Hello, I need to create an aging formula with an If statement to track when a record is open with a count of days until it gets closed and ultimately stops counting.  I then want to be left with the difference of days between the date opened and the date completed,  in the days-old column.   Currently, the Days old column counts days open from the date the record was created.  DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), DATETIME_PARSE({Opened date}, 'MM-DD-YY'), 'days') and just keeps counting.  Any help is appreciated!

Hi folks! I'm trying to create a Base that tracks all the calendar entries in a shared Google Calendar, and then every week (or so), archives all the new entries in the Calendar Sync table into a separate "Archive Table". The first part is easy, I have our AT Base syncing with the correct Google Calendar we need and pulling all the info down into AT. The second part is where I'm running into problems. Because our Google Calendar policy deletes everything older than several (I believe 3) years - I need to find a way to archive that information separate from the sync table (since when things delete in Google Calendar, they'll also delete in the synced table).I also don't want to have it automatically pull new entries anytime a change is made to the Synced Calendar table - as we're likely to adjust the entries multiple times and/or delete and add new versions based on our needs - so if I have it automate pulling every entry over when it's created, I'll end up with a ton of

I am trying to count the number of instances of a particular keyword (could be a single word, or multiple) in each field. Below is the formula I am trying to use:  IF({KW Taxonomy L1}=Natural Sciences,"Yes","No")Which isn’t working.The fields are not linked to another table. Should they be? Am I barking up the wrong tree and should be using another formula entirely?Many thanks

Hello! I run a weekly publication and we have a number of freelancers who get paid different amounts for stories and columns. I have an Airtable table with their names and rates.So in my payments table, I have a Single Select field which chooses the type of writing. Then I have a SWITCH formula that uses the name and type of story to access the right rate. Works perfectly.Until I give someone a raise. When that happens, all of the rates in the old issues from previous weeks get updated, too.I'm trying to figure out how to either "freeze" the numbers in old weeks ... or something. Anyone help?

This seems like something I should have been able to figure out, but I've been struggling to come up with a solution. Duration fields are handy for inputting data, displaying data, and manipulating it in Airtable. But the underlying data is the number of seconds in a text string. For example, one hour, seven minutes, and seven seconds will show as 1:07:07 but the underlying data is "4027". When I use the output via automation, the field output is 4027. I want to use 1:07:07. Does anyone know a formula or automation that I can set up to convert seconds into a HH:mm:ss text output?

In my CRM, I am trying to compare two date values in a formula, in order to figure out which "Next step" value is the most recent. In my Interactions table, {Last contact lookup} looks up a value in my Clients table which is the output of a rollup that outputs the MAX date value from interactions for a given Client record. {Actual interaction date} is the result of a formula that compares the Interaction record's creation timestamp to an optional user-entered value, and outputs the user-entered value if it's non-zero.My formula is simple: IF({Last contact lookup}={Actual interaction date},{Next step}). Unfortunately, that formula fails to produce results. The fourth row should have "Find information" in the Last next step column. Any ideas why this doesn't work?Just looking at the screenshot above, it looks like a problem with formatting, given how the timezone appears. Evening! I am trying to create a table with multiple purposes: 1. Share and store meeting notes2. View date for next meeting 3. See who attends each meeting - this is the one I need help with. _______ So I have created this table:Each Record has its own form link. The form currently contains a Single selection option with the names of the users and the name of the meeting. What I need now is to somehow include the date of the meeting so that when my colleagues receives the form, they'll be able to also see the date of the meeting; w/o the date it will be difficult for them to answer yes or no to the invitation. In the shown table, I have created a formula that automatically generates the next meeting date based on a rule (eg. 14 days from now). Can I in any way include that date field into the form? Thanks in advance for your assistance!  

Hi all, so I have this situation in which I would need to use a double IF.- Chechbox Field- Formula field where: IF checkbox is selected > Value1; if not selected > Value2- Then I have a subsequent Single Line Text field in which I need to have another IF in the formula field above where: IF this field is NOT empty > Value1.Attached are a couple of screenshots. I have the first IF formula down already, I can't come up with the other one. In the second screenshot, where "DANIELA" is typed on the last field, the IF formula should bring me back to "OK" (Value1).Hope I made myself clear enough, would be super helpful if anybody could help me!Thanks

Hello I am creating a time to value metric reporting system for our course.Our goal is for our students to complete their first submission within our course in 14 days.  I have created a formula field that calculates the days from the student's enrollment date to the date they submit their first submission within our course. (see below).So my question is; how should I create reporting in the base interface that reports the number/percentage of students who completed their submission within 14 days? 

Hello all my first post and i'll probably be embarrassed if answered but, I have a formula in excel that tells me how many total years and then months and then days since someone has been hired and I'm not quite there with Airtable as I am getting how many total years and then total months and then total days. 

Helle everyone! I am trying to make a table where I'll have an overview of different kind of meetings. Let's take meeting A as an example. This meeting happens every 14 days. When the meeting has happened (the date is yesterday) I would like a new Record to be made automatically with the updated Date (14 days later). The reason that I would like a new Record to be made is that each Record will have a document attached with a resume from the meeting.I've tried different approaches but yet to hit the mark. Can someone help me make this happen? Thanks a lot! 

I'm working on setting up a system in airtable for generating project pricing/quotes. I would like it to have 3 tiers of organization where a project is built out of a grouping of "components" each of which is a grouping of "materials". The reason for wanting components is so that I can reuse these to build quotes faster by piecing together existing components as well as define a labor price for the assembly of a component. Does anyone know how to simply program an automation that would allow for clients to be assigned to employees based on first letter of last name.So if clients with last names starting with:A - G --> Employee 1H - M --> Employee 2N - S -->  Employee 3T - Z --> Employee 4i figured this might be a combination of a formula field that just isolated the first letter of last name. But i think there should be a quick second step that would maybe group letters in alphabetical divisions easier than just manually input a condition automation for each letter.  

I have a table of products that includes a linked record field to a “tags” table. Each product can have multiple tags. I want to create an automation that auto applies one of the tags, called “New Product”, to the product and auto removes the same tag at a later date but does not remove all the other tags in the field. I was able to get the first part to work wonderfully – I have a field that is the last modified date and I setup an automation to apply the “New Product” tag to the the product if the item enters a view and the last modified date was within the last 30 days. But, I can’t figure out how to remove the tag without also removing every other tag in the field. Any thoughts or threads of wisdom? Thanks, Justin

I'd like the base to go to Pexels (or another free source for images) each morning, grab a picture of someone doing a handstand, and add it to "today's" record. Hi, all. I'm transitioning from Google Sheets and I understand things are different here, so please have patience with me :-). I am basically trying to implement a VLOOKUP functionality.I have the following use case: I have two tables, customers and orders. Their only commonality is the User ID.I am now trying to look up a field in the customer table (name) and display it in the orders table by using Lookup. Each customer has a large number of orders.When linking the two records and creating a lookup field, I can get the name to display on the orders table. But only for that one particular order and only by manually linking a record. My expectation was that Airtable recognizes that each "name" field in the orders table should now be filled the relevant value from the customers table. Like I would do with an arrayformular in Google Sheets. But that's not happening. What am I doing wrong?

Hi guys,We have a field that lists the publish date + time for a piece of web content. We want to be able to organise all of these dates into 'week commencing', ie. add a field that gives the date of the Monday of that week. So, an item published say on Thurs 22nd December 2022, falls into 'Week Commencing' 19th December 2022. Something published on Friday 23rd December 2022, also the same Week Commencing date. The formula we're using to do this is:DATEADD({CONTENT PUBLISH DATE},1-WEEKDAY({CONTENT PUBLISH DATE}),'days')And it sort of works. But it seems to want to force some content pieces from the end of the week into the next week and I'm unsure why. For example, I have a piece of content dated for the 11th December 2022, 3pm, yet it forces it into week commencing 12/12/2022. Any ideas why this might be?

We had Twilio automation running perfectly sending sms to a phone field on every new record added to a base.Today the automation started failing noting "Twilio reported an error while processing this action: An unexpected error occurred, please retry or contact Airtable support."When looking in the Twilio console I don't see related errors in the error log.Attached is a screenshot from the automations run history.I am new to airtable, and not sure if there's some better way to report such cases. I have a multiple select field I am attempting to update within an automation, but I can’t seem to add an option to it without overwriting. Pared down, this is essentially what my code looks like right now: Val = record.getCellValue("The Cell") if(conditions met) { await table.updateRecordAsync(record.id, {"The Cell": [Val, {name: "NewVal"}]}); } And this isn’t working, as it says it can’t recognize this input type. I’ve also tried using getCellValueAsString and then passing that as another option, but that didn’t work either. Right now the code is working but is overwriting the cell value when it does, so I want to add this functionality where it doesn’t overwrite. Any help appreciated!
