I am an admin of my company. My company works primarily within interfaces, but I would like to invite one of my colleagues to access the base data itself. How do I do this?

I have a simple automation that checks once a day whether a list of records in table A can be linked to a synced table - table B. It first finds all the records that have no links. Then it loops through the list and tries to add a concatenation field to my linked field. If there is a record in my synced table that matches my concatenation field, then it links to that record. If not, I assumed nothing would happen, and it’ll wait until the next day to try again. However, it sends me emails every day with an error saying, “Updating the record failed due to insufficient permissions.”I assume this is because it thinks that the ones without any matching records it should create a record in my synced table, which it obviously can’t do.Is there a way around this so it does not throw an error if there is nothing to link to?

Hello, I have created a Google sheet -Airtable integration through Make. Althought the scenario is successful and the data is fetched correctly, the results do not appear on Airtable. I have run it before and had worked.Can you please help me on what might be wrong?Thank you

I don't believe there is this functionality but can gmail SEND email to an Airtable Base?  (like forwarding an email to airtable)

Does anyone know a way to save Outlook emails for future reference? Something where you just click and drag the email in to Airtable and open it in Outlook when you click on it. I guess you can drag it in as an attachment but it won’t then you have to download it to again it instead of it just going straight to Outlook and opening it up. Anyone know the best way to store emails on Airtable?

I’m working with a list layout interface. I’ve toggled the option on for users to filter, but the dropdown is not offering me all fields, only a (unknown what) selection. (Sorry for huge images, I still can’t figure out how to resize.) The field I’m looking for is called © Email. It’s a single line text field and it is the primary field in table. Instead I can only some other fields with email in the name. Is this an Airtable limitation or am I don’t something wrong? I can’t find documentation on it. Thanks. 

I am hoping someone can help me with this! I have tried and tried to find a solution, but I’m having trouble. Currently, records are named using a PDF filename that is synced from a Google Drive folder. (ie -- 123456789.pdf) The number of digits before in the PDF range from 4 to 9 digits. Currently, the record name becomes G-123456789 in our table.However, we have a new naming convention for our documents. So, I need to pull only PART of the filename to name the record. The new naming convention looks like this:123456789 North Smith 04-03-2025.pdfI need it to pull just the first number (123456789) to use to name the record in Airtable. I hope that makes sense, and I hope someone can help! Thank you!

hi im really struggling with something that i think should be easy but is very challenging to get right. I’ve been tinkering with scripts, automations and apps now to basically just manage one field in one of my tables. I am creating a scope of work configurator that has a list of components in one table and in another table i want to create records for each distinct project that I create. What i would like to happen is to have a checkbox in the components table and then run a script to fire at my command, to then have a chosen record in the projects table to link to all checked records and then pull in the data it has to run a simple calculation/formula on to get a result that totals an estimate for the amount of hours it would take to complete all the checked items. I need each project to be distinct so i can continue to update its unique record based on what’s checked in my script/app without having to create new tables or new bases for each distinct project.

I am looking for a way to upload csv files of data into different tables but have them linked. Is this something I will need to do manually, or through an automation?I have one table Companies and the other table with Employees. I need the employees linked to the companies table but I am unsure the best/easiest way to do this via csv upload.Thank you for your help!

Hello, Our office has an Intranet using Microsoft Sharepoint. I am trying to embed our Airtable database onto the Sharepoint using the native “embed” web part. We have had success using this component with data from other sites. When we attenmpted to embed the Airtable we got this message: “Embedding content from this website isn’t allowed, but your admin can change this setting. They will need to add ‘airtable dot com’ to the list of sites that are allowed” Our admin followed the instructions and added ‘airtable dot com’ but we are still getting the same error. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you!

I have created a form and I upgraded it.  I have published it, but when I try to copy the url so I can share it, it doesn’t copy.  Is there an alternate place to find the form url?  When I go back to my base and click on the Form View, it shows the old version, not the upgraded finished version.

Hello!I use a table daily to track my students' test scores for a standardized exam. The exam has three components: math, reading, and verbal.Each row is used to give details about a student's score in one specific section. For example, if Amanda sends me her test, she will actually get THREE rows in the table, like this:R1: Jane Smith | Math Section | 75 points | January 8 2024R2: Jane Smith | Reading Section | 21 points | January 8 2024R3: Jane Smith | Verbal Section | 36 points | January 8 2024The math/reading/verbal cell is a "choose one" cell. I cannot pre-fill the cell because it alternates between Math, Reading and Verbal. I wish there were a way to click a button that was like "create 3 new rows", and have them pre-filled with Math, then Reading, then Verbal in the section column. Any suggestions?

We use the page designer to generate commercial invoices. We are running into the issue where we have multple static lines of text that often have a $0.00 value. These are no longer being accepted so we need those static lines to hide when the corresponding value is $0.00.  Is this possible to do? I’ve played around but haven’t found anything yet...

I have a make.com scenario that populates videos from Google Drive to a table. I’m trying to create an automation in Airtable that takes all of the data from that original record, and simply creates a new record in a different table with that same data.Ex. Record goes into Table 1 > Automation Triggered > Same record goes into Table 2 Should be absurdly basic, but I keep running into an issue with the video attachment field when trying to test the automation.I’ve tried every single type of data from the video column. How do i  find duplicate records based on an email address and remove them autmatically? I have a table that is bringing in registrants for a free event (via zapier) and I am seeing there are some duplicates that are showing up.  Presumably the person forgot they already signed up. I need to track accurate numbers.  How can I do this?
