Hello 🙂 I am creating a scenario in Make(Integromat) to resize images, and compress if they exceed 5MB in size. Bellow is the screenshot of the scenario I have created, but it is not working as expected. I use HTTP to check the resized image size in MB From here on, I am no longer sure what I did wrong, but Get multiple variables does not give me the resizes and compressed image. If the scenario received two images, one being resized and other compressed, I get two same compressed images. I would really appreciate help. Thank you, Pjero 🙂

I am trying to sync the Ask/Bid prices of several cryptocurrency prices, along with their trading volumes, from different exchanges in real-time (Or at a maximum of every 2 minutes) into my Airtable via API or any possible alternate method. I have attached a screenshot of how I would like my table to look like. There will be a list of ~2000 cryptocurrencies that I need to be constantly updated. If the specific cryptocurrency is not traded on a specific exchange, it should leave the field empty. I was able to get the job done via DataFetcher, but unfortunately, it is not a cost-efficient approach. I am open to getting this done via Javascript scripting if possible. I am looking for something cost-efficient in the long run that will not require hundreds of dollars every month. If you can get this job done, please let me know.

Currently, when typing an entry into a select or multiselect field, anything is accepted when user hits enter. I.e., if the user makes a typo or uses an alt spelling for an existing entry, a new entry is created. This creates a task of cleaning and normalizing options and data after the fact. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a “Confirm New Entry” toggle for [multi]select fields? If set, then a user is prompted to confirm before entering a new option.

Since Airtable allows its forms and gallery views to be easily accessible on mobile phones, it’s a lot easier to give the kids credit for chores done. Inspect the work, whip out your phone and fill out the ‘Chores Completed Form.’ Likewise, if they spend money (or if you have older teens with their own checking accounts), you can easily record when they purchase something via “Bank of Mom” or if you transfer the money. The kids can view their individual balances via a custom ‘gallery’ view. Can add kids, change the chores list and payouts, etc. to fit your family. A lot easier than a spreadsheet.

Some weeks ago I built a super simple, yet very very powerful automation, for helping a friend parse invoices, and thought it would be helpful for others to post a basic guide (and open the discussion for improvements) here. Proof of Concept: By uploading an Invoice to Airtable. An automation would use AI to extract, Invoice Line Item Descriptions, Quantity and Totals. Then the automation would create the corresponding records with precise information. Therefore my friend can now get all insights from the invoices his company receives (how much they’re spending, what they’re spending on, and a clear picture of overall finances). Needs: Airtable paid plan for scripting and AI features. Areas of improvement: Prompt for AI, as well as Json output would need some iterations to allow handling multiple different invoice formats. This blog post by Airtable recommends using Airtable as a DAM (digital asset management) tool. My company uses Airtable as a DAM, and when I was a consultant, I worked on projects involving using Airtable as a DAM. Airtable's blog article leaves out a few concepts that you should consider if you want to use Airtable as a DAM. - Most DAMs also provide CDN (content delivery network) services. Airtable has stated that it is not designed to be a CDN. The loss of permanent attachment URLs matches the idea of Airtable not being a CDN. If you want to use Airtable as a DAM, make sure that you don't also need it to be a CDN. - Most of the systems that I have built for using Airtable as a DAM involved at least one third-party service, and some use multiple third-party services. *Original post has been updated to include a few more notes and screenshots* If you prefer working in the Airtable desktop app and wish you could create shortcuts that opened a base or interface in the desktop app instead of a browser window... I have somewhat of a workaround. The desktop app is essentially a web app. You'll be creating your own web app(s) using Safari 17 or higher. This method will require a Mac running Sonoma or Sequoia. Log into Airtable on Safari and navigate to the desired base or interface page that you want your web app to open to. (You'll be creating as many of these as you need, each opening to a specific base & table view or interface page) Copy the full URL in the address bar In the menu bar, navigate to File>Add to Dock... In the dialog box that appears, enter the name of your web app in the upper space and paste the full URL into the lower space. Click "Add" to add a shortcut to the web app to your dock. I run a custom design build remodeling company. I have created a prototype of an estimating tool in excel, but it is too limited for our needs. I am wondering if Airtable is the answer. The estimating tool will tool will require several bases that could build one on another. -Common Items -Assemblies of items into unit costing -Gathering of unit costs with take off into estimated -Ability to gather, summarize and parse the costs by building div and type. We don’t need an estimating software to run the business; we have that in CoConstuct and other industry standard applications. We just need a place to store and access our custom data for estimating. Here's something I created using automations with a script to allow me to get quick totals on any table view for specific values. I have 2 cases listed below and have found it to be a great way of collecting totals without having to create other linked records, rollups etc. Of course I have to hit the recalculate checkbox to get my total for each row, so it's not live, but I can live with that. Also, you have to make sure your references are correctly spelled (Source Table, Source View, etc). I hope others find it useful. Hi Airtable Community, I urgently need clarification on the best Airtable plan for selling templates. I recently had a video call with the Airtable team, but my main concern wasn’t fully addressed, and I need to make a decision ASAP since I’m actively selling a product. My situation: I’m creating and selling Airtable templates that my clients should be able to fully edit—entering data, modifying records, updating menus, etc. Essentially, they need to use the template independently within their own workspace.
