Hello! I'm trying to figure out how to count the number of times that a linked record appears within a cell in a lookup field, but I'm completely stumped. My base contains information about hockey leagues and clubs. There are several tables, but the important ones for this problem are:Leagues: Each record represents a different hockey league.Clubs: Each record represents a different hockey club.Seasons: Each record represents an individual season played by each league. In the Leagues table, I have a lookup field that links to the Seasons table. This field (League Champions) contains a club name from every season, with some clubs appearing multiple times (e.g., the club Färjestad BK appears 9 times).I would like to be able to use this in an interface for each league, where I can use an element to create a table/list that shows how many times each club won that league (e.g., Färjestad BK were league champions 9 times, Växjö Lakers HC were league champions 4 times). Alternatively, I would e
I'd like to be able to create an ordering front-end for our farm. Ideally I'd like to be able to do this through airtable, so i can keep all our data well intergrated and streamlined. Here's my workflow:- Estimate quantities available for harvest on our harvest and delivery day (2 days ahead) - share that with our wholesale accounts. For some products, I communicate a range (i.e. "we definitely have 10kg of parsley, maybe up to 12kg"). Some accounts give a range of how much they'd want - e.g. "we would take a minimum of "10kg parsley, but if you do indeed have 12, we'll take all of it").- Receive orders. If there are conflicts in how much different accounts want, then I have to communicate asap with them. Generally its first-in-first-served, but there are 2 important accounts that have been supportive from the start, through mistakes etc, so I prioritise them.I'd like to be able to handle this with forms that I email to the accounts. My ideal workflow would look like:- Check the items a
I need to be able to quickly select products to send out as a pricelist each week. Since all my data is in airtable, I'd like to be able to do this from Airtable, however I am unable to find a tidy way to do this with airtable.. The issues I have doing this directly from printing in airtable or interface designer:- It's quite ugly looking- I don't see a way to include branding or other info- Very limited formatting options- Airtable STILL has no wrap function (so products with longer descriptions are problematic).Page designer nearly does what I need it to (automatically feeding record info into a template) - except that it only lets you do one record a page! The only semi viable options I have is downloading a view as a CSV, opening that in sheets to format it nicely. This level of repetitive action seems unnecessary on a week-by-week basis... Ideally I'd like a Page Designer extension that lets you format a table/grid..Does anyone have any suggestions of an easier
Is it possible to see revision history for changes to a View? I have a base that's shared with many people, and there's one collaborative view which is being changed with filters and sorts. I don't want to lock this view down, because some people do need to make updates. So I'm trying to track down who is tampering with the view setup. Is that possible to see?
Hi, I have problem that synced table missing data. I have one Master base and second base where is synced data from Master base. Today I found that one specific record missing value from Master base (not sure right now If I have more records that are missing data, because I have almost 4k records and 20+tables in Airtable Master base and many many linked to another records fields 🙄I already created a bug ticket to support but no answer so far (time difference etc)Is anyone having the same issue with linked to another record field? I found that in January some users had the same problem. It is must be feature for our company because the data should end up on Wordpress eventually (like prices etc)picture in attachment
I did some digging around on the boards and it would seem having a "button" for merely copying text into the clipboard is pretty tough. I would however love to see this implemented in the functionality for the button field added under actions. See attached image to see where I mean. My specific use case is that I built a calculator for Day Trading, and I wrote a formula that generates my trades that I can just copy/paste into my trading platform. It would be really nice to be able to get my trades on my clipboard in a single click vs having to click-drag a part of the page on my interface, copy, and then paste. Basically for the action all you'd have to do is specify a field, and when the button is clicked its contents are copied onto the clipboard. Thanks!
Having a problem with printing from Page Designer from the Airtable app. We're using the workaround for >1 page documents, where we just make the page height 2x the height of our paper size and when we print, it splits into two pages. Except, when we use the Airtable desktop app (Mac or Win) the text somehow overlaps on itself (screenshot attached). This doesn't happen when using Chrome, but we use this constantly, so keeping an extra Chrome window is not ideal... And it just doesn't work as well with some other things we do, either.Anyone else run into this, and/or have a thought for a fix?
I have a table in a base, but I want to move this table to a different base. However, I am using it as a linked table in other tables' fields. Is it possible to move this table to another base and keep the linked record information on the other tables? Or it will break the links? Thanks in advance.
Hello, a colleague of mine has the option to “allow viewers to edit view” under the “share” button without adding them as a collaborator. My “share” button does not have that option. Thanks!
Hello again, a new puzzle for me.I have a summary report table that uses a view of records filtered by a particular month from another table for data. The summary table uses a linked field and I want to be able to select all the records in the linked view for the summary. Right now I have to individually select each record. This isn't bad if you have, say, 1 - 10 records. But sometimes I have over 100. That's a lot of clicking. Is there a way to select all the records available in the list that pops up to select from? Thanks, Scott
Hi my org does school lessons, we have lessons, teachers (who host the lesson), and our educators (who deliver the lesson). These are spread across 3 tables, with lessons having links to an educator and one or more teachers. I want to calculate the number of unique teachers an educator has reached. So I created a rollup field on the educator that uses COUNTA(ARRAYUNIQUE(values)) on the lesson's teachers. This works great if each lesson only has one teacher. But some lessons have multiple teachers, I tried a workaround using a lookup field and then a formula using ARRAYUNIQUE but that didn't work, as apparently the array formulas are just for rollup operations. Is there a workaround? Here's an airtable base demonstrating the problem: https://airtable.com/shrSGt3bifbnmwnLp
We are a medical practice and often use fax as a way to communicate securely to our referral network. Is there fax capability built in Airtable? If so, how do I do this? If not, is there a way to setup faxing via a third party application?
Hi folks,We've been linking records with a barcode scanner for several years and it abruptly stopped working as of last week. I haven't checked the scanner settings in a long time, but my recollection is that in essence the scanner reads out a string and does a carriage return to simulate hitting enter. We scan into linked fields, which have records matching the string names. If I copy a failed scan result out into a text file I can paste it back in and the same thing happens. If I open the "search" option in the link field and paste the result, it does pull up a matching link that I can select and then it works correctly. I suspect something changed about Airtable's behavior, as we had no problem with this before. Anybody have advice on how to address this? I will try to change the barcode scanner to not do the carriage return, as hopefully that will let us do the link match manually. That will certainly slow down our workflow though. Regards,Scott
Hi!I'd like to view at a glance the date a base last updated. It's impractical to create a "modified time" for every single field on every single table, since I don't know which field would last have been touched in a given base. Is there somewhere I can see that information?Use case? I'm new to the org and trying to clean up a bunch of data sources. I don't always know which team created the base and whether or not it is actively being used. Thanks!
New to Airtable, hoping someone can point me the right direction.I am building a database of Aus Music Chart history. I have an Excel sheet that has columns like Song, Artist, Year, Position, etc. As a test, I've copied and pasted some 3000 rows/records into an Airtable table. (Yes, overquota on the free plan for now.)What I want to do now is create another table for Genre that will automatically update the 'master' table (as describe above) based on an Artist's name. So, for instance, if I enter The Beatles > Pop in the Genre table, it will automatically assign the value 'Pop' into the master table wherever Artist = 'The Beatles'. Does that make sense? I've played around with relationship/linked Lookup fields, but the best result I've had is having to re-input the Artist name in a separate field -- i.e. it's not automatic. As I said at the start, there are already 3000-odd records as a test -- my master Excel sheet is well over 25,000, so entering each again manually is out of
Hi Communauty.I have a lot of trouble with Airtable's restrictions and business logic. I have a paid Teams space in which I build my clients' projects. Once finished, I want to transfer ownership of a database and its related automations to my client. 2 questions :1- Obviously, I cannot transfer ownership of a base. Should I transfer my entire workspace where I have my personal bases and those of other clients? ! Is it correct ?2- To transfer ownership of a workspace, I think I have to create an "Owner" user who will be billed to me? But if the new owner makes a paid subscription, what should I do to avoid paying on my end? Thanks for your help. Airtable's sales department must have really racked their brains. With such difficult to understand operation, I am seriously considering switching to Baserow which is more readable.
Hello Airtable family, I’ve previously explored how to sort the linked records, finding the best approach was a manual sort using the ‘Batch Update Block.’ The purpose was so that when using our Airtable-based ordering system, when we clicked a customer record in the customer table, it would show linked orders sorted with the most recent orders at the top. As I’m not the only one entering orders, it’s become a bit tedious and/or unreliable to use this method. I’m looking for a way to do it programmatically, either with an automation, scripting, or using even using Integromat. In theory, I’m thinking the best approach might be an automation script that only triggers when a customers ‘linked orders’ array changes, though not sure how to set that up with views, triggers, ect. I can likely figure out the script part from pseudo code. Any suggestions or ideas to try, I’m all ears! (Or, eyes…?) Kris
Hi! I’m working on two separate base for my organization: the first manages the order, and the second the tracking and payment process. With the sync tables I’m able to get the tables from the order in the second base for the planning and processing of the shipment and payments . But I’m encountering a problem: there are some lookup fields about quantities that I need to process as number on the second base. The synced table show them as text, so the lookup on the tracking table it is also showing them as text, but I can’t modify the format to a number. I’ve also already tried to add another field with a VALUE() formula, but it gives an #ERROR! and doesn’t evaluate the text into a number. Any idea how to proceed? Many thanks, Claudio
Can we generate a sharable link to a List View the same way we share Grid View? I don't see the "Share View" button on my list view.

I have two date fields that sync from an Outlook calendar. Because most events on that calendar are full-day events, they have an end time of 11:59 PM. This is what it looks like with "include time" selected:...and this is what it looks like toggled off.I reviewed this similar question, where it turned out to be a time zone issue, but that doesn't apply here as the time zone settings aren't accessible if you don't show the time. I'd prefer to hide the times for the sake of tidiness/reducing visual clutter. Is there a way to fix the rounding issue without creating a separate formula field?
Hi. I’m having trouble getting my Slack Bot to show properly within an Airtable automation. I’ve set up the custom emoji’s within slack, and created a custom field within my table to match the emoji code. When the automation is executed, it remains as the airtable logo. ^^ inside Slack ^^ Inside Airtable ^^ Inside Automation ^^ Slack Response
Hi there I have this formula below where I need to also round up by 5 or round down by 5 ( e.g. 4556, to 45560 or 2333 to 2335) ({Original Price AED} * (100 - Discount)) / 100 Could anyone please advise how I integrate the round formula within the above formula? Thanks, Nathalie
I have the same question from the individual with the post I am referencing that is closed but never answered. I would like to set up a gallery view where the user is directed to the link without having to open the card. Any ideas out there? Gallery view link directly from the card, without showing the popup (and requiring extra click on URL) Views Hello! New to Airtable, and wanting to explore using the gallery view as a front end for an application catalog of tools available at my company. The gallery view is almost perfect, but I would like to be able to link directly from the gallery card without forcing the user to click on the card, then click on the URL. Is there any way possible to remove the second detail pop-up and have the card directly link to a detail page on our intranet? Example gallery view: [gallery view] Redundant pop…
