with and it has made a mess of my ability to apply the right layout setting because the dropdown has tonnes of bad layout options that, and I like to delete them so that the don't get inadvertently applied across my interface. SCREENSHOT:https://www.screencast.com/t/SiKFWk30oXjA 

I want to remove the root domain from all of my URLs after a specific character. I want to remove the root of our URL (https://cotoncolorscompanywholesale.com) AND I want to remove /pages/ so that I am only left with the actual page name. Take these two URL's as an example: https://cotoncolorscompanywholesale.com/pages/faq     https://cotoncolorscompanywholesale.com/pages/for-poppy-campaign   I want them to be trimmed to read as: faq for-poppy-campaign Can you help me with this?

I have created two forms within my base. As of last week, the fields for both form, #1 and form #2 were visible in my base and form #1, however, this week I noticed that many of the fields from my form #1 were missing from both the form and the base. I assume another editor went in there and messed around. I was able to recover form #1 based off a previous version of form #1  and was able to recover the base that showed fields from both form #1 and form #2, but I was wondering if there was any way to restore the previous version of the base and form #1 without having to rebuild form #1 completely and lose all the information that has already been submitted to the form.Thanks in advance for your help! 

I am using a design tool (DBSchema) that can connect to most Databases in the industry, it typically uses a JDBC connection but has many others.  Does anyone know what drivers AIRtable uses and what the JDBC URL would look like?I could not find this in any documentation.Thanks in advance 

I am trying to find a solution to printing interface out tasks in a A4 portrait Layout, but currently if users print its several pages of mess. I have build a page layout in extension 'Page Designer' but unable to create this as a button as to allow the users viewing in interface to be able to print the details. Any Ideas how to print interface? Ideally would like it to be a button as I need it to be user friendly, who have only Interface viewer access only. 

I am creating an inventory management system for a warehouse team. I have a table that tracks the current inventory level and a linked table that operates as "transactions". So the "transactions" table keeps track of added and removed inventory. The inventory table shows the current inventory level for a product using a roll-up. I want to click on a button in the inventory table to open a form where the user can add or remove inventory. I want the product name field to be automatically selected based on which row the button was clicked. So pressing the "change inventory" button on the Product A row will open the form and have Product A selected in the name field.  I tried to figure out how to do this with formulas and automation, but I think that it might need to be done with scripting and I do not know any javascript. I hope that all makes sense.

I wrote a script in my automation to create a linking table of sorts that carries over records from two different tables. I have a field that is a formulated value in both source tables and in the target table I want that to be single-select. Is this possible? I cannot get the values to match up! Hello,I'm created a registration form. I need the users to select their specific identification information. The information is stored in another base. I can create a link to the appropriate base field and this information will display in the second bases registration form. However, the information is displayed as a single row and it's a long row of information that gets cutoff in the form. I want to stack the information. I tried using \n creating a line break however, rtf data is not passed through a linked primary field (I can only link a primary field).Any suggestions for using one base that stores the following: State, award number, award titleand linking that information to another base as a selectable field in a form?

I duplicate my base, but find that my custom extensions are not in new base. How can I duplicate base with custom extension? Much appreciated

Hi all,I work for a marketing organization and we use airtable frequently. We have different bases for each job (graphic design, writing content, digital marketing content, and website content). We would like to find a way to move tasks/projects from base to base. (Ex. creating a postcard. Starts in Writing Content base and then move it to Graphic Design base once writing has been completed). Is there a way to move tasks from base to base, as well as notifying the correct person once it has moved? We would like to make things more efficient instead of sending emails to the appropriate person, letting them know that one part of the project has finished and they can start working on their part of the project.

Using airtable for project management, so far the set up etc is fine. One thing I am trying to set up is a script (can be put into a field as a button) that deletes the record that the button is in but also deletes all linked records in the sub task section. Therefore you are removing an entire project and sub task. At the moment the following naming conventions existProject (table) which links to Sub Task (table). When a sub task is added it links to the Project. Therefore the script must delete the Project and all linked records in a Sub Task section. Can anybody help with the script for this?

Hi There, Wondering if any one has noticed that the bar chart in interfaces by default is set to stack and there is no option to change it. Also there is no way to change the format of the data presented. If any one knows otherwise gthat would be great help.

Hi all!Here's a question... I'm making a basic task list in my base, I added a {Due Date} column with field type 'Date' and I have the time also showing in the same column. This will help me schedule tasks by date and time.Values in {Due Date} look like this '2/14/2024 5:00 pm'. I have another column {Date} with a simple formula DATETIME_FORMAT({Due Date}, 'MM/DD/YYYY') so I can get the date alone without the time.Heres the problem... Everytime I schedule a task pass 6:00 pm in the {Due Date} field, the {Date} value changes 1 day. Example:{Due Date} 2/14/2024 5:00 pm{Date} 2/14/2024{Due Date} 2/14/2024 6:00 pm{Date} 2/15/2024Help!

Hello!I am trying to set up a formula to when a checkbox in the field "Invoiced?" is checked, the "Status" field is then changed to "Invoiced". I am setting this up so that Zapier can (hopefully) check a box if a record is still there and override anything that is no longer in the Excel file. I have a table with several "linked to another record" fields and a multi-select list with one option for each linked field. I would like the list to be updated automatically based on the following logic:If the linked field is empty, the option related to that field shall not be selected in the multi-select.If the linked field is not empty, the option related to that field shall be selected in the multi-select.It looks quite easy to do with a script, but laborious with an automation because of the way automations update lists. They do not add or remove options based on what has changed but instead is asking me to tell what options shall be selected and which ones not. This forces me to start my removing all the previously selected options in the multi-select list, and then define the automation based on all the potential combinations of empty and non-empty linked fields. I am trying to build a B2B application and I want to keep the logical separation of data between the two customers. Let's say I want to give the ability to my user from Business X customer to choose an employee name from drop down that should be relative to their business. When a user from Business Y clicks the drop down, he should only see the employee names from their own business and not for both Business X and Business Y (which seems to be the current case). It is a privacy issue. I can manage this manually by creating visibility filters on softr.io or having a separate view on airtable for each customer, but it is not scalable. Is there an easy way to manage that?

Hello everyone!I have two tables:Table 1, where records correspond to products,Table 2, where records correspond to sales of products.I'm trying to create a single roll-up field in Table 1, so that for each product record, it gives me the sum of all revenue generated from all sales records in Table 2 which correspond to the product in question.I seem to understand that the conditional rollup formula will only allow me to sum records in Table 2 for which a particular record (e.g., "Product Type") equals a fixed value (e.g., a single-select). I am trying to set up a rollup formula which will execute different sums according to the different values that could show up in a particular record (e.g., different Product Types for each individual sales record).For example:Table 1 has 2 product records: Books and CDs.Table 2 has 10 sale records: 4 for Books and 6 for CDs.

We have a table syncing to our team's base that gives a summary of our workstations: like the user's name, start and end date, and the booking availability, (available, booked, on hold), station nameWe'd love a chart or report that allows us to look into the future by selecting a day or date range in the future, and get back the number of stations available and number booked on a given day or within the date range given.Is this possible? Trying to use the charts and filters in Interface designer but unsure how to get what I want. I think the issue is if a station's Booking Availability field is "Available", then the dates would be empty. So I think I'm realizing trying to use filters based on dates won't get me info on stations set to "Available"

I’m having trouble writing a script that creates new records (representing jobs) based on the following parameters: start of date range end of date range days(s) included That is, if Mondays are included, create a job on each monday within date range. I use a function to add jobs onto a stack, and call the function for each day of the week as required. My stack is defined outside the function as: Let newJobs = ; The new records created included a date field. That’s the problem. I can see my function looping through the dates correctly, and even pushing them onto the stack. But when everything is finish, every job on my stack has the final loop date. The same date. My plan was downgraded since my team member has added one extra-collaborator and missed some invoices since it was overlimit and supposed to be billable.Before we were on annually paid team plan.We deleted an overlimit collaborators and want to get our team plan back. Hey there! I’m syncing some records from Base 1 to Base 2, and that’s working just fine. In Base 2 I need to be able to add additional records alongside the synced ones. I set up an automaiton to copy these new records over to another Table in Base 2, which works perfectly. I was then trying to use an Update Record automation to copy changes, which tests fine but fails in practice with an error. Is that possible, or is there a better way to accomplish this? I was using Find Records with a condition of my manual unique ID (not the Airtable Record ID), which it seems to do, and then try to apply the updates to the Record ID from that step (Step 2). It all says it’s good, and can even update it from “Run As Configured” - but it fails when I test it by updating Base 1 and syncing Base 2. Updates fine in the sync but fails to update the record in that second Table. Thanks!.

I have a table of feedback for two cafes in a base. Each bit of feedback has an assigned category. I have another base that is linked to the category so that I can view aggregated data such as average feedback score by category. This data is then visualized outside of Airtable. The problem is that in Airtable as category is the primary, it lumps the cafes together in each row, so from this table I can't distinguish one from another. I need an output where I can see organisation as a breakdown of the  category. Something like this (almost like a pivot table structure):How would I go about designing my base in order to achieve that?
