I'm trying to solve two interrelated questions, but first a prologue:Current Setup:I have built a project portal on softr using airtable as the data source.Presently each project has 18 tasks all added to the project by an automationMy project members are split into two groups (admin & client)I have a project field that identifies the project "primary contact" in the even there is more than one project member on the client side.Automation currently assigns the first 10 tasks to the primary contact upon creation of the project recordA different automation adds the remaining 8 tasks to the project as unassignedThe unassigned tasks are a mixture of tasks to be assigned to the client at a later stage and the admin.The admin tasks were not getting assigned in advance because I had not figured out a good way to do this but a recent suggestion from @Mike_Autom

I have a table called Task template, which contains a 18 records of all the tasks I want assigned to a project. I have been using a simple automation that runs in airtable when a new project record is detected. The automation finds all the tasks in the template table then loops through the resulting list and creates new tasks in the task table matching each of the template tasks.  This all works fine.This evening I added a step to set a field in each newly created task to be the assignee based on a field in the project table that initiated the automation. This works too... but sets ALL 18 tasks with the same assignee, and this is not what I want.Each task has a field called "system task ID" which is a text field containing value 001 - 018. The intent was to make these tasks referenceable in the softr platform I am using with this data.The challenge I need to figure out is how can I set the automation to set the assignee ONLY on newly created tasks with a sy

Trying to get my dashboard interface to show a graph with multiple Y axis that links to a record picker. So far, I've only been able to get 1 Y axis, I can get multiple Y axis when I don't use a record picker though.  

A coworker accidentally hit the unsubscribe button on an automated email.  How can we get her re-subscribed?  We looked at the notification settings on her account, and they are both checked.  She still receives no alerts from the automations I set up.  Please help!

I'm getting a pop-up saying "This form was upgraded" when I edit one of my forms.  I've tried both options it gives me, but I can't get the message to stop popping up.  It's unclear what to do.

I have a database with two separate tabs that are not related to each other:Projects Tab: This tracks projects, including their start and end dates.General Tasks Tab: This contains various tasks assigned to people only when they are not working on a project.Currently, I have an Interface with a Timeline View that displays the start and end dates of each project, grouped by person. This allows me to visualize the workload of each individual based on their assigned projects.I would like to enhance this Timeline by also including the information from the General Tasks tab. This way, I can see the complete workload of all team members, whether they are working on a project or handling general tasks.

Hi all, I'm am building a price comparison base which will be used to compare pricing from 1000+ suppliers on a range of products (3000+), but as a former Excel user, I'm struggling to mentally picture the base.I understand it would be one table for products and one table for suppliers, but I'm not sure how I structure the records to report on the cheapest supplier price.So if Product A is sold by supplier 1,2,3 & 4:1. How do I link each supplier to the product with their respective price?2. How do I get a column to show the cheapest price and from which supplier?My brain automatically reverts to rows for products and columns for suppliers, but I know that's a  spreadsheet mentality and I will regret it as the data grows... Any help sincerely appreciated!

I am using airtable with softr for a client portal, and I and trying to configure and automation to send and an email to the portal admin alerting them that a user has logged in for the first time. I have a "users" table in airtable which maps to the "users" table in softr. I have last modified turned "on" in air table. Softr maintains it's own "last seen" field which I have mapped into a matching date field in air table. The basic logic is that the "last seen" field is empty until a user logs in. So I would think that I would just need to trigger when the "last seen" is part of the "last modified" history? But this alone would result in an email going out every time the last seen field changes which would be every time the user logs in.I only care about the FIRST time, so I would need a way to check if the "last seen" field was previously empty, then compare it to the current field contents. I just do not understand where I would get the "previous" value from?

I know there are a number of Noloco users who use Airtable as the back end, and I'm hoping for some advice.I have a fairly complex app and due to some changes my clients IT team made the magic links and password reset emails not longer get to the users.  Noloco support is recommending I clone the app under a new name which should work as long as the new name is acceptable.Has anyone had experience with cloning apps (I've done it but not with a larger live app)?  Is there anything I should watch for or be aware of?Thanks.  

Is it possible to add validation for linked record rows?I am using the Record Review layout to display data with a one-to-many relationship. I need to apply validation to ensure that the value is not empty and does not exceed a dynamically generated value.Is this possible in an Airtable interface?Thanks.

Hi all! I am trying to find a method to tell me the Field Name of the last modified field, using a Formula. Is this possible without external scripting? I'd also settle for Field ID, although not most ideal 🙃Was hoping for a function like LAST_MODIFIED_TIME( FIELDNAME() ) or something.Basically, I have logs coming into a Logs table with 100(ish) columns, and I want to know at a glance what type of logs that particular one is 🙂Thanks in advance!Adam

I have a form where users will enter product details, among those details is the "Field Date", I am trying to set up automation so that when they submit a form and enter a new record, it takes the "Field Date" and subtracts 11 days from it and then enters the new date into the "Feedback Due" column for that product.I have a TRIGGER set to recognize when the "Field Date" is not empty. My ACTION is set to Update Record, then in the "Feedback Due" I am trying to use DATEADD({Field Date}, -11, 'days') to calculate the new date.I just get "Field "Feedback Due" cannot accept the provided value: Could not convert string to date."Both columns are set to the same date format. I am new to airtable and would appreciate any help anyone can provide to get me going in the right direction.

I can’t figure out how to center align a column. Surely I can do this?

I am working on an interface to summarize project line items by vendor with the goal of seeing how much of each project order needs to be ordered from each vendor.  To do this, I am using the list interface and grouping line items by project and vendor.  In the interface, the only summary data shown at the vendor level is record count.  However, within the base, it gives you the option to show summary data for different columns (i.e. sum /average of column at lowest level).  Is this possible within the list interface?  Or would a different interface be more useful?

Hi All, I'm new on using Airtable Automations and have been trying to sync content with a Google Spreadsheets file.Once using the "When record update" trigger type, I've observed that each "enter" command made by the user when typing on a specific cell/field in Airtable creates a new row in the GSheet tab.My question is: how to assure that the GSheets will reflect and store only the final status, i.e., the most up-to-date content in Airtable?Rks in advance for your thoughts! 

Why do we use the Data Set feature? What is the point / benefit? Each project has a start and end date and a monthly retainer fee, which are recorded in the project's record in my project table. Hi,I have a formula that almost works. I'm trying to make my primary field a formula where it looks at "Column A" and looks at "Column B". If a there's a value in "Column A", enter that value as the primary field. If there's a value in "Column B", enter that value in the primary filed. Say I have a base with a table that has a parent/child relationship with itself.  Projects with parent/child projects, Tasks with subtasks, Contacts with links to a fiance or manager – there's a lot of use-cases for linking a record to another record in the same table.  The problem I'm running into is that two-way sync doesn't allow you to edit linked records to the same table.Linked records in two way sync is so great, and it fixed soooooo many things in my workflow – but I can't figure this one out.  Links to the same table are not editable in the target base as far as I can tell, but I really really want to be able to make changes to parent/child relationships in a target base. The only way around this I've been abl
