Hi there, I want to keep my block UI consistent with Airtable’s branding where possible. I noticed ColorUtils.getHexForColor here and that seems like a reasonable, but slightly cumbersome solution. Is this the preferred way to use Airtable’s colors in our blocks, or is there a more direct way to say, set the background color to a standard Airtable color? Thanks! P.S it was a bit hard to find that method in the docs as you need to click on the “ColorUtils” tab in the Colors section first. I had expected a more direct way or a pointer on how to get the hex values directly on the colors main page :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi all, I have two spreadsheets - one is a project tracker, and the other is a task list linked to the project tracker. I have start and end dates on the task list spreadsheet. Is it possible to link those dates to the project tracker and have the project tracker “start date” be the earliest start date of the tasks linked to it and the “end date” be the latest end date of the tasks linked to it? I want to create a Gantt chart from the project tracker but I want the start and end dates to be dependent on the dates of the tasks linked to it. Thank you!!

Hi there. I want to create a base to track my receipts for warranty purposes. I can just insert the purchase date in a column and track it myself, but what I would like to do is when the entry is one year old change its status in a dropdown column from “current” to “expired”. Thanks

No expert here / But I have been using the Send Grid block fro over a year. - I was able to figure out how to generate new API key- paste it-- Now it is not working. I have pasted in a number of new keys this morning. Is there some new verification that is needed.

Now that it is possible to specify permissions per table and field, it is desirable for an administrator to be able to generate an overview in a matrix. Is this possible?

Hello airtable community. Does anyone know a way to autofill part of a cell on a form ie when they only need to enter their instagram profile name on a form it updates my table with instagram.com/profilename? So pulling the instagram URL before it but automatically.

I have found that formulas entered on iPad don’t work correctly; especially if there’s a literal in them. I can go to my Mac and enter exactly the same thing and it works. Any solutions?

Typeform offers an Airtable integration, and I’ve managed to map my fields, except I need to capture the timestamp of the date/time that the Typeform was submitted. Typeform does capture this data and calls it “Submit Date (UTC)”. I wish to map the data of that field to a field/column in my Airtable. Have anyone figured this out? Is it not possible?

Please explain the Revision and Snapshot History to me. Does this mean that in the free version, any changes that I make to my records will be lost after 2 weeks? I am using this (or hope to) to track gardening, i.e. name of plant, location, when planted, attaching picture and tag info, etc. just something simple. I’m just concerned that if I update the info with new date and such that they will disappear after 2 weeks. Is this the case?

Hi everyone! I am almost done, I just need your help with the last part! I have a Zap that creates an email draft that sends an invoice when in a certain view. I initiate the process by checking an airtable checkmark, which then applied the invoice to the needed view. Sweet! AND it’s making the draft email just like I want! Heck yeah!!! Now, what I want it to do is delay for one minute (no problem) and then update the record that just triggered it by checking a checkbox. Is there a way to easily do this by referencing the record that triggered the whole thing? (This will then remove it from the view, per filter instructions) Thank you so much for any help!

I’m trying to use the Airtable JS library to pull a list of records filtered by a Linked Record field, and although I can verify the data from a certain record by pulling by ID, I cannot filterByFormula for this particular record using a Linked Record field where multiple records are linked. I’ve also just went straight to postman to ensure it wasn’t the JS library but in fact the API itself. I found an answer here on how to use filterByFormula with Linked Record fields, however the solution is not working although I’ve followed it to the T: https://community.airtable.com/t/filterbyformula-multiple-select/2075/8. It actually works with Linked Record fields that are 1:1 and not when 1:many. Hello all, This is my first post to the community. I’ve seen other posts similar to this topic, but they don’t quite address what I’m trying to achieve. I’m having an issue with a nested IF statement and not sure whether a combination SWITCH/IF would be best for this formula. I have two columns - column 1 (Date) and column 2 (Location) that is single select. I want a third column (Status) that returns a value based on what is populated in the first two. Logical Argument 1: If column 1 (Date) is not blank OR column 2 (Location) is ‘Outside Area’, the Status column should return “Yes”. Logical Argument 2: If column 1 (Date) is blank the Status column should return “No”. Any help would be greatly appreciated. @Jeremy_Oglesby

Greetings, Airtable Experts! Our small team is currently using both Todoist and Airtable to track our tasks :white_check_mark: . Ideally we would like to use Airtable exclusively (one stop shop!), but are finding it very hard to give up an incredibly useful Todoist Feature: the ability to email tasks to a project. You simply copy the link Todoist provides, paste in the TO section of an email, customize the subject line with due date/priority/tags, press send–and presto, there’s a new task in Todoist w/a link to the email. :thinking: Is it possible to accomplish something similar with Zapier/Airtable? I have a clunky work-around, namely saving a PDF of the email, then create the task in Airtable and upload the PDF. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Hello, I have a database that is updated live (through an integration), but some records can go directly to archive (via a filter). I am trying to build a formula that will identify as many archivable records as possible and mark them with :white_check_mark: . Such records would march either of the following criteria: marked (manually) as non-actionable in a multiple-select field type OR contain a certain word in a single line field (e.g., if a single-line cell contains ‘no-reply’ => archive) I already have a formula for the former, but I wonder if a formula that would combine both is possible to build.

Hi Airtable! I have a base that I created in which I will be adding Notes from Apple. There are duplicate records, but there is no key, except for a formula to create different record ID’s. This ID is unique for all records, including duplicates. My question is how do I create a unique key, when each of the fields are not unique in my base. Fields: DATE *these dates are not all different SUBJECT *some are the same NOTES *the titles are either too varied or the same TIME CREATED *some of the same records will have different times FORMULA *creates a different record ID, even if it’s a duplicate Perhaps the formula can be adjusted to create the same ID for all duplicates, based on another field? Still putting together a Base to track my Fitness Instructor business. I have tables for Client Names, Classes Offered, and an Income table that tracks which clients attended which classes and how much each paid for each class. I also have Assistant Instructors for each class. There is one Assistant in each class I teach, but it can be any of 3 different people. I track who the Assistant was for each class in the Classes Offered table. Assistants are paid a percentage of the total income from that class. Now, with these 3 tables, I’m at a loss to figure out whether or not Airtable is able to track how much each of the instructors is owed (total and per class), and if Airtable can also track my payments to the Assistants, and keep a running balance of each of their “accounts”. I’ve not found any examples of Airtable being used for accounting tasks, so I greatly appreciate any help in determining of Airtable is the right tool for the job; OR if it is, some assistance in designing the Bas

Hi everyone, Looking for a way to do a multi-step filter within AirTable. Here’s an example of the filters I would need: Where Level 3 Org is Org1 OR Where Level 3 Org is Org2 AND Job Family contains Job1 OR Where Level 3 Org is Org3 AND Job Family contains Job2 Is this possible? It looks like no since you cannot nest filters together in that way. I can do these filters in individual views, but I need an aggregated list in the long run. Any thoughts?

I have a unique situation that I couldn’t find an answer to, possibly to my lack of patience. But I am trying to create a pricing sheet of products. I have two manufacturers. I have installer and wholesale accounts that only get a discount on one of the manufacturers’ products. I was trying to come up with a formula that calculated the accounts discount automatically since I change prices every so often, but want it conditional to the one manufacturer it applies to. I need it to be that if the manufacturer cell says SCF, the installer sell is retail * .9, and wholesale is retail*.75 and if the manufacturer cell says Maven, installer and wholesale are both same as retail. Is this possible??? (I tried attaching a screenshot of my table, and it’s not letting me so I’m explaining it as best as I can)

Airtable Masters, I have set up related tables with rollups and lookups in the past, but this problem has me stumped. I am trying to determine a process capacity by looking at each order and determining the number of units due between the current time and the due date of the order. I have read several post where similar questions are asked, but no answers given. Is this even possible with Airtable? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I have a table where users submit events that happen on a weekly and monthly basis. For example: a yoga class every Saturday at 9am or a group run the first Sunday of every month. I don’t want to add a ton of records of that same event but would like the original date field (Event Date) to be updated so that it populates the next coming date. So process would be: Event is submitted Event Date is populated with first class date ex: 5/20/20 After the first class date passes, it is updated to the next coming date: 5/27/20 Is there a formula that’ll auto-update that Event Date field? Or at least spit out that new date in a new formula field?

Hi all, New to Airtable and by no means a whizz when it comes to formulas. In short, I need to create a formula that will return a date of the 1st day of last month. In other words, today (May 21st), the field should show a date of April 1st 2020. As soon as we hit June, that date should change to May 1st 2020. Any idea how I could do this? Thanks all…

Hello all, I have question regarding a formula for the marking sheet for my university module: I want to compare my students’ final numerical grade (titled ‘total_grade_point’ field in image one) with a range in an adjacent conversion table. The second table contains a numerical range (image two), and I want to get the final string for my student’s grade. Basically, if you follow the images, I want to contrast my students’ grade point with the ranges in the conversion table, and then yield the grade string (zero, low fail, etc.). Hi Just wondering if anyone has an integration for the add table action trigger? I’m using Integromat and that platform doesn’t offer ‘add table’ as a trigger. Airtable’s own Slack notification doesn’t appear to notify of new table actions. Thanks!
