I’m looking at building an interface to streamline inputting some information but before I think about redesigning my current database I just want to check if it’s possible to create an interface that would allow information to be updated across multiple tables?Even more complicated, would it be possible for the interface to react live to automations? To try to give a bit of context I want to have a contract table where the top line contract information is kept - as part of this an automation creates different versions of a product linked to that contract in an editions table…Could an interface handle me entering the contract detail and then have the editions appear ready to be edited?
I have an interface - created as a blank interface, and I am using an existing table to enter the info. How do I go about printing this? What I really need is a clear place for me to click into a record and see all the info at once - like a PDF (I should be able to design it, very specifically), I should be able to switch between records very easily, and print easily and neatly. Any ideas?
Hello,We are using Airtable to replace ClickUp and we started to play around with the interface. As we use it as a task management, how we can enable the bulk edit to change multiple tasks dates in the interface view ? thanks
I was having a problem to share record view for just one record in my airtable. Then I just shared all recordview to my external users. Now because they are opening my shareable view from mobile apps they can not see the right side of the recordview. How can I solve my problem ? I am open to any suggestions. Recrod View is not necessary but I just need to be able to share my record to external users to fill some places in my record (Not creating record, updateing record)
Hi Airtable team,I’m writing because I noticed a recent change in the way linked-record fields behave inside Interfaces, specifically in grid/table components.Until this week, it was possible to enter data extremely efficiently by simply clicking on the empty row and typing the first letters of a linked record. The matching record would appear instantly, without having to open the dropdown first. This made data entry much faster, especially when pasting or entering multiple records in a row.Since the latest update, it is no longer possible to type directly into the cell to trigger autocomplete. We now must click to open the dropdown and then manually search inside it. This significantly slows down workflows for users who rely on Interfaces for rapid data entry. For many of us who use Interfaces as our primary workspace — especially those handling large volumes of records daily — this change has a major negative impact on productivity.Could you please consider restoring the previous inli
Hello Airtable users,Did I miss something? Up until now, the button that allowed deleting a record was located in the dropdown menu. However, it doesn’t seem to work there anymore. It only triggers if I remove it from the dropdown and place it directly on the main page.
HELP!When I’m in the specific Events tab that my web-integrated interface pulls from, I see all the information I’ve selected to display by customizing the labels. However, when I copy embed code and plop into to the HTML editor on my webpage, this is all I get: What the heck am I missing?????
I’m perplexed as to why buttons created in the data view cannot yet work in Interface view. How has this not been worked out?
Hi everyone,I’m on an Enterprise Scale Airtable account and running into a consistent issue in Interface Designer when trying to build a simple cascading filter workflow. My goal:Users should select a Production first, then see only the Generators linked to that Production in a Record Picker (for a Daily Log interface). The problem: When I add a Record Picker and try to create a condition like Where Production Name is [Value], the Static / Dynamic toggle never appears. I can’t link the Record Picker to a Filter or any other element dynamically. When I add a List, the right panel only shows “+ Create new field”, not “+ Add element”, so I can’t embed a button or any other input inside list items. When I add a Filter, I get “No filterable elements to connect” unless a List or Grid is already on the page, and even then, I can’t connect that filter dynamically to the Record Picker. Environment details: Plan: Enterprise Scale (Apple Studios workspace) Interface Designer version: curren
Hello, I have run into a issue where a date field with time is adding an extra day to a timeline view. Here’s what I’m working with:Using a timeline for Resource Management Utilization Applied Summarize Utilization Using Available Hours Using Account for Time off The Start and End Date fields on the Timeline Date Fields and the Time Off Date Fields include time. What I’m seeing:When an End Date on Time Off is set to any other time then 12:00am it marks the following day as also being Time Off (OOO). I’ve tired every setting we have on the timeline view to fix this and nothing works. It makes absolutely no sense as to why it added an extra day. Does anyone have a fix for this or Airtable devs, can you please fix this? Thanks!
Hello,I would like to ask if there is any way how to block some days in calendar. For example due to vacation. I cannot either find a way how to block the morning, and let the customers choose only from the afternoon time without writing it into notes “Don’t book meeting earlier than 2 PM” Thank you
I have a layout in Interface with 13 different fields. After publishing and tabbing through the fields it doesn’t follow the expected path. How can you change the tab order of the fields?
Hi,I’m building a weekly service planner in the new Airtable Interface (Calendar element). My setup uses: Pradžios laikas (Start date/time) – editable date field Pabaigos laikas (skaičiuojamas) (End date/time) – a computed formula field The interface does not allow dragging or even showing the computed end date properly. Also, I cannot find any option to limit visible working hours (e.g. 08:00–18:00) — the calendar always displays 24h. My goal: Display a weekly calendar (for 5–6 working days) Show jobs only between 08:00–18:00 Allow visualization using a computed end date Is there any current workaround or plan to bring back these settings to the new Interface Designer? Screenshots attached (showing the “computed field” restriction message and 24h timeline). Thanks in advance for your help!If this behavior is expected in the new Interface Designer, could you please confirm whether support for computed End Date fields and configurable working-hour ranges (e.g. 08:00–18:00) is pla
Seems like the most obvious functionality, can’t believe I had to query help pages to find out how to do this.
We have an interface where previously (before UI change) we were able to apply a filter to limit the data that was shown but now when you try to add a condition it just shows the hover “Cannot filter on fields”
I have a Single Select field field that I want to allow users to be able to add new options too when they are in Create Form interface. Since this is not possible, are there any workarounds/alternative designs that anyone has used?My thoughts:1. Using Linked Record is also not possible, since it doesn't allow new record creation from the Create Form interface. 2. Using a text field and then automating creation of the option in Single select also is not possible since I believe it doesn't allow update of the Single Select options through "Run Script" in automation?
Hi everyone,I’ve created an interface that includes a list view (see screenshot). This list shows devices (inventory items) that are linked to a construction site record. Adding a new device works perfectly – I can use the “Gerät hinzufügen” button to select an existing record and link it to the construction site.On desktop, removing the link also works fine: I can right-click on a row and choose “Unlink record”, which removes the connection between the construction site and the device. However, on the mobile version of Airtable (the app), I can’t find any way to remove that link. Long-pressing, context menus, or any other gestures don’t seem to offer that option. My question:Is there any way to allow unlinking records in a list view on mobile – maybe through an alternative view, a button, or an automation? Or is this simply not supported yet in the Airtable mobile app?The list view layout works perfectly for my use case, so I’d prefer to keep it – I just need a way for users to unlink d
I need to create an interface of a table’s data. It needs to have pages of “cells” that are shown in 3 columns and 10 rows. Each cell has 4 rows (one column) of data, some with labels. For example: First Last First Last First Last Date: 10/02/25 Date: 10/02/25 Date: 10/03/25 Score: 100 Score: 100 Score: 100 Distance: 1000 Distance: 1000 Distance: 1000 Ultimately, I’m hoping to be able to print the grid on Avery labels. Is this possible?
As I create Interfaces for my database, I noticed that my record selector box for my source table, always defaults to the earliest record. I need it to appear blank, when I first open the table's Interface. Is there a setting that I need to change, or is an "unwanted" feature of the Airtable Interface?
Hi everyone,I’m trying to create a line chart in Interface Designer that shows interest rates over time. My table structure is simple: Date (date field) Rate (percentage field) Type (single select) In the chart settings: I use Date for the X-axis, Rate for the Y-axis, And I apply a filter so that only records with a certain value in the Type field appear. However, I noticed that Airtable automatically applies an aggregation (e.g., average, sum, etc.) to the Y-axis values, and I can’t find a way to set it to “none.”Since each date in my table corresponds to exactly one record (no duplicates), I’d like the chart to simply plot the rate as-is, without aggregation. Is there a way to disable aggregation or make the chart use raw values for each record instead of aggregating them? Thanks in advance!
Hi Airtable community,I work for a non-profit and we’ve decided to use Airtable for our operations. I have limited experience with Airtable but need to get this set up.I’m building a dashboard to manage: Employee Dashboard HR Management Employee Onboarding & Offboarding Leave Management Procurement Management Artwork Dashboard Patron Management I’ve prepared a 14-page spec detailing the integrations, workflows, and automations we need.Since I’m on the Team plan, I don’t have access to dedicated consulting. I’m looking for guidance on: How to integrate multiple bases efficiently Automations or workflows that are possible within Team plan limits. I’m happy to share the spec so someone can provide step-by-step advice or examples. I don’t have technical expertise, so plain-English explanations would be very helpful. If you’re able to help or provide guidance, please feel free to reply here or contact me directly at [your work email]. Any support or pointers would be greatl
I created a dashboard with interface designer, containing mostly number elements with the % complete of different categories; when I expand this, I get a list of records in the category, as expected. Great ! But this works only as it should be on the desktop client and also on the iPad client. But not on iPhone !? On iPhone, every Number element on the dashboard I expand, I always get the message “No records yet” ?I don’t understand this… is there really such a big functional difference between the iPad client and the iPhone client ?
hello,How can I create an interface from an Airtable list view?
I’m currently editing a list interface, and under “appearance” there is the normal record coloring, and then there is something called “field text color:” Does anyone know what this is and how to use it?I’ve attached a photo of what I’m talking about
