I have a column with linked records and I do not want the column to have more than 6 records. I do allow multiple linking but is it possible to put a restriction on how many records can be entered? [I want more than 1 but less than equal to 6]. ThanksChandrika

I've set automation to create record which get value from a field when a value is entered to that field (use trigger type "when record matches condition"). But the automation is real-time triggered when the typing has not finished yet, so the getted value is incomplete. For example, enter "300" but only get "3". How do I fix it please? Hey guys,I am looking for a way to help restrict access to certain bases I have in my workspace. I thought using groups was the answer, but that doesn't seem to be it as the groups still have overall workspace access and I can't seem to remove someone who's in the workspace from a base.We have our workspaces separated by the different companies in our parent company and then within each workspace is a base for the different departments. I have groups for the different departments as well that I was hoping to use to have for example the GFX department have access to only the GFX base.Does anyone know how I should be using workspaces, groups, and bases to restrict access? I feel I am using these wrong.Thanks!

Colleagues top up holidays and travel expenses in Airtable. We would like to account for the empty dates 13 three random days in a given month. Is there any way to automate this?

I am attempting to use Airtable as a month end close tracking form. Is it possible, that once a task is completed, it will create a new task for the same day in the next month? As an example, this task would be completed on December 15th, then once completed it recreates the task with a deadline of January 15th.

I have a dashboard using a Timeline view. Add records is enabled. I can click on the plus button to add a record, but the dates are always odd and not reflective of where I am in the timeline. But if I try to do the click and drag to add the record directly in the timeline window it doesn't do anything. is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Hi there,We are using AT as a project management tool and I am trying to create a field that indicates Project Status. The field would live on the Projects board and default to "Submitted", when we receive a request. We have a separate board for Tasks, and we use an extension to generate the tasks for each individual project. So once the tasks have been generated and assigned the Status would change to "Assigned". Once the team member views their assigned task the Status would change to "In Progress". We are using a formula to calculate the % complete so once all tasks have been completed the Status would change to "Complete". Because there are 2 boards and already a formula field we are pulling from, this seems like a complicated (but not impossible?) equation. I just dont know Airtable well enough to be able to figure it out! Does anyone know how to create what we are looking for?

I am having trouble with my vacation day calculation when an employee is only taking one day off. I have a formula to count the days requested and they always show up as negative which is what I want to subtract from their approved days, but when they request 1 day is comes up as a +1 and throws the calculation off. Could someone help me with this? I know it has to be a simple fix. Thanks!  This is the formula I am using: WORKDAY_DIFF({End date (vacation)}, {Start date (vacation)})

When I select a lookup field in Airtable, it retrieves all the values within it, but I want to make a selection from within this lookup field, is this possible?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to create a formula field to calculate last week.I have a view that shows me the events that refer to last week, I added a formula field to calculate all the events that have the "Date" field dated to last week, but it doesn't work in any way, because it continues to insert the camps of the current week. I have a primary field which is an autonumber and I want to change it to a formula (pad the number with zeros, concatenate with another field etc.). My plan is to keep the autonumber, create a formula field, and then change the primary field to be the formula field.Is there any risk with that? can such action break any dependencies? scripts?

Hi! Is it possible to create an automation that will email someone the results from one column (not the full record) of a grid?We are doing an exercise where staff fill out an airtable form saying what they value about other people on the team (long text responses).  So each record has the feedback about every staff member from each person that fills out the form.  Is it possible to have an automated email go out to individual staff members with just the responses from their column?Hopefully this makes sense - thank you!

Hi everyone, I know I certainly need automation. But I am not sure what I am going to do.Description of the problem:I created a delivery driver pickup form (in Table 1) for volunteers to submit their pickup schedules for one or more schools. Right now, I will need 3 information (name of the pickup person, pickup date, and pickup time) submitted in this form to be automatically updated in an existing classroom table (table 2).I have tried different ways. However, it seems like I am having difficulty for the information in table 1 to be correctly matched with the information in Table 2. I think the problem is I don't know which Record ID I should pick and the system keeps saying there is an error when I was setting my automation.My goal is that I am hoping if a volunteer submits that they will pick up materials for school A, the 3 required information I need will automatically update in the same school in table 2.Thanks so much, any feedback is great

I have a complex formula I am trying to write, and unfortunately it says there is an error in my code, but I can't seem to work out what! I am trying to write a custom field that says LIVE, FUTURE or COMPLETED depending on the number of days away an event is, and in what region. I have a javascript code that basically displays a recording menu that allows you to record your voice, and then I added that on stop you can click to send the file to airtable. But I keep getting 422 error. I read somewhere that when sending attachment it need to be on publicly available url. The Google Vision API extension offered by Airtable works well enough if one wants to retrieve labels, logos and texts from an image. However, the Google API offers other capabilities, such as tagging offensive images and, what interests me most, calculating the dominant colours of an image or suggesting cropping possibilities. The Airtable extension doesn't seem to give access to any of this.Is there something out there already that might allow me to retrieve those extra features and insert them into a field in my database ?Thanks.  

Hey All,I'm looking for a way to add files that are not hosted on a public site. The server hosting the files allows for basic auth so I should be able to pass credentials. I'm wondering if it's possible to use `fetch` in an extension to get the file and then add the file to an attachment field. Definitely open to better ideas. Cheers,Collin

I am receiving this notice when attempting to upgrade: "We were unable to upgrade you at this time. Please refresh the page and try again. If you continue experiencing problems, please contact us."I was charged and my upgrade has not been reflected. I contacted customer service but the 1-2 TAT turned in 6 days -- no response. Any suggestions?I would think a financial ticket would be considered important.
