I'm finding the Duplicate Field function to be very handy in building a form with a lot of repetitive fields (long story short, it has to be built this way or prospective users won't buy in), but I wish I could duplicate an entire Group. The only actions I can take on a Group are to delete it, change the permissions, change the appearance, set rules for visibility.If only there was such an action as Group>Duplicate. Anyone know of a trick or extension? I can't find anything.Also, does this seem like a thing that form-builders want to do? I haven't seen anyone asking for it anywhere else.

Hello,I’m updating a form we use to provide training for our users and would like to create a more user-friendly design. Is there a way to customize Airtable forms so that users can choose between a “list view” and a “calendar view” when signing up? Below is a screenshot of our current forms list view.If that is possible, as a follow-up, is there a way to add a trigger question within the form that determines which view (list or calendar) is displayed based on the user’s selection? 

In the relatively recent past, it was possible to add users to Groups in the admin panel without having to write up a notification message and send them an email that they'd been added. Sometime in the last 8 months or so that was changed, and now anyone added to a group has to be notified via email, even if that Group isn't tied to any access and is solely intended as organizational. Why? It's also not possible to add people to a Group by checking off users from a list, only by typing in their names or pasting comma separated emails.Whatever changes were made have made it harder to use the Groups function and more cumbersome for admins, as well as confusing for end users who may have no idea why they were added to a Group of what it means if there's no obvious new access granted when they login. This feels like a useless change, and one that takes the experience backwards, not forward.

I’ve built a custom scripting extension that I intend to launch from a record button, send that record’s ID to the extension, and execute my script. I configured the button to launch my extension, which it does, but I can’t seem to get it to register the ID of the record clicked. Hello, I am filtering out a view based on the value of a “single line text” field in which I search for a specific substring (E.G. “Backrow”) although I got presented also the records in which there is the same word but with different casing (“BackRow) and I don’t want that.Am I missing something or the filtering for “single line text” is actually case insensitive? Hello, The article on “Airtable automation action: Send MS Teams message” has options mentioned in it that I don’t see on my airtable (we have enterprise), specifically the “Dynamically messaging channels and users” section. Are these upcoming changes? Beginner here, first post - certainly not the last.  What I am needing seems like it should be simple, but the solution is evading me.What I'm looking to implement is a way to find the total number of rows (volunteers) from table A and write that into table B once a week so I can track the total number of volunteers over time.I have linked both tables but no matter what field I try to run the COUNTALL on, the result always seems to come back a 1.  Ideally, I'd like to use an automation so that this total is pushed to the history table once per week.  Sure could use some help here.TIA,Dan 

I have an interface set up showing our contacts and associated interactions with them. There are two levels of hierarchy. At the top (Level 2) is "People" and under that is Level 1 "Interactions". These levels are linked by a common Interactions column. I've enabled the download .csv option.However, the resulting .csv file only reflects the shown information on the "Interactions" level (level 1) and shows none of the info from "People (Level 2). I used the .CSV extension to upload a file into a base, but the data didn’t populate into the cells correctly. I’d like to restore the table to its original state without creating a completely new base from a snapshot.My idea is to make a snapshot, then copy and paste the earlier version of the table back into the base. The field types match, and I’ve already removed any groupings, sortings, or filters.Is there anything else I should watch out for before doing this? It seems like a quick fix, but I want to be sure I’m not overlooking something.

Hi community, I recently had to solve the situation where I needed to get URLs from hyperlinks stored in rich text formatted long text fields and put them in another long text field. Essentially, just showing the URL, not the hyperlinked text. I ended up adapting the "Convert attachments to URLs" script (posted by Alex Wolfe). I had found a post here, that used a regex expression but this seemed to only work for visible URLs. I never could get it to work for my use case. Hi everyone,I've noticed that in Airtable forms or when entering data into a Linked Record field, there’s currently no native way to copy and paste multiple records at once, or to select multiple records in a single action—other than selecting them one by one.I was wondering if anyone has found a workaround, automation, or clever trick to make this process easier. Hey guys,I am building out a record template that creates new records across multiple tables, however I have a table that only give me the options to "Link an existing record".I've tired making a template on a different table linked to the problem table and the issue is still there, no "Link to new record". Hey! Wondering if anyone has any insight into this!I'm creating an automation between Make.com, Chat GPT and Airtable to automate part of my content creation process. I'm stumped in this automation and would love a hand! The make.com senario uses a webhook to grab an airtable record, sends the record data to Open AI for Chat GPT to make a completion then sends the completion back to the original airtable record.And it's all working, which is exciting!EXCEPT the chat GBT completion doesn't end up back in the airtable record. I'm not getting any error messages to troubleshoot though. Hi all,Seeing lots of posts from 2021 and 2022 about an inability to print from Airtable. When I go to print either a record review interface, or from the page designer, the generated PDF is an absolute mess.A lot of the posts say Airtable are working on it, so hoping that in the 2 or 3 years that progress has been made, or a work around solution has been found?If not, is it fair to conclude that printing from Airtable requires an external app and to factor those costs in when assessing costs for Airtable?Thank you,Ryan

Howdy all, I promise I really have looked at exisitng topics but there is information overload. Ideally I would like ot use ODBC driver to connect to AT to Windows via ODBC driver, I found several but they are all expensive subscriptions.  It seems AT may have its own ODBC driver now??  But I can’t find it anywhere in the AT documentation. What is the best extension or method to use data from multiple tables within a base, fill in essentially form letters WITHOUT using the extensions that you have to put the information boxes on the template.   The data I have for the body of the “letters” is sometimes several pages and I can’t find an extension that doesn’t chop off the rest of the text once it goes beyond the bottom of the information box or window we placed in the page setup.  We are printing the letters to PDF. Any suggestions for something that would act as “mailmerge” or is an annual ODBC sub to CCData or Devart the best

When I copy and paste the name of linked records, they appear as they should in the proper order. When I view those linked records in a filtered view (organized by a person’s name), those linked records are now out of order. There are no Sort settings or anything unusual to alter the records on my end. To be clear, they appear in the correct order on the initial view, but not through the filtered view. 

What are the best no-code tools to create your own ai chatbot that can talk to your Airtable base? I want users to ask a question and ChatGPT (or Claude or other LLMs) will answer using my Airtable as a knowledge base. I heard there are tools such as Flowise that enable that. Any recommendations?

Hello Community, We have noticed the following error when sending automated emails: Although I have defined the customer as the recipient (with myself as the trigger in CC), the email is primarily sent to me and only to the customer in CC. Screenshots are attached. Hi,Is there a way that I can create an interface’s record detail page that auto populates the fields and their order, based on that corresponding grid/list? I’m familiar with the various layouts of the record detail pages that can be saved, duplicated, edited, etc. But it would be really helpful if a new record detail page could automatically be created based on that current grid and/or list view, without the builder having to create that new layout every time.Thanks for any tips! 

We've been relying on view naming conventions to monitor syncs, but is there is a reporting feature or another data-driven solution that lists all of the sync activity coming out of a base? - List of Views that are synced to another base.- List of Tables that contain a synced View.- List of external destination tables synced from a given source table. (this is currently possible for any single view through reviewing the sync settings, but looking for a consolidated view) The specific use case is consolidating bases that have been built by various users. One goal is to eliminate having multiple sync views coming out of one table, but also to develop a roadmap to optimize tables across all of the bases once we're in the same workspace.thanks!
