I’m trying to send multi-line text through an airtable button via webhook to zapier. Zapier is picking up the text as a single line with no line breaks. How would I send multi line text? The text that is being sent across is of inconsistent length, so some records will longer and have more lines than others. Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi, I’m working on a button field that will allow one of our users to send emails to our customers. Within this table, I have a field containing customer specific URLs that we want to use within the email. My question is whether there is a way to map the hyperlink to text within the email I am formatting using the button field. I’d rather not send our customers the entire URL, it would be nice to show them something like a hyperlinked “Click Here” or something along those lines. Hopefully this is enough to go on. Hi, I’m using Airtable-js to build a website using my Airtable as a source. Because my table has 800 records, I’ve added a click event before fetching more pages of my table, but fetchNextPage is behaving strangely. Instead of fetching regular blocks (my page limit is 36), each request seems to be multiplied by two, thus first it works, then it returns a duplicate block, and eventually it bloats to the point of hanging. Hello! I am a programming coordinator at a library, managing programming for 3 different branches with multiple different rooms. I’m trying to create a formula to pull from a “room” field into another that will formulate the “address” for the building the room is in. Example: Room X, Room Y, and Z should put Address 1 in the formula column, but Room A and B are at Address 2, Room C is at Address 3. I am able to use an IF formula to get it to work for 1 room, but anytime I try and add others I get errors. Here’s what I am working with so far: IF(Room = “HPL Program Room”, “Address 1”, “Address 2”) This will give me Address 1 for the “HPL Program Room” records, and address 2 for anything that is not “HPL Program Room.” If I try adding other conditions, I get errors. How do I add the other circumstances to the same string/formula field?

If I add a record to the table using the API, it is not displayed in the list (via the API). There are 5 records in the table. 3 out of 5 added manually, 2 out of 5 added via API. Our calendar table has a primary field of type datetime with the local format When using the API to update a link record in our bookings table with the recordId from the calendar, it is displayed in the US format A linked table shows the local format, it is just the lookup table that is wrongly presented In the picture above 3rd record we copied and pasted the date which is then the correct format Is this a bug?

I have two columns, one for USD price and EUR price. I want these prices to automatically be converted to DKK (Danish crowns), so: USD price*6.51 = DKK price or EUR price*7.44 = DKK price So, if there is a value in the USD price column, this value gets multiplied by 6.51 and the result is displayed in the DKK price column. If there is no value under USD, then it takes the EUR price instead. So far I have added this formula: IF(OR({Realized price (USD)}>0,{Realized price (EUR)}>0),{Realized price (USD)}*6.52,{Realized price (EUR)}*7.45) But this only takes into account USD price. If USD is empty it will return a value of 0 and disregard EUR price.

If there a way to write a formula that queries, basically, IF value X is in column C OR column D, then Y. I just want to be able to filter a base to show only the records where a Name appears in either one of two columns, if that makes sense. I wish the filter options weren’t by default AND, and could show all records that meet one of two filter conditions. Am I overlooking an easy way to do this? Javier

Hi, Here’s what I’d like to do. On my website, I’d like one form (Table 1) to have two fields. Twitter Handle Writing Prompt On my website, a user fills in both fields then the data gets added to Table 1 (in airtable). When Table 1 fields are filled, another table (Table 2) on the same web page will display the Twitter Handle and Writing Prompt. However, Table 2 will only show the LAST record (Twitter Handle and Writing Prompt) input from Table 1. I found this page that I thought would be helfpul: View last record only but I’m unable to make it work. P.S. I want to prevent users from adding duplicate data. I’ve added a picture to make things more clear, this is the kind of page I’d like to build. @Jacks data was input earliest. It vanishes once the next user (@elon) adds data. This would be TABLE 2. @You and “Go ahead…” would be the form where a new user would input their data. Once the user ads the data, it gets shown in Table 2.

Hi, Airtable folks! I’m having a trouble in setting view description. I am Japanese so I use Japanese alphabet for all of meta settings, such as table names, view names and they work fine. But when it comes to view description, they work fine at first but after a couple of minutes, they suddenly become all question marks like “???”. Does anyone know why this happens? I need a help!!!

I have a project management base I’ve built over the years. I store project specific information in a ‘Project’ table, which relates to a ‘Proposals’ table. Each project can have multiple proposals, but each proposal can relate to only one project. Each proposal contains a linked record to an organization in a separate ‘Organization’ table. When I check a proposal as awarded, the record in the ‘Project’ table then displays the corresponding awarded organization (we bid out to several general contractors per project, but only one is awarded). What I am trying to accomplish is a page designer block that is based on the ‘Project’ table but can display the fields from the organization referenced in the awarded proposal, without having to pull in the contractor information into the ‘Proposals’ table and then into the ‘Project’ table. I hope there is a simple solution, but I have not found it yet. @Jeremy_Oglesby – any chance you have an idea on this?

Inside of my Airtable base I have two fields that log the timestamp when certain fields are updated like this: From there I take the two timestamp fields and calculate the difference, the calculations reveals the time different for a product to move from “status 1” to “status 2” in minutes. With this calculation, I would like to have a conditional SMS message ideally or email if the time difference exceeds a certain threshold. If the above is possible, there are further items I would like to improve upon.

Hi! I’ve been using the below formula for awhile, but it returns an #ERROR! for the fields where {FOC (Current)} is blank. For cleaner reporting I’d like to have it return as “PENDING” but can’t seem to get an IF formula to work successfully. Any suggestions? DATETIME_FORMAT({FOC (Current)},‘YYYY, MM (MMMM)’)

I am building a CRM database. There is a table in my database called Deals that contains a multiple select field called Deal Stage. One of the options in that field is called Closed Won. Those are deals for which we have a signed term sheet and are going to provide a loan. I want to create a new table called Loans where I list details for each of the loans we have made to that subset of Deals for which we Closed Won. For the primary field in the Loan table, I would like to create a formula that looks up the name of the deals in the Deals table and only finds those ones that have the status Closed Won in the Deal Stage field. I would be so extremely grateful for help me with this. Thank you!!!

So in the chart block, how does one exclude custom data categories? I feel like I am likely missing something. I have created custom categories using a multi-select field to code some qualitative data. I want to exclude certain categories or ones below a certain count. (Only display if there are more than 5 of a type.) Thanks

Hey there, I’ve got a Gallery view of people with biography info, name, and other mutli-select data points. The labels of those columns are used to form a survey. The survey asks questions like “what would you like your Bio to be?” and then in the Gallery view, I would want the label of the card to be displayed as “Bio” instead of showing the entire question in a card. Is this possible?

Hi Support, I have a Date field, and wants to get day diff of it till now. Yet when I set ‘d’, ‘days’, “d”,”days”, it’s always said error in formula. Without unit parameter, it works fine with second unit. Is it possibly a bug? Thanks, Elaine

Hello all, I’m new to the community and have been finding so many valuable resources here - thank you! I did some research on this question but wasn’t able to quite find the solution. Here is the basic layout of the two tables in question: RIGS table // Shows all our available inventory Rig 01 Rig 02 Rig 03 etc EVENTS table // Shows event details including which pieces of Inventory are assigned to which Event Event 1 - Rig 01 Event 2 - Rig 02, Rig 03 etc Objective: As Inventory is assigned in the EVENTS table, I want to remove the assigned Inventory from the RIGS table dynamically. I can make this happen per field, however it doesn’t translate to all records globally. Thank you so much for your help in advance! Joanna

I have multiple checkboxes in my base, showing only 1 checkbox per view. Can someone please help with putting together the correct formula to update my “Status” field based on the checkboxes. The closest I can find is support when 1 box is checked at a time, however, once this step is complete the checkbox for that view is hidden and the new view reveals step 2 - showing only step 2 checkbox. So as you carry on through the task management process multiple checkboxes will get checked and I don’t want the “status” field to show all fields, just the one on the current view. Typing that to explain it is harder than I thought. So in a nutshell- think of the checkboxes as status dropdowns - and manually changing the status drop down during each phase of your project. That’s what I need to accomplish but with checkboxes. Thank you
