I have a PLACES table with an address (string) field I have a GPS table with an address (string) field and a Link to PLACE How can I set the PLACE fileld according to the address ? I can do it in NodeJS Caching all the PLACES Then finding the matching address But would be better to use a kind of “reverse rollup”

Hi all, I am trying to create a weighted pipeline in one of my bases and getting stuck on the formulas. I have a single select field Opportunity Status and I’ve created a nested IF formula to return a value based on each status: IF({Opportunity Status}=“Committed”,“1”,IF({Opportunity Status}=“Convincing”,".8",IF({Opportunity Status}=“Cultivating”,".4",IF({Opportunity Status}=“Engaging”,".1",IF({Opportunity Status}=“Received in Full”,“1”,IF({Opportunity Status}=“Received in Part”,“1”,“0”)))))) The formula itself works, but it’s not recognizing the values as numbers and the format option won’t let me change it. I need the field to be recognized as numbers so that I can make a second formula field that multiplies the Opportunity Amount by the result returned by the first field to show the weighted value (e.g., $100,000 at Opportunity Stage=Convincing should be multiplied by .8 and return $80,000.) Does anyone know how to do this or another work around?

Hi, Hope someone can help. My head is bursting. I have created a childcare system in Airtable. Everything was based on hourly costs so all calculations from payments were easy, number of hrs * hourly rate. I’m now told that there is a monthly deduction. Other than using grouping to show monthly costs, I have no way of adding “Monthly” as everything is a rolling total of hrs How can I do this ? is it possible to modify the SUM on the grouping to add field ? Any help appreciated Jason

I have a table where we have products defined something like: Product name | Client | Other product info In another table, we have the columns: Products selected | Client You select multiple products for Products selected and the Client column is a lookup. However, the same client shows up multiple times in the Client field if more than one of their products is selected. Is there a way to show any given client a single time in the Client field? I had hoped that using a new field, Client unique with the ARRAYUNIQUE function would do it. But ARRAYUNIQUE only seems to work on numeric arrays. Any idea how to accomplish this? Thanks.

I have 2 tables: Table 1 is a list of every country in the world Table 2 is every possible 3 letter combination of the English alphabet (all 3 character strings) My goal is to see how many countries contain each 3-letter string. I linked each of the 3-letter strings to every country, then performed an ARRAYJOIN(): UPPER(ARRAYJOIN(Countries)) Then I used FIND() to find all occurances of the Permutation in the Array: FIND(Permutation,{Country Array}) The FIND field is returning way more results than expected. Hi- I am moving an application from Fieldbook to Airtable, FB has lovely formulas that allow the user to look thru a link to a table and perform any formula on that table, similar to rollups but with more functionality. Recreating my systems in airtable, i am stuck on one i can’t work out. i have a table of entries called 'table2 and want to find ‘price’ in the last entry. In fieldbook it’s simple: last(table2.price) I am not finding any equivalent in Airtable. there are various other data points in the row on table2, including a sequential integer field called ‘ownership Number’ where the ‘last’ would also be the ‘max’ however i am unable to get a formula to work in a rollup that says 'lookup ‘price’ on ‘table 2’ for the row with the max ‘ownership number’ Any suggestions?

The batch update block does not seem to allow selection of image fields for update. I plan to import 2000 records into a table. THEN I need to import 2000 images whose names match via the record ID as primary photos. THEN I need to import 2000 more images whose names match via the record ID as secondary photos. etc Cannot see where this may be possible in AirTable

Is it possible to hide fields in a view on the mobile app? I’ve searched the forums and couldn’t find anything. I’ve also dug through help files and nothing mentioning that you can’t do it. Am I just being dense, or is this not something you can do on the mobile version of the app? Thanks!

Hello, I would like to send daily recurring reminder emails to my team members. I would like the email to be formatted to include the task due and also include specific fields that I have created including multiple select fields and due date. For example, within a table, “tasks”, I have a view which is filtered to include a single team members tasks grouped by due date and a multiple select field identifying the “importance” of a task, either “low, moderate, and high”. I have a formula column which prints the text “send reminder” if the due date field is today’s date: “IF({Due Date}=TODAY(), “send reminder”, “”)” I have set up a Zapier trigger using the “scheduler” zap, which is scheduled to trigger every morning at 5am. Next, I set up a Airtable action, “find record”, to search for the value of “send reminder” in the table. I then set up an action for gmail to send an email to the team member. Hello, I am trying forms in Airtable… I want my user to select number of his brothers from a dropdown list of 5 numbers: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. If he/she chooses 4, then display 4 groups of 7 text inputs like name, last name, occupation, dob, email, business, mobile number. same for 0,1,2,3. if 0, then jump to next dropdown of sisters and do same process & next children. I’m looking at removing all collaborators from a cell. I have attempted to send different variations of data and always receive 422. I’ve tried to: Update the field with an empty string: ‘’ Update the field with an empty json: {} Update the field with an empty record: {‘id’ : ‘’ } I can always update it correctly with {‘id’ : ‘usrXXXXXXXXXX’} I know I can send a valid request but I can’t send a valid request to clear the cell. The cell is clearable in Airtable on the web interface, so I believe it can be done but the API documentation doesn’t say how to clear a cell with PATCH. Using PUT seems drastic to update a single cell by sending all the other data except that cells data. For reference, most field types are an empty string apart from the checkbox which is the string “false”.

I am trying to write a function that allows me to add a set of numbers if a specific criteria has been met. EX: SUM (IF {Category 1} = “widget”, value {Cost 1})+(IF{Category 2} = “widget”, value {Cost 2})+(IF{Category 3} = “widget”, value {Cost 3})+(IF{Category 4} = “widget”, value {Cost 4}) (I’m not even sure if an IF function can be used this way.) I also don’t know if I should be using a rollup table or something else, given that this data would be on a separate sheet. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I’m trying to roll up linked records from multiple columns and return only the unique ones (ideally in record form, not string). For my example imagine I have different car models that can have different packages of wheels, chassis, and accessories. Each of those have separate tables where they have keywords associated with each package. I’d like to display a unique list of keywords associated with each car model that is a rollup of ALL the unique keywords associated with all 3 packages associated with each car. I’ve tried 3 solutions on the far right but I’m running into a few challenges: CONCATENATE({Keywords-Wheels},", “,{Keywords-Chassis},”, ",{Keywords-Accessories}). My solutions are returning strings. Is it not possible to return the actual records so they’re linked? I have commas with empty spaces in between for cases where columns may not have any tags associated ARRAYUNIQUE({Keywords-Wheels},{Keywords-Chassis},{Keywords-Accessories}). HI, I have a guest list for an event and want only the last /recent entered values to remain. Unique identifier is guest name guest code as F1,F2,F3,F4,F5. Suppose guest F2 again enters the form after 10 days with new arrival date and departure date - then he previous entry one should be hidden from my sheet and only this be considered in all rollups/lookups/linking.formula etc. I shall calculate rooms required, catering etc when guests enter arrival/departure/no.of persons etc. data using a form When there are two entries in the form for same guest, say F2 - I want the Last modified time to be picked up /maybe in a different view and the first one should be hidden and out of my calculations. Effectively- Duplicates in the same column (F2, F2) need to be removed and only the value (F2) with last modified time should remain. With this feature- I allow guests to change their plan/date/no.of persons requirement in future by entering their guest code.

I’m new to AirTable. One of our vendors has provided us with a shared view that I want to automate downloading via the API with a C# console app. All of the documentation I see refers to a base ID, and I’m able to get the sample APIs to work. But our view doesn’t have a base. When I go to the URL directly, I simply get a password prompt. Entering that, I get access to the grid/view. I’m looking for a little guidance for how to connect to our page via the API. Thanks

Hi all, I’m using Airtable to make a list of contacts for conflict checking in a law firm. I made a single table of all “contacts” including both people and organizations, and added some basic info like phone numbers, emails, etc. I also added a column which says “contact type” and splits the contacts into people or organizations. I want to be able to list the individuals who make up or work for organizations. I did this by making a new column called “members” and linking it to the same “contacts” table. Then I type in and select individuals’ names. However, I don’t want to be able to list individuals as members of other individuals. Can I write a formula by which an individual is unable to be added as a “member” of another individual? If you’re wondering why I don’t separate individuals and organizations into distinct tables–the reason is because (1) it will be easier to search a single table and (2) I also want (and made) a separate “cases” table which has a column for clients a

I’m about to develop a public view of our entire product database, which is one Airtable base of around 2000 records. Right now we’re having something like that in place, but basically just as an embedded view (the standard Airtable functionality) – but we’d like to enhance this public view, hence the custom developing need of it. The functionality of our public view will have to enable filtering all of the products on multiple levels – e.g. product category, price range, colour … you name it. Since this will be a public view, and hitting the api limits would happen easily with around 2000 records (I guess), I believe some sort of caching of the entire base data is in order. My main question is: how, and in what way? My first thought is to poll for the Airtable base at like an hourly interval, and saving all that data in one json file, then reading that json file on the client side with vue.js and outputting it in a gallery sort of way, with all the filters in place. Hello everyone, I use Airtable to manage projects and elements (Balcony, Terrace, Stairs, Separator Screen) in projects. I look for a method to automatically create drawings numbers. Indeed in elements table I have a link to projects table and for each element I create a drawing. I want drawings numbers drawing like this: ProjectNumber-ElementCode-Number the numbers is reset for each different element in same project. Example: Project1-Balcony A-01 Project1-Balcony A-02 Project1-Terrace X-01 Project1-Terrace X-02 Project2-Balcony A-01 Project2-Balcony A-02 Project1-Terrace X-01 So, as you see, the numbers at the end are reset for each element in same project, and reset between project.
