Hopefully a quick yes/no.I have several published datasets right now serving multiple bases all within one workspace.I’m about to split out our workspace into several for permissions control reasons. Will the dataset still be available to other workspaces (all under the same account), or is a dataset limited to just the one workspace it is created in?
Seeking an Airtable consultant with experience building product development, merchandising, or retail operations systems in apparel, home décor, gift, or consumer products. I am currently implementing Airtable for a nonprofit client and looking for hourly screen-share coaching while I build the base myself. Need guidance on product development calendars, cross-functional workflows, linked records, and database architecture. Seeking flexible, pay-as-you-go support rather than a large consulting package or minimum-hour commitment.Thank you! Rebekah
Hi all,Anyone else having this issue today? I’m not doing anything I haven’t several times before. Not sure if the issue is with me or Airtable is having a challenge.
Why is it not possible to view all of the “Pages” in a base? On an interface view we can create and view all the main pages, but in order to create specific record detail layouts we need to drill down through any and all pages to get to the record detail layout we want to edit. Then we can save a copy and rename and edit, but it would be so much easier to be able to open a “Library” of pages and layouts related to our database so we can easily and quickly view, edit, and copy these.I have to write down and keep track of which page layout I have for different views so I don’t forget where it is and how to get to it.
I need to perform some calculations on the evolution of the skills of all participants individually, using the Airtable interface. For this, I need your help to create the data model. This is the information flow:1- At the beginning of the program, participants must fill out a Google form with 36 questions (never, rarely, sometimes, frequently, always) to assess their skills. The key is their email address.2- At the end of the course, they answer another Google form with the same 36 questions to assess the development of their skills. I already have a table with the participants' data, where the key is the email address. What is the simplest solution to implement this?I've already asked for help, but I haven't been able to implement the solution. :-)
I build 3 tables:First table for suppliers: supplierId, supplierNmae.Second table for products: productId, productNameThird table for the link between suppliers and products: supplierId (link to suppliers table), productId (link to products table), price (the price of the product that supply this product). In relational data base that what I need to buid.Is that what I need to do in Airtable data base?
My job is changing and I’m going to be managing 3 employees. Each has their own set of tasks, but when one person finishes a task, then the next person can then begin doing their task that is associated. In my head, I have Task field, due date, and who it is assigned to in Table 1. I have an airtable I use for my tasks and when I have a date assigned, it will email me on that day and tell me all the things I have on my task list for that day. I’m wondering if I can do the same thing where when a task is assigned to Taylor, it will email her on the date, as a reminder. And when a task assigned to Betty comes up, it emails her. And the same for Augustine. Is it possible to have it automatically email 3 different people based on the tasks assigned to them? I’m watching training videos, but haven’t found one yet that advises me on the most efficient way to do that. Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.Mary

For my project, I need to compare responses between two Google forms with the same questions. At the beginning of the program, the student fills out a form with 15 questions (competencies) of the type (Never, rarely, sometimes, always), and at the end of the program, they fill out another form with the same questions. The goal is to validate, by student, whether there has been progress in competencies or the evolution of competencies among the various students.I already have the table with the students' data; how should I create the tables for this project? Thank you very much!
I have a product table. The first field is ProductId and I want it as a unique field.
Every time I expand a record, the activity feed panel resets to its system default view of “Comments only” instead of remembering my last selection or having an option to change the default per user. For teams that rely heavily on tracking changes, this means manually switching to "All Activity" or "Revision History" on every single record open - which adds up fast.A simple "remember my last selection" or a setting under personal preferences would go a long way.Would love to see this added. It seems like a small lift with a solid quality-of-life payoff. Anyone else finding this frustrating?Has anyone found a workaround in the meantime? And would others find this useful? If so, please upvote. Happy to submit this as formal feedback to Airtable if there's interest.
I have been trying to brainstorm a way to report on all the orders in my Airtable system. I would like to be able to pull reports based on some time measurement (weeks, months, just today, etc.). The best way that I can think of is to have a script that creates a “week record” in another table and assign orders to a week. I would then use those week records to report on.This mostly works, but it feels very chunky. Are there any better ways of doing this?
I got this idea from the AirTable webinar for their Field Marketing team, where they can click a button and generate standard tasks for different events.I worked with an AirTable team member onsite at the NYC event and created my “Tasks” table and I know how to make the button automation. But I seem to still be missing a step.(my tasks table):How do I link my tasks to the event so I can have different due dates? I’m trying to avoid the date dependency set up since our events have different requirements and my coordinators need to be able to adjust those as needed. The real issue I’m trying to solve is that my current task automation is set up with record templates but doesn’t assign those templates to a specific event so I have to go through manually and assign the a show.
The public link cannot open the mobile page on my phone. The page opened on the phone shows the desktop version. I’ve tried all browsers and also tested on my friend’s phones.
Hi! I’m a first-time poster here. I hope the below makes sense. Here goes.I’m a Marketing Coordinator and we have a team of 6. I am redesigning our Airtable base, so that it aligns with best practices and utilises the functions within Airtable more efficiently. Currently everyone works directly from tables, with no interfaces or automations. I have a fairly good understanding of Airtable and it’s capabilities. Our team has deliverables associated with multiple departments and with many external partners. I am starting from scratch, building workflows and the likes, having inherited the Airtable space.Departments include:Product Sales Partnerships (including events) Customer Service RetailRequests include tasks for:Social Content eCommerce Web and SEO Photography and videography Print and digital design (for catalogues, sales conferences, specialty customer product promos, website, etc.) Photo and video processing, editing and creationMy question is; would it be suitable to have all tab
Somewhat recently, Airtable updated self-linked record fields so they automatically create a second field on the same table showing the inverse relationship — same as how linking between two different tables has always created a field on both sides.I have a few tables with self-links that I set up before that change, and they're still one-way. Is there a way to add the inverse field to an existing self-link without deleting and recreating it?
There is a BASE / Table / bunch of fields. There is web app using API, which neatly makes a form for users to change their details, not just create as Airtable native forms.Everything works perfectly, until team member changes the field name.I know you can use serial name “fld123ABC456”, but it involves creating another object to hold pairs of serial names and human readable name. Code is also much cleaner with field names. rawContacts[xyz].fields[“Some Field Name”] reads much better than rawContacts[xyz].fields.fld123ABC456Question: is there a native way to find who and when made a field name change. Also how the change was made old name → new name and old type → new type I have been asking Airtable, as enterprise user for years now, to implement admin layer on field definitions, so that very few people can make these devastating changes. In the meantime, is there a log of these changes natively?Or does it have to be a hack of either manually defininThere is a BASE / Table / bunch of fi
Hi Airtable Community, I’ve got a sandbox running on one of my networked Airtable bases as I work on configuration to connect it to another platform, but I keep getting an error message when I try to apply changes made in the Sandbox to Production: It’s the same error every time. I have creator permissions in both environments, as do the accounts of our external vendor working on the integration. I emailed Support, and was greatly disappointed to get an AI bot response. I’m hoping some real human beings can help me out.
Hi, I’m not so clever at IT and despite reading the Help and this site can’t find an answer. In Kanban view, all cards are listed under UncategorizedSo, how do I create Categories to get the cards out of that column?
I’m building an information architecture for digital asset workflows, especially emerging genAI workflows.Airtable is one early prototype surface for that work, but the larger project is not “just an Airtable base.” The real system sits above it: it defines the structure that commercial asset production actually needs — intent, inputs, constraints, orchestration, outputs, and governance. What I’m trying to solve is not simply how to store asset metadata, or how to bolt AI onto an existing workflow. The deeper question is whether brand rules, approved references, creative constraints, and output expectations can be made structured enough that a system can actually carry them without collapsing into prompt chaos. One early execution proof of that model takes the form of an Airtable base. But the interesting part is that I’m not just manually building a base and calling it done. The larger system expects that prototype, specifies it, auto-builds it, and now uses that live Airtable base as a
I’m an executive assistant who manages a “phone sheet” for an individual in the entertainment industry for someone who “rolls calls.” For those not familiar, essentially I call on the behalf of my boss and then keep a running log of all the outgoing calls placed but not answered, incoming calls not answered, reminders for calls to make at a later date, and then mark completed/connected calls. I use a program called “Phoneslate” that I’m attempting to make a dupe on Airtable. Here’s my question: I would like to be able to enter in someone, let’s say “John Smith,” and then have a column where I can select any of the phone numbers linked on the record. As you can see in the example photos, I would like to add a column between the lookup “Company (from Person)” and “Notes”, where it’ll auto-pop up the 4 different phone number columns and I can select one of the linked numbers. I don’t need all of the numbers listed to appear in the grid, just the one that I would select as the best number
my organization does trainings and after each training, we send participants a post-survey to fill out. each training covers slightly different topics, so the questions we want feedback on change slightly with each training as well. right now, i have one table called post-surveys where each field corresponds to the questions we ask, and the field names are shortened versions of the questions. then we build the form for each post-survey based on which questions we’d like to include. the downside is that it means that table has a huge number of fields and it’s hard to see if the question you want to include already exists as a field or you need to create a new one. (e.g. “S3 FSOW: Challenges” means in session 3, we had a question about challenges that related to the reasons we did the session, you can see how that makes it hard to keep track of the actual question)i’d like to have a table that’s a list of the questions & what type of question they are, a related field for the trainin
Hello,I am new to junction tables and have pretty much zero scripting experience, so bear with me.I am trying to create a breakdown of call sheets for group shoots and create individual “shifts” in a junction table. The goal is to be able to adjust start and end times for those linked in the shoots and to be able to create a more comprehensive reporting interface to track hours and OT by multiple criteria.I cannot show the actual base, but have created a basic example of the structure and result of Airtable’s junction table extension.Client tab:Franchise: Franchises have assigned POCs for internal notifications. This could include executive roles/higher level visibility. Would not include anyone linked in “Shoots”Assets: Linked directly to Editors, Creative Directors, and Producers. Shoots: Only linked directly to Directors, Camera Techs, and Actors.Settings for Junction Table Extension: Result - Shifts (Junction Table) As you can see, it is pulling in combinations for Producers, Edit
We’re an embroidery company and We’ve been working on relaunching our website on Shopify and we were planning on using a third party warehouse management system but we’ve had a dreadful time with the supplier and we’ve decided to scrap that project as its delaying launching our website (already three months late) For at least this year, we’re looking to use Airtable as our operations system and set up with a two-way sync with Shopify. Has anyone used Airtable as a : lightweight WMS / production workflow layer alongside Shopify? Has anyone managed production workflows (e.g. batching, manufacturing, customisation) in Airtable? Basically we’llUse Shopify for: storefronts (each school has its own store) orders + payments Use Airtable as our operational system, to manage: order lines (each item in an order) supplier ordering goods received embroidery workflow (including batching by logo) dispatch tracking
I have a production base and a sandbox version of the same. I often accidentally mix the two if I don’t carefully look up to check that I’m in “ Sandbox” mode when I’m working fast. I’ve read you can change the color or base name e.g., “ Base (Sandbox)” vs. “ Based (Prod)” from the home screen. However when I try that I only see the main Prod base and it’s only allowing me to modify the name of the Prod base. I don’t see a separate way to modify the name of sandbox itself.Has anyone been able to manage this? and how? Thank you.
