Hey Community!!Not a real actual current use case, but thought I'd spice-up the community a bit to kick-off the year! I can think of different workarounds for the following edge case, all of which could theoretically work (although not ideal) however I'd love to get to know your thoughts for it as the same logic and issue applies for other use cases.E.g. think of music concert tickets with initial stock of two (2) tickets.If Buyer A, Buyer B, and Buyer C all open the form at the same time (or before any submission occurs), they will all see availability of 2 tickets.Even if Buyer A purchases 1 ticket, available tickets shown on Buyer B and Buyer C's screen will still show 2 (unless they refresh the form and therefore retrieve new updated data from Airtable).This will not be an issue if Buyer B purchases 1 ticket immediately after -as there is still one ticket left.However, by the time Buyer C wants to make the purchase, the form still

Greetings, Airtable community!I wanted to reach out to ask for your ideas and assistance with a road block I ran into:I have a Fillout "SignUp" Form that allows clients to schedule themselves for an appointment at the specific appointment time they choose. I've successfully customized Fillout form to show ONLY "unfilled" appointments (based on an Airtable view) when the client loads the form.The problem is that if 3 people load the form at the same time, then they can all 3 "Sign Up" for the exact same appointment. Since they all loaded the form at the same time they have the same options given from Airtable. And since the form doesn't update in "real time" unless they refresh the page, then there's no way to keep them from all 3 selecting the same Appointment time.On the back end, this means I received 3 SignUps for the same appointment and a "Something Went Wrong..." email from Airtable. I am starting to think this isn’t an option in Airtable, but am hoping someone out there knows how to do this. I found one other support question on it and no response. I have a table showing the grants given out to grad students. Each grant gets a unique entry identified by the grad student recipient’s name. Some grad students get these more than once in separate semesters. I have a view sorted by group (the recipient’s name) and can see the number each student received, but there is not a count for the number of groups. Is there a way to count this other than manually or am I SOL? I tried to think of a way to run a formula or something else to do this, but cannot seem to figure it out.

We're annotating and marking up alot of images on a daily basis for manufacturing (arrows, dotted lines and text). This was typically done in Excel docs and then the excel doc would get exported as pdf and sent to manufacturers.We've now tried to move all this onto Airtable. We're using documint to export the documents from airtbale and illustrator to annotate the images.However our team that deals with marking up the images is about to "lose the will to live" as they say it takes too long to first download the images to their harddrive. Then open the image in illustrator, then make the annotations. Save them as jpg and then upload into Airtable. And if anything needs to be ammended they'll have to the whole thing over again (as it's fairly technical the annotations often has to be reviewed and amended by a technical team). Our problem is we can't annotate directly in Airtable as we need to use marked up images layed out in printed docume

I have a project table and a client table. I need to use automations to have the client related information auto populate into the projects table. I have created a very basic example to show what I am trying to do but the real situation is way more complex with hundreds of rows and we are unable to use the linked field type to do this without a huge amount of effort. Since the client name is a common and unique value between both tables my understanding is there is a way to use automation to populate the information in the project table with the corresponding information (Notes and Status) from the Client table. The Trigger and Find Records action do as I expect but I keep getting an error with the Update record action and am unsure of what to do to fix this issue.

I have a table with an Attachment field holding a PowerPoint  PPTX file.Is there any way (in an Interface or another) I can Drag and drop that file into another (Windows) application? Just adding the file to an Interface doesn't seem to allow drag and drop.Specifically, I need to drag the file into Canva - Create a Design (Upload). Thanks!

Does anybody know or has script you put in extensions and automatically shows post and comment karma on airtable. You need reddit api and airatble api. And a script that i dont know how to write. I would appreciate every help

I have data from an outside program that essentially has 300 questions from form submissions as columns and the rows containing Yes, No or N/A answers. I need to organize this data in a way to be able to get totals for how many yes/no for each question and come up with percentages for how often something is a yes. Thank You

Hi,I use Sling (getsling.com) to schedule crew for my events. I use Airtable to document all other information about the events. I would love if there was a way to sync my shifts from Sling to their respective events in Airtable. That way I would be able to see who is scheduled for that event and what positions they are scheduled for without having to log in to sling. Does any have any experience linking Sling with Airtable? Is it possible with a third party like Zapier or Make? If anyone has any guidance on this that would be greatly appreciated!

I use Airtable for something related to website data. I have a table which is a list of pages/URLs from a website, which was extracted from Google Analytics. The key is the URL/page but it also contains data such as the volume of page views and other statistics about the page. In an ideal world I want this table to update automatically, so e.g. the data is always about the most recent month. I know there is a zapier integration but I can’t get my head around it, mainly because what happens if someone creates a new page in the source data i.e I am not just updating records based on changes to the data in Sheets, I need to also populate new records. Is this multiple Zapier integrations??

I want have a couple things I'm trying to accomplish.First, I want to be able to create a budget and allocate an amount of the budget to a certain category (labor, rentals, food, etc.).Next, I want to be able to track how much we are spending on each of those categories for each show. (Show 1: $1,000 on labor, $5,000 on rentals, $150 on food, etc.)Then, I want to link those together. For example, I want the show totals for each major category to then update the overall season long budget (the first item). Ideally, there is an interface with three pages. I'm looking for a way to share a calendar subscription link (e.g. iCal subscription) of a filtered view.  Currently my Calendar view subscription shows all calendar events for all users - I'd like to have a customised link that's unique to each user (i.e. using their username / email address field taken from the table) so that they can only see their own events and not those of all users.Any suggestions of solutions for making that work, please?

We have a Number field that we use for height that is always entered as a whole number in inches. Example: 65 or 66. Yet, when we pull this data via API, it will change it to a decimal. Example: 65 turns into 64.8 or 65.2. We do not understand why this would happen. Any help is appreciated, thank you

I haven't been able to figure out how to pick a specific value from a synced field when I have a form submitted.  (Aka I want to set several fields specific values)I have a form that I have created for adding a new event for the Virtual event team.  Since I know several of the standard fields, I am auto populating them on submission; The Program Team (HHH) TIJP Type - Program.But I can't get any values for State to show.  It is a Linked Field from the Sync table (States)in the Events Base.  What am I missing here to get the value like I have in the two other fields to populate on submission?  &nbs

What I'm after *should* be easy. I have spreadsheets of information that I manage informally. The rows of each spreadsheet are records that would ought to filled & updated by outsiders. Obviously there's a limit to how much we can do via Google Spreadsheets -- I can't assign ownership to each row.  So it seems like this is where people upgrade to AirTable. So here's the things I need, beyond what I see in the demo tool:It's a fair assumption that the first row is the field name. The second row is my description / help text. Can the import tool support that?Data is often never as primitive as we like. Is a map type supported? This could be edited through the form. I need to broker access to each row. I'd like to click on each row, "assign to group", and then email the owner of that group; they can then manage access for others who would update that row. How would they be charged? I imagine I should have to pay something for that

Hello! I have been using Airtable for a long time, with a Zapier integration, and ran into some issues recently that I hope someone can help me solve. I am using Airtable to collect appointments. The client's appointment time triggers Zapier to send an email reminder the day before at 9am.  This happens when the appointment moves into the "Reminded" view, using the filter to only show appointments that are scheduled for tomorrow. Since this would trigger to send the email at midnight the day before, I had to add a delay of 9 hours, to make this properly send in Zapier at 9am. Essentially, the day before an appointment at 9am, I want to send an email to the appointment subject to remind them.This worked properly for a couple of years, but suddenly the emails would go out all different times. I investigated this, and found that Airtable moving appointments into the view at inconsistent times were likely the culprit. That said, I want to bu

Hi.  It's my first day. I'm trying to create a maintenance log for my laundromat. I created a base with the following tables: Washers, Dryers, Maintenance Requests.  The Maintenance Request table is populated by a form I created for my staff to request maintenance. On it I created a field called 'Machine Type' where you select washer or dryer. The next field is 'Machine ID' and if you select washer under 'Machine Type' I'd like it to give a drop down menu showing the Machine ID's from the 'Washers' table and if you select 'Dryer' I'd like it to pull the machine ID's from the 'Dryers' table.  Can I do this?

Hey there, I have a problem with the interface form an airtable app i created. When i want to open the 'socials' interface, it doesn't work and it gives an error. I have tried numerous things, but nothing works. I also tried to get help from the airtable support, but they couldn't help me as well. Is there somebody that has experienced the same problem? Thanks in advance
