I need to concatenate a bunch of values from different fields to create a string result like this: 1.5 hours @ $125 The formula I’m trying to use is HowMany & " " & What & " @ $" & Rate~ I’m able to get everything except the “125” part of that result. The “1.5” part is pulled from a data-entry number field called “HowMany”. It works okay. The “125” comes from a formula field called Rate~ that uses a formula like this: VALUE( someNumeral ) The Rate~ field displays the correct value and moreover is used successfully in a simple math calculation formula. I thought that the VALUE() function converted a text numeral into a number. But when I add the reference to that field (the one that contains “125”), the string concatenation fails. It doesn’t matter whether I use CONCATENATE() or ampersands. Any suggestions? I’m trying to figure out a formula to give me the following info in our age of Corona… I want to put a column on our main table that returns either a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’ based on data from 2 other tables. I’ve got the tables set up to give me a ‘1’ for a count so all I want is for the column on the main table to read data from those other two tables and give me a yes or no… possible?

I’m pulling a numeral out of a string, for example, extracting “27” from “WP27”. Is there a way to coerce that extracted numeral to a number value? I’ve discovered that Airtable throws an #ERROR if I use that extracted value in a math formula like MyExtractedNumber * ItemPrice. I presume that’s because it thinks the value in MyExtractedNumber is “27” and not simply 27, ie a text value and not a number. There’s a way in Airtable to create a date value from parts but I’ve searched for something like a NUMBER() function and can’t find it. Am I missing something? William

Here’s what I want to do (simplified for clarity). I have 5 blogs, and each one has 2 hyperlinks in it, that link out to the others. I want to be able to open one record, and see list of links to Outgoing Blogs, and then click on them, to see the record for those. The info I want to capture for each record in my ‘Blog’ base and are my columns from left to right are: Post URL (locked column), Post Title, Outgoing Links (set to link to another record in the same ‘Blog’ base, aka the Post URL column). The URLs in Outgoing Links are identical to the URLs in Post URL column, but the problem is, when I import my data from a CSV, with multiple Outgoing Links separated by commas, Airtable dosen’t map them to the existing Post URLs that contain all the other meta-data. Instead, it creates new records with just the Outgoing Link url. Does anyone know why this is happening? What am I doing wrong? And is what I want to do even possible in Airtable? What’s wrong with this formula? It references a single field named ‘Date’. That field usually will have a valid date in it, but in some cases the field might be left empty. In a separate formula field I’m trying to use this formula but it’s not working. IF ( Date = BLANK(), “Date Missing”, DATETIME_FORMAT(Date,‘YYYYMMDD’) ) What’s wrong with that? How else do I test to see if a field is empty? William

I have a column to which records can be added or deleted (Players). In another table I am trying to build a single select type field from which the user can select one option from the Players column. The options for this single select will need to be dynamic, read from the Players column at the time of selection. Is there a way to achieve this?

Use Case: I sell widgets and the quantity of widgets generates will generate (with a formula) the number of boxes that will be required to ship the order. I have a view filtered for orders ready to ship and export this information to a .csv and then import the orders into my shipping application, stamps.com. Upon import, each row corresponds to a shipping label. The challenge is that I have to duplicate the rows x number of times to match the required number boxes. Is there a way to way to automate this process? My hunch is that it can be done with a script. However, I have 0 experience working with scripts. I’m happy to learn if this is the case and someone wants to point me in the right direction. I also have Zapier at my disposal if this helps solve the problem. Hi everyone. I have 3 Columns. DUE DATE, PLANNING WEEKS & DEPARTURE DATE I want to use a formula that sets the DUE DATE by looking at the DEPARTURE DATE and subtracts the number of PLANNING WEEKS. In other words, I want to automatically set my DUE DATE of each task by the PLANNING WEEKS before we depart(DEPARTURE DATE). I hope this makes sense. Thank you so much. Hello - I thought this would be rather easy to do, but something doesn’t seem to be working functionally. Any ideas why? I’d like to get the position of the word “Education” within the Company Industry (Lookup) field, which is a lookup on a second table. Why does it only work if it’s an exact match? And how can I adjust so that it also shows “1” for the fields with “Education Tech/Software”? (NOTE: I found it works if I change "Company Industry (Lookup) to a single line text, but I need the lookup formula) FIND("Education",{Company Industry (Lookup)})

I’ve been trying to display a Currency US Dollars with the traditional 2 digit cents, e.g. $24.31 But Airtable is not honoring the formating that’s been specified for my Cost Bais field. WHY? Hi, my company uses Airtable to help project manage our operational processes. However, with safer in place enacted in California, we are unable to continue our operation for at least a month, and therefore we will not need the user accounts associated with our production managers until we can reopen. Since we are also looking for any ways we can cut costs right now, is it possible to suspend user accounts for a month and then re-enable them?

Airtable Newbie from Germany. On Android App right now. Set up my first base and tables. Customize fields: The first field I set up in each table can’t be reordered. It shows a lock sign (see screenshot). Even within new views it can’t be reordered. Why? Ought to be some kind of primary key field? Is there any way to reorder it? If not, I will always set these “first” fields up as auto-numbering fields. I did not find any information on this within help or community yet. Therefore your advice is appreciated. Thank you. Dear Airtablers, I fully accept that I might be working non-intuitively, and am looking for help and suggestions. I‘m attempting to keep my accounts under control and wish to flag up the 4 possible statuses I can conceive - either an invoice is „Paid on time“, „Paid late“, „Open“ (unpaid but not yet late) or the worst kind „Unpaid and late“. As a beginner I‘m having terrible trouble but not much fun finding out how to do it. Hello, I have a table that rolls up sums from two other tables and displays them in currency format. My hope and expectation is for these values to match, and if they do not, the record is flagged. I figured this would be a simple IF function that looks something like this: IF({Rollup 1}={Rollup 2},“ :white_check_mark: ”,“ :x: ”) The result is what is confusing me. I find that even if the two rolled up values match with an eye test, they might still be flagged as being unequal, I’ve tried changing the formatting and expanding out the number to see if it has to do with some hidden decimal but have had no luck. By all appearances, the numbers match exactly. I’m not sure if this has something to do with how the records in the linked tables are formatted either but figured that if the field being rolled up is in the same format, this shouldn’t matter either.
