I have a weird one: How would I even begin to convert a column that contains duration data formatted as a string like this? I want the final conversion to be a decimal number, but none of the standard DATETIME() type formulas can make sense of it. Help!

In order to keep costs down at our nonprofit, I have it set up so only a few people have paid editing access in Airtable - the rest have read-only access to an interface. They have the ability to create/update/delete individual records with interface buttons that open surveys in Fillout, which is slightly clunky but far better than previous alternatives. I've run into a situation where I'd like to make it easier - our list of contacts. It's huge, and things are constantly out of date, and I am DESPERATE to make sure keeping it updated doesn't become my job. I already have a record review page in the interface so I could add a button to go to survey to update that information, it just feels like there will often be batch updates (everyone at this org got new emails or something) where it would be a lot more convenient to have it feel like a spreadsheet. The more I type, the more I think I should just add an update button here too and it'll be fine, but I'm interested to k

Hi! I'm looking for an alternate way to display records that are grouped by a "multiple select" field.  As an example, I have records of food items and am grouping by the Food Type field with tags Fruits, Veggies, Carbs, Berries, etc. Some records, such as Cherry will be tagged both "Fruits" and "Berries."  As it displays now, Cherry will be grouped in its own area of both Fruits and Berries rather than showing up in the individual Fruits group and the Berries group.  I realize that having Cherry show up in both groups would mean the single record is displayed twice, so perhaps there's an alternate way of grouping records where the group will show all records with a given tag? I'd love to come up with a solution for this, because it gets pretty cumbersome to sift through many annoying "groups" where multiple tags are used. I just want to see ALL the records with that tag, regardless of any other tags those records may have!

For my interface I want a grid view meant for people within my organization with all the fields visible and I want another view of said interface meant for external organizations that only show some of the fields.How do i go about this?

We manage a vehicle fleet and to make it easy for non-technical staff to add vehicles, I have created simplified interface forms with just the necessary fields (and some optional ones). This is great for adding one at a time, however often we will be adding multiple of the same vehicle. being comfortable with large sets of data myself, it's easy enough to just duplicate the record mulitple times in a grid view, however for users not comfortable with a grid view, is there a way for me to add a dropdown or number field or something to my interface form that will create a number of duplicates equal to the number provided in the dropdown/number field? Or is there another simple way to generate duplicate records? Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi! We've created a base with a tab for each project (e.g., Project 1, Project 2, etc.), and within each project, we need to view (in the interface) the payments made, sorted by year. To manage this, we've created a column for each year within the base. However, this setup makes all years visible across all projects, which is not ideal since each project has a different timeline. For example, if Project 1 runs from 2022 to 2025, I would want to see only those years on that project's page, and not years that apply to other projects (like a project spanning 2008 to 2025).In the interfaces, we have different tabs for different projects (e.g., charity projects), but currently, we don't have the option to filter the years so that only relevant years show on each project’s page. Is there a way to display different years per project within the interface, rather than having all the same years appear across all pages?Thank you! 

Hello!I'm looking to have a daily email automation run with a list of Found Records. I'd like the subject line of the email to have the current date. I see that I can add in a List of the Dates for the Found Records, but...it will show the date for EVERY record, rather than just one instance. Is there a way to suppress that to only the first instance of the date so that my subject line doesn't read "Daily Attendance Log DATE DATE DATE"?Thanks in advance for any help! 

Hi there -  I am attempting to track contract breach status (pending, resolved, or n/a) depending on the source of the breach and whether there is a specific response date. My formula will be 5 if statements, of which 4 are also if/and. I've been able to add the first two successfully but when I try to add the third, nothing happens. Any help would be most appreciated! Hello I need to build a form where users create a 'Deals' table record. The description of the form should contain  dates that come from a  record in another table: 'Cohort'. It seems that Fillout pre-fetch is exactly what I need, but it is only available for 79$/mo which seems too much for this form only (and mini-extensions likewise). Is there any another solution? Does scripting have anything to do with Forms? Many Thanks 

Hi all, I have a csv file with a column that contains the name of the project associated with the client. So I have a csv file with 2 columns: customer email, project name. I have to import this file into the customer table on Airtable where the “merge field” is the email and the project name must be inserted in a multiselect field. The problem is that many customers already have projects in their multiselect field and doing this import is all overwritten and only the last imported project remains. So the question is how is it possible to import (add) new values in “multiselect field” without overwriting the already existing values? Thanks so much everyone for the help

Hi there,I need to create 3 forms that are pretty much exactly the same, but the link for each is inserted into a different flyer which is going to three different groups of people - each form is then linked to an automation which will catagorise the respondent for us so we know which form they have filled out. The problem is the 3 forms need to have exactly the same display name, but I want to differentiate them by name in my base view, which I am unable to do at present. Does anyone have a solution?Thanks!

Hi. Thanks in advance for any help.I am importing a  CSV file out of another application that exports a field in a currency format. ($X,XXX.XX). I've created a currency field in Airtable to import it into, but AT always ignores it.So, I ended up exporting to Excel, changing that field to a number without a dollar sign and that allowed me to import it into the AT currency field.  However, I'd like to avoid this step and go directly from the exported CSV into AT without messing with Excel.I assumed this meant that Airtable wasn't recognizing it as a currency or number and wouldn't move it into the currency field. So, I thought I'd create a text field to import it into, then create a formula field to make it what I need it to be, but it won't import it into a text file either.Not sure why this is so difficult for me.  Any ideas welcome. Hello all, I created a form, and one of the field values needs to be "1" as the default value. However, I need that hidden so that when someone goes to submit data, they don't have to fill that field in as "1".Now this is what I have:I tried hiding this field from the form options listed, but when I go to submit this form - it doesn't display a "1" in the field value on the table view. I also tried this method on the table view:When I go to create a record on the table view - it does default the value to "1", but on form submission - it does not. Any idea what it is that I'm doing wrong?Thanks.

I am having the toughest time trying to create this field and decipher the error messages I am getting. I've seen this question, but not the type of answer I'm hoping for. A CURL example is a great for me to translate the request. Similar to the CURL examples in the docs for List Records, it looks like I should be able to request records 101-200 using the offset value returned in the original request. The docs say it's a Query, therefore: ...?offset=itrvDOnB9cbRDnn63/rec1VA0JPORC2S9Zz It's not working. I haven't inspected the returned headers yet. So the questions:-- should the request be RAW or POST?--should/could the request be a JSON payload instead of querystring params? I need to retrieve thousands of records. My follow up question for data from a different table, USING JSON Payloads can I somehow filter fields? Is there ANY possible way to add color to the "Number" field inside the interface?I would love to change this dynamically; if positive green, when negative red. I have a bunch of these numbers on my interface that I'd like to track, and having this basic functionality would help to draw attention 

I am working on a project for a service company. I have a table with clients and then a table of projects that are linked back to the client. Clients are assigned a rate based on different factors. The rate is carried through to any of the projects they are linked to via lookup field. However, I would like to override the lookup field should we have a promotional rate or a specific project needs to be billed at a different hourly rate. Any suggestions?

We have a load of addresses in a database. They are individually pasted into a Long Text field.The issue:Some addresses are in this format - 51A Wigton RoadCarlisleCA2 7AYAnd some addresses are in this format- 51A Wigton RoadCARLISLECA2 7AY So the difference is that the Post Town is uppercase - which is what we want.But a lot of submissions have come through in lower case on that second to last line, which is incorrect. I need a formula to find and replace the all text before the last break and after the second to last break, ie. all text on the second to last line. And replace it with the same text but in UPPERcase.  The addresses are not always on 4 lines, sometimes they are on 5 lines, so we would need to work backwords from the last break. A formula to do this would be much appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

I have two tables:Table one shows a list of tasks done on different computers and when the task has been marked as finished:TaskId, FinishDateTime, Computername.In table two I have information who was logged in when on on which computer:DateTimeStart, DateTimeStop, EmloyeeName, Computer. I want to have in table one an extra column, showing the name of the EmployeeName that was working on that computer while the task was finished. So we need to use the FinishDateTime and Computername to query the other table to find a match with exactly this computer and FinishDateTime in range between DateTimeStart and DateTimeStop. The result of the formular should show just the Name of the Employee. I hope this is clear. How to create the formular? I am familiar with excel, where i would do some kind of nested vlookups, but have no idea how to achieve this in airtable.

I am trying to fix a formula for hours, but I can't find the error. For some reason, the last argument in an OR Formula is ignored.The base has 2 tables (Table 1 and Table 2)Table 1 has one record with the following values:Field 1 (single line text) = AField 2 (single line text) = BField 3 (single line text) = C Table 2 also has one record with a multi-select field. The values areField 1 = C, D, E, F My OR formula should check if any of the 3 values from the record (Table 1) is included in the multi-select field (array) of the record in Table 2.  OR( FIND(Field 1 (Table 1), Field 1 (Table 2)), FIND(Field 2 (Table 1), Field 1 (Table 2)), FIND(Field 3 (Table 1), Field 1 (Table 2)) )  When I add "C" to Field 2 (Table 1), then it's correctly counted.If I add C in Field 3 (Table 1) I don't get an error, and the formula just goes through. It just ignores the last argument, "FIND(Field 3 (Table 1), Field 1 (Table 2))". Does anyone have an idea

I have an Airtable automation that uses the AI module to summarize text fields for each record in a view. A repeating group iterates through that list. In Make, those newly updated records are processed through a Word template to output a report. I'd like to figure out a way to trigger them with one button press.There are three ways I'm aware of for triggering Make, but I can't figure out how to make any of them to work.Webhook doesn't work (I think) because I need it to happen sequentially, with the Airtable automation running first.Record update: my original plan was to update the status of a report record that Make was watching after the Airtable automation looped through the whole list, but it doesn't look like you can add another action after a repeating group. So I also tried a script within the group that would count the loop iterations and compare to the list length, and at the end of the last iteration, would update the record. But I don't think it's possible to save the itera

I want to create a chart that shows record counts of a table over time.  In our case, we have a table of clients and want to show how the total number of clients has changed over time.  I have a "Created time" column and I can use the COUNT formula to get the current number of clients, but I'm not sure how to get that COUNT over time.Any ideas?
