I´m creating a form that I want the custumer can see only his related records in the options. I was create a table for each customer, I am interesting to limit the form with that view but I can´t select other view, apart the principal (Grid view). Can you help to find the problem? I’m a happy new user! I’ve built a simple table to record Name, location and type of an object and want to record various conditions across inspection dates. I see how to record the conditions I want and how to enter a date in fields but I want to have an ongoing set of records for each item. There will be around 50 items. How can I do this without making a table for each item? (In my mind it looks like a portion of the table will be 3 dimensional)

I have volunteer applications imported from 123formbuilder to airtable using Zapier. Some parts of the application have radial selections, where an application can choose a predetermined option, or they can choose “something else” and enter a custom value in a short text field that becomes available. When this data is sent to my base, there becomes two columns, one that populates with a primary selection and a second one that will either be blank or has the applicant’s custom response in it. I’m trying to organize this data into one column that either pulls from the first column if the second column is blank, or chooses the second column if it is not blank. What is the best way to accomplish this? I’m fairly certain I need an IF formula of some sort, but I don’t know enough to know if there is a better way. I have searched both Google and the Forums here for the past 20 minutes and cannot find any reference to this at all, so my apologies if this has already been covered somewhere else. So, really simple, I hope, I have a need to store the date of birth of clients and, having chosen the date field for this, it appears that I can only scroll backwards month by month. If, as is the case today, one of my clients is 72 years old, this is going to take a VERY long time. I am sure that I am missing something altogether obvious, however, I am indeed missing it! How can I “zoom-out” in the date picker to change the year first, thus reducing the amount of time it would take to perform this simple task? I have two tables. Table 1: Client Table 2: Appointments Each appointment is tied to a client. I’m looking to see how many days from the client’s last appointment. E.g. the client’s has 3 appointments however his last appointment was 1/1/2020 then the cell would display ‘14’ since that was 14 days ago. Any ideas?

I have a field with the project name. and I want to use that name in a URL to individualize the path. So column 1 is field type NAME. with the contents Row 1 is fred Row 2 is barney Column 2 today is field type URL Row 1 http://basepath/fred/commonpath Row 2 http://basepath/barney/commonpath What I want is Column 2 to have field type URL and effectively auto look up the NAME Row 1 http://basepath/{NAME}/commonpath (look up NAME for row1) Row 2 http://basepath/{NAME}/commonpath (Lookup NAME for row 2) That way I can just copy the formula but all the URL links, in reality there a mutliple URL references and NAMEs so it would be very helpful

Hey Guys, How can I access Airtable’s pagination by including a given offset in either the url or query? My attempt below at including in the url has failed with the error “KeyError: ‘offset’”. I’ve been able to access the 1st offset per the function at_page(). For simplicity’s sake, I took the result from the function and hardcoded it to the variable offset_01. I downloaded the airtable mac app but when I try to open it, I get this error message: “Airtable.app” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information. I’m running macOS Catalina 10.15.2. Is there a fix for this?

I have two linked tables A & B A contains different projects B is where staff is logging different tasks linked to different project at different dates. I’m trying to roll up a the latest logged task for each project back in A. I tried rolling up MAX(values) but it only works on dates, so will not show the latest task field back in A. Is there any way to rollup a field based of the latest date?

I have two date fields and would like to pull out the months and years in separate fields from one or the other. I managed to get the single IF working but not the nested function. Here’s my formula: IF({Date A}, DATETIME_FORMAT({Date A},’YYYY’), IF({Date B}, DATETIME_FORMAT({Date B},’YYYY’))) which I based on: IF([logical argument1], [value1], IF([logical argument2], [value2], [value3])) Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: It’s not letting me upload pictures, anyone know why? I have 2 tables. 1 called Members and 1 called Appointments. Here’s the members table: Each member has a Name, Membership Type, Shared with (linked to existing table), and another column linked to ‘appointments’ table. Here’s the Appointments table: You’ll notice a the field “Total Appointments per Active Member” Anyone that has membership type ‘shared’ means that I don’t count them as an actual member. I want to link them to the original member. And since I want to track each appointment by the main member, I’d like to figure out how to add the members ‘shared’ total with the existing membership. E.g. John Smith has a total of 3 appointments (his 2 booked, and 1 from his shared member Jenny). How would I do this?

Hi There, I am trying to create an Information Architecture document for an extremely large website. There are around 2000 pages. I have created a view where using the Visual (org chart) block I can display the entire chart. I would like to create a view where I can view all children pages under a parent page, including grandchildren pages in an orgchart/visual manner. Can you let me know if there’s a way I can create a view where I can see everything under a particular parent page? Thanks

Hi there! I’m working in two tables: Contacts and Interactions. The latter keeps records of all emails to and from Contacts (linked), including time/date and a single select field to indicate whether the email was inbound or outbound. I also have simple formula fields – IF(Type=‘To Contact’, Date, ‘0’) and IF(Type=‘From Contact’, Date, ‘0’) – because I’m trying to create respective rollup fields in the Contacts table to show the date of the most recent inbound email and the most recent outbound email. I can’t get my rollup to display any dates. MAX(values) displays zeros. Using ARRAYJOIN and then using DATETIME_PARSE(MAX({arrayjoinfield})) displays 1/1/1970. Is there anything I can add to the Interactions formulas so that the dates are read as values? Or is there a different function you can recommend for the rollups? I’m really scratching my head here.

Hello, I am brand new to Airtable and need help creating a formula. The formula works perfectly in Excel/Numbers, but my knowledge of formulas is proven to be insufficient and I can’t figure out how to do it in Airtable. Maybe it doesn’t have the capabilities to do what I want? Here’s the formula I use in Excel/Numbers and the ‘field names’ should transfer over because I’ve created fields in Airtable for each. See values below: “PPW” is a number field “kW” is a number field “25yr” is a checkbox field with a value of 23.5% “20yr” is a checkbox field with a value of 22.5% FORMULA: PPW * kW * 25yr * kW * 1000, PPW * kW * 20yr * kW * 1000 The 20yr and 25yr are checkboxes, and each deal will change depending on what the client chooses. So I want to be able to type in the PPW > kW amount > select a checkbox and have it automatically calculate the amount. Hi All, Trying to fix a goof in our Airtable. Backstory: We programmed a certain formula to add in the year a record was created into the record name(i.e. 2019 =19). We pre made some of these records in December, and now need to duplicate the records and have all the duplicated records keep the same name. I hope you all have realized the problem with this… If you haven’t all new records now automatically signify it’s 2020 and no longer 2019. My family business makes baskets. Each basket is numbered and with that number we track multiple things such as date it was made, type of wood used, basket size/style, and inlay style. I created a form to make it easy to enter all that info and numerous other tracking features, however, the one thing I can’t seem to figure out (and maybe its not possible?) is how to get a list of say the 10 most popular baskets for a year… we have about 25 different basket styles, 10 different wood species, and 5 different inlays… I can easily see what was the most popular basket style or wood species but I would like to have a list of each individual style… (not sure if I am making sense?) As an example: we make a napkin basket and a condiment basket and we use both cherry and walnut wood species. So let’s say we made 10 cherry napkin baskets, 2 walnut napkin baskets, 7 cherry condiment baskets, and 3 walnut condiment baskets. Hi! I have a Long text field that has 1-52 lines. Each line starts with either [ ] or [ x ] and is then followed by 10 digits (at present). How would I “magically” disapear all lines starting with [ x ] using a formula? Is there a way to "disapear " a whole line from [ x ] to \n without knowing the amount of caracters inbetween? That would be ideal if possible. I need to “disapear” lines from top to bottom (first line 1, then line 2, then line 3 and so on…) and not at random through the entire field if that makes any difference. I have tried various “solutions”, but haven’t found what I need. I’m probably nesting/combining it incorrectly and by now I’ve stared myself blind at the problem trying to get it right. Hi all. I have a filterbyformula where I am using an OR statement to get Record_IDs. It seems that on IE I have maxed out there rule of no more then 2000 characters in a Get URL. This seems to be happening to me. I am using the javascript and not curl. Any thoughts on how to get around this? If I call 50 people from the database using the OR statement I am screwed with each person needing roughly 40 characters… Thanks Jon

Hey all, I’m tracking scores of sports events. The main fields are “Home Score” (for how much the home team scored) and “Away Score” (you guessed it…) In soccer matches it’s common for a team to score nothing. i.e. “0”. I’m calculating: IF(AND({Home Score}, {Away Score}), IF({Home Score} = {Away Score}, “Draw”, IF({Home Score} > {Away Score}, {Home Team}, {Away Team}))) The issue is, if I input “0” Airtable ignores it. it’s a blank for calculating consideration. So, field {winning team} remains empty. The workaround is to input a “1” score in case of actual “0” and to give the other team a +1 on their actual score. i.e. if a game’s score is actually 0:1 I’d input it as 1:2 . Is there a way around it? I want to preserve the information integrity. Thanks.

Hey Guys, I’ve had this issue before, and was able to solve it. For some reason, it doesn’t work now. We’re betting on score difference, so: IF({Home Score}>{Away Score},{Home Score}-{Away Score},{Away Score}-{Home Score}) If the game hasn’t played yet, the {Home Score} & {Away Score} are empty, which results in ‘0’ So, I’ve tried checking if the records are empty or not. IF(AND({Home Score},{Away Score}), IF({Home Score}>{Away Score},{Home Score}-{Away Score},{Away Score}-{Home Score}) But I keep getting an error, that my syntax is wrong. After the above I’m running this: IF({Points Difference Bet}={Actual Points Difference},“Bingo!”,IF({Actual Points Difference}-{Points Difference Bet}<=5,“Very Close”, “Way Off”)) But the points difference can actually be higher than 5, but I’d still get “Very Close” Please help. I’m trying to write a formula that would find multiple parts of text (from a single cell) into a short formatted text (in a cell). Example: From “Nothing, we are a turn-key service, from site prep, permits, to completion” to “turn-key” From “The client has some responsibility like permits, site-prep, and transportation” to “door-step” From “We just send the kit of parts and the client takes care of the majority of work” to “kit-of-parts” From “We offer just the drawings / floor plan in addition or exclusively as a service” to “floorplan-only” I was able to get it to pull just one text but not multiple.
