Newbie trying to get my feet wet using a custom form to create new records. I am following the samples provided with the API documentation but the script completes before Airtable is able to finish it’s create function. I didn’t realize that was the problem until I threw in an alert() command to help me debug. That’s when the record would appear in my table. Looking forward to smacking my forehead when someone shows me some simple thing I am overlooking to stay in the script until Airtable is ready. Mahalo. I’m trying to roll up a bunch of different dates. I need them comma separated in an array, so I later can replace the comma with a line break to display them on top of each other. I’ve tried with ARRAYUNIQUE(DATETIME_FORMAT(values, ‘DD-MM-YYYY’)) in my roll-up field However this only works if there is only one date, but when there is more dates then they return ERROR. Is there a way around this?

Hello Airtable Community. I’m actually not sure if the subject is the right for this question but it’s the closest I could think of. I created a formula field to autofill out instagram.com prior to a profile name to save me re-typing it every time. (Thanks to Scottsworld for helping me with that) "https://www.instagram.com" & {profilename} Is there a way to only show instagram.com if a profilename is not empty? ie nothing will show in the formula field if profilename is empty. Hope this makes sense!

Is it possible to hide fields in the expanded view? Right now the expanded views is totally unusable. We have over 100 fields in our table, but only need to see 6-10 in the expanded view. Is that possible? Thank you!

I do not see a way to add a time field, so someone can choose 7:00am or 9pm, etc.

I would like to lock the permissions of editing ‘duration field’ to creators and up (that is easy), but let editors to be able to include information there ONLY by using time tracker block. My goal is to lock to the possibility to change amount of time manually. So, I can use that time duration for billing purposes. However, the problem is: IF I set permission of editing for ‘creators and up’, Time Tracker block can’t be used by ‘editors’ (my general employees) IF I set permission of editing for ‘editors and up’, Time Tracker block can be used by ‘editors’ (my general employees), but they can ALSO change the amount of time of the duration field manually (non secure information). Does anyone know how to solve that situation?

Hello everyone, I’m new to Airtable and I’m struggling to come up with a formula that calculates the different scenarios in relation to the timeframes for the tasks to be performed. I would like to post a notice describing the situation in relation to the various remaining timeframes. Hello Airtable Community, I have a large base of recipes, each with a unique ID. I would like to be able to do a bulk search for several IDs at once, but I have not been able to find a way to do this. Is this even possible in Airtable, or do I need to search for each ID individually? Thank you! Leslie

I have a column for “Completed?” with a checkmark option. When this is checked, I’d like for that column (“When complete?”) to populate the time it was checked. I think I need to combine something like this: IF({Completed?} = 1, LAST_MODIFIED_TIME({Completed?})) with DATETIME_FORMAT(SET_TIMEZONE({Completed?}, ‘America/Chicago’)‘M/DD/YYYY h:mm’) but I’m not getting it to work the way I was hoping. I have 2 fields that both sum up strings of currency. One is the sum of services and the other s a sum of the money paid in. If they total to the same, then my drawer should be balanced. The sums are the same in both fields. Originally, I had an if formula that contained the same sum action that is in {Paid In} because I would rather use an IF formula to tell me if they are the same, rather than comparing the two myself. I thought they must not be the same, so I created the {Paid In} field to check. They are indeed balanced, but the formula does not recognize this as so. My formula: IF({Paid In}={Gross Income},“√”,“CHECK BALANCE”)

A major limitation of Airtable currently is the ability to generate useful notification emails. Looking though the list of scripts on “Built On Air”, I don’t see any scripts that send emails. Have any scripts been written related to sending notification emails? Is that possible? Thank you! Paul Warren

Hi there! I’m trying to set up an GET function to pull data from Airtable into Dexter (chatbot) based on a user inputting their e-mail address. I’m not getting an error message, but the response is coming back as empty. We highly recommend taking an idea from our list of use cases.” Is that “highly recommend” just in reference to getting inspiration, or were these use-cases identified as high-value asks that the team is keen to see implemented? I have a table that keeps track of calls being made by volunteers. The base has 3 main tables: callers, people being called, and a call log where volunteers submit a form detailing their calls (the tables are all linked). The call log form has a field where callers put “yes” if they reached the person and “no” if they did not reach the person. I want to create a view of the “people being called” table where there are only the people who have not been reached for all of the lates 3 calls. How can I do this? I know I could do rollup fields for the calls, and I have used this to keep track of when the last call was for each person, how many calls total, etc. But I am not sure how to keep track of the characteristics of the 3 latest calls.

I want to be able to take live notes during a video recording, and then be able to go back into the recording and find things easily. I have a table that is suppossed to create records for file attachment and other details. Juding from code below, How do I attach files along with other records in airtable. Do I have to convert the file to base64 or just upload the files to a remote server and then add the file links in the record. Hi! :wave: I am using the PUT version of the Airtable Update records API. I have four columns/fields, Name , Contact , Attachment Image & Active. Now I call the API to update just the Attachment Image column, with the below API body : It updates the Attachment Image field’s value successfully, but clears all other fields. The record snapshots (before and after) look like - Before - After - So, how can I make the API update that cell ONLY, and touch nothing else? I’m trying to list all records using the Airtable API that have been updated in the last 24 hours. This job will run each day and check for the last modified column and if the date `IS_AFTER(TODAY()-1 DAY, TODAY()). I’m struggling with the syntax. Does anyone have any guidance on this?

Hey everybody! I’m starting development on a block for the hackathon – super exciting! I’m going to need to store a unique token for each user, because I’m going to need to do some OAuth in my block. I’m wondering the best approach to do this? I could store it in GlobalConfig, each token is accessible through the ID of the user, but I’m not sure about that. Any advice would be much appreciated! I noticed this is done the demo for blocks, by storing the Twilio ID and Secret, so I’m curious how it’s done there

Hello, I have a column that is called Contacts that lives in table Publications. In this column, each cell has one or multiple linked records that can be found in another table called Press & Media Contacts. A cell inside Contacts looks like this What I would like to do is to filter and select the rows that have a certain contact in, using the record id. The only way I could do this was to use filterByFormula and Name, not record id: "filterByFormula" => "FIND('Keith Shearin',Contacts)" What I would like to do is something like this: "filterByFormula" => "FIND('reclhWRUlh9q47Zfd',Contacts)" Where reclhWRUlh9q47Zfd is Keith Shearin record id. FIND is obviously not the proper way to do it since it finds a string inside a string. FIND(stringToFind, whereToSearch,[startFromPosition]))` Do you guys have any tips on how can I achieve this?
