help me please, I am designing an app that takes photos the idea is to register those photos in airtable, but I have not succeeded, someone to guide me please, the idea is to take the photo fron cellphone and save it in the database

Is it possible to use airtable form (or otherwise) to create a e-shop? I have a WIX website in which I embed my airtable forms and a square and stripe account. I don’t want to pay for any other software How would I do this? thank you for assistance!

Hi Airtable friends, I’m trying to design a calendar & job scheduling functionality into our existing airtable base. Our small company currently uses google calendar to schedule customer installations. I’m not clear on how to set up the functionality we need and hope maybe someone here can steer me in the right direction. Or show me a base that does what I’m looking to do. We have a base with contracts that include a variety of related information, with the unique customer contact information in a related table: Customers and Work Orders When we schedule a work order for installation, there are 3 possibilities: Scheduled for a single day; job is completed same day Scheduled for multiple consecutive days; example: Start work Monday, finish Wednesday - 3 day installation Scheduled for multiple non-consecutive days: Start work Monday, work Tuesday, return to finish following Wednesday.

I work on an editorial team and we are trying to track links between articles on our site. Right now I am manually adding inbound and outbound links via a “link to another record.” What I’d like to do is only add outbound links and have any article that I link to as an outbound link automatically appear as an inbound link in the appropriate record. For example, I have articles 1, and 2. I want to link to article 2 from article 1. If I add 2 into the outbound link column in article 1’s record, could I have article 1 automatically show up in the “inbound links” record in article 2?

I am trying to write a query of row number function in aws athena with 3 union queries, but my query fails stating “only one select statement allowed”. I want to recreate something like this, but using a webhook to receive information from stripe, and automatically filling up the amount received, split into the months according. The problem lies therein. The students pay in a lump sum of 8 lessons, and each lesson is, for example every Monday of the month. The students can join at any point of the month. I have a base where I have a table that is a list of product names. I have another table in the base which is a synced source of data from emails, where I have the same product names and a few other fields coming in. Basically, the goal of the exercise is to somehow indicate to the person creating a new record that the name they just created already exists in the synced table. Ideally, this would be a signal in another field on the table, such as a flag (already exists). In which direction do I need to do a linked record field? I can’t use the product name as the linked record because they may actually be creating a brand new one that doesn’t exist in the synced table, and that’s fine. How do I pull in other fields from another synced table if the record name matches the other table? I can’t figure out how to arrange my fields. I am new to Airtable and having a hard time finding solutions in other threads, so thank you in advance for any help you can provide! I have two tables: one is “Courses” and one is “Workshop Planning.” I have an automation that creates a new record in Workshop Planning every time a record is added to Courses. I fill the Workshop Planning records with tasks to be completed for each course. The Workshop Planning table is grouped by Course name in order to keep all relevant tasks together. What I would like to do is show the percent of tasks completed in the Workshop Planning table, in the Courses table. So each Course record would have a “% Completed” column that would automatically calculate as tasks are marked Complete in the Workshop Planning record. Is there a way to do this? It would be very helpful for managing our team workflow. Thanks!

Hi This one is driving me nuts. Am sure I am missing something simple. 3 x tables - Objects Crates Trucks Every object has a crate - so that is easy. Some crates contain several objects Crates are loaded onto the truck and I have a view which shows crates that are still to be loaded (If the Truck # field is empty it is not loaded) BUT!!! Some crates, which contain an object, are quite small and get packed in a bigger crate. So on my crates table, I have another linked record field, which links to itself so I can show when a small crate is packed into my big crate. So my “Loaded” view only shows the big crates that are on the truck. The smaller crates packed inside a bigger crate don’t show as being unloaded. Am sure as soon as I post this I will figure it out - but I have spent a good couple of hours so need someone cleverer than me to help! Read only link to a temp base to demons

Hi! We are a construction company and I need to create a form for what we call ‘Service Ticket’, i.e. the form should include data like job number, job name, email and phone info etc. - all of which is included in a table we named “Jobs”. The purpose of this form is to print it out once filled and hand it to the employee who will do the service work. In AirTable I have only found the form view which creates the form but the form has to be submitted (?) and it cannot be printed? Is there another way in AirTable to create a simple form that can use the data already in AirTable and be printed out? Thank you!

Is there a way to auto-number. it’s like I need GVE001 to VGE250. is there an easy way to do that?

I am not an Airtable expert, so I will explain what I am trying to do, and it may make sense to someone who can help. I am creating a base to track employee training. Monthly, I assign a program to each Employee under a field called “TO DO.” The Employee certifies they completed the program via a form that flows into my table called “Tasks” So, for each Employee, I have a “To Do” field and then a “Completed Certification” field. The form they complete cannot have any prefilled employee information in it but can have a prefilled topic (program) included. In the base, I have three tables. “Tasks” are the certifications employees complete via a form or HR entry. “Programs” are the trainings to assign. And “Employees” are the 400+ employees who need the training. Each Employee has a view (shared URL) in the “Employee” table that shows them what programs they completed and what programs are “To Do.” I have the Employees table linked to the Tasks table. I have three tables in one base. In each table, there is a Name field and a checkbox field named “Flag”. How do I create one “grid” (or interface or anything else) that lists only the record names from all three tables that have the Flag checkbox checked?

In my training base, my tables are “Tasks,” where I assign their program. The linked field, “Elink” looks at the table “Employees.” The primary field in the employee’s table is the four-digit code. I have their full name listed in a separate field. How can I see the employee’s code & name in the Elink field when I look it up in the “Tasks” table? Wendy

Hi everyone, I have a table design query in 2 parts. Firstly, I’d like to know your opinions about creating a ‘people’ table in a base - is it best if it is one table or many? For example, I have people that are: ‘students’ taking classes, ‘payees’ that might pay for those students’ classes (some students pay for their own). ‘company contacts’ who normally don’t take classes or pay (but work for companies that do pay) If I create 3 separate tables, all these 3 groups of people will require similar fields in each of those tables and a payee could also be a student themselves… also a company contact might also be a student so I think that one table would probably be better with each person marked with a different (or multiple) ‘person type category’ (in the case of students who are also payees for example). Is there any reason/advantage to keeping these different types of people in different tables? The second part is

I’ve been using airtable for about 6 months for my company. I see the power of it and am excited about getting more of my team on it so that it can truly become our operating system. I’d love to find someone who I could meet with periodically, show what I’m trying to accomplish, and then get recommendations on the best way to structure bases and get the most out of airtable. Does anyone have experience using a “coach” or would anyone in the Airtable universe be interested in acting as a coach?

When I group a table based on a single select field, it seems to position the “blank” group, i.e. the group of records with nothing selected for this field, at the top. How can I change this so that this group is instead positioned at the bottom, i.e. after the groups of records with something selected for this field?

I have a table of parts, where the key is their serial numbers. The first 8 digits of the serial are their lot number. So 1234567800001 and 1234567800002 are from the same lot. I have a formula field “LOT” that reads the left 8 digits to list that lot, and I am able to sort and bin by that in the table view. But now I am designing an interface and I want to use the lot to select those parts. I can do this with a filter, but that requires typing it in. I want a drop down where the lots are the selections. What is the best way to do this?

Hi is it possible to tell airtable to look at two fields and look it up/match the fields on a different table and return the corresponding value? For example: Looking at the first image, L5 field (Media Engineering) and the size field (s) lookup the value for “s” in another table, second image, AND for Media Engineering and return the corresponding value? In this case it should return 20%. Any suggestions welcome! Thank you!

Greetings! I’d created a formula: CONCATENATE({Month #},“-”,Month) so that grouping in my table(s) would do so since obviously April would be first in the order, etc. However, when I have it sorted in the chart, as you see, the order is, well, not what I’d expect. Any suggestions?

How do I revise this formula so that it gives me both the week # and the range of days in that week? DATETIME_FORMAT({Date to work on it},‘ww’) Also, is there a week to do a week number that doesn’t start over at the beginning of the year? I’m currently trying to create a database of insurance companies and the benefits they offer. Each benefit can be offered by several vendors, but I want to be able to have the linked “Benefits” record for a specific vendor expand to show the details specific to that Vendor. Initially, I had a column called Benefits that was a multi-select, and I selected the relevant benefits for each insurance company. When I realized I can create columns that reference other columns, I converted my multi-select column to a linked record column, and had it reference a list of benefits that I created in another table. However what I didn’t account for is that while the Benefits buttons are now clickable for each insurance company, they will all reference the same singular record. Ex: Insurance Company A, B and C all have deductibles, so each will have the “Deductibles” option under the Benefits column in their row. Hey! I manage a large, complex content planning/recording Airtable base. We have a table of content campaigns that are linked to specific deliverables records that live in their own table. Each deliverable has a unique publishing date, which means that a single campaign might have multiple publishing dates, or a campaign may not have an associated deliverable published for a long interval, but would need to be resurfaced when a new deliverable is added. Is there a way to create a calendar view that would display the content campaigns based on the dates in the linked deliverables (with the caveat that if there were multiple deliverables on the same day, the campaign would only appear once)?
