I will start the post by saying I dislike hate this new forum. I doubt anybody will read this or because everybody is gone and this is just going to fall into the gutters of this new crapy site.Question:How can I change the date showing in the calendar slot. The time shows correct time zone but the calendar slot shows wrong time zone (I believe it is GMT time, for me minus 5 hours).I played around with time zones so I know it can get difficult to get it to work correctly but that is not the issue. The field shows correct time zone. The calendar slot is also correct.Only the bottom of the time slot shows wrong time zone. This is not my field, it seems default field shown by Airtable and I can't disable it. Not sure where comes from.
Hi - can anyone please assist me with how to 'unhide' these fields in record view? Please see image attached.I have clicked the little grey down arrow by the field title- and there is no option to unhide them and move them 'up' on the form. Many thanks
Is there a way to widen the column that might allow for 2 or 3 pics to show up as thumbnails as opposed to the +1 or +2 next to just one thumbnail? Or is there a way to edit that column to allow for addt ’l thumbnails or show?Thank you.
Background: I am creating a member database for a homeowner's association. The database has a PEOPLE table, that contains contact information, a SITE table, that contains information about the property (e.g., street address), and a Junction table, PEOPLE_SITE_ROLE, supporting the many-to-many relationship between People and Site. This junction table contains role information, such as Owner, Renter, etc.Question: I need to join the information from these three tables into a single view for reporting. It appears that Airtable Views are limited to a single table. Is that truly the case? What is needed to create this single view and support my reporting requirements?
Hello, I have a problem concerning the construction of ma database structure. I have an online marketplace where my items are assigning to categories, then subcategories. For example, I am selling a brand of white chocolate, which is the subcategory "chocolate", which is in the category "sweet products". One product is assigned to only one category and one subcategory. Each subcategory is only assigned to their related category. When I am creating a product, I would like to chose first the category "sweet product". Then, I would like when I have to chose the subcategory that only the subcategories assigned in "sweet category" appear. Do you think it is possible ? Thank you a lot !!
I have 2 tables in a base. One table has information on Children. The other table has information on the Sponsors for children. I have a field in Children table that links to the Sponsors table and allows multiple links denoting the particular sponsors of that child. Is there a way to take the sponsors from the multiple link field and put each one into their own linked field (sponsor 1, sponsor2, sponsor3, etc)? Thanks in advance for any help,Mary
Hello All.In table A I have all of my outbound communications listed. In this table there is a field called "Month Sent", this field is used to link table A & table B. Table B contains the aggregations of all the communications sent per month (Month sent, Total sends, Total opens, percentage opens, etc.). I want to show the metrics for the communications for each format type per month (i.e. email, SMS, etc.). The ideal way of doing this would be to somehow have a single select field for the format in table B which whenever changed automatically causes that record to calculate the number of communications for that format only and update the record accordingly. I know there is an option in the roll-up to add a condition, but that would mean creating a different view and roll-up condition for each format. In Google sheets, I simply had a table, combo box and if statement that read something along the lines of IF the combo box is equal to the format then add to the count.&nbs
Hi everyone,I'm currently building a rental (lending) system for my inventory and I need help tackling an issue with how I register multiple rentals on the same item. I've entered an inventory of some 150 items in one table, a lender registry in another and a project list in a third. I've made a separate table where I register loans and returns back into the inventory. Consider this a log. Here I've made a formula, where you pick who the lender is, what project they are affiliated with, and what items they are lending. When the record is submitted, it updates all items in the inventory and changes their status from in-house to unavailable or vice versa. All of that works thanks to several links, automations and formulas. However!I would like to register future loans and when they are expected to be returned. And here is where it all gets dicey. How do I register multiple dates in a timeline or gant view on the same item and line?Especially since the solution should suit
I am running an event where there are multiple participants that can participate in multiple events. I know how to link the Participants and Events tables together. However, I have a need for a view or third table that lists out each unique pairing of participant/event.Example:Person A: Event 1,2,3Person B: Event 2Person C: Event 1Final TablePerson A - Event 1Person A - Event 2Person A - Event 3Person B - Event 2Person C - Event 1This data will NOT be a one-time import. People will be added to the base regularly, events will be added as well. Signups will not be a one and done type thing.A small wrinkle: Participants, Events, and Signups will all be added to this base via forms. Additionally, using automations and forms, event staff will need to be able to edit information in the records. I know how to set that up already. What I'm looking to avoid is a participant having to fill out multiple forms to sign up for more than one event. What
Hey Airtable Community, Not sure if this is the right place to put this question, and if it isnt let me know. We currently have 150 clients in our Airtable base, all with end dates for when the service ends. I currently have a view for 30 days before a clients end date, it will populate in that view and notify their team.Does anyone know if its possible for me to have a view that would be based on Month and Year? ie, anyone with a end date in January 2023 would populate in that view? Thanks in advance
I am a newish user on a pro plan and in the 5 months i've been using Airtable i not only learned a lot but definitely have learned how to make more complicated tables and ways that our organization can use it. However, now that more of our operations and staff is on Airtable, i am also realizing that i could have built much of it differently. I know there's no way to just duplicate an entire table (along with its data, automations and interfaces) to a new base (just as another table on the same base), which makes redesigning quite complicated. Does anyone found a way around this or found a simple way? I have no problem exporting data but i also dont want to rebuild all the columns and all the automations i connected to it.... help!
Hello, I am new, and new to using airtable.I have a problem with syntax in a simple formula that is vexing me. All the field names are correctDonor Capacity = (Estimated Capacity * 0.5) + (Annual Fund Likelihood * 0.2) + (Major Gift Likelihood * 0.2) + (Philanthropy * 0.1) Thank you! RS
How can I get the Submissions Field to only show data that is related to the user AND challenge of the current record? Right now it's showing all of that user's submissions for any challenge, instead of just the submissions that go with the challenge in each record.
Hello, Our team needs to aggregate data from multiple records with shared fields, so if Record 1 and Record 2 are both located in Paris, and they have Salaries of $45,000 and $55,000 respectively, then the total spend for Paris based consultants would be $100,000. We see that grouping the records by shared fields does sum it up but doesn't entirely give us what we are looking for. The problem with the grouping is that:It automatically expands; instead of showing the values (or combined values) it just shows "Filled _" or "Unique _", and if two records have 2 dates listed we want the ability to set the primary to the earliest or oldest, or vise versa - no customization of this nature We are hoping for a simple process, to be able to just import a data file into our one working table and automatically give us this view in the least possible steps. Any ideas is appreciated!
When you are on a view, Would be great to be able to show ONLY certain kind of fileds : Exemple : dates fileds, or formula fileds, or lookup fileds.... When you have 50 to 100 fileds... would be great to filter only the type of fields you are interested in... I don't think we can do that right now... Maybe to have this function in the 'hide filed' button. Thanks in advance
I'm looking to set up a community 'borrow my stuff' library where members of my local community can add items that other people can borrow. Airtable looks promising but I can't see any way of editing permissions for records.Ideally I want 'only the creator can edit this record' permissions. I recall that Salesforce CRM had this feature..Is this doable on the free tier?
Attached is an example summary report from a budget tracker Google Sheet template I’ve used. I’m wondering if it can be easily recreated in AirTable with AT’s built-in features. Base structures would include tables for estimated expenses, actual expenses, payments made and more. Summary page would include calcs to show difference between estimated vs actual grouped by category and overall summaries as indicated. If it can’t be done easily in AT I’m back to Google Sheets.
Sorry if this is obvious, and I've just been unable to find a solution, but... Is there any way to create a PRIORITY field that changes dynamically? Imagine there are ten projects in a base, with a Priority field numbered 1-10. I now need to add an eleventh project, but this one is more urgent and has a priority of 2 on the list. Currently, I then have to manually change the old Priority 2 to a 3, 3 to a 4 and so on. Is there a way to automate this?
We have created a form where once completed, it creates a timecard. How can I add a restriction either on the form or anywhere in the system to restrict one user from creating a form/timecard under another users name?
I have a "date paid" date field that I've realized I could automate better by transitioning it to a checkmark (paid?) and a last modified date field. But when I do that I lose all the paid dates paid (which impacts other calculations throughout my table). Is there any way to get around this?
I am looking to work with clients, capturing data for their projects, I am currently set up to work within a single base for all projects, but I am considering using a base per project in Airtable. I understand there may be potential performance implications for this approach. Each base may have up to 5000 records, and I may have up to 10 - 15 projects or bases live at one time. The reason for this approach is that I am working for clients using a standard template, but fields & select options may change per requirement, and I would like to keep all projects separate for organizational purposes, it just feels cleaner. I am concerned that this approach may make Airtable laggy or unusable, or am I worrying about nothing? Has anyone taken this approach with success?I would appreciate any insights or recommendations from the community on how to effectively manage and optimize performance when working with multiple bases in Airtable.Thank you in advance for your help and advice.George
Is it possible to create a base in a workspace but only allow certain members of the workspace to view it?Same concept, but within a base...how can I create a public base but lock one of the tabs to be visible to only a few members of my workspace?
I have two Airtable Bases shared with me. I would like to remove one of those shared bases so that I do not see that base when I log into my account. Am I able to do that or can that only be done by the owner unsharing it?thanks
Hello,I am trying to set up a document revision tracker in Airtable and I am wondering the best way to go about it. The data I need to include in my tracker are Document Number, Document Name, Revision, and Date of Revision.Currently, I am working with one document table which has the fields for Document Name, Number, and then I have columns for Rev1, Date1, Rev2, Date2, Rev3, Date3, etc. Each time a document in the row is changed, I've been updating the next available Rev and Date. However, I know there must be a more innovative way to achieve this in Airtable.I also want to view this data in Bubble.io in some form and be able to view all past revisions. Can anyone help me with this?Attached is a crude google sheets version of how I used to track revision. This is the basis of what I'm afterThank you in advance for your help.
