Hello, I’m trying to add a link to my automation, but nothing appears when I add the field even when using parenthesis. Could the fact that the url field/column is a formula link be the reason why the link does not appear in the automation? Left is the column/url i’d like to pull in & the right window is the automation I am trying to set up. tyia!

I ran into a strange problem in an automation.I am using a script to gather some data from two tables and combine it into a rich-text field. In the next step, I send out an e-mail with the content of this field. Turns out the e-mail is sent before the script has updated the text field!Even adding a 3 second delay in the script does not solve the issue.Curious if someone has a solution in place?Thank you!

Hey guys,Is there any plans to make it so that when someone copies a base from a public share link, that the automations also get copied across?I create a bunch of systems and templates for people to try and get them in to using Airtable but this is big limitation when it comes to offering these types of solutions as the automations are really a big part of any system.Is this going to be possible at any point or is there a good workaround at all?

Hi all,Have been scouring the web, AirTable support and various AI platforms to get an answer to this, but no joy so far. I am trying to set up automation to sync changes between Google Calendar and Airtable, including updates and deletions. AirTable support instructed me to set up triggers for new events, updated events and cancelled events. I am doing this on an empty table at the moment just to test it out. However, I am hitting a bit of a brick wall with the Updated Events automation. I believe I have the Find records action set up OK, see screenshot below (although when I test the step at that stage, it says Found 0 Records but I guess this is because the table is empty currently...)My screenshot: Find records menu Where I’m really getting lost is with the Update record part. Hello.My time zone is Israel.I defined the time zone of Israel in the Date and Time field. But when I run formulas or automation on it, it refers to the registered time, as if it were GMT/UTC and this disrupts all my automations.Is there a solution for this?

I have an automation set up with an Outlook email action that runs into errors after sending 25 emails successfully. When I run it at least 24 hours later, it will send another 25 emails. However I keep having to push the rest of the records that need emails sent to the following day. What is the term for this specific limit I’m running into with Outlook’s integration? Is there a way around it or to disable it?

Trying to create a automation. I want to have it when a occurrence is created, it will get a count, with date, and filter by user. And if criteria is met, it will send a email? Prefer not script has i dont have team right now

Hey all,I would like to generate a document using a template that uses formulas to change the data in that document, and then attach that to a contract (populated with information from Airtable also) which is then sent for e-signature.Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?

I am trying to create a automation when record is updated. and column is delete reason is filled out, I want it to update 3 fields... Active to unchecked, remove by date to current and removed_by to user to logged in user... but it fails. Could you help?  

Hi all,  Sadly, when tagging @yourself, you do not get an email notification from Airtable. I was hoping to solve this with an automation. However, I am struggling to set up a trigger that can detect a comment, and further detect a comment where the user tags themselves. Does anyone have any experience with setting up email notifications when a user tags themselves? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Is there a way to add the description from asana card to be sent via script to airtable. I have a full script which is pulling fields but it wont pull the description 

My Ask: What methods can be done to direct or redirect automation error notifications to other base users.For many of the builds, I create the automations thus all error notifications come to me when an automation fails. From what I read, if I want another user to receive them, they have to be the one that creates the automation and turns it on. I would need them to ‘duplicate’ the automation and delete the original.Most of these errors come with the interactive actions involving ‘humans’. A prime example is when a form submitter does not enter their email in correctly thus a confirmation email does not execute. These are operational details that the person I built it for can handle and address. I hate to be the go between for these errors or do something fancy with my inbox to forward them to other users.Thoughts in other methods or do the duplicate way? We are looking to get Zapier that might be a method toward a solution.

Hi all, I am new to Airtable and would be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction. Here is my use case:I manage freezer inventory for a small family business. They bring it food items, vacuum seal them and place them in freezers. The issue is, no one can remember what or how many of any specific item is in the freezers.I would love to be able to create an item tracking system for them in Airtable. For entry, I would like a form that they simply enter an item description. Once submitted, an item number pops up that can be written on the item. (Ideally, if there was a way for it to print a barcode on a computer attached Brother PTouch label  maker, that would be incredible). But either way, after an item is entered, it provides an item number, checks the item in as “in freezer” and adds a date. For removal, I want it to be extremely simple. This is probably very basic for some of you but I’m new to this … I can’t figure it out. I have an automation that sends me an email of today’s tasks every day 7am. But if there are no tasks, I still get the email, but its an error, as below. Subject: Something went wrong with an automation: Send a daily digest - Airtable Any way to NOT send email if the task list is empty? I have tried conditional actions, (but the only conditions allowed relate back to the trigger - which is time based). Thanks

Hello, I was hoping to get some guidance on what I’m doing wrong in regards to updating the “completed by” field on a salon “shift duties” board interface. I’ve just started some work as a freelancer for a company who have an eco system where airtable is the referencing hub for projects. Softr is used to create records linked to projects and the API pushes through the records to sit in Airtable. I’m searching for a way to create workflows easily:Generate automations whereby records that are imported from Softr to Airtable are automatically assigned to people in user groups on a sequential basis to spread workload Create a dashboard on progress for each user and user group to track progress.NB- this is entirely project based and therefore each step must be complete before progression. Thanks alot in advance for your input and advice! 

I'm building a base to track volunteer sign-ups for a project. Table 1 stores Volunteer info Table 2 contains available Timeslots When a new volunteer signs up via a form on the Volunteer table, an automated email is sent confirming the timeslots they’re registered for.The issue: When I include a grid of timeslots (using a Find Records step in the automation), all of the times are showing in UTC. I need them to display in EST.Here’s what I’ve tried: I created a formula field to convert the time to EST using SET_TIMEZONE, and also tried A single-line text field that gets updated by a separate automation But when I try to include either of those fields in the grid, the grid shows the correct number of records, but all the cells are blank.Has anyone figured out a way to include times in the correct time zone (EST) inside a grid in an Airtable automation email? Would appreciate any tips!

Hello Airtable community, not sure it is possible, but Gemini says it is)) but when Gemini gives me the sample script and I adjust it and try to use it, it does not work. Here is what I am trying to do. I have a record (contacts database) where I have a multiple select “Status” for this record. And I have another multiple select “Services” with let’s say “Option A”, “Option B”, “Option C” and “Option D”.When I choose the option “Available” in this multiple select “Status”, I want to the script or automation to limit the options shown in the field “Services”. For example when “Status” is choosen for “Available”, my field “Services” will only display “Option B” and Option D” as an available options to choose from.Anyone thinks you can help me with some advise?

Can someone help with the coding of a script that converts the contents of attached .TXT files to a long Text filed?We have an attachment field [TXT] that contains one text file per field. Hello,  I am currently trying to send an Airtable automation where it bulk emails people from a table. However, I am in the ‘To’ section to send an email, but I can’t find an option under ‘Current item from List of records’ that has just a general statement of ‘Applicant Email’. Currently, it’s showing a specific Applicant Email, but I want to send more than this person. This is also happening for the message when I am trying to include their names. I’ve attached one of the screenshots as a reference.  Can someone help me resolve this issue please? 

Hey All,I am trying to add a button to an interface which will simply duplicate the existing record the interface is looking at.  The Interface is a quote builder and we often want to make different iterations of a quote for a customer.  I know we can simply go to the grid view, find the record, right click and duplicate the record, but I am trying to not give my sales team access to that level of data.  You know how sales teams are.  😉 I imagine a script of some sort would work, but I'm more of a no-code guy, so I'm looking for some help.  Thank you for your time.

Hello, I help run a nonprofit that has a mentoring program where both mentors and mentees apply and then we make matches between them, and this is the first year we’re using Airtable to help power this.I have two tables within the same base: one for mentors, who have filled out a form and indicated topics that they are interested in mentoring, and then another for mentees, who filled out a different form and indicated topics they would like to be mentored on. Both “topics” fields have the same list that fills in a multiselect field.I have a junction table (“Match”) setup to be able to link mentor+mentee, but I’m running into a lot of difficulties automating the process.Ideally, here’s what I’d like:An automation that goes through every entry in the Mentor list, and then for each Mentor, adds every potential Mentee match to the junction table if any topic matches, and A field for each match in the junction table that tells us how many topics match, so for instance we can manually review

I am trying to implement a notification to go out to my team via Slack whenever a particular sentence text (named "Changes") is updated via Airtable. This is how I have it set up:1. Trigger Type: When record updated2. Table: Log-in3. View: (none selected, watching all views)4. Fields: ChangesSo the automation is watching only the Changes field.  Now, whenever an update is made, the automation is sending a notification several times, once for every few letters typed. I want it to send only when the team member typing leaves the field after making a change. Is this possible. 

How do I duplicate records with Create Automation but not linked to original record?This is for purposes of taking Project Schedule snapshots and currently the data in the new table where the records are getting created, remains linked to the original data.This means the data which I want to be a snapshot is getting updated when changes are made to the original data.
