Knowing how to represent the relationships between different groups of objects can ... I’m stuck on the following step in the photo: I can create the first two tables (students and classes). In the bottom pic, they have created a 3rd table. It has got a list of the students and classes. In particular, I cannot find a field with the Icon show for both students and classes is different in the bottom pic I have tried to do this using the “Link to Another record” feature, but my version creates 2 columns each time (see pic below) I use link to another record. Additionally the icons are different to the one shown in the example. Thanks very much Amit

There are 2 fields: the time of the last modification of the line and just a number. (last_modified_time and time) How do I create a formula for the “result” field to add the minutes from the last_modified_time field and the number from the “time” field? That is, the example should get: 38 + 100 = 138 (the field “result” should be 138) (101 is there for an example, do not pay attention. Instead it should be 138)

Hello, I’ve been working with a script for a while to import some CSVs. The purpose of doing this is to cleanse some of the data prior to importing it and adding more controls around how these files are uploaded verses using the CSV import block which we can’t control as well. A question I had was, that when I try to import one of my files that contains a 16 digit tracking number, it comes in formatted as scientific notation and loses any data beyond where it is summarized. I understand that this is often regarded as an Excel issue, and there are workaround within Excel, but when I try those workarounds, save the file, and try to import it, I still get scientific notation formatted numbers. I was wondering if anyone had a potential solution to this or if anyone has run into similar issues. My current solve would be mapping where we currently get our data from, to an Excel file, and using the scripting import on an .xlsx file type instead but we would really prefer to have them stay in

Hello, please dont be too harsh with me I am starting with this and have a simple question I cannot solve by myself though trying different combinations of formulas. I have 3 fields : possibleloan1, possibleloan2, loanoutput. I want a formula that defines loanoutput. Loanoutput is possibleloan1 if possibleloan1 is greater or equal possibleloan1. if possibleloan1 is minor possibleloan2 , loanoutput should be possibleloan2. I tried for loanoutput: IF(possibleloan1 > possibleloan2, TRUE(possibleloan1), FALSE(possibleloan2)) Do you know what I did wrong? Airtable is not accepting the formula itself though I wrote it in accordance to the guidelines. Thanks in advance!

I have a table with 8,000+ records that include email addresses (source table). I have a list of 200~ e-mail addresses being updated manually (table 2). I would like to create a grid view in the source table that filters to only include the list of 200 e-mail addresses, without having to manually search for each or create a filter. The end result being that my source table has a column that indicates if the record’s email exists in Table 2, and I could create the grid view based on this. Anyone know if a script exists for this? Hello, I’ve posted a related discussion to this one, wondering if there was any way, through the scripting block, I could break out numbers that were in scientific notation into long strings from .csv files that I was importing. Unfortunately, none of my potential solutions worked out. I’ve started trying to figure out at what point these files get converted to scientific notation. When I view the .csv as text, I can see the long numbers as I would expect them to be uploaded. But when I upload the file via the scripting block, they are formatted in scientific notation. This is starting to make me think that the parsedContents function takes some liberties with the data and converting it. While it is tremendously helpful for a lot of my purposes this is a roadblock I’m not sure how to get passed yet. Hey, Im looking for a way to link multiple tables to one record. I want to be able to assigng sub tasks in 1 record in master table ( I have many tables) from different tables so person whos reposnsible for the project could quickly see where we are failing.

Is it possible to create a formula that sums values in other rows based on a filter with the current row’s other column value? For example, let’s say I have 3 columns: Topic (Primary Field) Owner: Person object (other table) or email address Score: Integer field I want to calculate the sum of all Score fields where the Owner is the same. From a table perspective, I was thinking about adding another column with a function like the following: SELECT SUM(Score) WHERE Owner = this.Owner This will result in the same value for all rows where Owner is the same, but I’m okay with that. In my base, I have a column called Authors. I would like to make a formula so if the Authors field has “Hoch” in it, it will say Author, and if it doesn’t, it will say Not Author. How do I do this?

Hi everyone, we are building a little CRM inside Airtable and I am trying to do something that seems to be almost impossible. Perhaps I am just not seeing it. So, would love some help to get this going: Setup: One table called Customers Another table called “Health Score Reviews” The first table is self-explanatory. The second one, has a series os “log entries” for every time someone from our Customer Success team interacts with a customer. In that interaction, they can add a SCORE to the interaction from 1 to 3. Objective: We want to show the LATEST Health Score for that customer in the Customers table. The first part I was able to do, which was to retrieve the max(id) for the Customer Health entries and pul that number to the Customers table. The problem is that I want to Lookup in another column what was the Score that was registered under that ID. I am trying to use a Lookup field. The idea is to retrive just the latest Score. How can I keep my numbers field from rounding? This seems somewhat simple, but I’ve searched and found nothing. I’m in publishing and trying to add page counts. My numbers field keeps updating 1.75 to 1.8 and I don’t know why. Even if I fix the decimal view, it will do 1.8 or 1.80 or 1.800 - not 1.75. I have done it with simple text but then I lose my sum feature. Any help is appreciated!

Hi – I may be in the wrong place, but if this is possible, am guessing it will be a script. I have a single multi-select field with 450 options like: United States, Automotive, P&L, Canada, Manufacturing My team has gone through and categorized these into 3 new fields which would be: United States, Canada Automotive, Manufacturing 3 P&L We have about 1500 records tagged in the first way. Is there a script I could run, that would redistribute those tags from the single field to the three fields, without creating new options? Please let me know if this should be elsewhere. I searched for similar requests and didn’t find this. Thank you!

Is there a way to count the number of times a duplicate name appears in one table and display that number in another table? For example, Minnie Mouse’s name appears 3 times in the “Billing” table and I want to output the number 3 under a column for Minnie Mouse in the “Child” table. The way my data is set up is I have 2 tables, one for “Child” and another for “Billing”. The “Billing” table keeps track of all the client with the months we billed them for, their name will appear multiple times corresponding to the month he/she was billed. This duplication is how our biller kept track of the data, by having a Jan, Feb, Mar, etc tabs in excel and the client’s name being inputted in the corresponding month tab. The “Child” table has a different set of data that can’t be combined with “Billing” I’ve been trying to understand other answered inquiries that was posted here, but my knowledge of setting up the logic statements for formulas is very elementary

View the latest field Hi, I’m totally new to Airtable and so far I’ve been fascinated by it. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I started doing is something that allows me to keep the daily balance of different accounts, see image, So I capture daily transactions and therefore the actual balance is the last recorded . How can you make a query or a summary, which brings me only the data of the most recent registration of the different accounts? Thank you very much for your help

Why do I get this error message when trying to link Fields both to other tables and within the same table? Are you sure you want to convert to this field type? Converting to this field type may clear some cell data from every record in the table. If the conversion causes a problem, you can press CTRL Z to undo. Thanks!

I have tables set up with Autonumber as the primary key. It’s basically my version of a CRM. I have the Contacts linked to the Company records, but it displays the AutoNum instead of the Contact name. Is there a way to choose what displays when you link records? I saw a previous topic that the recommendation was to have the AutoNum NOT be the primary key. Since there can be a number of Joe Smiths or JaneMillers in a given set of names (examples only), I’d prefer to keep the autonum to get a unique key. It would definitely be helpful to see ‘Jane Miller’ in the company record instead of ‘1’…
