In my base, I have a column called Authors. I would like to make a formula so if the Authors field has “Hoch” in it, it will say Author, and if it doesn’t, it will say Not Author. How do I do this?

I have a field with a value "feather29sum"cxa. I need to extract the feather29sum only and ignore everything else. Can someone please help with this formula?

Hi everyone, we are building a little CRM inside Airtable and I am trying to do something that seems to be almost impossible. Perhaps I am just not seeing it. So, would love some help to get this going: Setup: One table called Customers Another table called “Health Score Reviews” The first table is self-explanatory. The second one, has a series os “log entries” for every time someone from our Customer Success team interacts with a customer. In that interaction, they can add a SCORE to the interaction from 1 to 3. Objective: We want to show the LATEST Health Score for that customer in the Customers table. The first part I was able to do, which was to retrieve the max(id) for the Customer Health entries and pul that number to the Customers table. The problem is that I want to Lookup in another column what was the Score that was registered under that ID. I am trying to use a Lookup field. The idea is to retrive just the latest Score. But it doesn’t work and it brings up all the Scores a

How can I keep my numbers field from rounding? This seems somewhat simple, but I’ve searched and found nothing. I’m in publishing and trying to add page counts. My numbers field keeps updating 1.75 to 1.8 and I don’t know why. Even if I fix the decimal view, it will do 1.8 or 1.80 or 1.800 - not 1.75. I have done it with simple text but then I lose my sum feature. Any help is appreciated!

Hi – I may be in the wrong place, but if this is possible, am guessing it will be a script. I have a single multi-select field with 450 options like: United States, Automotive, P&L, Canada, Manufacturing My team has gone through and categorized these into 3 new fields which would be: United States, Canada Automotive, Manufacturing 3 P&L We have about 1500 records tagged in the first way. Is there a script I could run, that would redistribute those tags from the single field to the three fields, without creating new options? Please let me know if this should be elsewhere. I searched for similar requests and didn’t find this. Thank you!

I’m looking for some help in how to set this up properly. My main table has the 1st column that is an App. Table 1: App1 App2 App3 I’d like to to have another table where the main 1st column is directly linked and the same as on Table 1. App1 App2 App3 without just copying and pasting them over. Hello Everyone, I could use some help. Ideally I would like to create a form that can easily be emailed. I have Client orders in one table, each order is linked to a customer and the products they will be shipped. On the Product table there is a Retail price and product description. Is there a way to count the number of times a duplicate name appears in one table and display that number in another table? For example, Minnie Mouse’s name appears 3 times in the “Billing” table and I want to output the number 3 under a column for Minnie Mouse in the “Child” table. The way my data is set up is I have 2 tables, one for “Child” and another for “Billing”. The “Billing” table keeps track of all the client with the months we billed them for, their name will appear multiple times corresponding to the month he/she was billed. This duplication is how our biller kept track of the data, by having a Jan, Feb, Mar, etc tabs in excel and the client’s name being inputted in the corresponding month tab. The “Child” table has a different set of data that can’t be combined with “Billing” I’ve been trying to understand other answered inquiries that was posted here, but my knowledge of setting up the logic statements for formulas is very elementary

View the latest field Hi, I’m totally new to Airtable and so far I’ve been fascinated by it. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I started doing is something that allows me to keep the daily balance of different accounts, see image, So I capture daily transactions and therefore the actual balance is the last recorded . How can you make a query or a summary, which brings me only the data of the most recent registration of the different accounts? Thank you very much for your help

Why do I get this error message when trying to link Fields both to other tables and within the same table? Are you sure you want to convert to this field type? Converting to this field type may clear some cell data from every record in the table. If the conversion causes a problem, you can press CTRL Z to undo. Thanks!

I have tables set up with Autonumber as the primary key. It’s basically my version of a CRM. I have the Contacts linked to the Company records, but it displays the AutoNum instead of the Contact name. Is there a way to choose what displays when you link records? I saw a previous topic that the recommendation was to have the AutoNum NOT be the primary key. Since there can be a number of Joe Smiths or JaneMillers in a given set of names (examples only), I’d prefer to keep the autonum to get a unique key. It would definitely be helpful to see ‘Jane Miller’ in the company record instead of ‘1’…

Can someone advise why and/or how to modify this formula to allow for the “0” value?

Hi Novice Airtable user question - advice gratefully received. I want to create a master ‘to do list’ - which I will primarily view as Kanban - which I can both add new ‘tasks’ and also pull in items from other tables; using the status field in the other tables to then organise the master to do list. The Airtable is helping me with my professional development covering working on a new business idea, networking, job hunting, writing etc. What is the cleanest way to create a grid that has ‘new items’ and linked records? How can I pull records in from multiple other tables into my master plan and create a status field in the master document that pulls from the status fields in the separate tables? So I might have some networking activities to do, some writing to finish, a job to apply for etc - each of these are currently in separate tables? I hope that makes sense. Hello, I want to get daily summary of records from Airtable to Slack channel. I tried it by Append Entry and Schedule Digest, but it doesn’t work. I also tried instructions from your Airtable blog, but in the Record field I can’t see Use a Custom Value.

I have an attachement link that has a bunch of attachments but every now and then one of them looks like the below, but works when clicked. It seems to usually be .pdf’s. Any way to avoid this?

I want to be able to pick a value which and select some some other values which shows only values that contains values that includes values from first pick. I am trying to adopt the summaries used in the Sales CRM Dashboard to get summaries in my Product database. I have a field that makes the category into a 3 digit number. I’ve tried linking this to a one row Summary table with no luck. It doesn’t seem to matter if I link the tables from the Cards table to the Summaries table, or vice versa. Either way, when I add the Rollup that refers to the NumAbbCalc field of the Cards table, I get nothing in the Summaries record. Somehow the connection between the tables is not correct.

All, I’m quickly learning the power of Airtable. As I am developing our base, we are creating views that group fields that are relevant to different users. When we do that, Airtable defaults to adding the summary bar with all numerical fields summed. I love the summary bar but it is rare we need those groups to be summed. So I find myself changing most fields back to “none” from “sum.” If I don’t, it provides misleading and/or nonsensical results. Is there a way to update the default summary bar option to “none?” Thanks, Matt
