I want to clone a field from Entity 1 to entity 2, usually this is trivial. But the field is an attachment field, “cmsLogo”. When I use values, it “works” but shows a weird formatted string. I tried other options such as values.1 and values[1] but no luck. Any idea how to get the url only?

Hi! Is it possible to save the names of uploaded files? I use Airtable to backup my Cognito forms using ZAPier. Everything works great, but filenames change during synchronization.

Is there a way to use Sort or Filter and then have each set of results be separated onto a new table (or new export)? For example, let’s say I have 3 names: Al, Beth, and Cindy. When I Sort/Filter by name, Al has 2 results, Beth has 4, and Cindy has 5. I know I can Filter by Al, Beth and Cindy separately, and then copy or export the results. Which is ok for 3 names, but very time consuming with 100 names. Is there a way to have the results by name automatically populate onto separate tables or separate exported files by name? So that Al’s results, Beth’s results, and Cindy’s results are automatically separated for me?

Hi all, I’m so new to Airtable and just working through its potential as I need it. I need to create a players’ list that reads on a form: Player 1: xxx Specator Name: xxx Spectator Mobile: xxx Player 2: xxx Specator Name: xxx Spectator Mobile: xxx Player 3: xxx Specator Name: xxx Spectator Mobile: xxx And so on and so on… I cannot figure out how to get player info on the ONE LINE in a form. Currently I have a static array in my data field where I am manually entering inputs but I want the data field to be able to read directly from a specific column array so it will update dynamically? Hello! I’m trying to automate my airtable with integromat (excel data to airtable) and I manage to do it. But the only way a found was in the record detail (level). So if i have a table with 20k records, i need to delete one by one and upload one by one too… It works but takes too much time to complete. Does anyone know how (or if its possible) to do delete all the records from the table with integromat? The same thing to upload. Thanks!

Hi everyone, We do assessments for our clients, and currently use Google Sheets to track the assessments. We might evaluate 150 things for a client, and we rate each of them with a “pass” or a “fail.” The typical sheet has the following columns: ID, Category, Description, Pass/Fail, Notes This works fine on a client-by-client basis. Where we run into trouble, though, is that the list of 150 requirements changes. What we’re hoping to find a way to do (and it would be great if Airtable is that solution) is to have a master list of the 150 requirements, and then have the client-by-client evaluations stored in separate Bases. Then, if the master list changes, say, from 150 to 155 requirements, we’d love to have any easy way to look across all of the past assessments to see which ones are missing the 5 new ones. Is there a way to do this in Airtable? It seems like the templates might not be a fit, as it seems they lose the logical connection to the original template when an instance is

Hi there, working for an investment bank and trying to get the team adopt Airtable. Reviewed the product with my IT/compliance and they loved it, except for…the ability for anyone to attach various files into fields. Is there a way to restrict this (even with custom code) as it may just stop us from using it. The issue is that they have to monitor the data flow and putting attachments in the cloud would preclude them from going outside the walls that are monitored. Thanks! Gal

I noticed in the calendar view the only way I’m finding that I organize records from an at-a-glance perspective is through the date filter. I find that this unhelpful since the whole point of the calendar is that the record will fall on the date it’s due, so I don’t need the record to show the date as the top piece of info. Because of how our team is using this view, we need it to function more as an at-a-glance calendar vs a “click to learn more details” calendar. Is there a way to show the record title instead of the date field so I can see what is due without having to select the record? Hi Airtable! I have some TV show names that have encoding issues that are causing errors in my Integromat scenario. I tried all different variations, but it’s not working. It is these names: 9-1-1: Lone Star I tried removing the hyphens, colon and spaces between the numbers, but it did not work. S.W.A.T. I removed the periods, with spaces and without spaces, but that did not work either. Law & Order: Organized Crime I tried taking out the &, colon and extra space between the colon and the word Organized, but that did not work. Any suggestions? Google sheets is not playing nice with these titles. Is there a website that I could use to change or find the cause of the error, so that I can use the title, without errors in my scenario? So we have sizes 33,34,35,36,37,38,39,40. In the size columns we have the quantity we will produce for each size. Hi there, Is it possible to do a rollup field where you only add the values based on a certain criteria? Please see the graphic below which I think illustrates what I’m trying to achieve vs. what I’m currently getting with a SUM(values) rollup field. I think I have to try and write a conditional rollup. I tried this: IF({Player} = {Player}, SUM(values), 0) but with no luck (probably obviously). In plain English the formula I am trying to write is - if the player is David, show David’s career points total. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thomas.

I am tracking badges earned each year for a kids club. I have a member table that contains info about each member, such as what grade and club they are currently in. I plan to create a Badge table that will contain the names and dates for badges earned. It needs to have a separate record for each year for each child. When I create a record for a child this year, I want to use the current year, the club, and the name to generate a sort field for the record. Next year I want to be able to do the same, but the year and possibly the club will be different. I don’t want the sort field in previous records to change. Is there a way to do this without having to manually enter the sort field info?

I have the primary key column with a single line text field of venues. When I attempt to sort them in ascending order 1 record won’t sort correctly. Cate’s Place, South Australia – is sorting before Adelaide Recording Studios, South Australia. All the other records after this are sorting perfectly. I’ve even tried removing the apostrophe, but that didn’t change anything.

Full disclosure: I have absolutely zero experience with JavaScript (learning as I go!) which is why I am completely lost here and can’t do much searching in other people’s posts because I won’t understand the code. I have three templates that I want to make available to my team, all separated into views within my Marketing Tracker table (views: Webinar Template, Content Template, Event Template). The script that I currently have (below) requires me to choose one of those views (in this case, the Webinar Template). Ideally, I’d like to allow my team to 1. pick the record they are creating from (selectedEvent below) and 2. pick the template they want to create from (Webinar, Content, Event). I can’t figure out how to create two selections for the team (one to pick the record, and one to pick the template). See screenshot 1. The other thing that crossed my mind is, if possible, to have the script reference another field (if field #1 = “event” then create based on Event Template, if field
