Hi! I am new to Airtable. I am currently setting up an Airtable spreadsheet and one field (column) has a date. Is there any way possible to make the column next to it show what date it will be 2 weeks later? Regards, Sam

I’ve been trying to make new linked records from a list of data using the method described here: By having a long list or records and copying them into a linked field. I’ve done this a few months back where it worked perfectly, however now it does not work at all. If I open the linking field and click ‘Create new record’ I can make one at a time, but not too sustainable with a-lot of records. I’ve also tried to use both desktop and browser version but still the same. Is there some setting that does not allow me to create records from a linked field?

Hello everyone, my first post here, looking for some help. I am trying to Send an email every time a new record show in my View. The problem I am facing is the fields that are “Linked to” are showing up encoded, I want it to show the actual result in the email. For exemple: Name: John Webb is showing up as Name: ecLSgtZ3ZsfIejGD Print screen added. Hope you can help me find a solution for this. Thank you in advance.

How can I achieve the FLOOR.MATH function that exists in Excel into Airtable? FLOOR and ROUNDDOWN are not taking the precision as I expect. I would like floor with a 0.25 precision: FLOOR.MATH(11.78, 0.25) is returning 11.75 whereas in Airtable: FLOOR (11.78, 0.25) is returning 11.80 ROUNDDOWN(11.78, 0.25) is returning 11.25

I need to invoice/quote customers with layouts that include both text and images. I’m trying to increase the image size of a record but can’t seem to do so. Is there a workaround?

I’d like to embed a view of a specific record on another web site. I’d like to specify the record id / view id on the URL so I don’t have to create a custom view for each record, which is a waste of time. Ideally, I’d like to just embed in an < iframe > the expanded view of a specific record in a view. I’ve tried the following and it displays an unhappy face: < iframe src=“https://airtable.com/tblhtZEdSQOe7XDl1/recP1MM6ZUrqKfpJy” frameborder=“0” onmousewheel="" width=“50%” height=“533” style=“background: transparent; border: 1px solid #ccc;”>< /iframe> The user viewing this webpage will have login access to Airtable. Alternatively, if I could pass in the record ID into an embedded view that would work as well. I’m hoping someone can assist me with creating a formula. The formula should look at the field Article Title. We have thousands of articles. If any article contains a particular phrase, the field should return a specified URL. For example, we may have 10 articles with the word Movies in the title. For those ten articles, the formula should output https://www.imdb.com. More specifically, the article with the title Top 10 Movies of All Time would result in https://www.imdb.com in the field. I’m using the Displaying quarters in fiscal year formula in one of my tables, however, for some reason, Q4 months are showing up as Q1 in my table. The formula I’m using is below. Can someone please share what formula I would use to update the day for holidays that change each year? For example, MLK Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, etc. all change each year. I’m using a social media calendar template and the current formula is not auto-updating the holiday dates for 2020.

From what I’ve read about the field permissions this isn’t possible, but I hope someone has found a workaround for this? Without Forms, preferably! On View 1 I’d like a field to be utilized by all. then as the workflow progresses and moves to view 2 this field is locked to prevent the user from making changes to the filed and so on.

I manage online content for multiple companies. I need a way to get feedback on content revisions from my client, but don’t want them to see any tables or data that is not specific to their company. For example: Company A has 12 items. I have a view in a table that is specific to this company’s items. I have edited two fields: 1. Title and 2. Description I need to give them visibility to these fields, in addition to about 6 others that are reference only and static, but I also want to give them the ability to give feedback in a “Client Comments” field. A shareable URL does not allow them to add “Client Comments”. I think I could do it in a form, but am not sure how to filter it such that the form is ONLY Client A and the items/fields/values that are displayed (Title and Description) are ONLY for Client A.

I share different data with outside organizations. Should I setup a Base for each organization? If so, how would I track activity globally among all of the organizations in the same workspace?

Hi, when I call for a view, is there a way to only give back how the view really looks like, with all the hidden fields not in the response? Otherwise the view= Tag makes no sense imho. Best

How can I capture selected text using CSS selectors. The use case is that I want to capture some interesting lines/quotes from articles that I am reading. I tried using the ::selection however it does not seem to work. I am selecting the text manually myself so, it’s not that difficult to make a copy and do a paste after opening the extension. But having the selection populate automatically would be cool.

I am using this formula to calculate the number of delayed or advanced days for a step in a project development: IF(AND({01 Limite}, {01 Entrega}), WORKDAY_DIFF({01 Limite}, {01 Entrega}, ‘2020-05-01, 2020-06-11, 2020-09-07’), 0) But for some reason it is miss counting. For example: right now 01 LIMITE is 11/05/2020 and 01 ENTREGA is 11/05/2020, and the answer is ‘1’. Should be 0, right? Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to label unread items in Calendar view? Our planner is populated by a form and it’d be great to have a way to star or colour new items submitted by others outside of our team that haven’t yet been expanded. Hey there, Wondering if you all can help me with a Timezone issue I’m having that’s driving me nuts! I think it’s to do with GMT/BST but I would like any help in solving this because I can’t get it right. We have an event table that keeps track of our client’s events around the globe. Each event takes place in a different time zone. But Airtable doesn’t allow us to attach a time zone to a date/time field. We need to view this time in 2 different ways: The “local time” of the event. This time should always remain the same in the system, since it is the “local time” of the event. The “translated time” to each user’s time zone when each user logs into the system, so they know what time the event takes place in their own time zone. How can we successfully use Airtable to accomplish this? Is this even possible in Airtable?

I love the idea behind editing field permissions but I think I’m missing the concept. I hope someone can answer a few questions or give me an example of how they are using this new feature. Thanks in advance. Is there a way to allow someone to fill in the “blocked” field? Preferably without using forms. I see potential in the field restriction for an issue we currently have. When a team member inputs project details to send to a 3rd party vendor to price - they are going back and editing these details AFTER they submit the form to the vendor. This is a huge no, as it could cause problems later since the quote will not match the original details. The only way I can think to avoid this and use the field editing restrictions is by using a form to write up the initial project details then prevent a change on the actual table. Ideas or suggestions? If a field is restricted what keeps a blocked user from deleting the record? Am I missing something here? I would love to see how others are

Hi all, Trying to wrap my head around this one. In my table I have 4 overarching categories: say A, B, C, D. Underneath each of those I have a variety of sub categories, around 5-10. Those two categories are single select fields. And each of those sub categories has a number of items attached to them, which are just longform text. What I’m trying to achieve is a numbering system that looks like this: 1.2.5 which translates to Category 1, subcategory 2, item 5 Is it possible to set something like this up? I’ve been playing around with formulas but have gotten stuck.
