Hello! I need some help of this community because I lack the knowledge to develop formulas. I trying to create an automated financial system using some linked tables inside a base. I have expenses categorized in a field with the options ‘‘Credit’’ and ‘‘Debit’’, which I use to separate the payment methods. The expenses also have a ‘‘Date’’ field and a ‘‘Cost’’ field. I want to create a field using a formula that brings me the data from the ‘‘Cost’’ field if the expense is payed in ‘‘Credit’’ within a specific month (actual month) in order to separate this values so I can link them to another table and use a simple SUM formula to calculate my total expenses in Credit for the actual month. So its something like: If method of payment = Credit, If date = actual month, ‘‘cost’’ I know I could simply use a filter view to see only ‘‘Credit’’ records, but as the data will be linked to another table for other operations, I cant. I would be extremely grateful if you could help me in this!

Hey all, I am relatively new to using Airtable and I need some help getting these two formulas to work together (they work fine on their own) in 1 field so I can keep track of shipping dates based on 2 conditions. My ultimate ship date needs to always return the Saturday date 3 weeks after the original date {RFP Request Date}. If there is no attachment in {RFP Print} and no date in {RFP Request Date}, I want it to show a blank cell. If one of those cells is filled in, then I don’t mind it returning an #ERROR! . Also how do you remove the time stamp for the formula since I do not need it? Hello, I have a question. I have a table for sales and inventory. I’m creating kind of a master page that keeps track of number by each month. I have columns that Rollup the ‘Amount Spent’ and the ‘Amount Made’. I’m just trying to create another Rollup column that calculates the Profit/Loss by subtracting the total amount spent from the amount made. Is this possible? Each row has data for a specific month. Hopefully i’m explaining it correctly! Thanks in advance

I regularly pull reports from multiple systems that include product IDs. These IDs are always a series of letters followed by numbers (e.g., ABC 123, WXYZ 9876). The number of letters can vary between 3 and 6 characters and the same goes for the numbers. The problem I’m having is that in one system, there is no space within the ID (e.g., ABC123) while in the other system, there is always a space between the letters and numbers (e.g., ABC 123). Since the number of characters can vary, I’m having trouble finding a formula that basically looks at the cell and adds a space when it finds a number. Any help is appreciated! Update: If it helps, this formula is what does what I’m looking for in Excel =TRIM(REPLACE(A2,MIN(FIND({1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0},A2&“1234567890”)),0," ")) TRIM, REPLACE, and FIND all exist in Airtable but I’m not sure how to use FIND to search for any combination of items (e.g., 1 OR 2 OR 3…) like you can in the above Excel formula.

Hi, This is my first time using Airtable, started just today. I’ve been trying to find an answer but have so far been unsuccessful. Is it possible to create a multi step/section/tab form? What I mean is - I have 5 topics (as shown below), a user can navigate to the next section only if s/he completes the previous section/tab. Each section/tab has a set of different types of questions, along with a next/previous buttons. Profile Customer Service Brand Awareness Product/Service Quality Gift! Can I design the placement of fields? At the moment, everything is vertical - 6 rows, 1 column (couldn’t post image). I’d actually like 3 rows and 2 columns. New to Airtable and trying to figure everything out. I have a base to keep track of inventory and sales. I have it set up where if I enter the platform it sold on, the formula in the next column will calculate the fees. For example, if I enter “Ebay” it calculates that the fees will be 9% of the selling price, and so forth. The issue is that the this value wont show up as currency ($) and won’t allow me to change it because it’s saying “Your result type is not a number or a date. Formatting options are currently only available if your result type is a number or a date.” Although it is a number. It’s just showing as a decimal rather than a dollar amount. Any suggestions? This is the formula used in the column. It is calculating the correct amounts, just not in currency. When attempting to use the PATCH method in Google Apps Script , I get an error INVALID_REQUEST_UNKNOWN . I’m able to do a POST and GET request. Tested my credentials using CURL and this worked. Hello everyone, I am an Airtable newbie, so I apologize if this has been asked before, should be obvious, etc. I am currently working on a table where we have 6 checkbox fields for each field record. If I have 10 records, there are a potential of 60 checkboxes that can be checked. I am trying to find a way to summarize how many of the 60 checkboxes have been checked (ideally by percentage, but number would work too). Hi I need to get results in days : hours bettwen to dates. Hi all! I’ve run into an odd issue that I’m hoping someone out there has found a workaround for :slightly_smiling_face: I have a table consisting of recurring tasks, where each task is assigned a value ($). A zap creates assignments based on those tasks and values in a separate table. I need to be able to override the value of the task in the new table; which is pretty straightforward… but I’m running into issues if I want to override the price to be $0.00. Airtable seems to treat Currency fields (and probably number fields too, haven’t tested it) the same whether they are BLANK() or have a value of $0.00. Here is the formula I’m using (in a rollup field): IF({Override Task Price}, {Override Task Price}, SUM(values)/{Step Count}) Has anyone found a way to force Airtable to recognize ANY entry in a Currency field, even if it’s $0.00?

Hi All, I am trying to go around this nested formula and hope someone could help me try understand why is not working. I have three {columns} that indicate if a condition is either 1 or 0. Hello, I’m trying to make a formula that counts the difference between start date and end date, however if end date is blank calculate the difference between start date, and current date. Sorry if it sounds simple, i’m very new to airtable! Thanks Matt

Hello, I have a table of People. Each person is linked to a Property via a lookup field. I want to add a field to the People table that assigns them a value based on which Property they’re linked to and when their Date Created is. So for example: for all the People in the table who are linked to 123 Main St, I want the first (by Date Created) 100 records to have the value of 1, the next 100 People records to have the value of 2, and so on. Does anyone have any ideas for how to go about doing this? Thanks so much!

I’d like to be able to generate a phrase that puts all these numbers and field names together as text. xfieldname is the name of the column. Hi, I have a table with 3 columns, “Usage”, “Clients” and “Status”. “Usage” is a single select and can only be “Platform” or “Client”. “Clients” is a link record that allows me to select multiple client records from another table. “Status” is a lookup field returning the status of each client from the client field, it displays the results in a comma separated list. Possible values for “Status” are “Live”, “Suspended” and “Terminated”. I’m tracking some healthy practices every day: Exercise = Multiple Select (Running, Pushups, Squats) Mediation = Duration Healthy Food = Checkbox And some negative practices: Alcohol = Number If Exercise is not empty, I want the Formula to return +1 If Meditation is greater than 0:10, I want the Formula to return +1 If Healthy Food is checked, I want the Formula to return +1 If 2 of these are True, I want to return 2 If 3 of these are True, I want to return 3 If alcohol is greater than 1, I want to subtract 1. Hi, I am new to Airtable and am trying to build a query that will act like a global search across multiple columns. Our members table has the following columns {‘Full Name’,‘Phone’,‘Email’} that I would like to search. I want to have a single search field on our site to look up members by either their Full Name, Phone, or Email. With the below personas in mind… Client: company we’re working with Event: the event we’re doing for them Contributor: an individual (outside of our company or the client’s) who is helping to put on the event I am able to store the following relationships between: Clients and Events. One client can have many events. Contributors and Events. One contributor can have many events. Events and Contributors. One event can have many contributors. However, I also need to be able to store additional information about each Contributor’s performance at each Event (e.g. rating, comments, fee, etc.). I tried to create a fourth table to store the ‘additional’ information about a Contributor’s Event performance with the below columns, but I can’t seem to get one row for each relationship. Instead, I am seeing multiple Campaigns for each Contributor (which is already stored elsewhere). OK, hope someone can help here: I have a table names “ProdCo” - companies I’m following: In this table, I have a field named “Owner” - that links to a table - same name - where I put, among other things - email addresses: I now want to target certain companies for a sales initiative. I made a “check box” field in “ProdCo.” table to tag these companies. My question: How can I most efficiently generate a list of these Companies with their owners with their email addresses, I cannot for the life of me figger that out.
