Some of my photos are not loading into airtable and I am wondering if there is a resolution limitation and this is causing me restrictions? Any suggestions?

Hi everyone. I’ve been banging my head against this for a while now and decided to ask the community. In Google Sheets I had a spreadsheet with 2 sheets. One was holding expenditures and with dates, and a formula was used to derive a month and year of the expense. (5/2018, 6/2018, etc). So in an example where I had multiple expenses in a month each would have a separate line with the date, amount (column G), some description, and at the end the ‘month’ formula field (column H). The second sheet had a 1st column of all months/years value since the records began (Column A), and then a SUMIF(Sheet1!H:H,An,Sheet1:G:G) I’ve got the tables set up in AirTable, just trying to get the last table to add up all values of a specified column if another column has the same value as the row’s first column in the new table. Hope this makes sense … Can it be done?

I’m experiencing a condition where typing in a Long Text cell does not produce all letters. Typing the full alphabet (abcde . . . wxyz) produces only the letters “dghjkloqruvwxyz.” This only happens on one computer I have (Windows 7, Chrome browser), and only in Airtable on that computer (Word, Excel, etc. are fine). Typing in other field types (Single Line Text, email, URL) seems to work fine. This happens in my own bases and in the Airtable sample bases I have in my workspace. I’ve tried using a different keyboard on that computer but still experience the issue. I’ve also tried clearing my browser cache and deleting Airtable cookies, etc., and have tried logging out of Airtable and back in. I’m able to type normally in my bases on my Windows 10 laptop. Any thoughts on how I can get my Long Text fields working again? I’ve emailed support. Thanks, Steve

I can’t seem to figure out the syntax to insert that fixed date into the formula: datetime_diff({Date}, [what syntax to make 2019-03-29 a datetime?], ‘days’} Thanks Travis

Hi all, I have a form which asks the user to input student numbers from an excel/google sheet into a long text field. This will happen weekly. How might I take each of these student numbers (separated by a space) and put them onto a separate record (where student number is the primary key) in a separate table? Happy for other suggestions.

Hello Everyone, I’m very new with AirTable and I have been struggling with this formula. I have these 3 different columns: 1) Lead Count, 2) Opportunity Count 3) Total Amount ($). I’m creating a formula to select the Account Status based on these three columns in this way: If Lead Count = 0 --> “Cold” If Lead Count = 1 --> “Aware” If Lead Count >1 --> “Qualified” OR If Opportunity Count >0 --> Opportunity (regardless of Lead Count) If Total Amount ($) > 0 --> Customer (regardless of anything else) How can I put this into a formula?

We are looking to build a risk matrix like the attached graphic using AirTable. The table would be a list of risks with drop-downs to assign the occurrence and probability. That part is easy enough, but then I also want to bin it into the High/Med/Low category based on a lookup table. Still doable. Where my challenge is is formatting the grid to have the appropriate colors. I tried conditional formatting, but it does not carry into the grid, as there’s no option in the color. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Hi guys, I’m new to formulas and having trouble figuring out the correct formula for my needs. I have 4 fields: Sale Total (Currency), Split (multiple select), My Portion (Currency), & Commission (Formula). What I’m trying to get the Commision formula to do: If Split field is empty (none selected) = Calculate 30% of sum from “Sale Total” field. But if there is anything at all selected in the Split field = Calculate the 30% from the “My Portion” field instead. What is the formula to achieve this? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Hi, Is it possible to create multiple records in one API request? The API documents only speak of creating one record at a time. I have a quiz app and want to post the answers (one answer per record) to my AirTable, but since the AirTable API has a rate limit of 5 requests per second, I can’t just dump the answers via multiple requests, so want to post them all at once. Is it possible? Thanks!

I’m trying to work out some hire prices using a formula, where the weekly cost of item is used to calculate the daily cost of it. I have an item that cost me £1000, and I have decided that the weekly hire price is this figure divided by 10, so £100 a week. The daily price is calculated by dividing that by 3, so £33.33. However, I want the spreadsheet to round this up to £33.50. How do I use the ROUND function to do this? At the moment I have: Weekly cost = {Purchase Cost}/10 Then, daily cost = {Weekly Cost}/3 For both, I want it to round to the next 50p. Thanks!

I recently discovered that when I multiply 6.1 * 3, and convert the product to a string using product & “” the result is a string with repeating decimals, even though the numeric result is simply 18.3. This is actually causing a serious problem in my table when formatting prices for invoices. Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Dear Airtable, I am trying to automate something. I am having people submit a form. In this form, Column/Question 2 corresponds to a Multiple Select field where they can select their name from a dropdown. Column/Question 3 is where they input a time and then they hit submit I want the value from Sheet 2 Person A Column 3 to add with the value on Sheet 1 Person A Column 3, value from Sheet 2 Person B Column 3 to add with the value on Sheet 2 Person B Column 3 etc. I have spent the past 3 days trying to figure it out with rollup and I’m still super confused. I have two types of contacts in our CRM. I would like to be able to show certain fields for one type and show other fields for the other type. Is this possible to have this behavior? Thanks.

Let me explain: I’m gathering documents from clients, and I’ve sent them a survey asking them what types of documents they have, and in what form. The survey contained multiple questions along these lines: Do you have documents relating to Topic X? Check all that apply: [ ] Emails [ ] Hard Copy Documents [ ] Electronic Documents As a result, I have many multiple-select Document Category Fields that contain one or more of the “Document Format” responses (e.g., “Emails,” “Hard Copy,” etc.). What I’d like to do is now generate a list for each client of all the documents they said they had, so that I can follow up on each category and ensure that we’ve collected everything they have. I’m writing a php script in which I need to fetch all records from a certain base of about 1000 records (and store them in one array so I can handle some stuff). As I understand the max pageSize is 100, but with the offset it returns and using this as a parameter in your next request you can get the next pages. But this doesn’t seem to really work. I can get a few pages (actually sometimes just one) until it throws the error LIST_RECORDS_ITERATOR_NOT_AVAILABLE on me. I simply never am able to fetch every page. This error always occurs. How can I proceed from this error to be able to fetch every record? Am I missing something? Newbie here. I have a school table with a list of schools, a School district table, and a Contacts table. Schools are linked to school districts. Contacts can be linked to a school OR a school district. What I am trying to do is enter a new contact in the contacts table:. If the contact is related to a school, I choose the school in the school field and the district field is auto-populated If the contact is a district contact (no school) I want to be able to type in or choose the district in the same District field. I don’t know how to accomplish both in the same district field.

Hi there I am just getting started with air table and am stuck on something. Say I have a table which is categories of tasks, and then I want within each category to have actual tasks. Is there a way that I can click on something in the higher level table (a category) and then go to the lower level table, but only see the tasks associated with that category, without having to filter the tasks by the category field? - i.e. it would auto-filter the task table based on what I had clicked on? I know it will seem like, in this situation, it isn’t that hard to just then filter, but this is just an example of how I want to use it - I want to be able to drill-down into data which is all nested.

Hi. I thought i would see if I could execute a simple class booking system where the Airtable booking form was linked to an art class session. Hi, I haven’t seem to come across this on Airtable forums and cannot seem to find the answer across other online communities. While prefilling an Airtable form is pretty straightforward, I’m not sure how to insert a line break into a long text field type. The parameter for the URL to insert a blank space is ‘%20’ or ( ‘+’ ), I’m wondering what the parameter might be for a line break? Any help appreciated. Tom.

Hi, I teach an online course, and I’m using a base to collect files from students for assignments, sort of like a dropbox. I’ve built a form that has required fields, like Name, Student ID Number, and a dropdown menu for choosing which assignment they’re turning in. This works beautifully, except there’s no timestamp associated with their upload of an assignment. So, if I don’t record all of the assignments turned in by the deadline, someone could turn in something late without my knowing it’s late. Is there a way to add a timestamp to a field within a form? Hello! I would like to set up a sort of competition. For example, let’s say I would like to keep track of the number of pushups someone does and reward the person with the most push-ups (assume that no one will lie). I was thinking of the following setup. One table hosting the user’s information, and a second table that contains entries for every single day. I can’t really do a normal linked column because that reveals all of the information of the other participants when I make a form. I tried doing something using the incrementing number field on the users table and then having an ID column on the pushups table but I can’t really find a way to do something like SELECT * FROM pushups WHERE ID=1. Is this too complex for Airtable? I can provide any more information if you need. Thanks

So I have a potential client who would like to embed specific views on his site so the public can view the data, but he doesn’t want the user to be able to sort and group the data. The request seems a little wild to me, but that is what they want and you give the customer what they want! Is there anyway to do this? Currently I am just saying we can send you PDFs and then you can post those on the site, but that obviously isn’t as cool. Does anyone have any better ideas?

I’m trying to create a formula that will list multiple fields that are empty, but can only get it to list a single field. It is meant to be a quick reference field to see what info is not filled out in a row. The goal: IF {Field 1}, {Field 2}, {Field 3} are all empty, but {Field 4} is filled out, then list “Field 1, Field 2, Field 3” Below is my attempt. It only ever lists a single field, seemingly overwriting other values that would be returned. If I introduce OR IF it breaks the formula. Hello. I have product titles which are generated by combining quantity per set, color, and finish. So far, I have managed to write an IF nested formula for the color & finish scenarios: {IDENTITY_Parent Product Name}&IF(OPTION_Color=BLANK(), ‘, ‘&OPTION_Finish&’ Finish’, IF(OPTION_Finish, ‘, ‘&OPTION_Color&’, ‘&OPTION_Finish&’ Finish’, IF(OPTION_Color, ', '&OPTION_Color))) However, I would like to add a scenario at the beginning, that IF the “SET OF” field is >1, it will then write ‘Set Of {Set of}’ right after the {IDENTITY_Parent Product Name}. For that part, I wrote the following: IF({FEATURES_QTY Per SKU}>1, {IDENTITY_Parent Product Name}&’, Set Of '&{FEATURES_QTY Per SKU} The challenge I am having is that any way I tried to combine either I would get an error, or it would stop reading if it found the Set Of >1, whereas I want the formula to not stop reading there but continue on and apply the rest of it to have a result where we
