Hi everyone,I’m a small business owner currently on an annual Airtable plan with about 11 months remaining.I need to add a contractor as a real collaborator/editor for a short period. Read-only access will not work for this workflow. I’m completely fine paying for the time she actually needs access, such as one month, but I do not want to accidentally commit to paying for an additional collaborator for the rest of the annual term.Is there any way to add a temporary collaborator on an annual plan and only pay for the month they are active?Or is there a recommended setup for short-term contractors who need editor-level access without triggering a full annual seat charge?I’d really appreciate any guidance before I add the user and create another unexpected billing issue.Thank you.

Hi everyone,I have a question regarding how billing works for Interface collaborators on the Business Plan.I currently have a Business Plan account and I’ve shared a specific Interface with several users who are on the Airtable Free Plan. When I check my Admin Panel, these users are correctly listed under the "Viewer" permission level.My question is: Will I be charged for these users?I want to make sure that sharing interfaces with "View-only" permissions doesn't trigger additional seat costs on my monthly/annual bill.Thanks in advance for the help!

Right now I am using Fillout for all of my questionnaires/lead retreival and zapping into Airtable. Now with Claude AI coming on board is there a way to utilize Airtable again for dynamic questionnaires?

The public link cannot open the mobile page on my phone.The page opened on the phone shows the desktop version. I’ve tried all browsers and also tested on my friend’s phones.

I have a PostgreSQL database and I'm currently trying to sync it with Airtable. My current setup triggers a sync whenever a new record is created in the database, but I'm getting frequent synchronization errors.I'm wondering: is there a way to connect Airtable directly to a PostgreSQL database as a data source — similar to how Metabase lets you query a database directly — rather than relying on a sync mechanism? Essentially, I'd like Airtable to read data live from the DB without needing to replicate records.If not natively, are there recommended integrations or workarounds for this use case?

I’m trying to figure out how I can have the order of the columns tied to the order of the fields in the data panel the same way it works in the native AT tables. Anyone know? Thank you. 

Hi everyone! I hope I explain this correctly since I’m not an Airtable guru. I created an Airtable automation with Gmail and completed a project yesterday. I want the client to receive an automated email confirming completion of the project today. Images of configuration and results are attached, but the email hasn’t been sent yet. I assumed it would have been sent by now and it hasn’t. I’m CST and currently it’s 10:55am. Am I missing anything?  

We’re using Airtable to review pdf documents, and the thumbnail on the interface page is just 5-10% too small for our users to do their job. They need to be able to look at the document and enter information on the same page, and clicking on the attachment field to get a better look takes the user away from the fields the need to access.Setting the appearance to “hero” in the settings and fitting the image to size makes it slightly too small to be useable. Unchecking “fit image size” degrades the quality to slightly too fuzzy to be comfortable to read.Noloco’s interface solves this particular problem easily, because they place the preview window directly in the interface, but we want to go back to Airtable’s native interface for a lot of other reasons.Does anyone have an idea of how to solve this, or can we request a slightly larger zoom on a pdf fit to size, or better quality preview resolution?

Hello!I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure this out - can anybody help?In my base, I have a main table named “Contacts” in which there’s a single select column for “Category” (stylist, producer etc...)I then have a table for each of these Categories with more info to add there.In those tables, I have added a Linked Record column to take the name from the main contacts table, with a condition:“Filter record selection by a conditionwhere all of the following condition is trueWhereCategoryisStylist” Even with that condition, it’s still pulling the info for all contacts. I even tried to filter by view, to no avail with the same result. Has anyone faced this before?

A helper said that I have to enter the link manually by clicking in the box and selecting the correct link to establish. He corrected the field books to show me an exemple. But I don’t see what’s wrong. I have three Tables. - Commit Items, Invoice Header, and Invoice Detail. Lets assume that For Commit No ACB001 there are 4 Records in Commit Items Table with many records for other Commit Nos.. When the invoice is received for Commit No ABC001 and entered on Invoice Header table with Invoice No and Commit No ABC001, I would like automation to grab four records from Commit Items table and create those 4 records + Invoice number in Invoice Detail table. How do I achieve this? Just a reminder, I am new to AirTable.

Hey 👋I've been building a custom Interface Extension using the Extensions SDK and ran into what seems like a significant limitation — I can't find any supported way to let users upload a file/attachment directly from within the extension UI.What I'm trying to do:I have a custom extension embedded in an Interface page. The workflow requires users to attach a file (e.g. a PDF or image) to a record — ideally triggered from a button or input inside the extension itself.What I've tried:Using a standard HTML <input type="file"> — the file picker opens, but there's no SDK method to then take that file and write it as an attachment to a record field. Looking through the @airtable/blocks SDK docs for something like updateRecordAsync with an attachment payload — attachment fields require a URL, not a raw file object. There's no upload endpoint expose

Somewhat recently, Airtable updated self-linked record fields so they automatically create a second field on the same table showing the inverse relationship — same as how linking between two different tables has always created a field on both sides.I have a few tables with self-links that I set up before that change, and they're still one-way. Is there a way to add the inverse field to an existing self-link without deleting and recreating it? 

I’ve imported several tables into AT. They each had a day field (no time element). I just noticed all the dates are +1 day from what they should be. How is this even possible?More importantly, how do I fix it?

Hi guys,I’m building a CRM within Airtable and need to create a two-way sync between Airtable and Google Calendar so if an event is created/updated/deleted in one, it automatically updates in the other. This is the current setup I have: A separate ‘Meetings’ table for events created within Airtable and a separate table that’s integrated with the Google Calendar (on the interface, it will all just be one calendar). I am trying to create an “Update Record” automation so if an event is updated in Airtable, it updates in Google Calendar but I’m running into some issues and with the vice-versa automation.The trigger runs successfully but the action always fails:

I'm glad you can share an individual page in an interface. It's a decent improvement but still not the best solution. Now, if you could public share a full interface or at least the overview page, it would be such a much needed game-changer.Being able to share the Overview page of an interface with a nice cover image would be so helpful when sharing with a client or customer. It looks professional, well organized and nicely structured. Perfect if you want to share only the information without providing full access.Notion (overrated IMO) allows this (sharing of a workspace) where you can organize it and make it look professional. Currently in Airtable, when I end up haveing to share multiple URLs for different pages, clients get very overwhelmed. Being able to publicly share an interface would be incredible.

Hey Airtable Community!First time community user so please be kind! I work for an Event Production company, we are beginning to explore the possibility on switching to airtable.  We currently use an Edoc software called Pandadocs for our proposal writing.I am trying to figure out the possibility of when Documet completed → Airtable duplicates a prebuilt base and then takes the pricing table information in the doc and pushes it into each table accordingly.I will admit there is still a lot of details still up in the air, such as what is a table and what is a view? But I am focused on how mechanically I can make that kind of automation and what guardrails I should look out for? 

Is this possible? I have multiple views which I use, but not all information needs to be displayed when I add a record through a linked record. Right now, it seems whatever view is at the top of the list in a table is the one that shows up when a linked record is used.

There is a BASE / Table / bunch of fields.There is web app using API, which neatly makes a form for users to change their details, not just create as Airtable native forms.Everything works perfectly, until team member changes the field name.I know you can use serial name “fld123ABC456”, but it involves creating another object to hold pairs of serial names and human readable name. Code is also much cleaner with field names. rawContacts[xyz].fields[“Some Field Name”] reads much better than rawContacts[xyz].fields.fld123ABC456Question: is there a native way to find who and when made a field name change.Also how the change was made old name → new name and old type → new type I have been asking Airtable, as enterprise user for years now, to implement admin layer on field definitions, so that very few people can make these devastating changes. In the meantime, is there a log of these changes natively?Or does it
