Interface Designer

On one of my interfaces, I added a calendar element when opening record details. It works great on desktop, but the calendar element is cut and unusable on mobile. Has anybody else had a similar issue?I tried to move the element at the bottom and middle of the record details card, but no success so far.

Dear Community,I’m working on a vacation & sick leave overview. I created a form each, each of them populating a table, one for the overview of vacation requests and one for sick leave. In the employee interface, we have one calendar page. This shows atm the vacation requests for the current user. Now my question is if I can add the data from the “Sick leave” table to this one calendar page, meaning that in the calendar the employee can see the vacation as well as the sick leave info.If you need pictures for a better understanding, I’m happy to provide them. Thank you so much already!Best, Philip

I’m really sorry to have to ask this question.But since the last update of the interface, I have the following problem: How can I exit the edit mode of interfaces if I haven’t made any changes? The publish button is not active, and the “exit” button that used to be there is gone. What am I missing? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m building an Interface page that will serve as a library of:Each Product my team trains on. From a synced table: Product Database. Each training Resource we have for each Product, which are set up as linked records.  From a synced table: Training Inventory.  I set this up in a Record Review layout (preferred over List View for our use case). When editing the interface (and when “normally” viewing the published interface), everything looks great. The linked records display properly (as a view) within the record details.The problem: In the public share link or when embedding the interface on SharePoint, the linked records do not appear. This happens whether or not a product actually has linked records.Has anyone else run into this limitation with Record Review Interfaces? Is there a known worka

Hi everyone,In our workflow, it’s really important to be able to see multiple dates for the same record, not just a single start/end range. We know the Calendar view allows multiple date fields, but the challenge is that Calendar displays events vertically, while what we need is a continuous, horizontal view like the Timeline.Has anyone found a workaround or creative solution to display multiple dates side by side in Timeline view (similar to how Calendar supports it)? Any tips or best practices would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance 🙏

Dear Airtable Community,I’d love to get your support. In our timeline view, I schedule our technicians. Most of these technicians are from the assembly department, but occasionally we also have technicians from the service or maintenance departments helping out.I’d like to visually distinguish the technicians from the other departments in the timeline view, but I can’t seem to find a way to do this.Do you have any ideas on how I could set this up?  

I can't wrap my head around this restriction on interface designs. If you have a linked record picker, but the field has a dynamic filter on it, then Airtable will not allow you to show the list of linked records as “cards.” You can only see them as “pills,” i.e. name only, without any additional context from the records’ fields.  I have a field directly above this one where the user can see cards with additional information when they're trying to select the appropriate record to link. I can't figure out any obvious reason why a dynamic filter should create a situation where you would not be able to access and display the fields for those linked records. If it's just a UX design decision on Airtable's part, I don't understand why they would see limiting a user or builder's access to their own data as a good thing. 

Since the latest update, when looking at our Interface the data is getting jumbled.  eg. we allocate workers to projects and they are correct on our Base, however when we look on the Interface on a mobile phone the columns seem to mix up and Workers are appearing against the incorrect projects. Has anyone else experienced this or have a fix for this?

After entering/editing a notes field on mobile app I am unable to exit using the arrow at top left of screen. I tap it and there is no response.  

I am creating an Interface for our company. The goal is to create an overview page, where our employees can see all they need, e.g. Links (which is easy) but also e.g. a summary of their working hours.The problem is: I don’t know where I can find the “Toolbox”, with which I can add elements to the page. If this is not possible in the overview page, I can create a different page which is dedicated to e.g. the working hours. But here I have the same problem: I can’t find the “Edit” button that leads me to the Toolbox. I hope the pictures explain the issue. Permissions: I am an admin and creator/collaborator in the base/interface. I tried to make myself a Builder (from the admin of our org), but we can’t find the “builder” option anywhere. What you can see in the screenshot is a record review page, and I would like to add an element to the top of the page that sums up all the overtime hours the employee has accumulated.

I spent the last 4h hitting my head with the keyboard and trying to find a solution by myself, so, no solution found, and, here I am.Scenario:2 tables: table A and table BTable A, has a linked filed to table B, and this last table contains several recordsBasically it is 1:n relation Ok. Now I setup a blank page on interface designer.I select a record picker for table A. No issues hereAnd, I select a record picker for Table A, but linked field to table B. (which effectively displays only those values from the table B that are available/linked to table A)The button triggers an automation which contains a script.  The idea -that is not working- is that the script should grab the value from the first record picker, which is the field recorded on Table A, and the value of the second record picker which is the linked field on table A pointing to table B.What is the issue? when I defined the variables, I declared field1

Hello!I'm trying to add a button to an interface and call an automation on click, according to this guide it should be possible, however when I try to follow the steps I face this problem:Supposedly the button should have the action option "Run automation" as shown in this picture:However when I add a button to my interface that option is not present, as seen in this picture:Any help with this issue would be appreciated!

Hi,I shared an interface with a collaborator, and he used to be able to change the status of tasks from the mobile app.Now, he can’t change the status only from the mobile app, even though he has the Creator role. It still works fine on desktop.anyone has an idea why is this happening?

In my data I have two fields, name of a program and hours. In the screen grab I’d like to move the hours in front of the program name. Is there a way to do this? This view exists in my interface. 

I see a new layout option is available on the interface designer. Selecting this option just populates an empty page with a drop-down field off all my tables. I cannot for the life of me find anything anywhere in Airtable that might allow me to add an interface extension. Having the Base extensions in the interface would be SO amazing. 

in airtable interface we created an interface that can create a treatment plan automatically by using scripting but now our client are having difficulty creating the treatment plan automatically as it continue to show timeout. Don't know why is like that? 

Hi all, I’m trying to setup a project management database with a grouped timeline view in an interface. I’ve worked out how to colour my individual ‘phases’ but it appears there is no way to recolour the overview lines that show the overview timelines of each group. See screenshot below The default colour is very hard to see on white (Shown in the green box below) , and the overview line on the top-most group (shown in the red box) is essentially invisible… Is there any way to change these default colour schemes? currently this limitation is standing in the way of Airtable being a usable timeline management tool for us.

I don’t see any extensions like Field List or Base Schema for the interfaces. Does anyone have a solution for getting a quick list of all of your pages? Hey everyone,In my databases interface section I have two interfaces containing several list views, that are of course referring to the same data. The first interface is ment to be for typing in data in our planning process and mostly used from desktop devices. The second interface is for executing purposes and is mostly used on mobile devices on location. This interface should be read only.Summarized:When we are in the office, we are planning and typing in data in the first interface. When we are out of office, executing jobs, we log in to our accounts an our mobile devices to read the condensed and important data.BUT:What we are faceing is, that it seems, that within the interface section of our data base alle lists behave the same in terms of a field being read only or being editable.In easy words: When I change the status of a field from read only to editable in one list in the interface section it does this not only

Hello,we have a ticket/appointment form, where we add all relevant team members to the appointment. Now I would like to create a page in timeline form, where I group by single team members and see all the appointments that are assigned to this person.Currently this is the case: I add an appointment through the form and select multiple team members. Then, in the view, if grouped by the Team Members, it shows me for each combination of team members the appointment.  How do I change this, that I see for each team member the appointments?Do I need to create additional fields in the base? Thank you so much for your support!Best,Phil

Hey everyone,I think I’ve raised this before, but unsure if there’s a workaround …It seems from a record template, you can’t add an assignee to a task, who doesn’t have base access permissions? I guess the logic is that they won’t be able to view the task in the base?Similarly, if you have 2 views, eg) Admin and Tasks, with views of the same list of tasks, you can’t assign a task to someone in the Admin view, that only has access to the tasks view, even though they’re the same tasks?Any thoughts / experience with this? The main pain point is the Record Templates assignee field, as we can’t fully automate assignees in recurring project tasks, so they need to be manually added / an automation created.

Hi Community, I would like to create a new record that is automatically linked to a parent record when I click "+ Add record" in the interface detail view of my parent record in Airtable Interface.To try to explain clearly, my database is comprised of two hierarchies in two different tables.Table 1 is "Communications" and contains the parent records.Table 2 is "Web Articles" and contains the child records that are linked to a "communication" record in table 1.When I am in the interface list view of the "communications" table, and click on the details of the "communication" record, I can see my linked web articles (see screenshot 1).The only way to add a new record from here is to create one with a form. If I then try to add a new record (+ Add article), it opens a form to create a new record in the child "web articles" table, but there does not seem to be any way to link this new record directly to the parent record through whic
