Hi! I’m new to AirTable and I’m not very advanced with using functions, but I think I will need to use at least a few to do what I’m trying to do. I currently have a column of what are essentially tags for a given gene’s function, and I’d like to convert them to tags in Airtable by making them each options in a multiple-select field. Is there a way to easily use the semicolons in the text as separators/delimiters to automatically generate the selections and convert the entries as they are to multiple select smoothly? Hi everyone, I’m building my CRM and I have two tables, one is the “Account” and the other “Register”. The client fills the form that it’s linked to the “Register” table, the account manager, based on the information provided by the client approves or not the client turning the Checkbox to 1. I want to create a new row for that client in the table “Account” when the account manager change the checkbox to 1. Can you guys help me? Or maybe I am overcomplicating everything. Thank you all! Hello; I was testing out the maps block but it doesn’t seem show the map in the block on the dashboard, but instead says, “Please make this block bigger or full screen”. It works when fullscreened, but the screenshots / video example in the Map block article show it as being visible straight in the dashboard. Is there a way to automatically save(/see) who entered data into a base via the web clipper?

Hi! I’m trying to set up a CRM for some of our sales people and I’d like to auto-populate a ‘next step’ due date based on the selection they make for their ‘next step’. For example, if they select their next step as ‘Send follow-up email’, I want the due date to auto-populate for 2 weeks from when they entered the information. Or if they select their next step as ‘Place follow-up phone call’ I want the due date to instead auto-populate as 3 days from when they entered the information. Is this possible at all with a formula or would this require an external zap maybe in Zapier? Thanks in advance!

Hey there, I have created single drop down statuses for my projects I’m working on (In Progress, Not Started, Recently Completed, Roadblocked, and Archived). I’d like to create a formula that says "If the project status is anything other than Archived and Recently Completed, AND has a past Target Completion Date that’s before today, status is: PAST DUE. Otherwise, ON TRACK. Ideally the way I’d like this to show up is to have another column with PAST DUE and ON TRACK options in a single select drop down, and depending on what the formula says, the drop down option changes. Hello, I’m currently trying to take my primary field in a table and concatenate based on what applies. The table itself is pretty basic - using it for client information; i.e. First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, Spouse First Name, Spouse Last Name, and other basic information. We have some clients where we want the spouses other last name for whatever reasons. What I’m wanting to do is have the primary field concatenate certain information when 1 IF applies, OR concatenate different information if the OTHER IF applies. For Example: IF({Spouse Last Name}!=Blank(), Concatenate({Last Name}, ", ", {First Name}, " & ", {Spouse First Name})) -OR- IF({Spouse Last Name}, Concatenate({Last Name}, ", ", {First Name}, " & ", {Spouse Last Name}, ", ", {Spouse First Name}) My problem is combining those IF statements so that both would apply, so IF it meets criteria of 1, it applies that concatenated formula, or if it meets the criteria of the other 1, it applies that concatenated formula

I just tried following the Hello world tutorial from Airtable Blocks SDK, but I wasn’t able to go through all of it successfully. When I invoke the block run command, I get the following error: Error: ❌ error:140AB18F:SSL routines:SSL_CTX_use_certificate:ee key too small It is possible to lower the default security level, but that does not seem wise. Basically, in /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf, changing from: CipherString = DEFAULT@SECLEVEL=2 to: CipherString = DEFAULT@SECLEVEL=1 makes the command work. I am running Crostini (Linux (Debian Buster) within ChromeOS), with openssl version 1.1.1d-0+deb10u3 in case that matters. The full system default section in /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf looks like: [system_default_sect] MinProtocol = TLSv1.2 CipherString = DEFAULT@SECLEVEL=2 This with a default install of Crostini, without me editing any configuration manually. I am using block version 0.0.50 from the NPM package @airtable/blocks-cli. Any chance Airtable can increase the key size somehow?

New to Airtable of course, trying to understand how to structure a base to track my exercise class payments by student. In a spreadsheet, the data looks like this: I understand this will be at least two linked tables: a student table and a class table. The intended usage is that on any given date & time I will be giving one of two or more different classes, and after each class, I will want to enter payments from each student who attended, the amount each paid & payment method used. How is this structured? How many tables are actually necessary? How many Junction Tables? Would a form be necessary for entering the student payments after each class? This seems like such a simple use, but I can’t find any equivalent tables to use as an example to set up my own. Any help is appreciated, thank you. Nick

Hi community ! I have ann issue with a zap (by zapier) I use to send a mail to each new users (in a record). I would like to display in a view records that follow certain criteria. The fact is that a record can appear in this view, disappear few minutes later, and appear again. I would like to send an email each time this record appear in this view, but it doesn’t work, it seems like the record is save in zapier memory … Do u know if i have to wait a certain time till the record id is forget ? Hi everyone, I’m trying to use formular HOUR（）to display my Time as a number. But I keep getting wrong result. Normally, if the time is 18:30, the number from HOUR() should be 18, but I get 9.0. Could someone help me to have a look if my formular is wrong? Cheers

Is there a way to copy and paste a whole row or column? I would already have the column name and type set up -i just want to copy the information in the rows and columns. It doesn’t seem to let you copy and paste more than one cell. I’ve tried dragging to select and holding control while selecting but that doesn’t seem to work.

greeting - airtable noob here with my first post :slightly_smiling_face: i need to take a text string from a field called NAME - make it lower case - and then do search and replace for a number of characters . I have it working for one condition - replacing spaces with dashes. SUBSTITUTE(LOWER(NAME), " ", “-”) now i need to find special characters like ( ) " etc and eliminate from the string. is there a way to nest multiple commands…? or…? thanks!

I know that Airtable has recently changed a few things and as someone who struggles to remember the technicalities of all of this, I just want to make sure that I am not doing any more work than I need to. Or maybe the update has made it simpler as it has for other things! What I want to do is populate fields from another table into a single cell, one on each line. This has multiple purposes, though right now I am trying to display to-do ID’s one at a time so my brain can actually grasp it, and then make a makeshift-dashboard displaying multiple categories in one place. Another purpose this has is when I do documentation I want to list goals we addressed and have it listed on a different line to, again, make it easy to read. I currently have a link to the table, an “array join” rollup, and then a formula to substitute the commas for new lines. Hi everyone, I have a base where I have a list of invoices which have a date an an amount. I need to know the average earnings for each working day of the month the invoice is billed. To do so, I wanted to calculate the number of working days for each month of the invoices. I saw that there’s the WORKINGDAY DIFF formula, but to make it works I’ll need the first and last day of each invoice, as the screenshot below: Here, for example, I entered manually the 1st and last, but is there a way to automate this? With my manually entered 1st and last date of the month, I calculated the working days for the month. Then, I created a formula which calculate the average amount billed each day from the amount of the bill (Formula is: Amount of the bill divided by the # of working days in the month). Finally, I sum all the bills of the month to know the average amount billed by day for the whole month. I created a time tracker block to track time and wish to create a billable time calculated field that will calculate the duration and set to 30 minutes if the duration is less 30 minutes. something like: IF( duration is less than 30 minutes, set "Billable Time Value to 30 minutes, Otherwise set to Current Duration).
