I am trying to write what I believe would be best as an IF THEN statement but I’m open to suggestions. I have a column named client payment date and there’s a number, 1-31 there. I want it to print out in a different column (Which I’ve named “Payment Transfer Date”) one of three things. If the number under “Client Payment Date” column is between 1-10 then I’d like the “Payment Transfer Date” column to display 15th. If the number under “Client Payment Date” column is between 11-20 then I’d like the “Payment Transfer Date” column to display 25th. If the number under “Client Payment Date” column is between 21-31 then I’d like the “Payment Transfer Date” column to display 5th. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I feel I’ve gone above the skill level on what I know.

I currently use Zapier to ‘Timestamp’ a date when a record is uploaded onto Airtable. What I want to know is a formula that displays a new date that is dependent on when that timestamp was placed. For example: If the ‘Timestamp’ shows any date before January 15th, I want the new formula to show as January 1. If the ‘Timestamp’ date is on or after January 15th, I want the formula date to show as January 31. Thanks!

I have a spreadsheet that I am using to keep track of when a document is returned. The primary field is the person’s name, then there is a column to record a specific program that person is in (set as a single select), then the next column has a check box. The check box will be selected when the person returns their document. I’d like to record how many people return their documents by Program. So how many people in Program A have returned their documents, Program B, and so forth. Is there a formula to create this? Ideally, I’d have a second table that has the Program name in the first column and then the total in the second column. Essentially, a countif formula.

I linked my Google account with Airtable. When I click on attachment and select the google doc that I want to attach to a record, it does that. However, if I change the google doc and later go to the airtable record, it doesn’t show the new changes. It just shows the version of the file that it was in at the time I initially attached it. Is this how it is supposed to work? Seems odd that it wouldn’t be pulling from the original document every time. Would be nice if it was always synced. Any suggestions?

Hello! I checked around but didn’t seem to find a good answer to why I am getting this error. I am looking to get a price per gram amount for my table. It should be Price/Grams but for some reason it gives me an error. Hi awesome community. I want to create a new field that calculates the previous delivery date + 1 month. So I used this: DATEADD({Last Delivery},1,‘month’) But the problem was that it gave me errors when the date was blank. So I tried using the IF formula. IF ({Last Delivery}, DATEADD({Last Delivery},1,‘month’)) But now it doesn’t come in a friendly format. I figure I have to use the DATETIME_FORMAT but I’m not sure how. I have four fields: FirstName, LastName, Email, and Zip. I’m trying to set up a conditional where if the Zip is any of ~75 options from a given geographic region it will color all of them one color for quick identification. The base is connected to webforms through Zapier with several dozen new records added every day, so just need an automated way for team members to identify which new records are in their region without having to compare every entry to the list of zip codes in their region. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys! Relatively new to Airtable. I’ve got what feels like an advanced question. I want to be able to send SMS messages to members of my database. I know there is a Twilio block in which to do this, which is great and very useful (I like the feature that pulls in Name and other fields that personalise the messages). However, I want this to be automated. I am currently building a base for general management of members data, including their upcoming appointment dates in a field entitled ‘Date of appointment’. What I want to happen, rather than doing it manually, is for an SMS such as ‘Hi {First Name, Last Name}, you have an appointment with {Name of doctor} on {Date of appointment}. Please call our offices if you’re running late on 07xxxxxxxxx.’ to be sent when {Date of appointment} is 24 hours away, for example. I’ve also had a look at Zapier to help with this but I’m not entirely sure how to do it. Can any body help/point me towards a tutorial or something that deals with this? I ho

I have fields named Tasks, Due Date, Task Completed and Status. Using a guide from another post I came up with: IF({Task Completed?}=1,“Done”, IF(IS_BEFORE({Due Date}, TODAY()), “Overdue”, “In Progress”)). This works fine. But, I would like to somehow have it so if the task field is Empty, it returns “No Task”. How would I add that to the above formula without confounding what is already going on? It’s like a third ELSE statement, or am I thinking completely backwards on this?

Hey all, I’m trying to create an estimating tool that pulls pricing details from one base and sums them together. I have 10 “item” fields and 10 “quantity” fields. The item field is linked. The goal is to select the item, enter a qty and then get one big total for all the prices as well as the individual totals for each item * qty. Problem 1: I now have 10 linked fields on the services base. I can just hide them, but I don’t understand this at all. Problem 2: Do I have to create 10 lookup fields to pull the pricing details into the estimate base and then have that be the data that’s used for the formula? Is there an easier way? Thanks!

I use an algorithm for assigning a client ID which is the static “0660” followed by the 2-digit year the client started, followed by a 2 number sequential. I am using the following formula. How do I adjust this formula so that clients who start in 2021 restart the sequential numbering? ‘0660’& (Year)&-REPT( ‘0’, 5-LEN( {AutoNbr}&’’ ) )& {AutoNbr}

Is there a limit for how many links you can have from a one to many relationship?

I have a formula that puts a checkmark in front of the Task name if the task is done. It works fine. IF({DONE}="",{Task Name},“ :white_check_mark: ”&{Task Name})&" "&DATETIME_FORMAT({DUE DATE},‘M-D’) I want to add another condition and can’t figure out the syntax. If the event is not done but is past the {Due Date}, I want a :no_entry: emoji in front of the Task Name. I am not sure how to incorporate that in front of the task name. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m trying to make a formular to that’ll use certain information if it’s after a particular time stamp. However no matter what I do I seem not not be able to figure out how get airtable to tell me if a certain date is after another. Sofar I’ve been trying variations of the following. Newbie here. I have two tables I am trying to link… table #1. which has basic plant info…name, details, photo. this is the master list of all the plants I’m interested in growing. table #2. these are all the plants that I have seeds for. I made the second table and was able to grab the plant name from table #1, but now I’d love to include a photo of this plant from from table #1. I tried making a new field on table #2 with the same name, and nothing happened. question: do I have to manually link all the photos for every plant on table number 2?

I´m creating a form that I want the custumer can see only his related records in the options. I was create a table for each customer, I am interesting to limit the form with that view but I can´t select other view, apart the principal (Grid view). Can you help to find the problem? I’m a happy new user! I’ve built a simple table to record Name, location and type of an object and want to record various conditions across inspection dates. I see how to record the conditions I want and how to enter a date in fields but I want to have an ongoing set of records for each item. There will be around 50 items. How can I do this without making a table for each item? (In my mind it looks like a portion of the table will be 3 dimensional)

I’m not terribly proficient with async programming in JS yet. What is the proper way to chunk this into 3 API calls of 15/15/3? I suspect I need to split it up into arrays of 15 and then have each call await the one previous with a timeout of 1000ms. Anyone able to provide some guidance on how to do that?

I have volunteer applications imported from 123formbuilder to airtable using Zapier. Some parts of the application have radial selections, where an application can choose a predetermined option, or they can choose “something else” and enter a custom value in a short text field that becomes available. When this data is sent to my base, there becomes two columns, one that populates with a primary selection and a second one that will either be blank or has the applicant’s custom response in it. I’m trying to organize this data into one column that either pulls from the first column if the second column is blank, or chooses the second column if it is not blank. What is the best way to accomplish this? I’m fairly certain I need an IF formula of some sort, but I don’t know enough to know if there is a better way.
