Hello, I'm trying to create a "create record" automation when a new record is added to table A (Seeds); a new linked record is created in table B (Web Archiving_QA). The input data in table A (Seeds) to create the new record is a website URL.The automation is formatted: After successful testing, and turning the automation on. When I input a new URL to create a new record in Table A (seeds), I only get a blank new record in Table B (Web Archiving_QA) But if run the automation with the Test Step section > "Run as configured" I get the correct automation results, meaning the inputed URL in table A shows up as a new record in table B. from in the automation viewlinked URL from table A shows up in the record in table BI run into the same problem when I change the trigger to "When a record enters a view".Why am I only getting the desired results via "Run as Configured"? Thanks!   

Hi!I have a table with freelancers, I have another with expenses associated (payment info & dates that went to each freelancer). What I am trying to do is pull all expenses linked to each freelancer by month. So I have columns labeled with the months on my freelancer's base. I just can't figure out the roll-up formula to limit the column to only count expenses (weeks paid) per month/date range. Thank you!

i am using a step in an automation that i’m hoping will allow me to add a related record to a field that already has related records in it. the prior steps in the automation are picking out which record i want the script done to. i am brand new to scripting, so i’m guessing it’s something obvious. i got this from the documentation here: Airtable Scripting table.updateRecordAsync(record, { ‘Which trainings?’: [ …record.getCellValue(‘Which trainings?’), { id: newTraining }] }); when i test the step, it says the field “Which trainings?” can’t accept the provided value & when i ask it to show me what it got from the step above, it shows me an empty set. the newTraining value is the record id of the related record i want to add to the field. any help is appreciated!!

Hi allIs there a way to delete the certain matching characters that might appear in a column? For example I have a column of data (800+ cells) of company names, and 90% of them are prefixed with a 'number' (that run between 1 and 9), followed by a 'period', followed by a 'space'. For example "1. Some Company Name" or "8. Another Company Name".10% of the data in the column may not have any numbers or spaces, OR some of the company names may not have a 'space' after the 'period' for example "7.Yet Another Company Name" or "And Another Company Name".Amy advice would be greatly appreciated.Stephen 

Hello!  I am in desperate need of help. I can't figure out how to "filterByFormula" in the following script. I am trying to send a JSON payload via webhook to MAKE.com. I only want to send records where a given field is blank. I have a customer (athlete) table that is one row per customer. And a comms table, that logs when each customer posts something in our community (circle) via Zapier.Then, in the customer table I use a rollup to display the date of each customer's last post.The problem is I keep going around in circles trying to figure out how to link the 2 tables. Each customer has a unique athleteID  and circleID, so it should be circleID that is the link between the 2 tables (I think?). BUT when I add a row to the comms table, it looks like I need to know the athleteID too. Isn't the whole point that the circleID is the 1-to-many link between the 2 tables, and athleteID shouldn't need to feature in the comms table?Is it because I'm trying to link tables on a field that isn't the primary key? And if so what's the best way of achieving what I need to?Thanks!

I have a 'customer' table (one row per customer - name, email etc), and I have a 'contact' table that records the date of every instance of a customer contacting us (customer ID, date of contact etc). How would I pull in 'date of contact' into the customer table, but rather than all contact dates being pulled through, only the most recent?So - kind of like how you'd use  'distinct' in SQL, sorted by date Thanks!

Hi, I created a form for simple data entry and am including a “Created time” field so users will not have to manually fill in the date the form was submitted. The issue is, I also have legacy data from an old system that I want to import into the same table as the form submissions so the old data and any new data can be analyzed as a whole. This old data is organized by date and those dates are important to retain. When I add any old data into the table, the Created time field auto-fills to today’s date and I am unable to change it to the correct date. Are there any solutions for maintaining the Created time field, but also maintaining the correct dates for the old data? The only option I’ve thought of is converting the Created time field to a Date field, but that would mean anyone submitting new data via the form would have to manually enter the date. I have a series of fields I want to concatenate together. The final result needs to include a semi-colon in between each piece of data, but not all columns have data. I want to create a file upload interface on my custom app so that collaborators/users of the app can upload an image from their file system to the base (instead of using the airtable interface) Is this possible, and if not, can you suggest any workarounds? Thank you!

Hi All,. I am relatively new to Airtable and am hoping for guidance regarding an issue I have encountered. I have a table of riders which I use to record day to day notes and injury information. It is reviewed daily by our Doctor who then decides depending on the injury if the rider should take a break from competing or if they can be cleared immediately to continue . When the Doctor decides that the rider can be cleared I would like to have a button that she clicks which clears the relevant fields but also automatically creates a new record in another table to retain a copy of this information for reporting purposes at the end of the year. The relevant fields are 1) a linked record from another table showing venue incident took place 2) checkbox 3) a single select 4) long text 5) attachmentthanks

 Hello everyone,I have to create a calendar of course sessions and I have a table in which I enter in one column the date, in one column the start time and in another column the end time because different days might have different times.I use the formula DATETIME_PARSE(CONCATENATE(DATESTR(Date),' ',{Start Time})) to create a date & time that can be displayed on the calendar. However, the result of the formula returns the wrong time, increased by one hour.Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?Thanks for any assistance!

Hello! Is there a way to use the "When a form is submitted" automation trigger but send different emails based on different responses to the form? We have a single select option and we are looking to send different emails based on which option was chosen. I would just choose the "when a record matches conditions" option but we sometimes change the single select option and I dont want emails sent when that happens, just when the form is submitted. Im happy to use a workaround but dont know exactly what that might look like. Thank you!

Hello all!  You guys have been so helpful in the past, I've got a new question to share tonight!  I am working on a base to track finances.  We categorize all our expenses (and income) and then budget for those categories.  I need to assign a category to each transaction I import into the base.  Occassionally, we will have a single transaction that purchased items from multiple categories, for instance we bought clothes and groceries at Walmart.  Clothes and groceries are separate categories.How would you guys structure your base to make recording these transactions as smooth as possible?Thanks!

Hello everyoneI have a problem with the history of deleted attachments.I have 2 fields "Attachments" (images): Field A and Field BI have a Make scenario that generates the attachment of field B if the attachment of field A is filled in Airtable. The Field B attachment generated by Make is the same image as the Field A attachment to which the Make scenario adds a watermark and formats the name.>> No problemI have an Airtable automation that if the Field A attachment is deleted, then airtable deletes the Field B attachment.>> No problem eitherIf I delete the existing attachment in field A and put a new attachment in field A (a new image), then first Airtable deletes the attachment in field B (thanks to the Airtable automation) but then in field B instead of having the new image corresponding to the new attachment in field A (sent by Make), Airtable puts the old image in field B.In Make, I can see perfectly that the image sent to Airtable in Field B is the right one. Hello, I am having to add hours ("duration") to a field and outputting to a new field where a formula would be developed, however, I am not sure how to format the formula for the duration; here is my formula: IF(FIND("Algebra I", {Requires Additional Hours?}), {30:00},SUM({Total Hours Required}, {30:00})) "{30:00}" in both instances comes out red, meaning it is wrong, however, what I need to do is add 30 hours to the "{Total Hours Required}" field. Basically, if Algebra 1 is found in this drop-down menu "{Requires Additional Hours?}", it takes the value within "Total Hours Required" and is supposed to ad 30 hours and output it to this field. If Algebra 1 is not found, it stays at 30 hours, hinting at the first "{30:00}" in the IF() formula. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I am trying to link records with the same ID and I can’t figure out how to do it in buik - only one by one which is impractical for my purposes. Essentially, I have a table (“Forms”) that contains student usernames and the forms they submitted, and I’m using the username as the record ID, so multiple, identical record IDs exist for all the different forms a particular student submitted (i.e. Username1 - Form A, and Username 1 - Form B are listed in different rows). The ideal result I am picturing is that, in my main table, I could use a ‘link to another record’ field that links to the Forms table, I would paste the usernames in this field, and then I’d have a lookup field which would display all the forms that correspond to that username (i.e. for Username1’s linked record, the lookup field would display “Form A, Form B”). However, when I set this up, it’s only displaying the first form that exists in the Forms table, and it only works the way I want it to if I one by one add re
