Interface Designer

Hello!I am hoping someone can help. I am trying to create an order entry/invoice database where I can track customers, products offered, sales, contracts with vendors, etc. My main priority right now is tracking product sales by unit/# of customers. I have a database set up right now with the basic - Product, Customers, Line Items (customers can order multiples products and qtys of each), and invoice tab to generate the invoice number and collect data to use for the page designer extension so I can send a PDF invoice with the data stored in airtable. I followed one of GAP consulting's videos to set it up. The issue I have is there is no streamlined way to set this up for ease of use. BC the data is stored across multiple tables you need to go to each table in a specific order to enter the data. It is not intuitive for the person I am setting this database up for. I tried to use forms to make it easier, however, to enter a new order you need to go to multiple forms in order to

Hi All,we keep getting the error message “Invalid permissions” on the Airtable app on Android phones when trying to view our Interfaces. Everything worked just fine for months. The users on the phones do have access to the Interfaces, as per our settings.Weirdly, the error can be circumvented when accessing the same Interface through a direct link that we click from outside the Airtable app. We re-started the phone, cleared the cache, uninstalled&installed the app. None of those helped.Has anyone experienced this before and is there a recommended solution?  

Hello all, Basically I have a form to link working units and owners: For some reason the “+” button on the Owner side is displaying “Add unit” and I can’t figure out how to change it to something more accurate (Add robot). Do I need to rebuild the table and change the name of how I will call each record? Secondly, I just noticed (probably I did it in the past but I forgot to follow it up) that the visibility of the fields is limited once I applied a filterIn other words, with this setup…  As soon as I enter parameters on the “filter”, I see “0 visible fields” on the fields option. I have a main table with records, and linked tables with linked records, they are readable using an interface. I want to enable independend Airtable users to select specific records from those tables, to export or print that selection. They need to be able to do this independently, so one user should be able to select records without those records also being selected for another user. 

Hi All,there is an issue for some users I invited to use my interface. An error message pops up for them when clicking in one of the tabs. They are all read only users with NO access to the base. That specific tab is created using the new interface templates, where you can switch between views: list or gallery. Error message:An error has occurredSorry, your request conflicted with another change.Thank you in advance!

While building a custom interface in Airtable, I wanted to display smaller images—something like a profile picture in a small circle. But I noticed there’s no way to resize the image component. It either shows up full-size or doesn't fit the layout the way I want.Is there any possible way?

Hi all -- I’m see a number of functional bugs in my dashboard interfaces, including “ghost” so-call “element” data sources, as well as disappearance of linked field dynamic filtering for dropdowns. It was working fine before the roll-out came to me today, but it’s been a bit catty-wompus ever since. Am I the only one? Bueller?

Hey AT brains trust, I'm at my wits end attempting to get this interface to simply filter to show me my un-approved expenses. This is for our Base to manage all org expenses, which each FY I duplicate, turn old automations off and new ones on, rename to current FY, recolour and a little bit of renaming inbudget areas. An interface we rely heavily on is sending me this error message.The field is single select and has not changed The filter is specific and again very simple, we want to see unapproved expensesI have copied the field and used that, I have duplicated the base, I have reentered the filters and have had no luck and am losing my brain. The previous FY still works but nothing has changed in this area.Please help

The decision to lock the Visibility function of fields in interfaces to business accounts is unfortunate. Of all the upgrades that going from Teams to Business grants, this is the most arbitrary one. The ability to turn off fields is a simple quality of life function that no one is going to be upgrading to get, it's a punitive measure against those of us who are not as well funded.The poorest organizations using teams are also those that typically will most need the Visibility function in interfaces. They will generally have the lower paid or more transient staff that turning off fields and buttons will prove most crucial for.Case in point, non-profits will often have volunteers who can greatly benefit from not being able to see or interact with functions until other steps have been taken or not taken. I'm working on a few projects that are using a gallery view, one of which is a publicly shared interface. I'm excited about the changes, but have a question about one of the new features. My users have noted the change immediately of getting the expanded image rather than going to the record detail. Does anyone know of a way to turn off this feature?Thank you!

Is it possible to add the button on my detail page to the actual interface List view? Rather than having a user click into the record detail page, I’d like them to just be able to click the button and trigger updates within the List View on the interface page.

Hi Airtable team 👋  I'm building a master fulfilment dashboard using Interface Designer, based on a table (Partner KPI's) where each record represents daily performance data per partner.One of the most important metrics I want to track is:Cost per Scheduled Consultation = Ad Spend / Number of Consultations ScheduledRight now, this is calculated per day via a formula field on each record. ❌ Problem 1: The dashboard shows an average of the per-record ratiosWhen I display this KPI on an interface, Airtable averages the daily cost-per-consultation values instead of calculating:Total Ad Spend for selected period / Total Scheduled Consultations for selected periodThis leads to completely misleading values, especially if some days have very few or zero consultations, which massively skews the average. ❌ Problem 2: No support for weighted averages or cross-record ratio KPIsI need to be able to calculate

Hello everyone,I’m trying to replicate a process I set up a year ago that is working well.  I have a formula that opens a form for a responses table that automatically links it to the main table.  The formula uses the form address and prefill, with the record id of the main table record.  When I open one of those links it works perfectly. It is not editable, but shows the linked record information.I’m trying to replicate it on a new base, but the same prefill option isn’t bringing up anything unless I make the group editable and then anyone with the form would be able to see all our records. Here are the differences I can spot, but I don’t know how to make them match:In my working form I see this in the group settings

Hello, I am wondering if I stumbled upon a bug, or if this is a setup error or limitation of some kind: I have a dashboard interface with a pivot table, and while it looks great on desktop, it shows up on the mobile view, but missing some key elements - the labels for all columns and rows display as “(Empty)” even though on desktop those values show up just fine. Any ideas why that is?  My only guess is that maybe it’s because the fields I’ve chosen are not supported somehow? I’m using a lookup of a single-select value, maybe that’s the issue? Any ideas or fixes welcome. Thanks so much!

I already made a dupe and its still the same. I tried to revert to yesterday’s version and the old form worked. But Im trying to find out the difference on the settings and visibility, there’s no difference. Im just confused.. another problem is that we sent out this form to plenty of people already that doesnt work.. Can anyone help me please?

Hi! I have some pivots in Excel that I’m attempting to re-create in Airtable. It has multi-level categories in the rows (Region, Country) and then 4 different metrics that I convert to a %. (In Progress, Successfully Completed, Previous Week Successfully Completed, and Increase Amount) I have all of the line-detailed data that you’d need to get this in Excel (Record ID, Region, Country, and binary 1/0 for In Progress, Successfully Completed, Previous Week Successfully Completed, and Increase Amount.)  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to replicate this in Airtable and then add it to an interface. The closest I’ve been able to get is a grouped view of the data that I show as a grid and then removing the “0”s and changing the values of those metrics to be % Filled. This is almost fine, but it doesn’t stay grouped and expands too much. Is there a better way to do this? 

Hi all, I already know Airtable doesnt allow you to share interfaces with non-users (not a good move, Airtable!) but i'm trying to not give up on the beautiful dashboards i made.Other than taking a screenshot, are there any extensions/third-party tools that i can use to share my dashboards with others that are not on Airtable? We want to share it with our board, funders, etc.

A quick question - I have a KanBan view, with a ‘Month’ field as the stacking field: JAN 24, Feb 24, Mar 24 …. etc.I want to be able to filter down my Kanban view, to just show recent activity, eg) 2025, but filtering the corresponding records for the view leaves the empty stacks in place. I know I can use the ‘hide empty stacks’ toggle, but it will hide any recent, relevant empty month stacks that I may want to use, and not just those in the past (2024, etc.) Any ideas?

Hi all,I am desigining an interface and using newly released Portals add-on of Airtable to share the interface with guest users.While the login is working fine, the base name, notification and profile buttons are still visible on the interface. Ideally for whitelabelling, these options should be removed.Note: I am on Team plan

I tried posting this question previously but I don't see it posted, so apologies if it appears twice.I have a simple database with two tables, each of which has a few fields.I want to create an interface that shows different list views of one table based on different filter criteria chosen through tabs.I created an interface with eight tabs on one page and was able to configure the filter criteria for each tab. It works fine in the edit mode.When I preview or publish it, only five of the tabs are visible. I thought that it might be there's a limit on the number of tabs on any page, or the length of their names, however when I tried rearranging or renaming the tabs to shorten names the behavior was the same. Only the five originally visible tabs appear, whatever I name them and in whatever order I arrange them. The other three tabs are never visible.I then tried copying the page to another page in the same interface, so that I could experiment furth

Hello everyone! For export and invoice purposes, I think it would be nice to be able to inherit the filter from an interface to a detail page or at least within the detail page to the buttons (for exporting).Right now when Month Link is set on a specific month, the visible list is changed but the button in the same frame ignores it! Would be so great if it would recognise a filter or the dropdown elements!Does someone has a workaround? I want to make it as easy as possible for the back-office to export a month of choice. Thanks in advance! This is what the detail page looks like: 

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can print the interface view? when I click to print the view has the wrong margins. I already tried to save the page in pdf but without success.
