Interface Designer

Hey guys, I have been seeing this “field color” option on list and grid elements in interfaces. Was wondering if anyone knows how it works? The pop out asks for field configurations, but I have yet to have a field that matches whatever configuration it’s looking for. Is this something up coming or am I just using it wrong? Let me know.  Thanks!

How do I choose a specific color for a specific field on a bar chart?  For example, Medical should be Blue and Industrial should be Green:   

Hi -  I’m building a project and resource management AirTable for an agency. As a part of this I’d like to be able to show scoped hours against actual worked hours per person per project. As an agency that frequently has a variety of different people working on a variety of projects there has to be some flexibility built into this.  Setting up a scoped hour table per project is simple. Having actual hours that the team enter in rollup  filter by project is easy. Having actual hours filter by person is easy. The issue is filtering by both teammate and project.  Thank you for any help!  

The new feature shown here is not working for my interfaces. Is it not yet released to all?  

Hi there!I've been playing with the Utilization summary grouped by Assignee in the Project Management template and am trying to figure out if there is a task that is assigned to multiple users show up in each users field and have the time spilt evenly.I see that you can have the time split evenly in the properties settings but when a task has multiple users it shows as a task in whatever the combination of users is because I've grouped by User. I'd rather see the task in both users individual grouping with time split equal.Any one run into this and have a solution?

The persistent comments panel on the right side of the Interface Designer can be distracting and takes up valuable screen space—especially when working with detailed layouts or limited screen real estate. It would be great to have the option to collapse or hide this panel to improve focus and design flexibility without needing to disable the feature.Would love to see this added to enhance the usability of the interface builder.Thanks!

I would love to see the overview interface be able to be shared publicly.  I have a base with multiple tables.  I use the data to share different information with clients in a read only format.  Currently I have to create an interface for each table and share that each one individually.  I would love to use the overview interface be available for public sharing so I can link each tables interface page to that and just share that one page.

I have created a gallery style interface with research data I share with read-only collaborators.  The base includes a URL field with links to source information. This link is included in the interface, but is not visible to my collaborators.  I’ve tried converting it to a single line text and to a formula and removed the https:\\ so it is no longer a link.    I’m using the free plan.  Any help greatly appreciated. 

Bonjour la Communauté, J’ai crée une appli pour un club sportif en prenant garde à choisir des interfaces “Ordinateurs” et “Mobiles” notamment au niveau des interfaces de types Galerie.Big problème : les boutons de mon interface ne s’affiche pas sur les mobiles alors qu’ils sont sur les navigateurs web.Aucun paramètres ne permet de corriger ce problème à ma connaissance.Donc je viens chercher des infos et de l’aide.Vue depuis le navigateur web vs Vue Mobile  Donc comment faire pour voir mon bouton ????Je n’ai pas de solution de contournement car dans ce bouton je pointe sur l’url d’un formulaire public adressé à des utilisateurs “Visiteurs” qui n’ont donc pas accès à la base mais peuvent grâce à ce formulaire retourner des données pour l’alimenter.Mer

Hi, I am creating an interface and I Airtable just dropped me into a view of the interface designer where I could easily duplicate and rearrange user filters. However, now I can’t find that particular view anymore. Where can I easily duplicate user filters. Reason why I want this is because I want to add a tab for every month. And otherwise I have to manually add each tab with 2 filters in it. 

I have an interface with a list layout. I was under the impression that when you searched the list it would search every visible column? However when I search for fx “1073” it says there is nothing despite it being in my list?Is this a bug, or is it me who is getting it the wrong way? Search says there is no recordsRecords are there 

I’m trying to make a button in my interface that will update a date field to today, but it looks like buttons can only update fields to be a specific, pre-determined date. I wish the function was there to add relative dates like today, yesterday, a week from now, etc.

I’m working with a list layout interface. I’ve toggled the option on for users to filter, but the dropdown is not offering me all fields, only a (unknown what) selection. (Sorry for huge images, I still can’t figure out how to resize.) The field I’m looking for is called © Email. It’s a single line text field and it is the primary field in table. Instead I can only some other fields with email in the name. Is this an Airtable limitation or am I don’t something wrong? I can’t find documentation on it. Thanks. 

Interface viewable on mobile, when is this happening???

Hey Everyone! I’m working on custom building a dashboard for our institution that will track student milestones not only while they are in school but beyond. The way I’ve build or database, we have 4 tabs. Activity, People, Ventures and Events. Activity being the catch-all for any thing that has happened in the other 3 tabs. Anyways, what my goal is is to build a record review that looks like the salesforce education cloud that can display milestones that the student has accomplished like the photo below. Does anyone have any experience with this? I really like the way the Life events looks specifically and obviously I’m flexible, but it would be a cool feature for us.  

Hello!  TIA for any help!  I'm creating a base for Donor Management and have run into a challenge.  I'm building an interface for Fundraising Campaign tracking.  The main Interface is a Record View layout.  Potential donors are loaded into a table and then viewed via this Interface.  When you click on a potential donor, it loads their contact information and the tracking data below it, as you can see in this screenshot.  *I've removed the sensitive data! Because the potential donors are linked into the campaigns, all their contact information is not editable in this Interface.  I'm generally okay with that, but I'd like to include a button that would let users open a donor's page for editing, possibly using the Contacts Interface you can see in the menu bar at the top.  Is there a way to create a link that would so

The client has access permission, so that he can enter and edit data, but he constantly accidentally adds values ​​to the field settings, every time he types a value that does not exist in the list that is set for selection, it automatically adds a new value.Something I do not want to happen

Hi,Does anybody know why the comment section in Airtable interface is not loading/ working properly? This has been happening in multiple bases since a couple of weeks and I'm wondering if there is a fix for this bug.  Thanks!

I want to add custom color to my base. But I can see the 30 colors for my plan. Is that possible to add custom colors?And one more thing is I'm unable to apply colors to the button for the interface workflow template. Is it possible to add colors to the fields and buttons?When I create a new blank interface, I can add colors to buttons and some background colors to some elements the same does not apply to the workflow template.Please guide me on this to achieve my requirements.I appreciate any help you can provide.

I'm encountering an issue today with the Airtable interface. When I try to add a chart, table, etc., by clicking on the plus sign, nothing happens. Do you have any ideas about the source of the problem? I don't think I've exceeded the limit of 50 pages per interface, as I have deleted some content, yet the issue persists.

Is it possible to add groups to combine elements when starting from a blank interface?  I have groups when starting from a dashboard, but I’d like to be able to add them to a blank interface.

Hi,i’m trying to create an Interface → Dashbord.Got the pivot table. I set option: “Click to see underlying records”, bo absolutely i don't know how to edit what info is shown in this list (i don’t mean “Click into record details” - detailed info is working fine).I would be gamechanging option for me, but i need to set different info on this list to correctly and fast identify entries.  

I’m using a 2 level hierarchy. I added color based on a condition but its acting on the child records, not the parent records. Is there any way to do this?

Have built 4 tables to collect inventory information on our fire department’s truck inventory.Tables:cabinets i.e. E-211 Cab. #1 items i.e. 2 1/2” Brass Male to Male Coupler inventory: list and # of item in each cabinet archive inventory: because the governing body wants it.I am trying to create this using Interfaces. What I am trying to do is use a Record Review template that has the cabinets in the left pane and the inventory items for each cabinet in the right pane. I have been successful in that. I have a working Inventory Interface page. The item list is complete (2,501 items). The Cabinet list is complete (65 cabinets).Truck Captains will use an iPad to open Airtable to the Inventory interface and choose one of the truck/cabinets they are responsible for from the left hand list and check off the inventory items they find. If they find an item missing or the quantity less than that listed they will enter that num

We have a form in Airtable for our app's affiliate program. When users search Google for "Airtable affiliate," our form appears as the top result.Although our form isn't related to Airtable's affiliate program, people don't read carefully and we are getting unrelated and confused applicants daily...I think updating the SEO meta title and description would reduce irrelevant clicks.
