It looks like the forms in AirTable have recently gotten a bit of a revamp. Is there a way to add blocks that just contain helper text? I essentially want to include text giving directions and reminders to the form taker as they are going through the form. I know a field can have helper text added, but for the form I'm creating, there are certain pieces of info/reminders that aren't necessarily directly related to a specific form field question, but it's info that I still want to remind the form taker about. I can add it as helper text, but it won't flow as well.

Hey everyone,I think I’ve raised this before, but unsure if there’s a workaround …It seems from a record template, you can’t add an assignee to a task, who doesn’t have base access permissions? I guess the logic is that they won’t be able to view the task in the base?Similarly, if you have 2 views, eg) Admin and Tasks, with views of the same list of tasks, you can’t assign a task to someone in the Admin view, that only has access to the tasks view, even though they’re the same tasks?Any thoughts / experience with this? The main pain point is the Record Templates assignee field, as we can’t fully automate assignees in recurring project tasks, so they need to be manually added / an automation created.

I know a few years ago it was not possible, but I'm curious to know if anything has changed. I have a long form that I'd like to split into multiple pages. Is this still impossible to do in Airtable? Is my only solution to use an external service like JotForm?

Hi, I have connected Jotform with my Airtable. Everything works perfectly fine. Information was able to save on Airtable appropriate. I chose the E-signature widget on Jotform, is there any way I can save it on Airtable as an image? or what should I do with it? Any suggestion？

I see there have been a handful of posts pertaining to e-signatures in AT forms, but I decided to add another one since the most recent seems to be from 2021 and we know how fast things change in this space. My specific use case revolves around credit card authorization forms. As we rebuild our company website, one request from the CEO is to add an embedded form to our site. As it stands we use Adobe to create an editable PDF however I don’t currently have access to our login to explore what a logged-in admin sees when receiving a completed form. Currently we send the editable PDF form to clients via email. Most clients…it’s an old school industry, then print it, fill it out, scan it, then email it back. We then scan and file the hardcopy away. In my mind the ideal flow would be to embed on our site, allow user to fill it out with esign, and have submissions stored in a table somewhere (either adobe or AT) Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Airtable Community!I’m trying to set up a formula that will convert a printed price to its digital price equivalent, but the rules for those calculations are wonky. I was able to successfully tell the formula that for items under 10.99, it should subtract 1 or 2 from the printed price (depending on the original format), but my attempts to code a SWITCH clause for any titles over $10.99 (and thus subject to a specific price grid) are just returning empty values.I’m trying to argue that if a book is hardcover and greater than 10.99, then the digital price from a grid should be swapped in based on the print price. Hi Community, I would like to create a new record that is automatically linked to a parent record when I click "+ Add record" in the interface detail view of my parent record in Airtable Interface.To try to explain clearly, my database is comprised of two hierarchies in two different tables.Table 1 is "Communications" and contains the parent records.Table 2 is "Web Articles" and contains the child records that are linked to a "communication" record in table 1.When I am in the interface list view of the "communications" table, and click on the details of the "communication" record, I can see my linked web articles (see screenshot 1).The only way to add a new record from here is to create one with a form. If I then try to add a new record (+ Add article), it opens a form to create a new record in the child "web articles" table, but there does not seem to be any way to link this new record directly to the parent record through whic

Hello ! I’d like to track leads who fill the airtable form embed in my website in order to make Facebook ads. Do you know how I have to set GTM to manage it ? I first created a thank you page but my browser (Chrome) blocks it as a pop up page (perhaps because my website juggles between my domain name and Airtable one ?) and I’m concerned my customers have the same issue. I’m trying to build a comprehensive marketing ‘universe’ for a company i’m contracting for. I’ve designed a pretty slick content calendar system, but i am really need a way to interface with other stakeholders without giving them full access to airtable. (think PMs, Creative team for creative review etc.) I want to use portals but is cost prohibitive for me right now. Anyone have any work arounds? where I just want to show them a view without inviting them to the whole base as a contributor?

Hello !this might sound strange but I'm encoutering issues while wanting to allow users to edit or add new records to a list view in an interface. Sometimes the toggle button to allow this just doesnt exist ... this is quite frustrating and I haven't figured out the way out of this. Please help 🙂 See screenshot

Hello! I’m working on a series of budget interfaces for my team members in a university office, and I want them to be able to edit certain fields of their personal budget “dashboards” (not the Airtable Dashboard interface style, just the word they’re using) without editing all of the details...which would open us up to folks potentially messing up other important info by mistake.  Currently we have the dashboards viewable as grids, because they give us the option to have Sums at the bottom of each column, showing folks what their running balance is for each budget category. However, the only way I can seem to get the “edit this column” option is by using a List view, instead of a Grid, which doesn’t calculate the sum automatically. Is there a workaround for this folks have seen? Essentially, I want them to be able to edit some-not-all of the records’ fields, and I want an automatically calculated sum at the bottom of the grid/list/etc. Ideas? (The two images below illu

Very new to this. Is there a way to create a fill-able form for my employees to fill out and submit. When they submit it, I’d like it to show up as an attachment next to their name in their row. I don’t want to create a new row for each form submission because it’ll add up quick with everyone doing weekly forms. My employees have to fill out a form every week and submit that so I need a way to keep track of who submitted/when and keep them all together. Thank you!

Hello,I have a table with a file field, there I also have a “file url” field where I add the expiring downlad url of that file. As this url expire after 2 hours, I search for a solution to update this url every 2 hours so it stay available. I tried with automations first : Tried a repetition group but the problem is that all I can do is add the whole list of url (separated with comma) from all the records, i cannot find how to add the url of this record only. For exemple I want to have :File url of record 1 = url 1File url of record 2 = url 2File url of record 3 = url 3 But what I have is :File url of record 1 = url 1, url 2, url 3File url of record 2 = url 1, url 2, url 3File url of record 3 = url 1, url 2, url 3 So I tried with scripts, I found a script extension that work perfectly (its named “Convert attachments to URLs”) but I cannot find how to execute it automatically ever

Hi all, we’re a custom sportswear company using Airtable to track orders. At the moment we have a single line item for each garment ordered, and the numbers of each size. The view is grouped by contract number so we have all garments for each client grouped together. I have tried creating a form for this but under Garment it will only allow me to choose one garment, OR I can setup the garment field to allow the form filler to choose multiple garments . I will not go into full detail because it is exhausting, but I have run into a situation where data written into my base occasionally has a trailing space character, which caused confusion and havoc between airtable and softr over the past 4+ weeks.The extra [space] character is really just typo. But to the naked eye, it cannot even be seen. How can I prevent any trailing [space] characters being written in the future?? Is there a native trim function?

Good day everyone! I want your feedback on how to complete this. I have a table of ‘Projects’ listed and includes a linked field where I select multiple records that represent rooms of a house. This is what I want to do: once I select multiple rooms of the house, I want to auto-create a list for that particular project that includes default furniture and accessory pieces for each associated room of the house. That way, I’m not having to manually write it for each project that comes up. It may be easier for me to create an excel document to include the most common rooms with associated furniture and décor pieces. What are your thoughts? If it’s possible to complete, do you have any recommendations on how to make it happen? Thank you!

I run my market garden business on airtable. The market price for my vegetables change monthly or seasonly. At the moment I use a formula field to calculate the return on my production each month . I have a table for each vegetable price but when my prices change how do I stop the new price altering all my previous months. Do I need to use a script?

Is there any option to integrate Adobe e-signature with Airtable? If yes, can someone please guide me through it?Based on the data entered in the Airtable, I want to create a PDF file which would be mailed to 4 different people to sign it. I also want to know that how can I create a PDF based on the data entered and automate to send it to all the people in the list and get it signed one by one with first in the list as first and so on. 

How can I turn off spell checking? I use this entirely for foreign-language content (all non-English words) and Airtable is underlining every single word!
