Hi everyone, I am trying to do a lookup from another lookup. To illustrate my request, I have created this base The first field is the close family relationship to Mister A. Mister A has parents and children > Linked record fields Mister A has Grand parents, Brothers and sisters, Uncles and aunts > Look-up fields But I can’t create a lookup from another lookup to have a field with Mister A’s Cousins. Can someone can help me to create a look-up or a formula to display Mr. A’s cousins in a new field. Thanks in advance. Thibaud -

Hello, I need to download a CSV file, displaying the name of the attached files of an Attachment field (without the link). Do you know how to display only the name of the attached documents ? Thanks a lot for your help ! Milarépa

Without going to Google sheets, how can I format an imported date/time from 2019-09-06 7:52 PM in the formula field to 9/06/2019 7:52 PM? Everything I’ve found just sets everything past 12pm to 12:00 AM. Also, is there something I’m missing using the regular date/time field? This doesn’t seem like a big stretch, but when I change the field type it just clears everything. Thanks!

Hi everyone ! I’ll try to explain my problem as clearly as I can… I am using Airtable for research purposes, for my PhD in archaeology. I produced a table for the objects of my corpus, and another one for my bibliography. In my objects table, I created for each object a field “bibliography”, in which I can enter links to records of my bibliography table. At this point, no problem in doing so. What I would like to do, is add a comment or a precision to this link : page and catalogue number that relate to my object. But I don’t know if it s possible… Any idea ? Hope this is clear, it’s not easy to explain, especially since English is not my native language… Thanks a lot !!

I have been setting up Airtable for the records of our large chorale singing group about 6 months. A lot is great, but there are still some things I am trying to figure out. I have a Members table in which the primary field is the member name. Among a number of other tables, I one called Ticket Sales to track the number of tickets sold by each member. I set up the link from Ticket Sales to Members and successfully created the Lookup so that I can bring in the Member Name to Ticket Sales. However, I also want to bring in the Active Status information for each member, which is a field in the the Members table (people who are on leave aren’t assigned tickets for an upcoming concert). But even though in the Lookup field I choose the Member table, and Active Status field, nothing is returned. What am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone, I’d like users to submit entries via an Airtable Form and confirm their email. With Zapier, I can react to a new entry and send a confirmation email. Easy. But how do I close the loop? What kind of link could the user click on, that would trigger a confirmation in the base? Any creative idea? Thanks, Tim

Hello all! I am wondering if there is a way to make text in a SendGrid Block email bold? Thank you!

I am trying to make a grocery list that would take the price of an item ($0.88) and multiply it by the quantity needed (2) so that it outputs the total amount ($1.76) I have tried the formula Price * Quantity which hasn’t worked. How would i create a formula to output the total price as stated above? Screenshots

Hi! I’m trying to create a formula where my Primary Field is a number that I need to pull from a URL link: Currently, I am using the formula RIGHT() to tell the formula to find the last three characters from the right of the URL link, which won’t work once we get to 4 digits, or if for some reason the URL structure changes adding an extra character at the end. Is there a way to find only a number from a URL and return it as such? Thank you.

I have a table “Ethnicity”. For the purpose of this post, I’ll use Asian ethnicities as an example, but my Ethnicity table will also include ethnicities of other racial groups. On this table are entries like “Asian Indian”, “Bangladeshi”, “Bhutanese”, “Taiwanese”, “Chinese”, etc. I have another table “Contacts” which contains a column that links to Ethnicity. Each record in Contacts can be linked to multiple ethnicities. I now want a column that marks whether a record’s ethnicities fall under larger racial groups. For example, if the record is linked to “Taiwanese” or “Chinese” or both, I want the record to be marked “Yes” under the column, “Asian” What’s the best way to accomplish this?

Hello! I need some help of this community because I lack the knowledge to develop formulas. I trying to create an automated financial system using some linked tables inside a base. I have expenses categorized in a field with the options ‘‘Credit’’ and ‘‘Debit’’, which I use to separate the payment methods. The expenses also have a ‘‘Date’’ field and a ‘‘Cost’’ field. I want to create a field using a formula that brings me the data from the ‘‘Cost’’ field if the expense is payed in ‘‘Credit’’ within a specific month (actual month) in order to separate this values so I can link them to another table and use a simple SUM formula to calculate my total expenses in Credit for the actual month. So its something like: If method of payment = Credit, If date = actual month, ‘‘cost’’ I know I could simply use a filter view to see only ‘‘Credit’’ records, but as the data will be linked to another table for other operations, I cant. I would be extremely grateful if you could help me in this!

Hey all, I am relatively new to using Airtable and I need some help getting these two formulas to work together (they work fine on their own) in 1 field so I can keep track of shipping dates based on 2 conditions. My ultimate ship date needs to always return the Saturday date 3 weeks after the original date {RFP Request Date}. If there is no attachment in {RFP Print} and no date in {RFP Request Date}, I want it to show a blank cell. If one of those cells is filled in, then I don’t mind it returning an #ERROR! . Also how do you remove the time stamp for the formula since I do not need it? Current Field setups since I cannot add screenshots {RFP PRINT} = Attachments {RFP Request Date} = Date {IFTT} = Formula (1st listed below) - Ultimately need this to become my Shipping Date. {Field 21} = Formula (2nd listed below) In column {IFTT} I have : IF( {RFP Print}!=’’, DATEADD({RFP Request Date},3,‘weeks’), “”) If column {Field 21} I have : DATEADD({RFP Request Date}, 6-IF(WEEKDAY({RFP Reques

Hi so I’m trying to write a formula to concatenate a name and a date but the date keeps coming back in long format. Is there anyway I can just have the short date (i.e. 09/05/2019) shown?

Hello, I have a question. I have a table for sales and inventory. I’m creating kind of a master page that keeps track of number by each month. I have columns that Rollup the ‘Amount Spent’ and the ‘Amount Made’. I’m just trying to create another Rollup column that calculates the Profit/Loss by subtracting the total amount spent from the amount made. Is this possible? Each row has data for a specific month. Hopefully i’m explaining it correctly! Thanks in advance

I regularly pull reports from multiple systems that include product IDs. These IDs are always a series of letters followed by numbers (e.g., ABC 123, WXYZ 9876). The number of letters can vary between 3 and 6 characters and the same goes for the numbers. The problem I’m having is that in one system, there is no space within the ID (e.g., ABC123) while in the other system, there is always a space between the letters and numbers (e.g., ABC 123). Since the number of characters can vary, I’m having trouble finding a formula that basically looks at the cell and adds a space when it finds a number. Any help is appreciated! Update: If it helps, this formula is what does what I’m looking for in Excel =TRIM(REPLACE(A2,MIN(FIND({1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0},A2&“1234567890”)),0," ")) TRIM, REPLACE, and FIND all exist in Airtable but I’m not sure how to use FIND to search for any combination of items (e.g., 1 OR 2 OR 3…) like you can in the above Excel formula.

Hi, This is my first time using Airtable, started just today. I’ve been trying to find an answer but have so far been unsuccessful. Is it possible to create a multi step/section/tab form? What I mean is - I have 5 topics (as shown below), a user can navigate to the next section only if s/he completes the previous section/tab. Each section/tab has a set of different types of questions, along with a next/previous buttons. Profile Customer Service Brand Awareness Product/Service Quality Gift! Can I design the placement of fields? At the moment, everything is vertical - 6 rows, 1 column (couldn’t post image). I’d actually like 3 rows and 2 columns. Thank you so much! :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve tried searching for an answer similar to mine, but having no luck with what I’m after. Essentially I want a formula for auto-writing Recipe SEO Titles based off other fields. Currently I have something simple that I always have to edit: {Site Name} & IF({Column A}, {Column A}, "") & IF({Column B}, "Vegetarian", "") & IF({Column C}, {Column C}, "") & IF({Column D}, "Vegan", "") & IF({Column E}, {Column E}, "") & {Sep} & {Name of Dish} Ideally I’d like the formula to read this: (Site Name) AND IF (Name of Dish) CONTAINS (Column A) SHOW “Budget Meal” ELSE (Column A) OR IF (Name of Dish) CONTAINS (Column B) SHOW “Vegetarian” ELSE (Column B) OR IF (Name of Dish) CONTAINS (Column C) SHOW “Student Meal” ELSE (Column C) OR IF (Name of Dish) CONTAINS (Column D) SHOW “Vegan” ELSE (Column D) OR IF (Name of Dish) CONTAINS (Column E) SHOW “Healthy Meal” ELSE (Column E) AND (Seperator) AND (Name of Dish) Is that possible?

New to Airtable and trying to figure everything out. I have a base to keep track of inventory and sales. I have it set up where if I enter the platform it sold on, the formula in the next column will calculate the fees. For example, if I enter “Ebay” it calculates that the fees will be 9% of the selling price, and so forth. The issue is that the this value wont show up as currency ($) and won’t allow me to change it because it’s saying “Your result type is not a number or a date. Formatting options are currently only available if your result type is a number or a date.” Although it is a number. It’s just showing as a decimal rather than a dollar amount. Any suggestions? This is the formula used in the column. It is calculating the correct amounts, just not in currency. IF({Platform Sold}=“Poshmark”,({Sold Price})(.20))&IF({Platform Sold}=“Mercari”,({Sold Price})(.10))&IF({Platform Sold}=“Ebay”,({Sold Price})*(.09))

When attempting to use the PATCH method in Google Apps Script , I get an error INVALID_REQUEST_UNKNOWN . I’m able to do a POST and GET request. Tested my credentials using CURL and this worked. Tried the “HTTP Override” hack and that did not work. function postToAirtable() { var url = 'https://api.airtable.com/v0/appxs9P0mXsqcXs5R/Outreach'; var data = { 'fields': { 'Task': '<Task Name>', 'Outreacher': '<Person>', 'Month': 'May ', 'Status': 'In Progress', 'Go Live Date': '2016-03-01', 'Copy Card Link': [ 'recONM5ul2oaG6yKi' ], 'Label': 'DET' } }; var headers = {'Authorization':'Bearer ' + '<API KEY>'}; var options = { 'contentType':'application/json', 'method' : 'PATCH', 'headers': headers, // Convert the JavaScript object to a JSON string. 'payload' : JSON.stringify(data), }; //Logger.log(options); Logger.log(UrlFetchApp.fetch(url, options)); };

Hello everyone, I am an Airtable newbie, so I apologize if this has been asked before, should be obvious, etc. I am currently working on a table where we have 6 checkbox fields for each field record. If I have 10 records, there are a potential of 60 checkboxes that can be checked. I am trying to find a way to summarize how many of the 60 checkboxes have been checked (ideally by percentage, but number would work too). Does anyone have a suggestion on how I might be able to do this? Thanks and I hope everyone has a great day! -M

I only have 1 table and I need the most recently added record. I tried this code and even tried maxRecords so loop through each id. base(‘Intention’).select({ filterByFormula: ‘{id} = “id”’ }).eachPage(function page(records, fetchNextPage) { records.forEach(function(record) { console.log(‘Retrieved’, record.get(‘id’)); … Any tips on how I should approach this?

Hi I need to get results in days : hours bettwen to dates. I have {date start} , {date stop} and when {date stop} fincion should count to Now() Funcion IF({date stop}="",DATETIME_DIFF(NOW(),{date start},‘hours’)/24,DATETIME_DIFF(date stop},{date start},‘hours’)/24) It shows results in decimal how many days but now in DD:HH I tryed: DATETIME_FORMAT( IF({date stop}="",DATETIME_DIFF(NOW(),{date start},‘hours’)/24,DATETIME_DIFF({date stop},{date start},‘hours’)/24),‘DD:HH’) but I get ERROR Any advice ?

Hi all! I’ve run into an odd issue that I’m hoping someone out there has found a workaround for :slightly_smiling_face: I have a table consisting of recurring tasks, where each task is assigned a value ($). A zap creates assignments based on those tasks and values in a separate table. I need to be able to override the value of the task in the new table; which is pretty straightforward… but I’m running into issues if I want to override the price to be $0.00. Airtable seems to treat Currency fields (and probably number fields too, haven’t tested it) the same whether they are BLANK() or have a value of $0.00. Here is the formula I’m using (in a rollup field): IF({Override Task Price}, {Override Task Price}, SUM(values)/{Step Count}) Has anyone found a way to force Airtable to recognize ANY entry in a Currency field, even if it’s $0.00?

Hi All, I am trying to go around this nested formula and hope someone could help me try understand why is not working. I have three {columns} that indicate if a condition is either 1 or 0. So: column 1 can be 1 or 0 column 2 can be 1 or 0 column 3 can be 1or 0 I have a fourth formula column where I want to indicate the following: IF column 1,2,3 are all 1 then show “status A” IF column 1,2 are 1 and 3 is 0, then show “status B”, IF column 1,2,3, are 0, then show " status C" I have tried this formula but it wont go through: IF( OR( FIND(“1”, {column1} ), FIND(“1”, {column2} ), FIND(“1”, {column3} ), ), “status A”, IF( OR( FIND(“1”, {column1} ), FIND(“1”, {column2} ), FIND(“0”, {column3} ), ), “Status B”, IF( OR( FIND(“0”, {column1} ), FIND(“0”, {column2} ), FIND(“0”, {column3} ), ), “Status C”, ) Thanks for whoever takes time to help out with this.

Hello, I’m trying to make a formula that counts the difference between start date and end date, however if end date is blank calculate the difference between start date, and current date. Sorry if it sounds simple, i’m very new to airtable! Thanks Matt
