\I have created a base on the free version of Airtable that I want to share for free with others; But I do not want them to be able to make changes on my original base. Basically I want them to be able to make a copy of it for themselves. What is the best way to do this …that I could then easily share on social media for people to try out.

Hi, I am using Google Keep for my to do list. But I want to migrate to Airtable, because for each to-do I want to have additional columns. My question is - can I automatically move the item down on the list by using a checkbox on another column? I don’t want to sort it by the last checkbox column because this way somehow all the content gets rearranged. thanks! see screenshot: airtable|690x174 .

I’m converting a table that has multiple text field columns into one multiple-select column. The old form had text input fields so the most of the data is like this: and now that form has condensed those fields into one multiple-select field, like this: . I don’t want to keep the old text columns around, and want to collate those fields into the single existing multiple-select column. I think the way to do this is in a step-wise fashion: create a lookup table that converts the text into the new multiple-select labels use a rollup field on the main table to concatenate or arrayjoin the data into one comma-delineated string, copy that data over into the existing multiple-select column delete the old columns and the reference table But I’m not sure what aggregate formula I can use to create the string. And I’m not sure how to reference the data within the rollup formula field: (I know this isn’t right…) Any help would be much appreciated! We’re about to add a lot more organizations t

Hi there! I have a Table called Projects and another called Updates (both are connected via Linked Records), both are in the same Base. I’d like to have a flag (a binary 0/1 or true/false so I can put them in a Count Block on a Dashboard) for all Projects (that have a Status of In Progress) if they don’t have an Update for them for the previous week. In the Updates Table I have the name of each record as the number of the week (calculated via a formula, with a little nuance for stragglers who might not update until Monday). Any idea how’d I’d go about doing this? Thanks in advance for your help! James

Can I please get some assistance with a conditional statement. I’ve looked at examples, but have not been able to crack this. Goal: First Name space Middle Initial space Last Name or First Name space Last Name Not all names have a middle initial therefore my current formula is creating a double space when no middle initial present. I know this will require some kind of conditional if statement. There may also be a more graceful way of handling the spaces between field values. I’d like to get an alert emoji if in a record: “activity” is “translation” and WC is empty or “activity” is “review, proofreading, upload” and “time task” is empty or “activity” is empty Do you know if this is possible to build in a formula field? I’ve read the help article, but when I want to add a new column and choose Long text, there is no option to toggle “RTF” anywhere. Is this something I need to do within the settings at a higher level?

Hello, Here’s my base: I’m using a Roll Up to see if the URL in “Leads” table includes the UTM in “Inputs” table. If it does, I want it to add the corresponding “Source” from the “Inputs” table as the “Referral Source” in the “Leads table” I thought I might be able to achieve this as adding this formula with the Roll Up: IF(SEARCH({UTM},{Input}){Source}) But it tells me that’s an invalid formula. Thanks for any help!

I have a file that I receive from my customer that I want to import then set up for my team to use. The issue is that the table comes in organization that does not work well in the airtable environment. Is there a way to pull in the data as truly just data then pull to different tables to build how I want and link fields. Thanks!

Hi there, I’m using tags in a table to create groups for records e.g. ‘homepage’ , ‘landingpage’ ‘checkout’ . In a one to many relationships. So, for instance, I have a table that has Observations | Tags record 1 | Homepage record 2 | Homepage record 3 | Landing page Then in another table I’m seeing Insight | Observations | tags Name | record1, record, 2 | Homepage, Homepage What I want is it to do Insight | Observations | tags Name | record1, record, 2 | Homepage When I do a lookup on the tags on a separate table. What I see is a record with the same tag repeated several times as it is linked to several other records. How can I make it only display an associated tag once rather than for every instance?

I’ve been having tons of fun learning how to handle DATETIME and IF() and SWITCH(), but I can’t figure this one out. I am measuring the difference in weeks between two calculated dates, and that bit is OK, but I want to replace all of the weeks in the past with an emoji. Picture added for the 1000 words I could otherwise use…! I’ve tried using an IF statement but can’t quite figure out which part of the existing statement is IF-able! Any pointers on that or should I be looking at another function for the formula? Cheers and thanks

How can link a column to a new table?

I can’t find the way to format properly to date a rollup field. The formatting tab return that it’s not a date field. I have that : 2020-10-05T00:00:00.000Z and I want just that : 2020-10-05 Yet, the field rolled up is a date and the aggragation formula is ARRAYUNIQUE(values) Thanks in advance

I’m trying to create a template for a source bibliography that would include punctuation in the formula. I have multiple fields that will eventually be combined. Hi all. Sure this is super simple and I’m no doubt being super simple myself in not getting the solution… I have a sheet where I am keeping track on recurring charges. I’m dealing with 3 specific columns in this sheet Col 1 [$ Charge] Col 2 [currency selection…eg AUD, USD, GBP etc) Col 3 [$AUD Charge] Ultimately for each line item I add, I want all charges to be converted to AUD (this would be COL3) and from there I can run further calculation based on this number. So I’m assuming the formulas for column 3 would be: If “Currency” is “AUD” then display the value already entered in “$ Charge”. And… If “Currency” is “USD” then multiply by “<FX rate that I’ll input>” then display the calculation as a “$ value” I’m just not sure how I would write those formulas in Airtable? Possible? Hello there! I was trying to create an filter that acts like this SQL: SELECT * FROM table t WHERE t.Status = “Pending” AND t.Name == “Robert” AND … (and so on…). How can I translate that to Airtable Filter By Formula in the API? I just want to return the records that match those conditions. Using airtable.js to do it.

I’m using the API to update an Airtable table on a daily basis. Everyday I’d get around 100 records to be updates or created on the table. What’s the best way to tell Airtable to either update the record if a specific field matches a record which already exists otherwise create a new one? Do I need to perform a search for each one of the records manually or is there a better way to do that? Thanks!

I have started using views more to fully customize how I view my tasks in Airtable. Is there a way to change the default view from the Main View to one of the other views I have created?

I’ve got a datetime field called Start time (UTC) I want to take the time component and reformat the minutes into a fraction. For example: Source Desired output 14:00 14 14:15 14.25 14:30 14.5 14:55 14.92 I have tried taking the minute component and conditionally dividing it by 60 to at least get started (before I sort out rounding etc), but I just get #ERROR. Here’s my formula: IF(DATETIME_FORMAT({Start time (UTC)},'m')=0,"",(DATETIME_FORMAT({Start time (UTC)},'m')/60))

I need a field to add 10% to the previous totals column and then another field that adds 20% to the previous, my experience in formulas is basic +,-,x & divide, and I cannot find the simple solution yet, please help
