Interface Designer

Hi All,I'm currently creating an interface for my team where we can effectively manage what sprint, client, goals and tasks we are working on. I want to be able to select a sprint from a filter, as a result filter for clients that are linked to this sprint and then as a result filter for goals that are linked to the selected client and sprint. This will then display the task on a kanban view that I stack by status.I have a base with a tasks table, goals table, clients table and sprints table. In the task tables you can link the goals and this will then show the lookup for the client and sprint that goal is assigned to. Any help would be much appreciated. I've tried a few things, but fear it's just not possible ...I have a record template that takes a date input on the record, and creates child tasks in a wor-kback schedule from that date, but I can currently only apply it from the base, by right clicking on the task - A little modal window pops up and asks for the date to be input. Great stuffI have an interface where i'd like to be able to trigger this template from, but it currently throws an error if the date field is empty, as opposed to popping up the friendly date input window ... Thoughts? Annoyingly you can't trigger automations / templates from buttons displayed in lists from the 'Button' field, but you can run scripts.  The Button I've made has had to be layered in the 'record' view by clicking into it which is just another click

Hi team,Can someone help me with the following. I have abase with 10k+ records. I have created a chart, but because of the volume of data the chart shows more than I need. What I am needing is the chart to dynamically display only the top 10 values of any given variable. So if I have created a chart of the Titles I have been in contact with I only displays the top 10 titles, rather than all 100+ titles. How can this be done? Thanks for your support 

I attended the advanced app building webinar this week (shoutout to the excellent host, Jen Johnson!!) and noticed this new visualization option in interfaces: swimlanes. Is this something that is coming soon? I don't see this option available on my end as an enterprise user. Super excited if it is coming, as it looked awesome in the demo!

Background: Source table has no records, but fields have been configured. This is a blank copy from another base.Issue:  When in EDIT mode and with Creator access, Interface Layout "Record Review" does not show any page elements (page is blank) and does not allow me to add or remove elements.  I am unable to configure the interface page. I am only able to configure the "Record List".Request: Is there another way to add elements to a Record Review when the source table has no records? 

Hi all,I'm wondering if it's possible to add an option for users viewing an interface (who have access to the base too) to sort/group/reorganise fields in a grid, without having to go to the interface editor.This article seems to think so - https://support.airtable.com/docs/getting-started-with-airtable-interface-designer - but I don't seem to have those permissions on my interface editor.Thanks!

When I query the Airtable base, the image does not appear. In the Pager Design extension, the image fails to load.

Hi all, I am not sure if I am going about this the right way, so I’d appreciate some ideas. Goal: I have two tables. A “detail table” and a “main table”. The “main table” has a related list “link to another record” field to the “detailed table”. In interface designer, I am hoping to create a search that lets me find records from the “main table” and by selecting an item it lets ‘grabs’ the related list of items from the detail table. So, if I select three records from the main table, that each have 3 records in the detail table, it would show me the total of items from the detail table = 9. Appreciate any thoughts! Thank you!

Hello!I am trying to create a graph to show how many records where submitted in each month of each year, and for some reason I just can't think of a way to accomplish this.Example Jan 2020 =1, Feb 2020 = 3 .......... 12 2024 = 89, 1 2025 = 90 sorted in orderAnyone know how to do it?

I have created a blank interface where submissions that come in to the "Requests" table are used as the basis for creating records in the "Jobs" table.I've identified that the biggest potential for user error is not having the correct Job selected in the right-side dropdown. I'd like to limit the dropdown's selection to only Jobs that are linked to the Request that is selected in the left-side dropdown.Nothing I've tried so far has worked. Any ideas?

I believe this will be a fairly common request and it’s something I noticed right off the bat when designing a dashboard interface for one of my “aggregation tables” for an e-commerce store that’s being fed data from Shopify. Use Case: New Customers vs. Churned Customers in a given Cohort Year Currently, it seems I have to create two separate charts, like so… Ideally, I would like to lay these two charts “on top of each other.” They’re both drawing data from the same table, so the X-Axis is the same. The Y-Axis is just 2 different columns’ values in the same table & rows.

Heya,We have an interface where we display charts from a base. However, I am wondering if there's a possibility to adjust the data incoming from the base before it gets displayed.For example, there's a field that we need to reformat in a specific way before it gets picked up by the charts.

Hi,I went to make a new interface in the record list style and can't seem to find that as an option anymore, but my existing interfaces are fine. Is it still an option?

The example image for the new Record Review interface shows a profile photo (attachment field?) in a column, next to another column with multiple fields (team, start date, manager etc.). See screenshot.How is this layout created? This is the best I can do:How do I put the name fields and status field stacked on top of each other, next to the photo field?

Is there a way to put totals or aggregations at the bottom of (or any where for that matter) a list in Interfaces? I am not using the blank option - I'm using the Airtablke supplied ones because you cannot embed ones created from blanks into a website. They are always at the bottom of columns in the base grids. It is vey inconvenient to have to add things up with a calculator  every time Look something up. Is there an Automation that would do this?Thank, Scott

Hi everyone,I'm hoping some of these questions can be answered simply or, at the very least, passed along to the developers who might implement some of these features in the future. I'm currently on a trial of it and I represent our organization that wants to use these functionalities to build little dashboards and tools to help our teams and colleagues scattered across the country. I was recommended this service by AI, in fact, when I was asking for specific features I need. It's amazing what it can do and I'm clicking around and building things that are really going to make a difference and be useful.However, I've come across a few stumbling blocks that are quite frustrating. Unless I can find a way around them, I don't know if I can recommend using this for our organization.Firstly, there's the issue of displaying attachments/thumbnails. I had this idea of creating a records overview where users could click down the side to show different entries. I'm trying to build a vacancy datab

is there a way to get rid of that irritating warning that pops up in an interface when an action i am taking will hide the record from the view? the whole point of my action is to hide the record from my view. as it is, i have to click off of the record and select a new record to make it go away. 

Dear community, Does anyone know how I can mute this notification? I am building a check in and check out tool in interfaces, when someone has checked out, I want to have his or her name removed from the list with people who are in the building. It works perfectly, only that ugly orange message, which tells me that the changes will hide this record keeps showing up. Hiding the record is exactly what I want it to do. It would be great to have this sorted out. Thanks for helping!!

Does anyone have an idea how to create a histogram like this or a similar one, preferably one that can be scrolled?

 Hello,I built a robust CRM Base with interfaces for all the field reps in my company - everyone is using the Airtable app on their Iphones.Everything works great other than the fact that pretty much 99% of the time you cannot simply open the app and access the interface and begin editing accounts, referrals, visit logs etc. When someone opens the app, the record is un-editable, and you need to force close / re open the app to be able to start editing whatever it was you wanted to do.There isn't even a "swipe up refresh" function that many apps have - that I thought might be help.Any advice on how to mitigate this? It is super annoying for everyone.

Hi,I have a project management interface where I have a table listing all of my projects and then another table for tasks.  On the task table, there is a link to the project table.  I have created an interface using kanban that shows the tasks by priority (high, medium, low).  In the interface, I allow the linking of the task to the project table.  When I click the plus signal, it only shows me the first three fields from the project table.  Is there a way to modify what fields show on the "linking" screen that pops up?Thanks,Kevin

In our base, there are about 10 people from 4 different departments. They are all editors, and we're on the business tier. We've started to build quite a lot of interfaces, and it's starting to get a little crowded. I wonder if it's possible to only have certain people able to see and access certain interfaces?The documentation alludes to the possibility of sharing the interface. However, I can't get it to work, as anyone seems to be able to see and access all the build and published interfaces with or without sharing. Is it possible to restrict access to certain interfaces if they are base collaborators? if so how do I do it?
