I'm building a script that will eventually be part of an automation to create records for upcoming coaching calls in one table based on conditions from a separate source table. We've successfully implemented a similar script and automation combo in another base, but I'm having trouble getting this one to function properly. When I run the script, no error messages appear, but none of the expected records are added to the destination table, despite the fact that the source records clearly meet the script’s conditions. I've triple-checked the data and logic, and everything appears to be in order. I'd appreciate help troubleshooting this issue and identifying what's preventing the script from creating records as expected.

I have a sign up process where users can invite other users to join their organisation. As such I have 3 key tables: Users; Invited Users; and Company Information. Users have a linked field to an Organisation ID field in the Company Information table so that the site can display information about the company they are assigned to. When a user invites a new user to join their organisation the Invited User table is updated with a new record including their Email, Name etc. anda linked field “Organisation ID, linked to the Company Information table. Then when an invited user signs up they are added to the Users Table and there is an automation that pulls over information from the Invited Users table like their access level and assigned Organisation ID. However, pulling over the Organisation Field results in a  "Field "Organisation ID" cannot accept the provided value: Cannot modify a computed field." error.I have tried changing the transfered value to a static value (plain

Hello,In an “Agent” table, there is a checkbox field called “Check.”I would like to be able to check all the boxes in this field at once for all the records displayed.I say “displayed” because sometimes there are filters based on certain criteria, and only the boxes for records that match the filter criteria should be checked.If you have any ideas on how to do this...Thank you.

I may be SOL but I am very new to Airtable and I’m wondering if there’s any way to delete a line of text containing a certain word within a record. Basically, I input records that all contain source information and the line of source info always begins with ‘Page’ - is there any way to delete that entire line from all records or am I stuck manually deleting it from every record? 

My script runs as an automation when the user clicks a button on an interface page.If the script fails, I log an error to the console, and I can find the error in the run history. But it would be nicer to display a message to the user if they are still on the interface page. Is that possible? Thanks!

Hello- Is it possible to create an automation that sends attachments into a Google Drive account?

trying to store latest revision on a HEADER record from multiple rows (each with an ascending revision) in the same table. The first row far right on HDR should be the max of 4 shown below. currently says 0.Have two views - HEADERS ONLY and REVS ONLY - so created a link to another record to use rollup.When there is a new revision in the REVS ONLY VIEW - I try to fire an automation that detects the new rev, and automatically copies the ME35 number into the field I use for the link…. argghhargghh…..does not want to work !!!! Ideas

Hi! I have an automation that has two find actions.Find a record (a person) on table 1  Find an interaction on table 2 After the two find actions have run, I have a conditional logic group in order to update the record from table 1. In the first condition, I want to check if a value from Table 2 exists on the record found on Table 1. The value is a formula field on Table 2. However, when I try to make a condition using a formula (either “Activation name” or the array version of that formula, “Activation name array,” it is greyed out and gives the error Cannot assign list of string with strings. How can I use a formula as a condition here? 

Hello im trying to build an ERP for my food business we manufacture and package fast food, so my main goal using airtable is to control raw materials, receiving of raw materials, production control, finished product control, recipes, and inventory.Since my Finished product (recipe) consists of various ingredients, im wondering if its possible to populate said ingredients taken from my recipe table to my production table every time I add (manually) the quantity of items to be produced in the day. or if the is a simpler solution would be great, im trying to control de raw materials consumption during production.    

Can’t imagine this isn’t a bug, but I’m open to hearing explanations. I have a table built from a Salesforce report sync. One field is Account Name. If account name contains a comma, lots of other things break because Airtable doesn’t handle commas correctly in linked records (there’s a feature request open to address this). So I have a very simple automation that should fix things.When a record enters a view I have 2 actions:Run a simple script to grab the account name, strip commas, write the new account name to a separate field in the table. This works fine. Send a Slack message that includes the new account name from that just-written field. This does NOT work. I’m trying to create a base for researching and resolving potential duplicates in another system. This system produces reports on a monthly basis that I’m trying to use as my starting point, ideally without any data cleanup of that file. So far I have 3 Tables:Imports Individual Records Group RecordsMy imports file/table has one row per individual record. Each individual record has a field called duplicate group ID. When two individual records have been identified as possible duplicates, they have the same duplicate group ID. I was trying to do something like:when a record in the imports table meets conditions linked record field “Group Records” is empty Another condition that checks for another automation to run first that corrects a field in the import file. find records that have the same duplicate group ID create one group record  create one

I am very new to Airtable and have been trying to figure out if there are ways for me to automate some of the things I’m doing -  I have ad copy written in one column and I have another column for sorting the ad copy by length (i.e. One-Liners, Paragraph, Essay) - is there any way to automate my length field to auto-populate based on how many lines are in my ad copy field? I tried running a field agent that was ‘if {ad copy} is 1-2 lines…’ and it worked for some records but many had errors. I also tried using the AI assist and asking it ‘if records have 1-2 lines under {ad copy} then categorize it as ‘one-liners’ under {ad copy length}’ but had the same issue where sometimes it worked and other times it ran into errors. 

Can airtable take an uploaded document, such as pdf, doc, docx and then extract the text from it?If so how do I sort that out?I want users to upload a document rather than paste the words in the document for a smoother UX journey

Is there a way to automatically assign people based on a list? Basically, when I change a status on a record, I want it to automatically assign 1 of 3 people from a list to that task (list is separate from base users) and if number 1 was just assigned, the next on the list is 2, then 3, then back to 1. Is there any way to automate this, or do you have to manually assign? 

Having trouble with another automation. I’m trying to make an automation that will send an email to an assigned care worker, when one of their assigned clients (global worker) has not had a touchpoint in more than two weeks. I’ve mapped it to send an email to their email ID from the linked table, but it’s saying “Invalid email address in the "to" field: fldoiK6gc9Jd7MMgy”. Hi there, I’ve got a bookkeeping base I created and added an Auto-categorization feature that’s giving me some trouble. Basically, there is a Transactions Table, a Categories table, a Merchants table and a Rules table. In the rules table, you add the match terms you want the automation to look for, and a linked field with the category you want it to be. The way the automations works is this: record is created in Transactions, triggers automation automation looks to see if any match terms in the Rules table match up with the text in the transaction name if there’s a match, automation runs a script to fill in the category and some other fields (like “merchant”, which is a combo of the Vendor name that comes filled in from the bank plus the transaction year, and “payment type” etc) for the transaction in questionI confess I’m not adept at scripting and enlisted the help of ChatGPT to work this out. Hi everyone! I’m working on an automation that needs to create records based on two linked lists, for example: A list of projects A list of team membersQuestion 1:Is it possible to have an automation that loops over the projects list and, inside that loop, creates records for team members only if the record doesn’t already exist? In other words, can I add a condition inside a repeating loop to check for existing records before creating new ones? Question 2:Is it possible to have nested loops in Airtable automations? Or are there any workarounds to loop over both projects and team members together to automatically create every combination without hardcoding? Thanks so much for your help!

I’m using Airtable to organize a writing group, and I’m trying to set up an automation that will send a weekly reminder about the meeting on the day before we meet, but only to the people who opt into the reminders (who are all listed in a “Reminders List” view of my “Members” table). However, when I activate the automation, it sends multiple emails to each person on the list. How have folks set up weekly reminders to a designated group? I can’t seem to get the table’s “email” field to work as a correct input for “To” so I’ve used another airtable community post’s recommendation of the “find records” action to make a list of people needing the email...but now instead of four people each receiving the email once, each of us receives the email four times. Here’s what I currently have set up, in case that’s helpful:Trigger: at a scheduled time (Mondays at 10am) - WORKS First Action: find records (From the “Members” table, make a list of

Hi all,I am in the process of creating a table for my coaching and consulting work. I have listed all my client names and which company they work for in a table. With about half of these people I actually have meetings with. These meetings are all on Zoom or Teams and I am sent a Zoom Meeting Summary compiled by AI Companion, which creates a summary of what we spoke about. Ultimately what I would like to achieve is the following:I would like this table to automatically assign any meeting summaries the clients are involved in, and then in a separate field, I would like Airtable to extract information from the provided summaries to display what the focus has been for the past six months, and another field to provide recommendations on how to best move forward with each person. Is that possible?

I am trying to share information between two tables, a short list of info and a long list of info. There is a checkbox column in the long list that when checked, it adds that record to the short list. But if the record is unchecked, I want to delete that record from the short list, so it is not there anymore. I haven’t found an easy way to do this, so I wanted to throw it out here.

I have to download the attachments from smarsheet and directly upload them in to Airtable attachments column. is it possible as it is taking much time to upload attachments one by one?

Hi people!I am trying to establish an automation which appends a row to Google Sheet when the certain cell in Airtable is filled.Everything is ok except that duration data from a formula cell is not synced as h:mm as in Airtable but instead I get some strange number such as 3427.Is there any way I can correct this?Thanks so much!

I’m having an issue with an automation getting stuck when trying to update a Google Calendar invite, but only in a conditional set of automations. When I test it with the exact same instructions without the other actions it works fine, so I know that the configuration is good. The automation is triggered when 3 fields match conditions. The conditional actions are based on 2 different fields with the first two actions having one of the fields the same (status), and the other field being empty or not. These first 2 sets of actions work just fine with no issues. The second set of actions is a different status, and whether the other field is empty or not.
