Hi, Airtable - Support Prefilling a form When making an Airtable form, you can use prefill_ parameters in the URL of the form to prefill specific fields. Find the URL for the form you wish to prefill. Once you get the form URL, you can ... I am using the prefill feature to create 3 different links for 3 different webflow pages. On each page i prefill a single-select field with the page-name. Eg. “project_one”, “project_two”, etc… Within airtable i open the “embed view” and copy the code. Then i add my “?prefill_ProjectName=project_one” code. After that within webflow i use the HTML-Embed element to paste the shared link into. Hey, I am creating a base to understand staff allocation over the various projects - 1 person goes to 1 project only until they are transferred. I had to assign people (names) to specific projects (as in their current projects). I have created a sheet called transfers where there is a FROM project and TO project. Over time, each person will have a number of transfers. So in the staff sheet we see the various TO sites where the person has been transferred to over time. Now to find the most recent transfer and hence their current project I used the solution from this answer: Find last entry So it does some work in the background and basically finds the most recent entry for the person and shows that in the formula as text The problem is the grouping. As you see the name name has gone into 3 groups Cummins Pithampur Since they are showing text from the same source, they are required to be in the same group. The logic beats me. Some help please. I’ve just discovered that the Open URL option in the new buttons feature is much more powerful than I realised. E.g open up your local email client with a prepopulated email. Even prepopulated forms. But it assumes you know how to code URLs. Which I don’t. Can anyone suggest some simple references please. I see from the Airtable Help samples you can send stuff to Google Mail / Calendar or Twitter or anything I guess. So would all these products publish somewhere what their own URL formats need to be? What should I search for? For example, one of the Help samples is: “mailto:” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT(Email) & “?subject=” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT(Subject) & “&body=” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT(Body) But what language is that? Where can I learn more?

Hello - I’m brand-spankin’-new to Airtable. All I need is a formula to show the entered date as “Quarter / Year” e.g. 08/05/2020 should show up as: Q3/2020 I’ve been working w/ the instructions here - but I don’t need the shifting of a fiscal year that’s different than the calendar year and since I’m a noob - I don’t know which section of the formula is actually doing that. I’m also liking the formula that simpy uses the SWITCH(Month({FieldName}) I found here on the community forum, but I don’t know how to format it to include the Year and " / " between the quarter and year. SWITCH(MONTH({Field Name}), 1, "Q1", 2, "Q1", 3, "Q1", 4, "Q2", 5, "Q2", 6, "Q2", 7, "Q3", 8, "Q3", 9, "Q3", 10, "Q4", 11, "Q4", 12, "Q4" ) So 2 possible answers, 1) Show me where the year shift is happening in the linked article formula, or 2) show me how to add the slash / and Year in the above SWITCH formula. Hi, I’m combining 2 fields (1 with date, 1 with time) into one single time+date field. Problem: when it combines the time, it switches a time that was in “pm” to “am”. Any ideas on how to solve this? many thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi is there a way to hide certain fields from view? I have an amazing base (if i do say so myself) for a charity that links all of our fundraisers and how much they have raised etc which is great what I want to add is a column for any of my paid fundraisers on how much I have spent on things like their wages so I can work out their ROI - not obviously I do not want them to be able to see each other’s wages is there a way to either hide a column or add an extra tab/table and hide that instead?

I have a dropdown menu, and I want to automatically send a third party an email based on the person’s response. For example, if they choose option 1, I want to send an email to example@gmail.com. If they choose option 2, I want to send an email to example@hotmail.com, etc. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

Hi I have one column called genres 1 and another column called genres 2 I want to add another column that returns me the value of genre 1 when it isn’t blank and returns me the column genre 2 when the column genre 1 is blank I know I have to use the If function, but I dont know how to apply to this case Can you provide me some help? I’m going crazy trying to figure out how to remove spaces from this ARRAYUNIQUE. Here’s an example of what I’m getting in the rollup field: “5f286eebbd491e7410167db7”, “5f286eebbd491ee230167eaf”, “5f286eebbd491e8175167e8f” I’ve tried adding another formula field alongside this to substitute the spaces using this: SUBSTITUTE({Rollup Field},", “,”,") But it throws an ambiguous error. Oddly, it seems like the ARRAYJOIN is working fine. That defaults to no space, and it seems like you can run the SUBSTITUTE formulas over them with no issue. Are there any known differences with ARRAYUNIQUE? Any ideas on how I can strip the strings from it? Has anyone seen duplicated content resulting from a Lookup? I’ve noticed this in a couple different tables and it is causing formula errors for me. For example, I have a lookup on a single select field with only these options: http://photoville.org/uploads/2020-08-05_073451_3zvyyjo.png Yet, in the resulting field, there are sporadic entries that appear as ‘Clinical Trial, Clinical Trial’ When I subsequently attempt to use this field in a Switch(), I get ‘#ERROR!’ in those case where the entry is duplicated.

Hi, is there a way to increment a number field via the API ? Something like: base(‘Variants’).update([ { id:id, fields:[ my_number_field: increment(1) ] } ]) I would like use the API to perfom an update without pulling the previous value first.

A newbie here, trying to understand what is possible with Airtable. I am involved in a project that is about informing about local food products. Basically, it is a couple of text entries and a picture with each product. Ambassadors with a separate login will visit a store and take an inventory - which products are available and in which store? All products and where they can be found must be viewable via a mobile or desktop browser by anyone without logging in. Is it possible to do with Airtable? How would you do it?

Hi, i’m having an issue, i have a base with around 80 new lines, with a date and time. I tried to organise it manually by days and hours, but it seems that it gets messy all the time, maybe when i’m looking for an information using a filter. Is there a way to lock the place of each line based on the date ? Right now i have to sort it “1-9” in order to have then reorganized, but i don’t understand it doesn’t stay like i wanted it ordered… can you help me please ?

Hello all. I’m new to scripting in Airtable. I’ve learned a lot from this forum but cannot resolve a multi-record linking problem. I have a table of People with a field called Crafts which links to a related table “List - Crafts” which includes records for Director, Writer, Producer, and so on. In a People record, I want to populate the Crafts field with multiple values. For example, in the Person record “John Doe” the Crafts field would include Director and Writer. My code queries the “List - Crafts” table and stores the relevant record IDs into an array named idYouNeedArray. It’s my understanding you need to pass an array of strings to populate the field with multiple values however this code does nothing with the Crafts field. peopleTbl.updateRecordAsync(foundPeopleRec, { "Crafts": [ {id: idYouNeedArray} ] }); The only way I can get multiple values into the Crafts field is with this: peopleTbl.updateRecordAsync(foundPeopleRec, { "Crafts": [ {id: idYouNeedArray[0]}, {id:

Hello. I need to add and subtract items that are not numbers nor dates. How can I do it? To illustrate it, I have changing groups of people working on projects, so I have a first column for people originally assigned, then a second for people who left in the middle of the project and a third one for people assigned also in the middle: [A] Original composition: “John” “Jack” [B] Removed: “John” [C] Added: “Jill” (All above are linked to the ‘People’ table.) I would like to have a [D] Current column where I can get “Jack” “Jill” as result of a formula, which should essentially work as D = A - B + C, i.e., D should contain items in either A or C but not B. How can that be done, please?

As you can tell by my question, I am new to Airtable :slightly_smiling_face: How do I rewrite this formula so it does not result in …#ERROR when I don’t have dates in some the cells used in the calculation? Hi, I have a field which I can see in API documentation for the table. https://airtable.com/{app_id}/api/docs#curl/table:{table_name}:fields I don’t see the field in rest of the docs (list/retrieve/create/update). I don’t get the field in the API response either when I’m trying to list records. Table name is 110 characters long, is Single select, string. I’m wondering if the length of the field name is the reasoning of the missing field. I would like to know what to do to get the field in API response.

Hi All, I have a base that acts as a Property Management System with multiple tables. Two of those tables are the “Contracts” table and “Bills” Table. I have been using the new scripting block to streamline all of the daily processes: Recording new payments received and issuing receipts, creating customised reports of income/outstanding bills reports, by City/Property/Tenant reports …etc. I am finally at the last step where i am attempting to create a script that prompts the user to insert all of the relevant contract information and creates a new contract record in my “Contracts” table, and then also automatically adds corresponding bills (in the Bills table) in the wanted frequency (i.e: 12 bills of monthly rental payments with due dates and amounts), and finally links them to the contract. However, I am getting a strange behavior when adding the bills. The creation of the contract record works just fine but when the script attempts to add the bills I get the following error: Syntax

I would like to add a field for each line created (each line represents a new client, with a new job) where i can add some secret informations that i don’t want to share with the other person. I’m so confused using the Dedupe block. It doesn’t MERGE anything. It just keeps the primary record. Let’s say I have a table with Name, Email, Phone, Address, and Transactions. I select find dups records as Name and Email, 2 Records appear. has the phone and transactions. has the address How do I merge the address into record 1 or the phone and transactions into record 2. So I only have one records the with Name, Email, Phone, Address, and Transactions. What am I overlooking?
