Hi, I am pretty new to Airtable. Is there are some easy way to sync (or at least export) an Airtable base to relational DB?

Please change back your UX to the old one. The new one is so washed out its difficult to use!!!

I'm setting up an automation triggered by updating a field in one table, which updates a field on the linked record in another table. I'm using "Find records" to search the linked table based on condition that the record's name/title matches the name/title of the linked record from the source. Essentially, I'm just trying to find the record linked to the updated record.However, when selecting "Dynamic" for the condition value, the name/title field to be used is not selectable, with the pop-up message of "no valid nested values" when hovering over the field. It really seems like this should work, and this error message is cryptic and not helpful.Does anyone understand this "no valid nested values" error?Should I be grabbing linked records to be updated in a different way?

Can we restrict who fills out the Form, if we already have them logged in to a parent app that can authenticate via SSO to the airtable app?And by detecting who fills out the Form, is it possible to pre-fill the other fields in the Form?

Hi! I work at a digital school and I would like to have an easy view where I can see all my classrooms whether they are booked with a course or not. I have a total of 20 classrooms. I already have calendars where I can put the dates, the courses and the classrooms the courses will be taught in. In the calendar view, I also created a returning view telling me whether a classroom is already booked. I have a tab with all my classrooms and another one telling me if there’s an error due to booking the same classroom for two courses at the same time. I also am able to create a view of all the classrooms that are booked but I don’t seem to be able to add the classrooms that are available. I’m sure there’s a way to add the empty classroom. Is there someone who can help me? Thank you :)

I’m building a database for products that sell on multiple marketplaces (Etsy, Creative Market, and my own website). I have one table for the products and another for the marketplaces. I have URL fields for inputting direct links to product listings (separate fields for each marketplace), and fields for linking the products to the marketplaces they’re listed on.Currently, I have to manually add both the URL and link to the related marketplace, but I’d love to create an automation that updates the marketplace link to include all marketplaces for which the URL field isn’t empty. For example, if a product has only an Etsy URL, it should only link to the Etsy marketplace record. Hi, We’re battling getting contact duplicates from Meta lead campaigns. Basically people forget they’ve already signed up, and send in a new registration. Since these are Meta, we cannot control anything upstream. A first step is to get our people, who only work in interfaces, alerted that there’s a duplicate to a contact. It would therefore be enough, for now, to achieve a field that tells the user the amount that the current user’s e-mail address can be found in the total base (~2.000 contacts now). I’m trying an approach where I link all contacts to one record in another table, then lookup all e-mail addresses. Back in my main table I link to the second table and lookup the e-mail addresses. I would the like to count the instances of the field “email” in the lookup field where all e-mail addresses are. FIND finds only the first and gives the position, SEARCH does the same. COUNT and COUNTALL do not work on text. 

Hi, can someone people assist with my formula? This is what I’m currently working with;IF({Post Sale Date},{Post Sale Date},{Event Date}) I want to expand on this to check the ‘Result’ field so it functions as below. IF ‘Post Sale Date’ exists then use ‘Post Sale Date’IF ‘Post Sale Date’ is empty and ‘Result’ is not ‘SUTH’ then leave blank.IF ‘Post Sale Date’ is empty and ‘Result’ is ‘SUTH’ then use ‘Event Date’ Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Hello, I wanted to know if it is possible to embed an Airtable table on my website with the Kanban view for example, and to be able to change status from my site without going through Airtable.

Since last week my HTML forms began to fail with scripts apps which I could send data and pdf files to airtable the file as it is, now it doesn't allow I don't know what to do someone knows a safe method but that is not using the drive download URL, thank you

I’m building a table in Airtable as part of an internal tool for my company to track client project statuses.We’d like users to be able to: Change the order of the columns in the Interface Designer Set sticky filters that persist across sessions We’re aware this is possible in Personal Views, but we haven’t found any documentation or settings that allow these behaviors directly in the Interface Designer.Is there a way to enable persistent column order and sticky filters for users within an Interface? Or is the only option to instruct users to use Personal Views outside of the Interface?Thanks for any guidance or workarounds.

Hello,My team uses forms to enter data into our Airtable bases. For one form, we have a multiple line field that appears only if one or more other fields are selected. It would be helpful to know why the conditional multiple line field appeared.Is there any way to show which fields caused the conditional field to appear on the form?

I came back to my bases tonight to find the header colors all muted pastels. Some of us rely on the color to differentiate bases. Also, the contrast is much lower on the tables and the text on them… less accessible and more difficult to read. On interfaces, it’s still the same vibrant color… can we not retain that color in the Data view? Am I missing some setting that got changed? Also, the info in the far left (icon, help, notifications) is taking up more horizontal screen real estate. Maybe I’m the only one, but having huge changes for no benefit seems to be a bad idea for productivity. End of rant. For now. 😁

Hello! I am working to create a style number. If a style has two different colors, it will need two records, but the same style number.I want the number to start with a certain number unique to the division, then another number unique to  the brand, then the third would be a number in sequential order. I have fields for Division, Brand, and Autonumber.   I used the below formula.  SWITCH(Division, "DIV1", "2", "DIV2","3", "DIV3", "4", "DIV54,"5",0)&SWITCH(Brand,"Brand1","2","Brand2","3","Brand3","4","Brand","5",0)&Autonumber The problem is I can’t use Autonumber because two rows may be the same style but different color.  As they are the same style, they need to have the same number. What could I use instead of Autonumber? Possibly the answer isn’t a formula, open to any suggestions.Thanks!

HI, Currently I have a work account which is paying for airtable. I’m now using it for a personal project and have added collaborators who are being billed to my work account. I need to transfer ownership to a new account and start paying for the base and associated collaborators through this new account (or just use the free plan there, not sure what we’ll need yet). I can’t seem to get it to work though! If I try to add the new email address (even on a different browser) it keeps logging me in on my original account. Any tips on separating it all out? I have a project with a start date, end date, completion date. I want to put the start-end dates on a timeline in one colour and then as an extension from the end date to the completion date if the project over runs.As well as that I want to be able to assign tasks to that timeline linked to the project underneath it on the fly. For each task I have Collection Date/Start Date/Expected Completion Date/Completion Date/Delivery Date. Similar to the task above I want to be able to set the start and expected completion date in conjunction with the project timeline so it cannot be set outside the projects start/end time. I then want extensions before and after the tasks start and expected completion date for collection and delivery date and between expected completion date and delivery date a part for completion date.Above is what I

I have Two tables. People and Groups. The groups table is used for an assortment of things in our organization. So most everyone is a part of 3-20 groups. My problem comes when I need to add more than 30 or so people to a single group. Bulk adding overwrites all of the varied groups that a person is in and i can’t find an angle to add more than one person at a time to the group without overwriting all of that person’s existing groups. I’m attempting to create an automation that I can use a view that automatically appends a person to a group but I’m thinking there has to be a better way. Any insights?

Assuming you as a coach have several students and you need each student to upload his or her credentials, and you know we have a table of students. My questionIs there a way to make sure every upload by a student goes directly to the attachment column of the student record that made the upload. Do note that we are using the same form url for all students

I’m using the Outlook Email action to send my emails, because (1) my org uses Outlook, and (2) normal Send Email automations get caught by the spam filter of various Outlook distribution emails that are the recipients of certain automations.In the last month, there have been two different instances of the Microsoft API being down, causing my Outlook Email-based notifications to fail to send. But these emails are sending essential information, and I’d like to be able to do something else (send a Slack, or use the standard Send Email action) if the automation failed. Is there anything in either automations or the various APIs that would support this?

Hello everyone,I've built an automation to update records in Airtable whenever a new row is added to a Google Sheet. I've run all the tests I can think of, but I'm unable to toggle the automation on.What's strange is that it works perfectly when I run it manually. I've also confirmed that the connection between my Airtable and Google Sheets accounts is solid, as I have another automation that successfully creates new rows in Google Sheets from Airtable updates. It just doesn't seem to want to work the other way around.Could anyone help me troubleshoot this? Thank you.  

Hello airtable community,  I am facing a problem while working on my CRM base. I have an auto “created date” field to track when a new deal was created. I then use this field in the interface to create a dashboard so this field is important. The problem I am facin now is that some of my team members have not filled up this table with their deals and are lacking behind. They are now going to update it but when they will create a new deal the “created date” field will be updated as today’s date even though the deal might have actually happened months ago. In this way my dashboard will not reflect my actual dealflow. How can I have a field that will basically fill up itself as a general rule but which I could still modify if i need to? I hope this is clear. Thanks,

Hello all. having some trouble. I set up a form with multiple choice questionnaire where each choice has a unique score where the total some based on the answers gives a range where it will determine the reediness of an organization, we are consulting. The scores are then set up to our dashboard where we can determine what path to pursue for their consultation. it seems like I can get the scores to be set up correctly within the form and could use some serious help!  

Hello everyone! :wave: I would like to know if I am the only one getting crazy about this… is it a bug?? VERY often, when I move the scrolling cursor up and down in my list, then let it go, it still keeps following my mouse up/down movement (while losing my position). I then have to find the record line again and click the cursor again so it finally let it go. I had this problem on the horizontal scrolling bar too. I haven’t seen this problem in any other software that I use, and it is time and nerve consuming!! I hope I am not the only one… I would then report it as a probable bug! That said, another point on those scrolling bar: they are uselessly too thin, aren’t they? It is often hard to see and catch them. I understand that it is probably to make AT looks good (it does), but it is not practical. I would prefer a good classic and ugly but efficient scrolling bar. Anyone thinking the same?
