Hi all! I’m still pretty new to scripting, but came across a problem that feels like it should have an obvious answer. I would like a user to be able to update a number field in my base via some inputs in the script, however the input.textAsync function throws an error because the string can’t be assigned to that field type. Aside from changing my field to a string, is there away to change the input type to a number in the scripting block? Thanks!

Hi All, Hoping someone can figure out what I’m doing wrong here. I’m trying to get the number of weeks (preferably with one decimal point) by subtracting two dates from each other. In addition, there is an IF function, as described below: IF {date 1} < TODAY, then do the difference between {date1} & {date 2} in weeks format. If not, then do difference between TODAY() & date 2. I have this, but it’s not working: IF({Contract Signed Date}<TODAY(), DATETIME_DIFF({date 1},{date 2},‘days’), DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{date 2},‘days’)/7 Thanks, Dave

I posted this also on the Integromat community, but I’m just also sharing here in case anyone has any smart ideas… Q: How to sync Webflow CMS items between Airtable & Webflow via Integromat I have the below scenario in Integromat, which attempts to do the following: Lists all Webflow CMS items in a collection Lists all Airtable items on a page Where the Webflow item ID exists, update the Airtable base with the relevant Webflow details Where the Webflow item doesn’t exist, create the item The ‘update’ function works fine, but I can’t figure out how to get the filter for ‘if ItemID doesn’t exist’ to work properly. It creates multiple versions of the same record. My filter is also attached as a screenshot. Wondering if anyone has a similar scenario set up that they can help with / anyone can provide guidance on how to use Airtable as a CMS like this.

Hi all, I have started using the CRM feature to log pipeline. I have created a duplicated sheet for archived projects, is there a way to move an entire record from one sheet to another? TIA

Newer user, still learning. I have a base with 3 tables. All three tables are linked. When I send the form to collaborators, they cannot add data to the two other tables (through the form). This base is similar to a CRM, so I am trying to add customers, potential jobs (on a separate table) and contractors (on another table). The Customer Base is the form being sent out, but if the contractor or job isn’t already listed, then it cannot be added through the form. Is there a method to add a contractor or job through the Customer form?

The supporting screen recording demonstrates this functionality. However, the tutorial only covers displaying the contents of a table or view. There is no information on modifying the table (via a checkbox or otherwise). A subsequent guide does discuss writing to a table though it’s not in terms of the “to-do list” block.

Hi All, I am very new to airtable and trying to decide if this tool is right for our team. I think that it is, I am just having an issue trying to calculate the percentage. I have a count of subtasks as well as a count of the completed subtasks (linked record to another table,‘subtasks’). I wanted to use these two fields to calculate the percentage of completion. I added a new field and called it percentage complete and used the below formula: {Number of Completed Subtasks}/Number of subtasks and formatted as percentage. Since some items do not have any subtasks at all (0) I am getting the NaN error for percentage. How can I rectify this so that the NaN error, essentially 0/0 returns an actual percentage to help me with the bigger picture? Hi everyone, Is there anyway to make one-to-many relationship kind of master-slave relationship? What I mean by master-slave here is making one table master and the other slave so if someone deletes a record in the master table, related records in the slave table would be automatically deleted. Hi there, I was wondering if someone could help me create a formula so that if I have a Text field, it can automatically add a “( )” around the first 2 or 3 digits? I know I could use the phone number field option but I rather not. EX: 1301234901 --> (130)1234901 OR (21)301234901 So far this I’ve gotten the following but they’re applied in separate fields. EX: “Field 1- Number”, Formula: LEFT({Number}, 3) As you’ll see by using this formula, it only isolates the 3 characters. Ex: “Field 1- Number”, Formula: IF(LEFT({text number}, 3),"(") This only gives me the ‘parenthesis’ in return. All help is appreciated :grinning:

How do they take the shared form link I email them and have it installed on their IOS device as an app-let for daily submissions? Hi there, I am a relatively new Airtable user with a basic understanding of formulas which has held me in good stead until this week. I have a table linked to a form. It’s a form designed to use for a customer to hire various types of product for us. The form populates all the required information into a table where it shows all the relative information to us about what product they are hiring. The products are theatrical props and theatrical costumes. In the table, there are fields for “collection date” and “return date” for each above category and currently I have a field called “number of days hired” for each category that is reading those dates and working out the amount of days that product is hired by the current formula: DATETIME_DIFF({Date for costume return}, {Date for costume collection}, “days”) This field then multiples with the cost amount in a further field to tally the total cost. My issue is that when one of the date fields is empty I receive a NaN. And due to this, the

So I have a column titled “Days Since Update” which is the days since a certain date to today and then “Field 10” is based on an If Formula (if the status is completed it gives a 0). I now want a formula column which gives the smallest of these two values. I’ve tried Min formula however this ignores logical values (values in field 10). Does anyone have any suggestions? All I really want is that when the status is completed a value doesn’t come up in Days Since Update! Is there a way I can merge the Min and If formula together to achieve this? image|281x500

To create a more efficient process in pricing materials I’m working through different ideas and it’s just becoming messy. I’m trying to figure out if a formula would provide the best option or possibly a drop-down based on conditions. My PDB report includes a Multiple Select field and the report requires a LIST format instead of the defaulted line of selected items… Q> Is there a way to have the print changed to a LIST format?

How the heck do I report bugs now? I have a linked record field that is supposed to be limited to a specific view. It works most of the time, but often enough, the entire linked table is exposed. When this linked record is functioning properly, I can hit enter, then enter again and select the desired record, as it is the first in the list. When it isn’t working properly and I do the same enter + enter combo, I select a name that shouldn’t be there. When the box closes out, no record is displayed in the linked record field. That is great, but something VERY ODD happens. Is anyone using Memberstack and pulling data from Airtable to make a private client dashboard. I’m using Duda as CMS and have integrated Memberstack. Now I need to pull user data, stored in Airtable, and share with each client. Stuff like “Order numbers”, “tracking #”, etc.

How can I hide certain records from being displayed? We are using an Airtable form to collect entries but only want to display people we approve to the public gallery view that is embedded on our site. Is there an affordance to hide some records? For now, we just had to create a duplicate form to act as an overall collection sheet, from where I am then copying approved entries to the live gallery directory. Can this be made more efficient/easier?

I am attempting to calculate a cost per validation in a table using a Formula of two rollup Fields but I want the results to show either the resolution of the problem {column A}/{column B} or “0” if NaN or the sum of Field 1 if Infinity. Examples of problems: if Field 1 rollup is $1800.00 Field 2 rollup is 0 I need the formula in Field 3 {column A}/{column B} to show $1800.00 not Infinity if Field 1 rollup is $0.00 Field 2 rollup is 0 I need the formula in Field 3 {column A}/{column B} to show $1800.00 not NaN if Field 1 rollup is $1800.00 Field 2 rollup is 2 I need the formula in Field 3 {column A}/{column B} to show $900 Getting the formula to give me the last result is easy enough - but I can’t seem to figure out how to use nested if formula to give me either 0 or Feild 1 amount. I use a formula filterByFormula=Lower(E_Mail)=Lower("{user_email}". If there is a special Character of # or & or + in the e-mail address, for example debby+maier@gmail.com the formula does not find correspondig records in airtable. Special Characters like !$%’*-/=? within the E-Mail address are found. Can someone give me a workaround or solution. Thank you for your help

Hi, I’m not very clued up when it comes to the more complex features of Airtable so I’m hoping someone in this community can offer some assistance :slightly_smiling_face: I managed to solve part of my issue through searching these community forums here I am using UK postcodes to determine a salesperson’s region. I have a list of these vs salesperson which can be viewed here. I have a webform that is pulling into Airtable using Zapier so it populates the fields whenever a form is submitted. I’m now adding some extra fields to this so that our sales team can utilise the base as a leads tracker. I’ve got as far as using a formula to assign a salesperson based on the first 2 digits of the postcode: And that is working ok, but it leaves me with the issue of when a postcode starts with a single letter as is the case on line 5 here. I also wondered whether it’s possible to add a collaborator based on the postcode so that they would be notified, but I think that might be a step too far vs w

I am working on a database of the individuals in our feeding programme. In December we host an annual Christmas party for the kids between 5 and 16. How do I write a formula to identify these children? I have tried variations: IF({Current Age}>4 AND {Current Age}<17), ‘invite’) or IF( AND({Current Age}>4 {Current Age}<17), ‘invite’) and I just keep getting error messages. Clearly something is wrong with my format but I don’t know how to fix it. Please help :slightly_smiling_face:
