Hi everyone,I need to show people on a map but for privacy concerns I would like to change the exact position randomly. I’m using a button to trigger a Zapier webhook. It’s annoying that every time the button is clicked, a browser window is opened. As I can select to run a script with the push of a button, is there any way to run a script in the background that triggers the webhook? Thanks!

Either I've stumbled upon a great bug or I'm a complete idiot. If history is anything to go by let's assume the latter.In a greater context I'm using a formula to check if TODAY() is in the range of some dates.Sometimes the date is from an automatic Created Time field, other times it's from a regular date field. When I check the Created Time (doesn't matter if the field is with out without a timestamp) on a record created moment ago against TODAY() I get a false.I used it in a long formula, but boiled down to it's minimum it just doesn't work. IF(TODAY()={Created Time},"1","0") The above returns 0 on a record created 15 minutes ago.If I ask it to check a date field with today's date inserted, then it returns 1.What's going on and how can I work around this?

Hello!I am trying to set up an automation where when a record is updated, the email column in the same row as that record receives an email with the information in the updated record.For example, I have 3 columns: Name, Email and Unique URL. I want to be able to put in a URL for that Name and have that URL be sent in an automated email to the same email address associated with the name.I have the email column and the unique url on the left hand side but when I go to test it, it gives me an error/shows up empty with the fields, saying I do not have an email and it doesn't show the URL I have put in the grid. Screenshots attached. What am I doing wrong here? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying/hoping I can do this. I have an extension added to a table (SyncWith) but that needs to be manually triggered to run/update the sync. Ideally I'd like to create an automation to run once a day and trigger that extension, maybe with a custom script or something that can interact with it.Is such a thing possible with scripting? Hi all, I'm trying to set up a HTML button with a link that includes a variable "Name" (name of the product) like this: I tried adding " " to make everything except &Name& green but it didn't work. Is there a way to put HTML in the formula and use variables? Surely I'm missing something. Thanks!  

I can't seem to figure out how to loop a concate formula. I have 2 columns: Show Name and Episode Number. Show is single select and Episode is multi. My desired output is a string that loops the show name before the episode number; instead I only get Show Name, then a list of episodes with a comma deliminator.The desired outputs are the names of linked records. Example base below. Hello All.In table A I have all of my outbound communications listed. In this table there is a field called "Month Sent", this field is used to link table A & table B. Table B contains the aggregations of all the communications sent per month (Month sent, Total sends, Total opens, percentage opens, etc.). I want to show the metrics for the communications for each format type per month (i.e. email, SMS, etc.). The ideal way of doing this would be to somehow have a single select field for the format in table B which whenever changed automatically causes that record to calculate the number of communications for that format only and update the record accordingly. I know there is an option in the roll-up to add a condition, but that would mean creating a different view and roll-up condition for each format. In Google sheets, I simply had a table, combo box and if statement that read something along the lines of IF the combo box is equal to the format then add to the count.&nbs

Hello Airtable Community, I'm creating a form where I need a specific number of volunteers for each area of an event I'm planning, for example, I need 5 volunteers on Saturday from 9am-12pm; 5 volunteers on Saturday from 12pm-3pm, etc. What can I do in creating the form to where as the volunteers sign up for various slots, the available number of slots decreases from 5 available to 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 to 0?I don't want six volunteers to sign up, I don't want the sixth person to see it would be an option.  Any suggestions would be most appreciated!Best, Dan

Hi All,I have text field called Name, which contains data in the following format: XXX - YYY - ###, where XXX and YYY are random texts, ### is a 1/2/3 digit number and they are always separated by " - ".In another field I'm using the following formula: TRIM(MID(Name, FIND("-",Name,FIND("-",Name)+1)+1,3)).My goal is to find the number at the end of the Name field and use it as a number in other calculations, but although the result looks good, it is not recognized as a number.Any suggestions?Thank you in advance!

I am creating a record summary interface but am wanting to use a different field than the primary field in my table for the dropdown to search up a record. Is this possible? Is there a work around? It is difficult to use the primary field in our table for searches as it is a code, it would be much simpler to use a different field. Thanks!

Hi everyone,I'm very new to Airtables and I'm trying to figure out some formulas. For now, I'm trying to figure out training completion from my base. The 'Training Completed' field is a multi-selection field (also a linked field) that shows all training an employee has completed. I want to create a formula where if a person has completed Training A and Training B, then the result is 'completed'. So basically, out of the many options that present themselves in the multi-selection field, I need to select 2 specific pieces of training that indicate that a program has been completed. I've tried using the IF (FIND) formula. I'm getting part of it correct, where I've just included Training A, but when I try to add in Training B, the formula doesn't work. This is what I have so far:IF(FIND("Training A", {Training Completed}), "Completed", "Not Completed")  I need to add in Training B to the mix as well. Can anyone help me with this?

I have a Long text field in my table, lets call it “Task Submission”, that I would like to create entries in another table from each new line of text, as shown in the image below. Is there a Way to script this to run manually or automatically. I have an enterprise plan. I need this because i need users to submit new tasks that need to be followed in another table. thanks

Hi everyone,I'm currently building a rental (lending) system for my inventory and I need help tackling an issue with how I register multiple rentals on the same item. I've entered an inventory of some 150 items in one table, a lender registry in another and a project list in a third. I've made a separate table where I register loans and returns back into the inventory. Consider this a log.Here I've made a formula, where you pick who the lender is, what project they are affiliated with, and what items they are lending.When the record is submitted, it updates all items in the inventory and changes their status from in-house to unavailable or vice versa.All of that works thanks to several links, automations and formulas. However!I would like to register future loans and when they are expected to be returned.And here is where it all gets dicey. How do I register multiple dates in a timeline or gant view on the same item and line?Especially since the solution should suit

I have all product specifications in one table like this: And I want to pull the specs data on this other "compare pages" table depending on which two products are picked:So if Product 1 is "iPhone 11" then it would pull the specs into this "Product 1 Specs HTML"from the first table. Hello!I know at one time there were several threads that spoke to extracting the First Name from a full name, and also a formula for extracting the Last Name. While I can find several threads with the code for First Name, I cannot find any that show for Last Name now that I'm in need of it 😂First Name Formula Found: IF(FIND(" ",{Full Name})=0, {Full Name}, LEFT({Full Name}, FIND(" ",{Full Name})-1))I've tried different variations using RIGHT instead of left, but I either get really odd returns where some last names are extracted properly, and others are completely way off, or I get blank returns. I have several Full Names that include more than 1 name as that Last Name. Example: Olivia Gutierrez Lawson. I would need "Gutierrez Lawson" to appear in the last name field with the formula. I feel confident in some of my formula creation skills and then there are times like this when I realize just how little I know haha. I have a task table with start date, due date, and completion date.  Each task is marked open, attempted, or done via a single select.  Working to create an automation that creates a copy of a task marked as "Attempted."  here's the flow of my automation: Trigger:  Record meets condition / condition is Status field is NOT open (aka, either Done or Attempted) Action:  Insert the value of a formula field into the completion date field.  The formula field is simply NOW(), so it will change every day and as we complete tasks, the completion date will change to the current date. Conditional Action:  If Status field equals "Attempted" Action:  Create new record with the following dynamically inserted fields: Task Description New Start Date New Due Date Assignee To calculate the new start and end dates, I have created two columns in the Task table with very similar formulas like this: DATEADD({Completed On}, 2, 'day') The new due date field adds 4 day

As far as I'm aware, we're not able to set the Primary Field as the User type. Has this feature been discussed/is this a feature that is likely to be added in the future?

I am a newish user on a pro plan and in the 5 months i've been using Airtable i not only learned a lot but definitely have learned how to make more complicated tables and ways that our organization can use it. However, now that more of our operations and staff is on Airtable, i am also realizing that i could have built much of it differently. I know there's no way to just duplicate an entire table (along with its data, automations and interfaces) to a new base (just as another table on the same base), which makes redesigning quite complicated. Does anyone found a way around this or found a simple way? I have no problem exporting data but i also dont want to rebuild all the columns and all the automations i connected to it.... help!

Hello,My organization requires our companies to submit quarterly reports via an Airtable form. Because companies cannot see the previous quarterly report form submitted, sometimes, they will duplicate answers from the previous quarter. I'm wondering if there is a way that companies can see the last quarterly report they provided when they are completing the current quarterly report.Thanks!
