Hello, I need to create a database for a fire station with:- A table for staffing levels- A table for scheduling training sessions- A table to indicate which personnel were present or absentWhat I'm doing isn't very efficient. Could someone help me? I'm new to Airtable and its many features.Thanks

Our small creative team uses Airtable in a KanBan view to manage client workflow. Each client has a base. Within each base, we typically include the active teammate assigned to the task as a field on each record. This allows us to manage team bandwidth for that particular client, but we still have to manually manage our teams task assignments across various client bases.Is there a way to pull records from different bases within a shared team workspace? We’d like to have an internal view stacked by team member.

My sync stopped working even when I manually sync. When I have investigated what the issue is I did find out that sync stops working when the source base is inactive which could be the case here. But how do I fix this issue without losing any data? I have tried resyncing to the original view and also syncing to a duplicate view. I’m lost. 

I am seeking to set up a new base for my Podcast with all the lessons learned from using airtable the last several month, however I am unsure the best way to go about planning a whole new base.  Is there any suggestions for best practices?

I am evaluating various platforms to build a custom production scheduling application for a client.  Here are some details:Customers place orders for products they need produced Each order can have multiple line items for different products they would like produced Each order line item needs to be scheduled on one or more machines to be produced. The scheduled jobs for each line item need to be run sequentially, but not necessarily back-to-back.  In fact, some products need to sit for a set period of time after one job before it can be consumed by the next job to make the final product If the date of the first job scheduled for a line item needs to be adjusted ahead or back, the other subsequent jobs need to be adjusted by the same amount of time as well.  For example, if a customer orders “Product A”, which needs to run on “Machine 1” on 3/20, then “Machine 2” on 3/21, then “Machine 3” on 3/25, if the job scheduled on “Machin

I have an Airtable base for events I host. We get repeat attendees at the different events. I would like to send text messages to the participants at a particular event if they opt in for text messages. I have this all working.The issue I need help with is that I’d like to keep a master list of participants and their phone numbers who have already opted in at a previous event so they don’t have to opt-in every time. I’m looking for suggestions on how to handle this. When I add a participant for a new event, it needs to check the master opt-in table to see if there is a match. There will be records that don’t have a match as they have not completed the opt-in previously and opt-in records that won’t have a participant as they are not attending this event. As I write this, I’m wondering if an automation is where I need to go for this???

my question is regarding FormsI have a table countries with country name as main field.in my main table clients I have a field client_country filed which is a field linked to table countriesI want to create a Form view of the clients table.For the field "Client_Country I want to display a select dropdown to select a country among the list from the table countries  Instead of that, in the form besides the field Client_Country, I have a button "Add a file", which is not what I want  Can you please guide me to get the possibility to select one country from the list of countries ?  Many thanks in advance

 I’ve been building an Airtable app for my team (about 10 people) at a foundation. We make a lot of grants across different programs, and I’ve been trying to create a central hub for all of our work. So much of what we do overlaps that it just made sense to keep everything in one app rather than splitting it up.Right now I’ve got about 15 tables:  organizations, projects, tasks, budgets, inquiries (from email), notes, annual budgets, program budgets, etc. It’s a big base, but I’ve built separate interfaces for each program, so even though the back end is large, the front end feels really clean.Some folks on my team have suggested that each program should have its own app, with a master one where everything rolls up. I’m not sure that’s the best approach. it feels like it would add more work and complexity.Curious what others think.  has anyone else gone through this decision? Hello I thought this would be simple to figure out but somehow its not working for me.I have 4 tables.  They are all linked together.  Each field in everyone of these 4 tables has a common Dept Code (this is their link to each other).  Also in each of these fields is a field Associated Program.  At times we may need to edit the data in the Associated Program field.  If we do this I would like that update to appear in all the other tables as well.  I thought if I linked them this would be the case.  But they are linked on the dept code?  How can I create something that would update this other field in each of these tables.   Thank you, hope this makes sense.

Just posting this to check if there is some kind of systemic issue happening, or if this s***storm is unique to my Org. Airtable status says fully operational but something is definitely wrong.My Organization has several bases that are currently experiencing a complete collapse in their functionality. At the moment, we have 4 bases that cannot be accessed reliably, and 2 of these can’t be accessed at all. The bases can’t be loaded by any user, on any device, on any network. I’m an event promotor. I’ve been using AT for a while to keep track of community member applications, event details, and general ticket sales. Hi everyone 👋I’m trying to find the best way for multiple users to import data (from XLS or CSV files) into the same base — ideally directly through an Interface rather than the Extensions panel.We’ve tried the CSV Import Extension, but: The import mapping doesn’t save across users. Even for the same user, it sometimes resets or forgets the previous mapping. There’s no way to create or reuse “import templates” for different file types or tables. What we’d really like is: A way for different users to upload a file (XLS or CSV) through an Interface form or button, Automatically import it into a target table using a consistent field mapping, And ideally store those mappings permanently (so no need to re-map each time). I feel like I’m missing something pretty easy. I’m having a hard time converting what I do in Excel into our Airtable base. Each year our clients' total sales (a rollup of their sales for a given year) converts to shares based on a sales/shares tier. The tier changes every year. Because of this, we want to track the data historically. For example:Client ABC’s 2024 Total Sales were $250,000 and they earned 4 shares based on the 2024 shares tier.Client ABC’s 2025 Total Sales were again $250,000, but this year they earned 2 shares because the tiers changed in 2025. We need to track the tier changes each year as to keep data integrity of the shares earned each year by our clients. (We don’t want ABC’s 2024 points to change from 4 to 2, which it would if we use a nested if formula - the change in criteria for 2025 would mean an edit to the formula which would have a cascade affect and change all previous year's data.) ANNUAL

I have a base that I’ve published as a library, let’s call it Part Numbers. It only has two fields - a Part Number and a description. I have 2 or 3 other bases that are pulling in this library as a table, and they’re linking records to it.I now need to make some updates to the Part Numbers base - some individual #s may be deleted, or descriptions might be changed, etc. If I upload a new CSV to the main library base and overwrite everything that’s there, but many of the #s never change at all, will the linked records in other bases stay linked?

Recently we have been displaced due to flooding in our apt, I wanted to create a base to track the items which need replacing and repair along side with an image to have an overview and then send to our insurance. The left sidebar, which contains nothing but the new LLM button, can no longer be collapsed. In an interface that is essentially a series of excel-like rows and tables, every inch of my screen is valuable, especially on a laptop screen. This bar of empty space actively slows down my workflow as it increases the amount of scrolling sideways I have to do, and it also throws off my muscle memory by moving all of the tabs over, and pushes the actual useful information on the left side of the screen away from the edge of the screen where I am used to finding it. Please add an option to move the LLM button to the top right, next to the base history and contact sales buttons, where there is a ton of empty space already. Or, add an option to minimize the sidebar, like we used to be able to. Or better yet, give us an option to hide the LLM button entirely if we are not interested in using it. I know every CEO believes that LLMs are the next big thing that must be

Hi guys, I am new to this… I am trying to sync my Shopify orders to airtable. If customer order 2 times, how can I separate the 2 items to 2 records instead of all jam in one? So I’ve been employed by a business to consult on a new food menu, cost recipes and implement a standard recipe book. They use airtable in their other venues for some things like inventory management but not kitchen operations. They’ve asked that I try build a tool for the kitchen that can then be shared across the group.Being new, I only got so far and I’m feeling a bit lost and confused about layout, how some things drag information from where and why some things are where they are. The AI tool has got me so far and it’s been good. But to fine dial this tool for their specific needs I am seeking help!How much are consultations? Does anyone do this for free/cheap to build their portfolio? I’m limited in what I can offer as the budget is well blown out on the venue already due to the build.

I am a big Airtable fan, I am very careful, but every now and then I create empty records by clicking on sections, etc. Now, I always figure it out and clean up but can only notice beginners do that almost systematically. I am sure certain there are UI enhancements the Airtable team could implement to make people aware they are actually adding entries in a table.

I am trying to create a call log for our company, but the issue is that I want to figure out how to display multiple back and forth or escalations relating to one call case without adding many rows. I think this could be done with linked records. but here is the schema: Last Name First Name ID Date Type Relation Reason Description Phone Email Link to Assigned Staff / Assigned Team for follow-up. Status (for follow-up) with Resolved or Escalated. I want to demonstrate if it is Escalated that it would move to another person, and allow them to do the next level of response. Hi all,I’m trying to set up a self-linking “Related Records” field in Airtable (Team license) so that when I link one record to another, the linked record automatically shows the same relationship in return, within a single field.Right now I have: A Related Records linked-record field (self-linking within the same table) Airtable’s automatic “From field: Related Records” mirror field, which shows the reciprocal links Functionally this works, but the relationships appear split across two fields.My goal is to have all related records appear together in one field, even if that means creating a new combined field.I’ve tried to figure out if a formula or automation could merge the two linked-record lists into a single multi-value linked field, but haven’t found a way that works.Has anyone successfully combined self-links and their reciprocal “fro
