Hi! Five users are working with thousands of records in a table, and sometimes records accidentally get deleted. Is there any way to prevent record deletion per user, but still allow editing on the records? (except the primary field name)?

I am wondering if I can take the column that’s titled “Client Lifetime Value” which is a numbers column… If the “Client Lifetime Value” is set at $37 I want it to print out “$37 Package Purchased” but if the value is $127 I want it to say “$127 Package Purchased”. I would like these to show up in a Single Select column at the end of it so that the options are colored and easily distinguished. We use the single select options to ensure that the filtering for the rest of the spreadsheet works correctly.

This seems like a dumb question, but I can’t seem to find a quick way so I hope some of you can help? I have a base with many hundreds of records on it. The first column is all data that I need to get rid of. I can’t delete the column as it is the mandatory one. So I need a quick way to just clear the data in column 1. All I seem to be able to do is select and drag down to select multiple cells in the column to then be able to delete the data and this is taking a very long time due to the number of records in the table! Is there a more efficient way to do this?

Hi, I’m a first-time Airtable user testing out the User Research template. Is it suggested to delete the sample data records and add your own records, or is there another place in Airtable where records get created?

Hello, I’m trying to do a formula that calculates commision due. I have the commission field, and I also have a ‘commision paid’ checkbox field. Basically I want the commission owing field to calculate the commission if the paid field isn’t ticked yes. Help please!

The records in one of our main tables are legal cases. Each case has the same set of tasks that need to be done to it. When we create a new case record, we want to automatically create the appropriate set of tasks in a task table and have them connected to the new case. Can we do this? If so, how? Thanks!

Hi guys. Trying to figure out the best way to overcome the limitations of the Page Designer and hoping a formula might be the answer. I’m collecting a lot of data in a table called “Rooms”. Each room record has linked products, materials, and concepts, and then I use a bunch of lookups to retrieve the information I’m hoping to display on my Page Designer. The problem is how the Lookup field combines my information. Here is my Product Name Lookup field for one room as an example: Aqua 2 Complete Shower Rail, Lapiana Towel Bar, Lapiana Towel Ring, Lapiana Robe Hook, Lapiana Paper Holder, Square Tubular Pull Handles for Back to Back Mounting, Square Trim for 1/2" Valve, Caso Single Hole Faucet It obviously collects the information in a list, but that’s not what I want. I would like to be able to hand arrange each name in my page design so that each text string can be under their respective images. For that, each name has to be in its own field. Is there a formula that would separate my

I have a simple question. I’m on the Free plan right now. I created 20+ bases in my workstation and sent my clients a link with editor status to the base I created for them so they can add info I need. Is this something I can do on a free account or what plan do I need to do this?

Is it possible to reference a specific Field in a Table from another Table in the same database not just the Name of the records but a specific field with in it. Such as currently only the first field shows up when you used a linked record. Is there a way to say pick a record and display a field from that record OTHER then the first field?

Hi All, I’ve got a client that wants to be able to view airtable data in wix. This has been easy enough when using a grid - eg customer comments for the last month. But,… what I’d like to do is have a chart eg “customer satisfaction by month” grid data is “date” and “rating” (values of 1, 2 or 3). The awful solution i can think of is manually export to csv, generate the chart, save as image, the save to webpage - but that is awful. Is there something I could do with API? That is way beyond my capabilities though (but I’d happily accept help or pay someone via a freelancer app) I’m not committed to wix so if there is another way I’m open to that. Hello, dear Airtable community. I want to generate a unique payment ID, based on the sum, date, cashier, and the type of transaction. Everything has been good by far, until I decided that I want to try using emojis. So, I assumed it should be a mix of CONCATENATE and IF, because I want the emoji to appear only in one field = meaning that IF it says ‘cash’ then show ‘ :money_with_wings: ’, IF it says ‘card’ then show ‘ :credit_card: ’

Can we have several sub-records for one primary field ? We make a quotation based on several quantity ranges. So all fields are the same and only the quantity and prices are different.

I’ve tinkered with a few ways of doing this, but wanted to get some ideas about the most efficient way. I have this full address string: Street address: 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW # 15 City: Washington State: DC ZIP Code: 20500-0003 I want to extract the State (in this case, DC). I’ve tried LEFT, RIGHT, MID, etc but nothing seems to zero in on it. Appreciate the help :slightly_smiling_face:

There are more fields being returned than in my View through the API. Any suggestions on what could be the issue? Regards, Ruchika

Hi everyone! I have done several searches and cannot find exactly what I am trying to do. I am relatively new to all of this and my ADHD brain struggles with all of the technical stuff at first, so I apologize if this is very obvious. I want to simply have a “total hours” field that takes the start and end date/time fields and puts it in hours rounded to the nearest quarter. 2/27/2020 8:00AM to 2/27/2020 9:45 would automatically compute to 1.75. Hi There! I have a series of tasks with deadlines. The field next to “Deadline” is a countdown titled "Days Left’ with the amount of days left until the task is due. However, I don’t yet have/need deadlines for some of the tasks, so the Deadline field is sometimes empty which results in NaN. The formula I used for “Days Left” is DATETIME_DIFF(Deadline, TODAY(), ‘days’) I’ve tried a few different IF formulas to remove NaN but I keep getting errors. Can anyone help me out here?

Hello, I’ve a Linked Table with many entries which are populated by this linking feature. I’d like to add a field that counts all linked entries belonging to that entry. All I could find was the build in Count feature, but it’s only applicable to 1 entry. I’ve been trying different formula combinations, sum, lookup, count, counta. no success yet… How to calculate this?

I’ve seen a couple of different places where other users encountered the same issue when trying to use a simple multiplication formula (it simply does not work gives #ERROR! I am using the asterisk. I’ve read every piece of information available and still am not finding any resolution. I’m going to be pretty pissed if after all the work I’ve done I have to abandon this because of this error in a very basic formula. I used ask a question already and no response yet. I kind of need to get it fixed or move on to something that actually works. I thought I had finally found a gem :frowning:

Hi, I’m using Filter By Formula to find records based on Last Modified Date; As per Codepen Airtable URL encoder I get the following syntax; (IS_AFTER(%7BLast+Modified+Date%7D%2C+%222%2F23%2F2020%22)+%3E%3D+0) While syntactically this works fine, the results I get are not correct. I get dates before the given date too. Any suggestions? Regards, Ruchika

I am asking for some advice. I am working on a problem that I have with my Base. That problem is that I am attempting to automate data updates to one table from 4 other tables on a weekly basis. The puzzle is that I am tracking events that occur on each of these 4 tables on a weekly timeline. These events are by employee, in the case that they incur a trackable event on that week. We are tracking these events on a week (or month) per the time stamp on each occurrence. Each event results in either a positive or a negative score. This score is then subtracted/added to/from a credit on a different table. I have run into two problems. First, I tried to roll up each occurrence on the Employee directory. Rolling up there created an accumulation of points, not tracking by week. I then did a look up on the table with that person’s weekly stats. That repeated all the scores from each week to every week thereafter, making that occurrence manipulate their score every week instead of just the week

Hi, I am looking for a way to input Timecode in a Field, (ie: 12:24:32:00) (HH:MM:SS:FRAMES) The Duration type comes close but no option for double digit hours, and regular numbers don’t seem to allow colons. Anyone have any ides. Scott
