I hope that this is not a topic that has been answered already but in my searching what I found is that there are several ways to filter out empty fields but in my use case I want to keep the records that are empty in certain fields. I have had success using NOT({Field Name} = " ") and some success using IF and SEARCH in various forms but they are all getting rid of the fields that are empty rather than keeping the ones that are empty. For clarity’s sake let’s say the records have a likes icecream and the people who don’t like icecream have nothing in that field. I want to be able to filter out the ones that do have something and keep only the ones that don’t. If anyone has any suggestions it would help a lot (also I am doing this via API).

Hi ! With Zapier or Airtable Automations, I can trigger a certain mail to be sent when a record is added in a view or met a condition. However with Sendgrid Block, that seems impossible, I’ve been testing different things for hours ! Any idea? Many thanks

I want to calculate a deadline that is 30 days prior an App Release date for daily content. But I also want a deadline that is 60 days after the App Release for project types that are not daily. The 1st step of my goal works correctly with this formula… DATEADD({App Release (from Master List)}, -30, ‘days’) Here is an IF statement attempt to include the 60 day delay for all other content that does not work. What am I doing wrong? IF ({Project Type (from Master List)} = “DAILY Meditation”), DATEADD({App Release (from Master List)}, -30, ‘days’), DATEADD({App Release (from Master List)}, +60, ‘days’)

I am trying to build an external web app through either Pory or Softr, but my API key seems to have stopped working (I keep getting an invalid key error). Does any one know how to fix this? I’d hate to delete my current API key (I currently have some forms live on my site through Mini Extensions and it would break that connection (although it would be relatively easy to re-do…just not sure deleting/re-generating would really solve this problem - there’s no reason it should have stopped working in the first place). Hi All, Simple one but I’m a but stuck… so it’s ask questions time. As per above I’m trying to convert the simple 24 hr formatted column into JUST a h:mmA format. My formula is: DATETIME_PARSE({Confirmed Time - 24 Hr}, “h:mmA”) How do I stop it showing the date portion (11/19/2020) in my result? EDIT: Here are my full fields. Ultimately I’d love to create a single output that combines ‘Confirmed Meeting …’ with ‘Confirmed Time - h:mmA’ (eg November 19, 2020 at 2:00pm) that can be used in as a simple trigger in a Send Email automation on Airtable… I’m just getting my head and logic brain around Airtable though.

This is the formula i am using to manually override my default date entry IF({Date Override Entry} = BLANK(),{Default Mixed Date}, {Date Override Entry}) i attached a screen shot that shows the result that i am getting. Hi I am not sure it is an IF formula or a switch formula that I need but I cannot work this one our for love nor money. So I am trying to write a complex risk assessment and within it is a simple single select column where my options are Improbable Remote Possible Probable Almost Certain What I was hoping to do is have a column next to it that converts the different options into numbers 1-5 (which I would then hide but use in calculations.) There are lots of different versions of this within the base but for the life of me I cannot work out how to take the select options and get it to return a number am I going crazy? Any help greatfully recieved xx

I’m trying to automatically name experiments based on the user that performs them. The numbering is sequential. However, I want the numbering to relative to the user. Here is the formula I’m currently using: {Initials (from Owner)}&"_"&"EXP"&REPT( '0', 4-LEN( {Autonumber}&'' ) )& {Autonumber} The issue is, I want that next experiment (MP_EXP0005) to start at MP_EXP0001, rather than 5. Is there a way to do that with a formula?

Would appreciate some help on IF statements: I have a field for “WEIGHT” and another for “WEIGHT RANGE”. I would like user to enter his/her weight and need a formula to yield the weight range. eg 42 >> 40-45 48>> 46-50 52>> 51-55 56>> 56-60 63>> 61-65 69>> 66-70 Would there be better alternatives using AND or SWITCH or anything else? I’m trying to update an existing record by adding an attachment with a url that points to a remote jpg file. How can my Virtual Assistant update our Contacts table? How can my photographer add pictures to our Products Table? How can my Marketing Agency add notes to our Campaigns table? A read only link and/or a form is not “collaboration.” Giving 3rd parties access to my my entire base is not efficient or safe. Please tell me there’s another option!

Hello, I would like to use airtable for social media management and scheduling with someone else. It would just be between two people. Myself and another. For example, Person 1 - Uploads attachments/documents/images/resources Person 2 - Schedules and organizes the content for the week Person 1 - Can review and enter (text/copy/“caption”) where needed, as well as leave notes revisons Is a Pro plan needed for this? and if so, would BOTH of us need to pay for a pro account? Hi! I have two tables in my airtable - one has a list of providers, and the other table has contacts for that provider. There are often multiple rows for contacts (because one provider has multiple contacts. I have copied and pasted the data from Excel. In my provider table I created a linked column to link to the contact table. I expect to see two entries in that column most of the time. I’m copying the provider name (first column) into that column, and the provider name is also the first column of the contact table. However I only see one instance - it’s just picking the first row from the contact table. I can go into each cell and search for and select the second instance, that works fine! I’ve also tried copying and pasting the provider name twice, comma separated, but that didn’t work. It still just picks the first instance. Any ideas how I can do this not manually?

Hi Airtable Community, I have created several Page Designer apps that have been working great for months. Generating these one-page PDF documents which must be signed by our consultants with a quick turn-around has been a huge timesaver for us and we rely on them completely. We have several different versions depending upon some of the verbiage that is needed. We use Print -> Save as PDF to generate the documents needed. A member of my team just reached out to me because one of the Page Designer apps is suddenly freezing when they hit the Print button. I tested this with multiple records to ensure the problem is not just one record, and I tested other Page Designer apps that we have to see if the problem is the app itself. It does appear to be this specific Page Designer app. I also make a copy of the app in the hopes that whatever the issue is won’t be propagated, but the copy had the same issue. It freezes when you hit Print. To my knowledge, none of the Page Designer apps ha

Hi, I have a field with 3 drop down statuses. One of them is ‘needs review’. I want to setup an automation so that when a date is met, the status of the relevant field is changed to ‘needs review’. The question is, what is the ID of the record I want to update? When I choose the ‘review status’ field, the options I see are ID, name and color. Is it ID or name? I’m not trying to change the name of the field. I’m trying to update the status of the record.

Hey there, trying to get an IF/THEN statement correct here. It’s a donation database. Each donation is linked to a Donor Account and a Campaign. In my Donor Accounts tab, I’m using a lookup field to determine which Campaigns each donor has donated through. In another column, I’d like it to populate “Yes” if the donor has already given/is tagged to a particular campaign, “No” if they haven’t. Thoughts?

I’m currently trying to clone one airtable into a different airtable. When I run my code, I eventually get timed out after copying anywhere from 100 - 700 rows. I wonder if somebody familiar with Integromat can tell me if this can be done. I have a workflow starting with Airtable Watch Records module → Airtable Retrieve Record module ->… While this works OK, I don’t have many credits left at the end of the month with so many workflows I have running. I tested using Integromat iOS/Android app and it seems it doesn’t consume credits for stand-by operation, it just consumes the credits when the workflow is running. So I would prefer to run the workflow manually from the mobile device. It’s actually convenient. However, while most other workflows work that way, I can’t get it work with Airtable. Seems the Airtable Watch module is required, because otherwise, how would Airtable Retrieve Record module know what record to retrieve. Or is there any way to get around it? What I want is to launch the Integromat workflow from mobile. The issue is I can’t get the Android/iOS module connected with Airtable Watch module. This may be more or less questio

I have a scripting block that, for each record R in a given table, pulls a bunch of data from a different table, calculates a number N, and updates a field F for that R. The problem is some records are updated and others are not. I know that records are being pulled correctly as I print N for every R and it all calculates correctly. I know that the update code works as some records will update. One interesting thing to note: the updated R I think are all old and the non-updating ones were recently added. I thought this might have been a Free/Plus/Pro account issue as only Pro supports Apps and maybe older records were grandfathered but I have paid for Pro and still no go. Is this a permissions issue? By the way, are apps the same as scripting blocks or different?
