I have three tables - Organizers, Events and Players. Organizers have events and players are part of an event. I want to pull the most recent event for a particular organizer through the API via a GET, but can’t figure out how to do that. I’d also like to pull in a particular event by ID. In this case, I’ve pulled the ID of the event into a column (RecordID) via a formula (RECORD_ID()), but don’t know the correct URL parameter to send. Thanks in advance.

How do you sum a column of data. I try the formulas that SUM({GROUP}), but the result is not the sum of all the data in a column.

Hello everyone. I am trying to build a somewhat complex base. I thought I had figured it all out, but I can’t get the last part together, so I would like some help please. First, I have (1) projects. Projects are created by (2) acts, which assign (3) people to the (4) group working on each of them. But an act can also do other things (extending deadlines, changing its type, etc.), which are all covered already maybe except for one that seems tricky for what I still need to solve: an act can replace people in the group or simply add more people to it. I manufacture products, and have a customer that buys several items at once. They are requesting a spreadsheet with one Item and description of each item per row in said spreadsheet. Example: My current base shows the following “3 Pieces of green widgets that weigh 50 pounds each and 3 pieces of red widget that weigh 10 pounds”. The customer is requesting the information to be displayed in a spreadsheet as below green widget 50 pounds green widget 50 pounds green widget 50 pounds red widget 10 pounds red widget 10 pounds red widget 10 pounds Does anyone have a suggestion as how to do this automatically?

hello guys, i am looking for this apps to manage my several projects. i proposing to use table as my “portofolio” and use category as my “project”. I am little bit confusing how to add more category within the table. maybe some of you willing to share your experience in using Airtable to manage several projects and oversee project statuses in a glance. thanks you

We use Airtable for our own campaign planning, but also have partners that use Airtable for various other reasons. They don’t have shared workspaces or bases, but they use the “share” link (see 1st screenshot) to provide visibility into certain views. Screenshot #1: My question: is there a way for me to save their view somewhere in my Airtable home? I have the view bookmarked in my regular web browser, but it would be awesome if there was a place I could store specific shared views somewhere within my workspaces? I know I could do something with blocks or in a different table or something like that, but it would be great if, just like workspace and block organization, there was also somewhere I could save shared Airtable links (see 2nd screenshot). Hi Airtable fam, I’ve tried everything at this point… After banging my head against the wall for a full two days, I decided to stop being a dummy and ask for help. Full disclosure… I am a complete novice on Airtable, having just started to interact with it about a week ago. In essence, what I’m attempting to do is: Retrieve all the records of one table (exercises) Filter by two metrics (match difficulty of the exercise with a “difficulty selector”, + or - 1 on a different table, AND make sure the required equipment for the exercise matches what the user has, again, on a different table.) Paste the RECORD IDs of the exercises that pass the filter into a field in another table (there are usually about 20-30) I’ve been able to get pretty far down the road on my own using Integromat. I have a users table which has a user_id and points field. I have a points_events table which logs each time a user_id receive points for an action I need the points field in the users table to sum the total points associated with that user_id from the records in the points_events table. How can I do this? I need it to be as automatic as possible. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hey all, new to AirTable! So, I’ve setup a table which uses an Autonumber field in conjunction with formulas in two other fields to create an ID which will increment a base number (say, 10000 in this case) by the row number so whenever I create a new row, these two fields values will go 10001, 10002, etc… So, it’s all working great, but when I delete the test rows, the autonumber doesn’t reset back to 1. I had to delete the field and re-create it to make it work - is there a better way?

Hi everyone, Hope you’re having brilliant weeks. I’m trying to make a step challenge that I’ll be running for free. I’ve been able to split the results into teams but I’d like to create a league table based upon averages throughout the six weeks. I know how to do this in Excel but I can’t work out how to do it in Airtable. Does anyone have any ideas? This particular base is on a free account so don’t have access to any blocks. Is anyone else having an issue/glitch with the Description block, where the curser keeps jumping to the top of the page while you’re typing? It’s very annoying… I hope I am not accidentally hitting a shortcut key, but it keeps happening? I’m using a Lenovo PC.

I have been perusing the community forum and topics trying for hours to create a new date in a field for 6 days out by using a different date field as the base number. For example, I have a field named ‘Lead Mag Date’ where the date is input manually. I would like another field named ‘Day 6 Call’ to automatically populate the correct date for 6 days later. (i.e., Lead Mag Date 7/14/2020; Day 6 Call 7/19/2020. Here is the formula I was trying to create: DATETIME_DIFF({Lead Mag Date}TODAY(),‘days’) + 6, {DAY 6 CALL} = ‘MM/DD/YYYY’) Any suggestions? I just recently released the first custom block for our base, and I would like to start by saying THANK YOU! It is very exciting to be able to create custom integrations so easily. After releasing a test block to demo the process I realized I can’t find a way to either rename or remove blocks that are either unused, or replaced by another Block’s functionality. Is there a way to remove custom blocks at this time, or is this an artifact of the Beta status of the platform?

I’d like to use a Kanban style view for assigning categories to items, with the categories being values in another table. The items I want to sort are Organizations, and I want to sort them into career interest areas: e.g. Tech, Government, Design, etc. These Interest Areas are in another table, and are a linked field in the Organizations table. If I group the grid view by Interest Area, I can’t drag and drop the orgs to categorize them. I’d really love to do this in a kanban view - it’s easier to drag and drop items. But when selecting a group by field it doesn’t seem to allow me to use a field from another table, even if I set the field to only allow a one to one relationship. Any other ways to do this that I’m missing?

Hi all! I’m still pretty new to scripting, but came across a problem that feels like it should have an obvious answer. I would like a user to be able to update a number field in my base via some inputs in the script, however the input.textAsync function throws an error because the string can’t be assigned to that field type. Aside from changing my field to a string, is there away to change the input type to a number in the scripting block? Thanks!

Hi All, Hoping someone can figure out what I’m doing wrong here. I’m trying to get the number of weeks (preferably with one decimal point) by subtracting two dates from each other. In addition, there is an IF function, as described below: IF {date 1} < TODAY, then do the difference between {date1} & {date 2} in weeks format. If not, then do difference between TODAY() & date 2. I have this, but it’s not working: IF({Contract Signed Date}<TODAY(), DATETIME_DIFF({date 1},{date 2},‘days’), DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{date 2},‘days’)/7 Thanks, Dave

I posted this also on the Integromat community, but I’m just also sharing here in case anyone has any smart ideas… Q: How to sync Webflow CMS items between Airtable & Webflow via Integromat I have the below scenario in Integromat, which attempts to do the following: Lists all Webflow CMS items in a collection Lists all Airtable items on a page Where the Webflow item ID exists, update the Airtable base with the relevant Webflow details Where the Webflow item doesn’t exist, create the item The ‘update’ function works fine, but I can’t figure out how to get the filter for ‘if ItemID doesn’t exist’ to work properly. It creates multiple versions of the same record. My filter is also attached as a screenshot. Wondering if anyone has a similar scenario set up that they can help with / anyone can provide guidance on how to use Airtable as a CMS like this.

Hi all, I have started using the CRM feature to log pipeline. I have created a duplicated sheet for archived projects, is there a way to move an entire record from one sheet to another? TIA

Newer user, still learning. I have a base with 3 tables. All three tables are linked. When I send the form to collaborators, they cannot add data to the two other tables (through the form). This base is similar to a CRM, so I am trying to add customers, potential jobs (on a separate table) and contractors (on another table). The Customer Base is the form being sent out, but if the contractor or job isn’t already listed, then it cannot be added through the form. Is there a method to add a contractor or job through the Customer form?

The “To-do list” tutorial opens with In this 3-part tutorial learn how to build a to-do list block that shows a list of tasks from a table and allows you to check them off when done. The supporting screen recording demonstrates this functionality. However, the tutorial only covers displaying the contents of a table or view. There is no information on modifying the table (via a checkbox or otherwise). A subsequent guide does discuss writing to a table though it’s not in terms of the “to-do list” block.
