I’m trying to build a comprehensive marketing ‘universe’ for a company i’m contracting for. I’ve designed a pretty slick content calendar system, but i am really need a way to interface with other stakeholders without giving them full access to airtable. (think PMs, Creative team for creative review etc.) I want to use portals but is cost prohibitive for me right now. Anyone have any work arounds? where I just want to show them a view without inviting them to the whole base as a contributor?

Hello !this might sound strange but I'm encoutering issues while wanting to allow users to edit or add new records to a list view in an interface. Sometimes the toggle button to allow this just doesnt exist ... this is quite frustrating and I haven't figured out the way out of this. Please help 🙂 See screenshot

Hello! I’m working on a series of budget interfaces for my team members in a university office, and I want them to be able to edit certain fields of their personal budget “dashboards” (not the Airtable Dashboard interface style, just the word they’re using) without editing all of the details...which would open us up to folks potentially messing up other important info by mistake.  Currently we have the dashboards viewable as grids, because they give us the option to have Sums at the bottom of each column, showing folks what their running balance is for each budget category. However, the only way I can seem to get the “edit this column” option is by using a List view, instead of a Grid, which doesn’t calculate the sum automatically. Is there a workaround for this folks have seen? Essentially, I want them to be able to edit some-not-all of the records’ fields, and I want an automatically calculated sum at the bottom of the grid/list/etc. Ideas? Very new to this. Is there a way to create a fill-able form for my employees to fill out and submit. When they submit it, I’d like it to show up as an attachment next to their name in their row. I don’t want to create a new row for each form submission because it’ll add up quick with everyone doing weekly forms. My employees have to fill out a form every week and submit that so I need a way to keep track of who submitted/when and keep them all together. Thank you!

Hello,I have a table with a file field, there I also have a “file url” field where I add the expiring downlad url of that file. As this url expire after 2 hours, I search for a solution to update this url every 2 hours so it stay available. I tried with automations first : Tried a repetition group but the problem is that all I can do is add the whole list of url (separated with comma) from all the records, i cannot find how to add the url of this record only. For exemple I want to have :File url of record 1 = url 1File url of record 2 = url 2File url of record 3 = url 3 But what I have is :File url of record 1 = url 1, url 2, url 3File url of record 2 = url 1, url 2, url 3File url of record 3 = url 1, url 2, url 3 So I tried with scripts, I found a script extension that work perfectly (its named “Convert attachments to URLs”) but I cannot find how to execute it automatically every 2 hours. So I tried the “run script” option in automations, but it seem I can’t connect scripts from exten

Hello Airtable community! I’ve got a new IF formula that’s giving me trouble - I’m trying to format titles from our database for a distributor that needs the components in a certain order, which changes based on other parameters. To begin with, I was able to set up a statement that only targeted records where the format is listed as “Issue” and then get the root of the new title created with existing fields like so:UPPER(IF({Format Type}="Issue",CONCATENATE({Title w/o Article}," ","#"," ",{CVR A, B, C}," ",{Cover Artists}," ","VAR"),""))That gives me, as an example, MADE UP TITLE #1 CVR A PABLO PICASSO VAR and also returns an empty field for anything that’s not an ‘Issue’. The problem with this formula is that if it’s CVR A, then there shouldn’t be a ‘VAR’ at the end. Hi all, we’re a custom sportswear company using Airtable to track orders. At the moment we have a single line item for each garment ordered, and the numbers of each size. The view is grouped by contract number so we have all garments for each client grouped together. So for example we might have: Line Contract Garment XS S M L XL 1 1875 Bobs Bikes Cycling Jersey 1 2 3 2 1 2 1875 Bobs Bikes Cycling Shorts 1 1 1 3 1 3 1875 Bobs Bikes Cycling Jacket 0 2 2 1 0 My question is whether I can collect this information in an airtable form to auto populate our airtable? I have tried creating a form for this but under Garment it will only allow me to choose one garment, OR I can setup the garment field to allow the form filler to choose multiple garments . I will not go into full detail because it is exhausting, but I have run into a situation where data written into my base occasionally has a trailing space character, which caused confusion and havoc between airtable and softr over the past 4+ weeks.The extra [space] character is really just typo. But to the naked eye, it cannot even be seen. How can I prevent any trailing [space] characters being written in the future?? Is there a native trim function?

Good day everyone! I want your feedback on how to complete this. I have a table of ‘Projects’ listed and includes a linked field where I select multiple records that represent rooms of a house. This is what I want to do: once I select multiple rooms of the house, I want to auto-create a list for that particular project that includes default furniture and accessory pieces for each associated room of the house. That way, I’m not having to manually write it for each project that comes up. It may be easier for me to create an excel document to include the most common rooms with associated furniture and décor pieces. What are your thoughts? If it’s possible to complete, do you have any recommendations on how to make it happen? Thank you!

I run my market garden business on airtable. The market price for my vegetables change monthly or seasonly. At the moment I use a formula field to calculate the return on my production each month . I have a table for each vegetable price but when my prices change how do I stop the new price altering all my previous months. Do I need to use a script?

Hey guys, I’m working on a custom script, and I need to use the value of a rollup field. I’ve tried:record.getCellValueAsString("Publishing Breakdown");inputConfig.itemsitems is added as a variable which pulls the value from Publishing Breakdown.I either get null or empty array.

I have found some posts on printing mailing labels via Page Designer, but they were from 2018. Since it is 2023, I was hoping if there was a way to print on Avery labels with Airtable. I don't have an actual label printer, just a regular old printer and some Avery sheet labels. Be aware that every label would be unique.Example:

I’m having a hard time finding the correct links for the columns-  airtable API key (which tells me I’m supposed to create a token for it which I did but not too sure on how to copy it and paste it on there) Airtable database app (not to sure where to find this located either.) My goal is to make it close to the template that it provides with the leaderboard. I was looking for something like this, but couldn’t find an airtable formula so I thought I would share mine. Hey everyone,I’m trying to imbed an image of our plant into a dashboard I have created. The goal is to create a “heat map” of all existing product based on concentration and location. I have everything else completed, but can’t figure out for the life of me if I’m able to do this as it’s crucial to the completion of the dashboard. 

I want to be able to see more information for my events in the calendar interface, similar to Notion and/or Clickup. Airtable only allowing me to show everything on a single line makes it really messy - I want to be able to see it as multi-line. Putting it all as labels is insanely messy. Hoping that someone has a possible solution for this - is there a place where I can put in a feature request? This seems like something that exists on most scheduling apps I’ve seen, really disappointed to not have it in Airtable.

I’m struggling to get an automation to work properly with a Find Records action. I’m trying to update a record in a table when a record in another table matches certain conditions.  Here is my current automation: Everything works for both conditions until it get to the Find records action. The records are linked in both tables. In the table initially updated (IRA Projects) the field SOW Form is the link to the SOW & Invoices table (secondary table I’m trying to update a record) In the SOW & Invoices table the field IRA Project # is the link to the record in the IRA Projects table These 2 numbers are the same, so I would think it should be a simple matter of finding Here is my configuration (same for both conditions) I’ve tried pulling the SOW Form from both the trigger step and the first update record action, but neither seems to find any records. I’ve seen something like this asked, but not really seeing responses?  But it got me thinking….  Is it really possible to have two different forms feed into a single base?  My thought process is this.  Creating an onboarding base so we can make sure we get everything completed for every hire.  But questions we ask on applications can vary based on the job(s) they are applying for, so having several forms with the specific questions would be great instead of having questions that only certain people would fill out or verbiage that is correct for some, but not for others.Is it REALLY possible to do this?  Yesterday I was trying to determine if there was a way to set up a form with sections so that each section of questions was for specific jobs, but the form will be LONG.  Having different forms based on the job they are applying for would be much better, if it will truly work.

Hi, I created my first form today and liking the tools, however i find the linear scrolling required to access a multi-field form a bit long winded… Can i modify the layout and locate fields where i need to, to make the form more compact and intuitively laid out, and potentially all fields on a single screen/page? I looked at a thread from 2020, and it mentioned JotForm using Zapier ? Has there been any changes since then to Form layouts for Airtbale? Thanks You, Simon.
