Trying to set 1st field as a formula with IF statement. I currently have: Bill & " - " & DATETIME_FORMAT({Due Date}, “ll”) I have another table for bills paid on irregular date (non due date). Without the Due Date being filled in I get an Error in the formula. I’d like to have the formula show IF Due Date Empty, date paid Thank you.

I’ve been searching throughout the forums but couldn’t find the answer to this question. I currently have an “Interactions” table where I capture the date of the interaction and link it to a contact record in the “Contacts” table. I also have a field in the Interactions table where I select the type of interaction e.g. Meeting, Phone Call, Email, Task. What I would like to do in the “Contacts” table is create a view to capture servicing items. One of those is to capture the last date I held a meeting with a specific contact. Is there a way I could create a field in the “Contacts” table to automatically pull the last date I had a meeting with that contact from the interactions table? I can easily pull the last interaction date with the contact using a rollup field with the formula Max(Values) but I would like to specify interactions that are of the Meeting type only so it doesn’t pull the other types such as Phone Calls, Emails etc.

Not sure how to title this, too early to think of the proper name - but this is what I’m trying to accomplish and I can get one percent to work but the others fill in with Error or NaN. When Gross Profit percent is: 0%: Formula is: 0% gross profit: 1-15% formula reads: 1-15% 16-25%… 26-45%… and so on up to 100% Trying to group all gross profits based on the percent for graphing purposes.

Hi, I am using Airtable for blog management. I currently have a table with blog title, subject, date published, etc., etc., I want to add an SEO checklist to my base. Obviously I can add it in this same table but the size is getting cumbersome. I would like to figure out how to auto-populate a second table with just the blog title, and then the SEO items following. Is this possible? Thanks!

I have a table of projects, and a table of tasks, and I can create new tasks within a project by entering them directly in the column linked to the tasks table. First of all I’m curious if this is the best way to do things, since technically I’m creating a many-to-many join where I can have tasks that are unassociated, or tasks that are associated with several projects, both of which I have no intention of ever doing; I only want each project to have 0 or more tasks that are strictly associated with that one project. More importantly though, when I finish a task I created a checkbox field on the task called “complete” which I would like to cause my task to be hidden from the tasks field in the projects table. I had assumed that creating a view of incomplete tasks in the tasks table (which I did, and it works fine), then checking the “Limit record selection to a view” and selecting the incomplete task view, would do exactly what I want. So, my first question on this forum :smiling_face_with_halo: I have a base with 2 tables: Table 1 deals with applications for following trainings. Table 2 has an overview of all personal details. Table 1 John | training 1 | formal (training) | man (lookup field from table 2) Sara | training 2 | formal | woman Eddy | training 3 | informal | man John | training 4 | informal | man Table 2 John | man | training 1, training 4 Sara | woman | training 2 Eddy | man | training 3 Question: I want to know if (so yes/no or 1/0) John, Sara and Eddy followed (a) any formal trainings and (b) any informal trainings. No idea how to get this done. Eg: 2 extra columns: “formal” and “informal” that states “yes” or “no” of “1” or “0”. I don’t need to know how many formal/informal trainings they did, just if they did any at all, but conditionalized on the factor formal vs informal. Thank you in advance!

I am trying to update a column that is linked to another record. None of the other fields in the base are linked to another record, and all of those will update. I get an error only when I add the field that is linked to another record. I am using Shortcuts on iOS. This is the error I get: {“error”:{“type”:“INVALID_VALUE_FOR_COLUMN”,“message”:“Value is not an array of record IDs.”}} I have zero experience with APIs, but truly appreciate any help!

I’m having an issue with logging into this forum. I log in to two different accounts on my computer, one is my boss’s, and the other is my own personal account. (Right now I’m actually on my boss’s, which is the issue.) I’m trying to log into my own account, (Helen Vaskevitch), but every time I log out and then back in again, it automatically logs me into my boss’s account (Don Chaffer). It never gives me a log in screen. I don’t have this problem with the actual airtable accounts, just with the forum accounts. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. How can I fix this and log into my person account on the forum?

I have a date column called Entry with a time field, and I want a column which just contains AM or PM based off the corresponding value in Entry. I seem to only get back AM with this formula: DATETIME_FORMAT(Entry,‘A’) Thanks!

I am using airtable to make a rota I have a table of doctors and a separate table for each month of the year A field in the month table links to the doctors table so i can put a doctor’s name in that day i would like to count how many on calls each doctor does more specifically, i would like to count weekdays, weekends and public holidays separately to that end, i created another table that links to the dates on the month table and classes each day as a weekend, weekday or public holiday i know the information is there - if i select a doctor from the doctors table, the linked field to the month table contains a list of dates that doctor is on call but how can i count those dates and even count them based on whether they’re a weekend or not etc? i’ve been trying for a few hours now, messing about with rollups, new tables and copious google/forum searching, but have got nowhere sorry if this is badly worded (for some reason i can’t attach the screenshots i’ve taken - the webform wont let

Hey Guys, Looking for some suggestions/guidance on how to create an expense tracking system that reports on expenses against budgeted amount. Our company is a theatre. We produce 6 shows per year. Each show we spend money in about 100 accounts. Our accountants use ‘accounts’ and ‘CLASSES’ where classes are the shows. I’m interested in building a system with: Expense Entry Budgeted Amounts Entry (by Show, by account) A Report page that summarizes expenses {by show, by account} AND subtracts that total from the Budgeted amount, to show how much is spent against the budget. I’ve figured out how to view the summary {by show, by account} using “Group”, but I don’t know how to then use that info to do math, against budgeted amount. It looks possible to do this with the PivotTable Block, but I’m trying to keep to the budget version of AirTable. I’d link to my working draft airtable, but I’m not sure how. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

How can I hide the EMPTY rows in the grid view? I am trying to group by month and it shows a blank line after each grouping. Takes up too much space and looks messy. Can I also get rid of the “Count” on the right side as well – just looks like clutter to me.

Is there a way to control the order of information that appears when I expand a row view? I have a sheet of customers linked to a sheet of contact information and a sheet of interactions. I would like the contact information to show first when I expand the row in the primary sheet, but the interactions are showing above the contact information. Is there a way to change this? Thanks.

I have a table with shipment tracking ID and Carrier, so i want following solutions. if Carrier = Fedex then “track1” if Carrier = DHL then “track2” if Carrier = Blue Dart then “track3” if Carrier = DTDC then “track4” if Carrier = FedexLite then “track5” I can do it with basic if function but got stuck with multiple conditions.

I have table with pin code, city and state, Have second table with contacts In contact record, if I type pin code then how can I get city and state value filled in related field from linked table, IF function not works for me as pin codes are 26k records.

I want my applicant tracking system to automatically load the rows FOR THE CURRENT MONTH. I want all other entries hidden somehow. Users send in entries via a form, the data is sent to a base, and then staff members operate on the data. But there should be some way to set DEFAULT views so that the entire 1000+ rows are not loaded each time. How do I do this?

Ideally, GET requests would be sent daily (or 2x a day) to the feed and records updated accordingly using the AirTable API. Tried using Zapier Webhooks but I can’t get it working :frowning: Any ideas?

Hi all, My goal is to display in Field 2 the first occurring month (in a year) based on the pulled months from Field 1 (lookup field). Rather than using date formulas (tables are a little more complicated), I’m trying to create a formula to capture with strings: IF(FIND("January",{Field 1})>1, "January,",IF(FIND("February",{Field 1})>1,"February,",IF(FIND("March",{Field 1})>1, "March,",IF(FIND("April",{Field 1})>1, "April,")))) However as you can see from the screenshot, my formula is outputting the farthest right month in the lookup field - first record is showing March when it should be February. My initial design was to use the nested IF formula to work chronologically… but doesn’t seem to be working as I intended. For this example I’m only using four months of the year, but will build out the formula with the remaining 8 once I figure this out. Any help appreciated!

Hi all, I’m sure I’m just missing something easy but here is my problem. I have an employee start date field and a field with numbers of days. I have tasks that need to be done 5 days before the employee starts, 1 day before the employee starts, and so on and so forth. So I want to calculate a field using the Start Day and Number of Days to calculate the Due Date of the task based upon number of days. So if my start date is 6/20/19 and my Number of days field is -5, I want a formula to return 6/15/19. I have tried the formula below but I get NaN returned. Thanks for any guidance and help! Hi! I have little to no knowledge on spreadsheet formulas and codes, so the formula function of Airtable baffles me. Thus, I am completely floored on trying to figure out how to create an IF Formula on a 4th column based on the data of 3 other Columns/Fields. I’m creating a database for art collections, and I am trying to keep record of what artwork goes where. Thus, I have 3 columns, “Buyer,” “Shelf Location” (in the gallery), and “Exhibition” (where the artwork is loaned for an exhibit). I am making a 4th column that makes for a quicker view for other people looking at the database and I want it to reflect the following: IF({Buyer}!=0, “Sold,” IF({Shelf Location}!=0, “Inventory,” IF({Exhibition}!=0, “On Loan”)) But when I input this formula or some variations of it (I tried adding AND/OR), I always get an error. By the way, “Buyer” and “Exhibition” columns are linked to other columns for further details on the matter. I really appreciate anyone who can help! Thank you!

Hi everyone, I’m struggling to nest an IF formula that would apply a sales commission % to any other agents that make a sale. Current Formula: IF({Agent}=“Me”, {Agent}*.24, IF({Agent}="(Help)", {Agent}*.20, IF({Agent}=Blank(), 0,""))) For the Help portion, I currently want it to show that if any Agent in future were to make a sale, then the commission % would be applied to them, regardless of who they are.

Hey folks, I’m trying to make a check in/ out system for a music venue/ studio so they can see which members of staff are on site at any given time. I’ve used two forms where staff can check in and out which populates a table. That side of things is working fine. The following formula shows whether someone is currently checked in: IF(AND({time in},{time out}),"❌",IF(AND({time in},NOT({time out})),"✅",BLANK())) I’d like the formula above to also show an :x: for those who haven’t signed out on a previous day (So the :white_check_mark: s are only for people signed in on the current day). I’ve tried to do this by comparing the most recent check in to the days date using the TODAY() function but it appears to be including the previous day as well (which I really don’t understand). Hopefully that makes sense. I’ve been staring at Airtable for far too long today and might be going mad! Any help will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Ross
