Hi folks,I've got employees that submit their timecard for every Friday of the year, so roughly 52 records for each employee all with the same date interval between them (1/3/25, 1/10/25, etc.). Many employees forget to submit a timecard for several weeks out of the year, so I would like to create a view/interface where each employee can see the weeks for which they forgot. I imagine it would be something where AT would compare the weeks/dates they should have inputted versus what they actually did input, but only displaying the difference between them, i.e. the missing dates. Is this doable in AT?Many thanks in advance.
This is a question that has been asked a few years ago but not sure if this has been revisited recently.I am using Airtable interfaces. I am on top level plan and prepared to pay to remove the Airtable branding. There is a simple reason why.Our portal goes out to our key stakeholders and partners. As soon as they see the Airtable logo they start to try and work out how we build the platform, then instead of seeing the great outcomes that we are delivering, they start to try and build their own or they deconstruct the environment. It is very disheartening when you have spent a month making a great interface, and the first and last thing the partner mentions is "Oh thats Airtable, can you show me how you did that I need to do that for that thing that I was going to get you to do for me . . . . . so I will now go try to make it myself, I mean, it's just Airtable"The solution shouldnt be to go use Softr/Noloco etc and money for a front end tool, just to remove a logo. Anyon
Hi all - I've got a couple different interfaces (one kanban, one list) where I want the info to be visible only to the assignee and their manager. I know how to make it only visible to the assignee (filter by Assignee is Current User) but where I'm getting stuck is allowing the manager to see all tasks regardless of who they're assigned to.For example - Jordyn is the boss of Michael & Isaac. I want Michael and Isaac to each only see tasks assigned to themselves, but I want Jordyn to see all tasks assigned to either Michael or Isaac. This feels like it should be simple but I can't figure it out. Again, I'm having this issue on multiple different interface elements across different bases. Thanks!Kelsey
Hello AirTable Community!Hoping someone can help me with a solution here. I have a conditional form that depending on the department you choose, you get different prompts - most of this works great. Here's the problem:I have a Lookup field that provides instructions by the department that I would like to appear once someone selects the specific department. i.e.: Person selects Finance request time - they get a block of text that talks about what finance needs and SLAs.I have tried doing this via a Lookup Field (apparently, you cannot use those in forms), and then I tried a really long formula, but I cannot use formulas in forms either.Looking for a native solution, not a 3rd party plug in because we would not be able to clear that with our IT team.
I have a basic CRM with 2 tables: 1) "Contacts" (persons) and 2) "Firms". Each Firm can be associated with one or multiple Contacts (linked records). In the Firms table, I have a "Firm Type" column that is multi-select from a predefined list of values. This predefined list can never be exhaustive enough to capture all types of firms. In the table view, luckily I am able to type new values and Airtable saves it as a predefined value for later use.I am creating a "Record view" interface for Firms. I want to allow users to create new firms on the interface. When I allow users to do so, airtable's standard form loads up. Unlike the interface, the form is not allowing users to "add new options" to the "Firm Type". However, if users wanted to edit an existing record in the interface, I see an option to "allow users to add new options". How I can access this option in the form?
Hi, I have a field that references the customer table. When I work in grid mode, it gives me the opportunity to add a new record in this field, however if I create a form and enter this field does not give me the option to add records. How can I enable this option to add records in a link to another record field in a form? Many thanks for your help
I've got a weird issue I can't find a solution for: using a list view for linked records in interface designer. I have a record list to choose from Table A, with a linked record to table B. I can display that linked record field to show a list of items from Table B, that works great! But if I try to use that list view as a two level view to group those items, it gives me the error:"Unable to use non-table source in this context" and shows nothing. I think this is saying that the interface essentially doesn't have the data I'm trying to use, but I have no way to resolve it sadly, and changing which levels are used doesn't make any difference
Hello,I've created an app to record deliveries when they arrive at construction sites. The app is designed to handle multiple projects, and the person in charge can use the search bar to find the relevant delivery. The app is based on a two-level hierarchy:Delivery information (visible in the main list).Detailed product list (accessible when clicking on a specific delivery). The project name is always included in the delivery title, and users typically search for deliveries using this title. The search functionality works perfectly on all devices except Android. If anyone can help resolve this bug, I would greatly appreciate it.Thank you!
Have a nice day,I would like to ask for advice - I have created an interface in which I have created buttons - in the web version everything works correctly. But when I display it in the mobile app, the buttons do not appear there. In addition, the search button is displayed there, although again I don't have it enabled in the web version. Can anyone advise? Or is this an airtable bug? Thanks a lot!
I wonder if anyone's done anything similar? We get customer feedback on designs and it's usually in the form of a spreadsheet emailed over, with feedback points per row so I'm creating a customer facing form for them to fill in so it's captured in Airtable as a task. Our 'Task' structure is a Tasks table, and a separate one for 'Subtasks' that are linked records. Does anyone know if there'd be an easy way to allow the customer to create subtasks from the Feedback form before submitting? Currently if I pull in the Subtask field to the form, it allows them to select from the existing list of subtasks, but not create a new one. Obviously the constraint is the 'Task' isn't yet created.Any ideas? 😅Ross
Hi everyone,I love the Airtable interfaces and am interested in using the new dashboard interface layout (as opposed to using the legacy charts on a blank layout, which is what I currently do). However, one very critical element of the dashboard interface layout is missing: I am not able to locate any way for a user to filter the data by a custom date range. Sure, I can use pre-set filters for general date ranges (this year, this month, any other range I choose as the person building the dashboard) but the purpose of seeing our data on a dashboard is to be able to answer questions like "what does the data look like between January 1st and January 4th?" The user needs to be able to filter the data based on the date ranges that are important to them. They should not have to ask the team member in charge of the interface builder to add a tab filter for every single range they want to review and compare all year.Any ideas on how to move forward with this? The dashboard and charts are u
Hey there, I have a problem with the interface form an airtable app i created. When i want to open the 'socials' interface, it doesn't work and it gives an error. I have tried numerous things, but nothing works. I also tried to get help from the airtable support, but they couldn't help me as well. Is there somebody that has experienced the same problem? Thanks in advance
I've build out an Airtable database that's working well but I'm getting stuck on what to use as a frontend. It's an internal lease management tool that needs to have a client login. We need the ability to have user permissions, an easy to read dashboard that looks nice, the ability to update records and export data.It also ideally should be a tool that does not have a steep learning curve.I started using Softr but then saw that the dashboard elements are only available on the professional plan ($139 a month) which is more than we want to pay right now. I tried Noloco which was great but the dashboard elements didn't present the information the way we needed it and the aesthetics weren't what we wanted.I would be so grateful for any ideas on what is the way to go.Thanks!
I have some items pulling into an interface. I have 3 three fields. Priority , User, and a description. Is there a way to increase size of the user field to show full name versus truncating? I have hidden name but you can see that top one truncated and if there are two leads you only see the first one unless to expand to see all details?
Hi everyone,We're building a decision-making tool. This tool has tables for Topics, Participants, and Positions – each participant takes a position ('Go', 'No-go', or 'I don't know') on a topic. Each position type is matched with a numerical value: 1 for 'Go', -1 for 'No-go', 0 for 'I don't know'.In the pivot table below, we'd like to display the participant's position in each cell instead of his/her position's numerical value. Do you guys have an idea of how to get this done? Thanks!
Hi everyone,Please help me, i deleted by mistake an interface, where can i retrieve it?? why can't i see it in the trash ?A million thanks
HiI'm really, really trying to love interface forms and the design is much improved but is it really the case that you cannot prefill linked record in the form? I've tried with Recordid and with the name and it doesn't work. Other fields are fine (that I have tried) but not linked records. I believe its also the case that users need access to the base to submit if its being used as an internal form. Can anyone confirm these, are there work arounds. I'm having to abandon them for now and build with old forms 😞 Cheers Jason
Hey all! I'm running into an issue when building a form. I am trying to build a publicly accessible form through Interfaces that also includes population through record linking. For context, this is a form that clients can use to order supplies from an organization. My ideal workflow for this would be; the client selects their Record ID in a linking field, and once they do, an automation pre-fills the form with their usual order. They can then edit it if there's something they would like to add or remove. I've built the automation, and I've built the form - but now how do I get them to work together? Is this feature not possible? Looking for straightforward solutions before I go down a rabbithole! Thank you in advance for your time and help!
Hello, I have the need for a "staging" environment for interfaces. By that, I mean it would be valuable for me if I could "disconnect" the interface from the underlying data when needed. The idea is to avoid having users see intermediate states of the database while it is being updated. While the read-only interface is "disconnected", users can only see the data just before the disconnection and would see the new state once the interface owner re-engage the connection.
I have an order table which contains all of the records of an order. I want to get order confirmation from my customers for their order.I am creating their order by using another form in my order table. Then, I want to visulize these datas, put a button under it (which is confirmation button) then send the link to my customer to see order details, order summary and to get their confirmation via that button. Is that possible? Or how can i do it?
In our Interfaces, we rely a lot on our 'Record Detail' layouts, as this is where we display everything about a project, as I'm sure most users do.We have our data in groups, but it would be great (and seems fairly universal) if there was a clean way to be able to collapse and expand these Groups like an accordion in order to clean up the overall layout, especially when we are displaying lists of tasks, project milesotnes, etc. on one page.Thoughts / Workarounds?Note: We do have conditional groups depending on project types, things hide and show, but I mean a physical way to click to collapse groups into stacks or similar.Cheers!
In attempting to learn how to use this new Beta feature, I’ve created a bunch of test interfaces that I’d now like to get rid of, but how? For the likes of me, I just cannot find where it’s possible to delete an interface. Thanks in advance to anyone who might help. If it’s not possible yet, then please consider this to be a bug or feature request instead.
Hi, I’m trying to share a developped interface with other users in my organization, they receive the link by email by they are invited to login. For information i’m in the Pro panel with only one user. Can someone help me please. Regard’s Amine
HI folks, trying to create a record review and dash board in interfaces. I am in editable mode. However I cannot add, change, move or colour elements. The '+' sign at the bottom left corner of the screen does not appear so I cannot even create new elements. I am an 'owner' of the base so I should be able design and edit interfaces. Any signposts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hello! On the grid view, users are normally able to add new options to a multiple select field. However, when I try to do this on a form, I can only select from existing options. Is there any way to get around this?
