I don’t understand why this was flagged. Hi Airtable! I have a scenario that places data into GS, using a public API and basic trigger with a collection of arrays for tv shows data. I also wanted to use Airtable in the scenario, too. When I run the scenario I get these errors in the GS modules: 400: INVALID_ARGUMENT - Requested writing within range [‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’!A2], but tried writing to column [B] RuntimeError 400: INVALID_ARGUMENT - Unable to parse range: ‘Big Hero 6: The Series’!A1 This is the scenario set-up: What does this mean? Hi everyone, I’ve got a table that I’m having trouble with. In the “Act” column, I have a single-select with Act 1, Act 2, Act 3, and Act 4 as options. When one of those Acts is selected, I want the next column (“Act Dynamics”) to return a string of text. I’ve gone through similar questions from other users and have tried a few different possibilities, but each time, Airtable says my formula is invalid. Can anyone see what the issue is? I need to make a workspace where there will be a few different bases and with a bunch of different users not all having access to all bases. Some people will need access to the whole workspace, but then there is some that only will need access to 2 out of 3 bases within the workspace. What I can’t figure out is how Airtable calculates usage if the same person will be invited to 2 bases will that count as 2 x user or will it calculate as one user as it’s the same user within the one workspace?

Hi there, I am using the following formula to calculate total donations received within a period of time: IF( AND( YEAR({Received Date}) = YEAR(TODAY()) ), {Amount} ) However, I would like to modify this, so that instead of “TODAY()” - which gives the current year (2020) , I can set a time period like March 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021 (which matches our financial year). How do I do this in existing formula?

Hi, I am getting my table data from Jotforms with an integration. This is working well. I want to then customise my table further and add lots of extra fields in Airtable for workflow, but I kind of want to keep the original import data structure intact and simple. My solution to this is to create a second table which has all the data from the import table linked plus all my extra goodies. I am aware that I can achieve this by creating a new table and manually linking all the fields from the import table, but I wondered if there was a simple solution to creating a complete linked table duplicate in one click? Am I just being lazy? I could have probably done it manually in the time it took to write this but I hate doing stuff the hard way if there is something I am missing. Thanks Pete

I’ve been trying to make new linked records from a list of data using the method described here: By having a long list or records and copying them into a linked field. I’ve done this a few months back where it worked perfectly, however now it does not work at all. If I open the linking field and click ‘Create new record’ I can make one at a time, but not too sustainable with a-lot of records. I’ve also tried to use both desktop and browser version but still the same. Is there some setting that does not allow me to create records from a linked field?

Hello everyone, my first post here, looking for some help. I am trying to Send an email every time a new record show in my View. The problem I am facing is the fields that are “Linked to” are showing up encoded, I want it to show the actual result in the email. For exemple: Name: John Webb is showing up as Name: ecLSgtZ3ZsfIejGD Print screen added. Hope you can help me find a solution for this. Thank you in advance.

How can I achieve the FLOOR.MATH function that exists in Excel into Airtable? FLOOR and ROUNDDOWN are not taking the precision as I expect. I would like floor with a 0.25 precision: FLOOR.MATH(11.78, 0.25) is returning 11.75 whereas in Airtable: FLOOR (11.78, 0.25) is returning 11.80 ROUNDDOWN(11.78, 0.25) is returning 11.25

I need to invoice/quote customers with layouts that include both text and images. I’m trying to increase the image size of a record but can’t seem to do so. Is there a workaround?

I’d like to embed a view of a specific record on another web site. I’d like to specify the record id / view id on the URL so I don’t have to create a custom view for each record, which is a waste of time. Ideally, I’d like to just embed in an < iframe > the expanded view of a specific record in a view. Alternatively, if I could pass in the record ID into an embedded view that would work as well. I’m hoping someone can assist me with creating a formula. The formula should look at the field Article Title. We have thousands of articles. If any article contains a particular phrase, the field should return a specified URL. For example, we may have 10 articles with the word Movies in the title. For those ten articles, the formula should output https://www.imdb.com. More specifically, the article with the title Top 10 Movies of All Time would result in https://www.imdb.com in the field. I’m using the Displaying quarters in fiscal year formula in one of my tables, however, for some reason, Q4 months are showing up as Q1 in my table. The formula I’m using is below. Can someone please share what formula I would use to update the day for holidays that change each year? For example, MLK Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, etc. all change each year. I’m using a social media calendar template and the current formula is not auto-updating the holiday dates for 2020.

On View 1 I’d like a field to be utilized by all. then as the workflow progresses and moves to view 2 this field is locked to prevent the user from making changes to the filed and so on.

I manage online content for multiple companies. I need a way to get feedback on content revisions from my client, but don’t want them to see any tables or data that is not specific to their company. For example: Company A has 12 items. I have a view in a table that is specific to this company’s items. I have edited two fields: 1. Title and 2. Description I need to give them visibility to these fields, in addition to about 6 others that are reference only and static, but I also want to give them the ability to give feedback in a “Client Comments” field. A shareable URL does not allow them to add “Client Comments”. I think I could do it in a form, but am not sure how to filter it such that the form is ONLY Client A and the items/fields/values that are displayed (Title and Description) are ONLY for Client A.

I share different data with outside organizations. Should I setup a Base for each organization? If so, how would I track activity globally among all of the organizations in the same workspace?

Hi, when I call for a view, is there a way to only give back how the view really looks like, with all the hidden fields not in the response? Otherwise the view= Tag makes no sense imho. Best

How can I capture selected text using CSS selectors. The use case is that I want to capture some interesting lines/quotes from articles that I am reading. I tried using the ::selection however it does not seem to work. I am selecting the text manually myself so, it’s not that difficult to make a copy and do a paste after opening the extension. But having the selection populate automatically would be cool.

I am using this formula to calculate the number of delayed or advanced days for a step in a project development: IF(AND({01 Limite}, {01 Entrega}), WORKDAY_DIFF({01 Limite}, {01 Entrega}, ‘2020-05-01, 2020-06-11, 2020-09-07’), 0) But for some reason it is miss counting. For example: right now 01 LIMITE is 11/05/2020 and 01 ENTREGA is 11/05/2020, and the answer is ‘1’. Should be 0, right? Thanks in advance!
