I have a Base with a Table for each week. Every week, I add a new Table with a new set of data for that week. I need a Summary Table that pulls from the same column in each of the weekly Tables. Any suggestions? The less I have to configure each week, the better. Seems like a simple function!? Thanks!

I am have two tables. In table 1, I have: a (non-primary) field with 3 single select options (let’s call it field A) a field linked to records in table 2 (field B) In table 2 , I have: the table’s primary field, from field B in table 1 (field C) a field that counts the number of linked records (field D) I would like to filter the field that counts the number of linked records (field C) in table 2 so it only counts for one of the 3 single select field (field A) in table 1. I looked around the forum, and some answers seemed to deal with the same issue but I could not get any to work for my case.

I am new to Airtable and trying to use lookup to pull first and last names based on an ID number in a table (called log) that will be constantly receiving new records. I have a second table set up with all of the ID numbers, first names, and last names that is linked, and the lookup set for the first and last name fields. However, with the lookup I am only getting the names for the first occurrence of an ID and they are not loading for any new records that are created. I have the settings enabled to allow linking to multiple records. How can I get it so that the first and last name automatically load for all records.

Hi all, I’m currently struggling with a thorny Airtable formula issue. I think I need to be considering using a nested IF statement or a SWITCH formula, but i’m not 100% convinced that either will work. Here’s my problem statement… I need to analyse the outputs of five columns, each of which is populated by a unique, formula-generated text value. Based on different combinations of these text values, I need to display a different summary sentence. I am looking for a way to use the REPLACE() formula function to replace values in a Multi-select column with different values on a new column. For example: The original column contains column Type of question with multi-select values bug-report, enhancement. Can we create a new column called Type of question (new) with the corresponding new values: bug-report-new and enhancement-new?

Hi, I cleaned my browser data and now I am missing two bases in one of my workspaces and a whole other workspace. Why? Only one base is left with a tag ‘bases shared with me’. It is MY base. I had important date in there which I need for work! If it has sth to do with my chrome cookies & temp cleaning, then why one base was left intact? I really need help here! Regards, Magda

Hi, I’m working on automating multiple maintenance tasks in my base, but this one got me stuck … I’ve come to realize I need Zapier and a multi-step Zap (find record, then update record etc.), but I have not been able to figure out how to proceed from there. My workflow today: When some criterias are met (the PastDueDate?-field is “Yes” and the DeviceUsedBefore-field is empty) the record shows in a view (Projects --> TriggerView). I get a Slack notification, open the view and cut the linked record from DevicesUseNow to DeviceUsedBefore. So, when DueDate is in the past I need the linked record (in the example base; DeviceB) to “move” from the DevicesUseNow-field to the DeviceUsedBefore-field. We have an airtable with several hundred records, and we need to print it to a large format wall display. I am attaching a draft of the formatting we are trying for. Our goal is to output a timeline in this format—in columns of 3-5 entries deep. Our goal is also to have the items print with a color coded header block (see example) for each of 4 different categories. Each entry in the finished print has 5 fields—Name, visual, Year, description, and category. Visuals need to print in full- not arbitrarily cropped.

This ought to be really simple but I cannot suss it. I’ve looked at the help files for functions and also for nested if statements and no doubt the answer is in there, but I’m missing it. I have a little to-do base. Task records have two date fields: Do_On and Do_By. A task can have values in one or both or neither of the fields. I’d like to look at the stuff on a calendar so I need a single date field I can map to the calendar. Do_On takes higher priority than Do_By, so in plain English, I’d like a calc that looks something like this: If both Do_On and Do_By are empty, then return Blank() If Do_On is NOT empty, return Do_On If Do_By is NOT empty, return Do_By I’ve tried various things but can’t make it work. For example I’m told this is invalid: If ( Do_On != Blank() ; Do_On ; Blank () ) Of course that’s not all I want but I thought I’d try just that much, but still, no luck. I have about 300 images that I will need to convert. Trying to set 1st field as a formula with IF statement. I currently have: Bill & " - " & DATETIME_FORMAT({Due Date}, “ll”) I have another table for bills paid on irregular date (non due date). Without the Due Date being filled in I get an Error in the formula. I’d like to have the formula show IF Due Date Empty, date paid Thank you.

I’ve been searching throughout the forums but couldn’t find the answer to this question. I currently have an “Interactions” table where I capture the date of the interaction and link it to a contact record in the “Contacts” table. I also have a field in the Interactions table where I select the type of interaction e.g. Meeting, Phone Call, Email, Task. What I would like to do in the “Contacts” table is create a view to capture servicing items. One of those is to capture the last date I held a meeting with a specific contact. Is there a way I could create a field in the “Contacts” table to automatically pull the last date I had a meeting with that contact from the interactions table? I can easily pull the last interaction date with the contact using a rollup field with the formula Max(Values) but I would like to specify interactions that are of the Meeting type only so it doesn’t pull the other types such as Phone Calls, Emails etc.

When Gross Profit percent is: 0%: Formula is: 0% gross profit: 1-15% formula reads: 1-15% 16-25%… 26-45%… and so on up to 100% Trying to group all gross profits based on the percent for graphing purposes.

Hi, I am using Airtable for blog management. I currently have a table with blog title, subject, date published, etc., etc., I want to add an SEO checklist to my base. Obviously I can add it in this same table but the size is getting cumbersome. I would like to figure out how to auto-populate a second table with just the blog title, and then the SEO items following. Is this possible? Thanks!

I have a table of projects, and a table of tasks, and I can create new tasks within a project by entering them directly in the column linked to the tasks table. First of all I’m curious if this is the best way to do things, since technically I’m creating a many-to-many join where I can have tasks that are unassociated, or tasks that are associated with several projects, both of which I have no intention of ever doing; I only want each project to have 0 or more tasks that are strictly associated with that one project. More importantly though, when I finish a task I created a checkbox field on the task called “complete” which I would like to cause my task to be hidden from the tasks field in the projects table. I had assumed that creating a view of incomplete tasks in the tasks table (which I did, and it works fine), then checking the “Limit record selection to a view” and selecting the incomplete task view, would do exactly what I want. So, my first question on this forum :smiling_face_with_halo: I have a base with 2 tables: Table 1 deals with applications for following trainings. Table 2 has an overview of all personal details. Table 1 John | training 1 | formal (training) | man (lookup field from table 2) Sara | training 2 | formal | woman Eddy | training 3 | informal | man John | training 4 | informal | man Table 2 John | man | training 1, training 4 Sara | woman | training 2 Eddy | man | training 3 Question: I want to know if (so yes/no or 1/0) John, Sara and Eddy followed (a) any formal trainings and (b) any informal trainings. No idea how to get this done. Eg: 2 extra columns: “formal” and “informal” that states “yes” or “no” of “1” or “0”. I don’t need to know how many formal/informal trainings they did, just if they did any at all, but conditionalized on the factor formal vs informal. Thank you in advance!

I am trying to update a column that is linked to another record. None of the other fields in the base are linked to another record, and all of those will update. I get an error only when I add the field that is linked to another record. I am using Shortcuts on iOS. I’m having an issue with logging into this forum. I log in to two different accounts on my computer, one is my boss’s, and the other is my own personal account. (Right now I’m actually on my boss’s, which is the issue.) I’m trying to log into my own account, (Helen Vaskevitch), but every time I log out and then back in again, it automatically logs me into my boss’s account (Don Chaffer). It never gives me a log in screen. I don’t have this problem with the actual airtable accounts, just with the forum accounts. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. How can I fix this and log into my person account on the forum?

I am using airtable to make a rota I have a table of doctors and a separate table for each month of the year A field in the month table links to the doctors table so i can put a doctor’s name in that day i would like to count how many on calls each doctor does more specifically, i would like to count weekdays, weekends and public holidays separately to that end, i created another table that links to the dates on the month table and classes each day as a weekend, weekday or public holiday i know the information is there - if i select a doctor from the doctors table, the linked field to the month table contains a list of dates that doctor is on call but how can i count those dates and even count them based on whether they’re a weekend or not etc? i’ve been trying for a few hours now, messing about with rollups, new tables and copious google/forum searching, but have got nowhere sorry if this is badly worded (for some reason i can’t attach the screenshots i’ve taken - the webform wont let

Hey Guys, Looking for some suggestions/guidance on how to create an expense tracking system that reports on expenses against budgeted amount. Our company is a theatre. We produce 6 shows per year. Each show we spend money in about 100 accounts. Our accountants use ‘accounts’ and ‘CLASSES’ where classes are the shows. I’m interested in building a system with: Expense Entry Budgeted Amounts Entry (by Show, by account) A Report page that summarizes expenses {by show, by account} AND subtracts that total from the Budgeted amount, to show how much is spent against the budget. I’ve figured out how to view the summary {by show, by account} using “Group”, but I don’t know how to then use that info to do math, against budgeted amount. It looks possible to do this with the PivotTable Block, but I’m trying to keep to the budget version of AirTable. I’d link to my working draft airtable, but I’m not sure how. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

How can I hide the EMPTY rows in the grid view? I am trying to group by month and it shows a blank line after each grouping. Takes up too much space and looks messy. Can I also get rid of the “Count” on the right side as well – just looks like clutter to me.
