I’m trying to create a template for a source bibliography that would include punctuation in the formula. I have multiple fields that will eventually be combined. Can someone tell me why I’m getting an X in Column 1, Row 3, when Column 3, Row 3 is blank? I would have expected that field to be blank. Here’s my records Here’s my formula Thank you, Stacey

Hi all. Sure this is super simple and I’m no doubt being super simple myself in not getting the solution… I have a sheet where I am keeping track on recurring charges. I’m dealing with 3 specific columns in this sheet Col 1 [$ Charge] Col 2 [currency selection…eg AUD, USD, GBP etc) Col 3 [$AUD Charge] Ultimately for each line item I add, I want all charges to be converted to AUD (this would be COL3) and from there I can run further calculation based on this number. So I’m assuming the formulas for column 3 would be: If “Currency” is “AUD” then display the value already entered in “$ Charge”. And… If “Currency” is “USD” then multiply by “<FX rate that I’ll input>” then display the calculation as a “$ value” I’m just not sure how I would write those formulas in Airtable? Possible? Hello there! I was trying to create an filter that acts like this SQL: SELECT * FROM table t WHERE t.Status = “Pending” AND t.Name == “Robert” AND … (and so on…). How can I translate that to Airtable Filter By Formula in the API? I just want to return the records that match those conditions. Using airtable.js to do it.

I’m using the API to update an Airtable table on a daily basis. Everyday I’d get around 100 records to be updates or created on the table. What’s the best way to tell Airtable to either update the record if a specific field matches a record which already exists otherwise create a new one? Do I need to perform a search for each one of the records manually or is there a better way to do that? Thanks!

I have started using views more to fully customize how I view my tasks in Airtable. Is there a way to change the default view from the Main View to one of the other views I have created?

I’ve got a datetime field called Start time (UTC) I want to take the time component and reformat the minutes into a fraction. For example: Source Desired output 14:00 14 14:15 14.25 14:30 14.5 14:55 14.92 I have tried taking the minute component and conditionally dividing it by 60 to at least get started (before I sort out rounding etc), but I just get #ERROR. I need a field to add 10% to the previous totals column and then another field that adds 20% to the previous, my experience in formulas is basic +,-,x & divide, and I cannot find the simple solution yet, please help

Is there a way to change the Field that is displayed in the Calendar View? I would prefer to select another Field/s, not the default ID Field only. Also, how can I change the order of the Fields in the Calendar View? Also, how do I select which Fields are hidden or not?

Hello, forgive my English, I’m Brazilian and I’m having difficulties with the use of the IF command. First, I have 5 different dates, which I will use as a review in the studies, and I needed to compare all these dates at once with the current day, so if date 1 is less than today, date 1 would return to me, if it were bigger i would return date 2, however, if date 2 was smaller, i would return date 3, and so on. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? !

Hello, I would like to embed a gallery view of images on my website but only want the viewer to see/have access to the thumbnails on the cards and not the original images. Presently, the viewer can click on the card and then click on the image (which is listed under “1 hidden field”). Is there a way to to remove the hidden field or modify the iframe to keep the viewer from clicking on/opening up the records all together? I would like to keep card filtering/sorting activated. How can I hide the personal information shown to others completing our form? All the personal fields are hidden from the grid view. As you can see when using the linked field in the form it has these details visible. We obviously do not want to share salary, personal phone numbers, etc to all using the form. Is there another way to have the person filling out the form only see the names, which we are trying to link? This is an example to our base - there is a daily growing field, currently at 600, to search through.

Hello, I’m new to Airtable and I seem not be able to understand how to play with it, that’s why I’m asking for some help. I built an app for scavenger hunt where the user needs to find some QR Codes around the area. Once found the QR code, they scan it with the app and get some points according to the difficulty. The app sends and stores immediately the points from a specific user as in one columns I have all users which scans the codes and the other with the points they collected. Something like: Admin - 30 Admin - 10 User1 - 30 User2 - 10 Admin - 30 User2 - 10 User2 - 10 User1 - 10 What I would like to know is: -How can I sum up the points done from each user so that I can have some kind of result list? My idea is to have something like: Admin 70 points User1 40 points User2 30 points Any help is really appreciated. :slightly_smiling_face:

My base is for keeping track of genealogy research projects. The Main Table is a list of projects that links to a People Table and a Timeline Table People Table: Has columns for First, Last and Middle name. Has a column that concatenates to list the Full Name and the Primary record field Timeline Table Each record is linked to a project from the Main table and a person. The same person can be linked to multiple timeline records Has a lookup column to display the Full Name field from the People Table Main Table Lookup pulls the Full Name from the Timeline Table and repeats it since a person can be linked to multiple records in the Time Line I want to create a new column in the Main Table that lists the Full Name only once. Something like this: List the first name in the list, if the second one is identical, then don’t list it, etc. through the list of names in the lookup column. I love Airtable, and was using it at work and home, basically co-mingling the two sets of data. Some are owned by me (work) and some by me (home). The work bases are shared with personal me. Unfortunately, I was laid off and now I’m wondering if, when the license needs to be renewed, the collaborators will be eliminated (since that base won’t get paid for). Hi everybody, I’m struggling to find the right code for my formula. I’m making a content calender in airtable. I made a text field “text input” and I made an attachement field “image”. My goal is to have a field that tells me the status of the content. What I’m looking for is a formula that kinda goes like this: IF {text input} is empty then: “ :bell: write text” IF {image} is empty then: “ :bell: upload image” IF {text input} and {image} are empty then: " :bell: :bell: write text, upload image" IF {text input} and {image} are not empty then: " :white_check_mark: Ready to go" Can anybody help me how to get the right formula? Also… (to make things interesting) I was wondering if there’s a way to add a “deadline” feature to the same formula. My question is: is it be possible to add something like this too: IF {text input} or {image} is empty, and {deadline} is within 2 days, then “ :rotating_light: HURRY” Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I would like to pull the value from a single select to use in a formula. For example, i have an opportunity that has a set value as well as a set of percentage of realization. I would like to multiply these two values to get a weighted value. See below for full example: Project X has a $100,000 opportunity value, with a 70% chance of winning. The weighted value would be $70,000 ($100,000 x 0.70).

Still learning about Airtable, so I may be missing a built-in solution, but in case I’m not here’s my problem I hope someone can help me with: I’m helping a small business that’s switched to making sewn masks (originally a sewing school), so I’ve built a base that tracks {Orders}, {Inventory}, {Customers}, and {Mask Styles}. A common question from customers is when their mask will be done and ready for pickup. It takes about 1 hour to make each mask and the work days are minimum 8 hours every day (even weekends). Based on the number of unfinished masks currently in the queue, I want the number of days and/or the date everything currently in the queue would be finished to be calculated & displayed automatically. The {Inventory} table is Kanban-like, so among others has a Single select field showing what {Stage} of completion the mask is at: ‘Planning’, ‘Fabric Chosen/Cut’, ‘Sewing’, and ‘Done!’. I just want to count masks that are not ‘Done!’ - let’s call it “totalWIP” - divide by 8
