Having a few issues with new dashboards...Is there a way to not use a list, but instead use a grid layout for data on a dashboard? List view, especially here where you can not do levels, is useless. Is there a way to edit records in-line in the dashboard? no matter what I do, I can't seem to make it editable and have to expand each record individually. Not really working for our flow. ps... any news of Record List moving to the new upgraded interface versions?
Hi guysThis community is great by the way. Thanks for everyone here! I have a record list but all the groups need to be collapsed manually, and given that I have >200 groups this is not practical. I can’t right click on it (that’s perhaps only in “list” interfaces -- I’m in the “Record List”) Thanks for your help - I’m happy to sign a petition to implement this as Record List is a nice view Soeren
I created an interface with two pages, and one is not showing the information to the viewers. They are getting an error that says "Cannot access this data."Other details...There are two pages in the interface --- one is a list, and one is a record detail page that only allows them to see their own record. They are all able to see their own record, but the list won't show up. The "Users can see" is set to "Specific records" and has one condition on it (status field = active). When I preview the page as the viewers, I'm able to see everything. What am I missing?
Hi all, as of today CTRL-F is not opening a search bar within a grid on my interface page. I use this feature maybe 100 times a day and its a big part of my workflow.I rebooted, signed in/out, tried a different web browser, no luck. This is hugely disruptive and I’m not particularly interested in creating a new interface list page with the native search feature. There are other elements on my original page that I reference ALL the time that won’t be visible with a dedicated list. Anyone else run into this and find a solution? I submitted a ticket with support and they’ll get back to me in 1 to 2 days….
Hi. I´m facing a little problem here. I need to get an iframe from an interface to embed it on my wordpress site, but i realised Airtable is no longer allowing this. Is there anyway to achieve so??? Thanks in advance
When making a list with three hierarchy levels and adding dropdown filters they don’t seem to work. When making lists of two hierarchy levels on the same base the filters do work. Is there something I’m missing or is there a bug? Thanks in advance!
Hi there, I have a question about option selection, the parent record is “Joan” and linked record buddy “KK”, I want to filter out all linked record under “Joan” instead of selecting “All buddies”. The filter has no choice of “Client” is [Current Client], is there any way to solve it?
Goal: From a Cases Interface (Kanban + record detail), I want a button that opens an Interface Form (Activities)already prefilled with Case = current record (and optionally Patient = the Case’s linked patient). I also need two shortcuts that open the form with Contrato firmado (tmp) or Tratamiento completado (tmp) already checked. What I tried: A button inside the record detail block → action Go to interface page (Activities form). Issue: I don’t see the “Initial values” / “Use record from …” section at all; only Visibility (premium)shows up. I made sure the button is in the body of the detail, not the header action. Same result: no “Initial values”. Go to external URL action: in my UI I can only type a fixed URL; I cannot insert field values. Questions: How can I enable “Initial values” / “Use record from …” on an Interface button inside a record detail block to pass the current record to an Interface Form? Are there known limitations when the button sits inside a Group withi
I’m trying to upload an image to a Form but both in the Logo and Cover Image the upload fails. I’ve tried different files but get the same result. ThanksDonald
I’m currently on the Team Plan and building a survey using Interface Forms. However, I encountered an issue where I can no longer add more elements. The error message says:“Your change was reverted because your interface is too big. Try deleting some elements.”My form currently has 249 elements, and all of them are required for the survey — so deleting any of them isn’t an option.May I ask if there’s a way to increase the element limit or an alternative solution to accommodate more questions within the same Interface Form?Thank you in advance for your help!Best regards!
Different Interfaces and Button functionality is messing with my head. Can someone help me please. The Interface “SUB QR Management & Generation” using a Blank page view seems to be one closest view that meets my needs the most. This is what the outcome needs are:1. Once all the Trades and Subs have been allocated for each Job within a Project, I want to generate QRs (Quote Requests) for the whole Project with one button click.2. I then want to be able to view all the QRs by Sub (with their Jobs listed, grouped by Trade) as a double-check that the QRs per Sub are correct.3. I then want to generate QR PDFs (using DocsAutomator) both by Project and individual QRs with another button.4. And finally I want to email the PDF to the Sub (individually Sub by Sub) with another button.5. This is all normally done in one sitting so I would ideally want the whole process to be on one Interface page or any solution that doesn’t require me to keep on selecting the Project again. I have someone who is set as an editor, but she doesn’t have the ability to edit the form associated with the base and can’t delete columns from the base. These seem like some basic functions and editor should have and I’m trying to figure out if I did something wrong or if creators/admin would be the only ones to be able to do those sorts of edits. It may have been this way all along and I just never realized it until yesterday.
I have a few collaborators that have editor access, but keep getting an error message stating “You are not permitted to perform this operation” when trying to submit a form that creates a record. They can update records without any issue, but I can’t seem to get it so they can create new records. This is through a form in an interface, but I can’t find anything that would prevent them from submitting the form. There are no restrictions within the form itself that I see. I’ve checked that they have Editor access to the specific interface, there is nothing on the interface page with the form that would allow me to make any restrictions, and I’ve confirmed the table where the record is being create allows for collaborators with editor access to create new records. I then created it as a separate form, not within the interface and the only way we could get it to work was to open the access to anyone, which we don’t want. Can someone point me to what I’m missing or should be doing diffe
Hello,I am creating a management system for tracking the required materials for projects. In each project, there will be predefined material quantities needed to complete the project. When the work on a project starts, the user will generate a Purchase Order (PO) (third table) and add multiple materials through the interface. I need some help in creating this interface. The base design is as follows:I have two base tables. The first one is called the Master Material Base, and the second base is called Jupiter Castle. The structure for the Master Material Base consists of one table called the Master Material Table, which contains four fields: code, description, type, and unit. I have granted permission to share and sync this table with other basesIn the second base, Jupiter Castle, I have the following design:(First table): I have synced the Master Material Table into this base.(Second table): I have created a new table called Material Tracker, which contains the following fields:Line ID
Good morning,we get this error since an hour on our interface designer extension ‘Sorry, an error occurred’.No further information.Any ideas, what we can do? Thanks for your help.Tobi
Is anyone aware of eitherA way to HIDE this on interfaces? It is not a good look when providing access to outside parties that this was edited by AI etc. or to have these blank boxes in interfaces. If Airtable plans to get rid of that in general? If no plans to hide that commentary, I need to adjust my layouts :)
Hello,I'm wondering if it's possible to get a pivot view in Airtable similar to those in Excel and Google Sheets that would show multiple values at once, e.g., the sum of the values along with the share of the total and the percentage change year-over-year. Like in the example below. Many thanks for help
Hi everyone. I have built a database of car images that dynamically filters models down to by the make selected, the trim by the model selected, and so on. When I build out an interface the dynamic filtering functionality works as intended (if I select Audi in my dropdown on the interface, when I select my model filter it is automatically limited to Audi models.) However, my issue begins when I share the interface. Currently I’m sharing the interface to the web with password access. My team will handle the updating of the interface, and other members of my organization will need to reference the data on a read-only basis. However, when I send out the share link the dynamic filtering functionality of my drop down no longer function in the same way. If I select the make Audi, the models no longer filter down to Audi models. Is there some setting that I’m missing to enable dynamic filtering on a shared interface?
Here’s the scenario: I have a long text field (called ‘Email Draft with Placeholder’), and a formula field (called ‘Email Draft’) where I’m replacing a few placeholder key using REGEXREPLACE.I’m then displaying ‘Email Draft’ in a Record Review in the Interface. Here, it displays as expected, maintaining the new line breaks. If you copy that text (by dragging across it and CMD+C), and paste it into a Gmail new email, it all still looks good. But if I send the email, and look at what was sent, all the new lines are gone! 😱I’d be really grateful if anyone could explain what’s going on here, and how I can fix it!
I’ve created a Shopify PIM template for e-com brands. In this template, you can find:A global dashboard with products distribution (Categories, Sales Channels, Region Catalogs...) Products catalog: a classic products catalog with an interface to easily update one or multiples products at the same time. Inventory: interfaces to manage your inventory (per location, low stock levels...). Monitoring center: to easily track last updates and missing data.Connection between Airtable and Shopify is made by SyncBase. It’s a two-way sync integration so all changes made on this Airtable PIM can sync to your Shopify store in a few seconds.Just drop a message if you want to get this template for free! All I’m asking is feedback :D
Hi,I’m a newbie and was wondering what affects the fields listed in the field selection of interface Levels. I currently have only 1 field I can choose from, where the table actually contains a number of fields. What do I need to do to be able to choose a different field?
I’m building a simple dashboard for our executive team that includes a Number element for a currency field. The dashboard needs to work well on mobile because our execs often access it while traveling internationally. On desktop, the number element displays correctly with thousands separators (e.g., $1,284,428,043.95). However, on mobile, the formatting disappears and shows as a long unformatted number (e.g., $1284428043.95), which is hard to read. The number element is set to Summary → Sum. It’s aggregating a rollup field from another table, which is formatted as currency. The thousands separator appears fine on desktop but not on mobile. How can I get the thousands separator (comma) to appear on mobile for this number element? Is this a limitation of Airtable Interfaces on mobile, or is there a workaround? Thanks!
Hi chat, My coworkers are running into issues with the filters for their interface. They are finding that they're interface filters are resetting frequently throughout the day. Filtering is critical for our workflow and often when they're viewing their pages, it will remove their last filter. Has anyone experienced anything similar?Specific issues:Filters clear without user action. In other cases, filters revert to an old or unexpected state. For example: Our team commonly filters on the Assignee field. Most of the day, users apply Assignee = Themselves (10+ times per day). Occasionally, they apply Assignee = A Coworker (1–2 times per day). However, the Interface will often revert to the less frequently used filter (Assignee = Coworker) as the default, even when that filter has not been recently applied. What's been confirmed/tested:The issue affects multiple users across the same Interface. Users remain on a single Interface page and are not navigating between other pages within the In
Hi there, I’ve created a pie chart in my dashboard interface, and I selected a field to group records by (Gross Margin %). It seems to work well, but it sometimes displays multiples of the same value as separate slices (see multiple 14% and 40% in the legend below). Is this a bug, or am I missing something in the chart setup? I’m really confused why the same value wouldn’t group together automatically. This is what my setup looks like: If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears! Thanks so much :)
Hi AirTable Community, I have a commercial dry cleaning and laundry business. I’m trying to create an Airtable app that will let my clients share an itemised list of the garments they’re sending me for cleaning each day. I’d like to create an interface with a form at the top, that lets the client enter each item for cleaning with relevant detail, then a table directly below which lists each item, so they can see a summary of the data they’re inputting in real time. I’m confident about designing each element, but can’t figure out if/how I can put them on the same interface. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!
