Hello all, I created a form, and one of the field values needs to be "1" as the default value. However, I need that hidden so that when someone goes to submit data, they don't have to fill that field in as "1".Now this is what I have:I tried hiding this field from the form options listed, but when I go to submit this form - it doesn't display a "1" in the field value on the table view. I also tried this method on the table view:When I go to create a record on the table view - it does default the value to "1", but on form submission - it does not. Any idea what it is that I'm doing wrong?Thanks. 

Hello all!I’m working with an interface in Airtable where each record has a side panel that opens when I click on it, showing more information related to that record. When I click the link button at the top-right corner of the panel, I get a unique URL that directs me to that record with the side panel already opened, were I to paste it into a new window or share with a colleague.For example, each record has a unique detail parameter in the URL that seems to encode both the record ID and other information. I’ve tried creating a formula to dynamically generate these URLs based on the RECORD_ID(), but I can't figure out how to replicate the exact structure of the detail parameter that opens the side panel view for each record. I've used AI to try and help, but the best solution proposed so far is manually entering each URL into the field.... Hi there,we want to use Airtable Interfaces on Android phones in our field operations. The main challenge I'm encountering:When making edits to a barcode field (scanning a barcode or typing something), these edits seem to exist on the local phone only. They show on that phone in different Interface-views. However, the edits cannot be seen on a different device and are gone when the app is closed and re-opened. Hence, I believe the edits to a barcode-field on Interfaces on Android are never uploaded to the base. We've tried this on different Android-devices and always encounter this problem.Any recommendations on how to solve this would be much appreciated!

Is there ANY possible way to add color to the "Number" field inside the interface?I would love to change this dynamically; if positive green, when negative red. I have a bunch of these numbers on my interface that I'd like to track, and having this basic functionality would help to draw attention 

Hi there, I'm using the list view in interface designer as a project management tool. When I am trying to drag a line/task to another position, this doesn't work. I want this to work as in Todoist, Microsoft To do or Clickup (in Todoist it works best). I want to manually sort tasks in list view and also drag them to different tasks as subtasks.In my underlying grid view table, each record presents a task / subtask. In this table, I use a child task column for the nested hierarchy in list view.Can you please adjust this, so we can use Airtable like Todoist, Microsoft To do or Clickup?Regards,Chris

Hi there,On this interface page, I have 2 progress bars: one visualizing the percentage of people who said 'yes' on a topic and the other one for 'no'.But instead, I'd like to get a stacked bar chart that combines the two figures into one single visualization object (like in the example below).I don't think that's possible as of now on Airtable, at least not on a List-type page. Hi there,We're building a decision-making helper tool on Airtable to reduce the number of meetings at work. For each topic that requires discussion, we intend to have people use a dedicated Airtable interface. On it, someone creates the topic to be discussed and then assigns the relevant participants to it. Later on, the assigned participants weigh in on the topic.The screenshot below displays a list of the decisions to be discussed and of the positions taken by people. Hierarchy on this page is turned on, with topics being on Level 2 and positions on Level 1.As of now, new topics can be created with a short form that opens up when clicking a button, while positions can be created inline. Looks like all of my interfaces that have timeline views have pulled in all 'preview' fields into the record label ... Seems at the moment there's a bug where they can't be seperate and it looks super messy Thanks!Ross

I saw the functionality below on a youtube video from earlier this year, and I'm wondering if there's anyway to implement it, without using the Project Management template? It looks like, from an assignee field dropdown, it gives you a before and after of that user's capacity if assigned to them.  Amazing!Sadly, we're rolling our capacity up to Team level, as we have too many people to use it at the User level, but would love to see if this functionality is accessible outside of the template.Also if anyone has an thoughts / ideas / implemented solutions for forecasting using the utilisation tool, I'm all ears!  At the moment, it seems there's no way to see how a project will affect overall business capacity without adding a full project loaded up with all tasks, etc.  I'd love a similar setup to the above where yo

Hi there!  I'm hoping someone can guide me to a tutorial or has some great design ideas:  I have a base that calendarizes a huge list of events across multiple departments.  I have an interface page set-up with a record picker that displays relevant events.  I would love for each department to be able to review the list periodically and either suggest edits to existing records, or request new ones be added.My reason for not having them directly edit the records is because I want to (a) be sure that I know about changes, (b) can resolve conflicts if different team members varied info (that happens!) and (c) am concerned about data integrity when many of our users aren't regular airtable users! Is the best solution here to just allow users to make edits directly & just create some level of automation/notification when edits are made?  Or; I had thought to just request users to make edit suggestions by adding a comment to the

Hi guys, I built a CRM on Airtable. Each contact's details sidesheet features a 'LinkedIn Links' block. This block contains a 'Chat' button that redirects to the LinkedIn's conversation with the person. I'm trying to set the conditional visibility of that button: have it shown only when the `LinkedIn Chat URL` on my base is not empty.Problem: I can't find the field among the displayed fields. And yet:1. the page is linked to the right table, 'Contacts'2. the 'Contacts' table does have the `LinkedIn Chat URL` field (formula type)3. filters can display formula-type fields. E.g. the field `Full Name` in my case.

I want to create a chart that shows record counts of a table over time.  In our case, we have a table of clients and want to show how the total number of clients has changed over time.  I have a "Created time" column and I can use the COUNT formula to get the current number of clients, but I'm not sure how to get that COUNT over time.Any ideas?

I have recently starting migrating one of my apps to the builder hub for centralized distribution, and ran into an issue with Interfaces that leverage a button action to open a form.In the builder hub, the app functions perfectly fine - no issues at all.  Once the app is distributed, the url of the form instance within the target base changes, but the url in the interface button does not - causing a button click to reference the builder hub version of the form and thus perform lookups, etc. from the builder hub base in lieu of the base in the target workspace.It gets weirder though, as the managed app does know to store data in the correct base - its just lookups, filters, etc that do not function appropriately given anything inside the form leverages the base tied to the form itself. I did verify that the FORM URL changes upon distribution and the interface button action FORM URL does not.  While it could be

I recently updated a form to "new forms" (by clicking on the "⇧ upgrade to new forms" button from a form view within a base) and edited/published the form via an Interface (as opposed to within a base, as I've done previously). I want to enable the same "email me at xxxxx@domain.org"  option that is available in the old form builder, but I don't see that option anywhere in the new Interfaces form builder. I've set up an automation to send me a generic email each time the form is submitted, but what I really want is the same nice email I used to get with an overview of the form responses. Am I missing something obvious? Or is this feature not available with "new forms"? Thanks!

Hi, I had a question about comment notifications within interfaces. I have a base with a few interfaces all centered around records in one table. Each interface is accessible to a different user group - when one user group @s someone in a different user group - will it email that user if they don't have access to the interface that the original user commented on? and similarly, if they do get an email notification, where will the link take them when they click it?  Thank you!

Hi Everyone,I have base called PROJECTS with two tables:   1.  "Sync" that syncs all the values from another base called CLIENT MASTER.   2. "Projects" which is a list of projects.  Each record in "Project" can only have one client.When a new record is created in the "Project" table,  the user selects a linked client record from "Sync"  then there are lookup fields that auto-populate with fields like Account Executive, Partner, and other client information.So far that works just fine.I have created an interface with a list of records from the "Project" table.   I want to set a filter on the interface so that the only records displayed for the user are the ones where "Account Executive"= Current User.However, when I create the filter,  "Current User" is not an option.    Strangely, when I create another test field in the Projects table called "Test User" (User field type)

Hi there,I have a button that translates my article information using deepl. So the button is connected to an automation. I would like to re-use that button in another interface, but when I duplicate the page, I need to create a new automation. Can we not connect two buttons to the same automation? Cheers,Konrad

I think there's a bug in the Interface Calendar page.There are 2 different settings: Label, Fields - which I think were mixed lately.The record label shows the fields names that are selected in the Fields setting instead of the Label setting.In the attached screenshot you can see that I only have 1 field selected as a Label, but the actual record label is the set of fields from the Fields setting (8 fields). Can anyone confirm?  

I have a public (password protected) interface gallery view. It contains embedded cards.  With this password, I want people to be able to open the cards within each gallery item. Currently, without an account, you can see the interface gallery and navigate within it but you can't open any of the cards. Is there a way to publicly drill into an interface in the public view? I’ve built a client meeting interface for my team with the following elements: Client record dropdown element Meeting record dropdown element Client Goal filter element (to filter for only the goals linked to the meeting) Client Action Item filter element (to filter for only the action items linked to the meeting) My objective is to generate an automated URL to view the interface with all 4 elements prefilled. I’ve been able to prefil the client record and meeting record, since these only use record IDs. However I can’t seem to identify what data type the filters utilise in their url code.  I want to calculate the average income per hour correctly by dividing sum of total price by sum of total hours. In the left number the average is calculated incorrectly by dividing the sum of income per hour with the number of projects. Is this possible? I would need calculations in the interface I guess.

Hi allI'm trying to create an interface (dashboard) that uses a report Filter on client ID (eg. so that client A can only see client A data on the dashboard) (https://support.airtable.com/docs/interface-element-filter).I have shared the interface to a test user as readonly, however the test user can simply change the value in the filter on top of the dashboard, then he can see any client's data.What I'm looking for is to grey out the dashboard filter value, so it says client = "client A" for client A, and client = "client B" for client B etc).... I know I can create a different view for each client, however this is a lot of manual work as the number of client increases...Any suggestion would be much appreciated!  

EDIT: The issue has now fixed itself. The popup looks back to normal now. In the Interface Designer, when clicking "Share" on a Page, there is no longer an option to share the page publicly. As such, there is also no longer an option to UNSHARE a page that was already made public.What happened here?
