I am looking for an analytics solution for tracking link clicks and counting attachment downloads from embedded airtable views. Is there a good solution out there for this already? I’m having trouble finding a good resource for this. I have several solutions but they’re rather labor intensive and I’m hoping this can just happen automatically after initial setup. User clicks external link from embedded airtable record on website> +1 count in analytics for that link click. I am about to go test this, but does anyone know if you can use a google events to track link clicks in airtable?

Ok, here's the workflow I'm trying to create:User 1 creates a new ticket by completing a form. (Easy)Automation generates an email to User 2, notifying them of the new ticket, including a few details and a link that opens the record in another form, which includes the details from the original ticket submitted and the ability to update the status and other fields as needed, then submitting the form to update the ticket. (???)User 1 gets an automated email, notifying them of the updated ticket. (Also easy)Is it possible to generate url that will open the record in a form to be updated and submitted? If not, could I instead generate a link that opens the record in an interface that I design for that purpose? I'm trying to minimize the opportunity for either user to get confused by other records or the Airtable interface, since neither of them will be Airtable users.Any creative ideas?Thank you!!!

Could someone share the correct way to update a multiple select field using a script?I have one table where I receive data from form submissions. When a submission is received, I use data from the submission to update a multiple select field in a record in another table. A few years back I set up a base for one of our clients who was new to Airtable. I invited them as a collaborator to the base to start to familiarize them with the system. Since then we have been paying for both us and them as a collaborator on the base. The time has come that we want to transfer owernship of the base to them completely so they will both be managing and paying for the base. How do I go about doing that? Do I invite them as an owner and then delete them as a collaborator? How do I remove myself as an owner for the base? How do we get them set up to be billed for the base?

Hi - I am building a base that serves as a marketing tech stack document. I am listing software titles in the first column, and then have columns for "Features in use" and "Features available but not in use" etc.  Each of those columns have multiple selection options.  My goal is to be able to create a view that will group all the software options by the individual features.  So one example use is that I want to be able to see all our software that has the Available Feature to do SMS texting in one group. Did I set this up right to do that?

There are times when I need a data field to be "Required".   Otherwise, data quality issues are introduced. When this is needed, usually the data field must always be "Required" (Use Case #1).  There are also times when a data field needs to be "Required" only conditionally (Use Case #2), based on a value present in another data field within the record.  What I have observed:Airtable supports Use Case #1 during data creation via the Interface Creation Form, but not during a data update.  I can delete the data in a "required" data field, subsequently in the same interface.Airtable doesn't support Use Case #1 at the table/view level.  It can't be specified when defining a column.Regarding Use Case #2, "Conditionally Required" enforcement is not supported, either at the table/view level or within an interface.  Am I missing something?  Please let me know if there is another means to enforce these rules.

I’m new to Airtable, and have been browsing the help center and playing around with the features. One thing I didn’t see mentioned anywhere was input validation. For instance, for a numeric field requiring the value to be less than, greater than, or between values-- as an age field which must be 21 or greater. Or a date field which must not be a future date. Or a currency field limited to 10000. An so on. How would these be done in Airtable ?

Is there a way to put edit-checks or validations on a field? I’d like to restrict the range of numeric values that can be input to a numeric field.

Hey Community! Here’s my problem: I have users adding phone numbers to records. Problem is, the way the are inputting records doesn’t allow me to have Data validation. I need the number they input in a specific format, and I was hoping there might be a formula that could do this. Format we need: 1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX Inputs we might get (because users make mistakes) = 1 xxx xxx xxxx xxx xxx xxxx xxxxxxxxxx 1 (xxx) xxx xxxx (xxx) xxx xxxx What is important for us is there is the area code, aka, a “1” at the front of every number. I was thinking about creating a formula that adds a “1” at the start, but in the circumstances where a user does what we want, and adds a “1”, I don’t want to add it as it’d break it. Does anyone know how to put a formula together that’ll do this? PS, Bonus points if you can ensure it looks “pretty” by formatting it in this way: 1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX

Is there a way to enforce data validation on a field? For example, if I want to enforce users to enter a name under 20 characters or less, can I do that?

Hello,I'm using the Map & Data Validator extensions, which allow me to view and validate my fields respectively. I'm also developing an interface so that I can share the application without users having to use the database directly, and so that I don't have to show all the records.My first question is: Is it possible to include the map extension display in my interface? If so, how? I've seen on other forums that this wasn't possible, but perhaps a feature for this has now been added?My second question is about the Data Validator extension, which only validates data when it's added from the record creator form available from the extension window. Is it possible, for example, to validate data entered from forms in my interface?

I have some equipment inspection checklists that I am trying to move from paper to Airtable, and I was wondering if there was a way that I could convert it into a fillable PDF and put it in an Airtable form. The employees fill out these checklists when they’re at worksites, and the office is out of their way, so the forms don’t get dropped off as soon as we’d like. What I am hoping to do is have the employees fill out the PDF in the form, then have the PDF saved to the base as an attachment so that we get the forms as soon as they’re finished, and it’s easier for everyone at the worksites. I already tried converting the checklists to Airtable forms, but there are just too many checkboxes that would each need their own field, and it would just end up being too inconvenient to fill out and sort through. I also tried using the attachment field in a form, but this would require the PDF to be filled out in a different app (or scanned), then saved, and then submitted through the form, which

I have master blocks of code in my code table.in another table - main table -I wish to get data from a field in the code table by specifying it’s rec ID. I will then combine this code with other data from the main table. I can do this with a linked table but it requires that the user must remember to select a record every time a new record is added in the main table and since there is no default for linked record, I cannot find a way of using linked records.i was hoping to create a formula that did this get(field.codeTable(recID))I could put the actual field data from the record in code table directly into a formula but then every time my code is updated rather than update the code table code I have to remember to do this elsewhere.any help much appreciated, perhaps a script?

Hello,I am building a project management tool and want to send daily messages to the users on late tasks, upcoming etc...to do so, I have created my automation as follow: The idea is to run automation everyday, look for all users from a table 'participants', and for each one of them search for late tasks assigned to them. Generate an email and send it to each recipient. (I don't want to generate 1 email per late task.... too many messages)This works great as is, except that if there is nothing late in the queue for a user, he will still get an email with an empty table...anybody has a solution to add a condition on this automation?thanks!

I have a table of worklist items that are assigned to users. I want to create an automation that once triggered will execute the "find records" and would go through the distinct list of users that have open tasks.  Open tasks I can do with a filter, but how do I work it out such that if Joe has 3 tasks, the action only executes once for Joe?I tried the group but it didn't seem to do the trick (unless I'm doing it incorrectly). I could just do it all in a script, but I'd rather use the no-code tools to drive the automation. Thanks.

Hi! So, I tried an automation to send an email to some designated people from a list on Table 2 when a record enters a view on Table 1. The users are coming from a linked record from T1 to T2, but when I configured the automation, the system apparently didn't read the emails are emails so, so it failed to send anything. Am I missing something on how to do it?  Background: All of the users are Airtable users but they don't have access to the email accounts linked to those emails.

I have a simple linked table. There is a table of CASES with a bunch of fields and then another table called CASE ACTIVITY which has scheduled activities for each CASE, so the tables are linked by CASEID which is the primary field on CASES.That all works fine. And I started with a formula field that simply said "MIN({Date (from Case Activity)})" but it returns a value of zero.Ultimately it would also need to not pick dates that have already passed.Any ideas?

Hi guys. I have a workspace through which we manage our business, an academy. I have just two users, one for the owners and creators, and another for the teachers. Our problem is that we need the teachers to access to some bases and some interfaces of the main data base, but no to all the administration and managers info, and till now i havent found a way to restrain the access just to the bases and interfaces that they need. Is there anyway to manage the permissions or block access through passwords???? Thanks a lot for your time. 

I would like to be able to select data from a list of choices on softr. However, by linking the dropdown option to a linked data column on airtable, the data of another user also appears and I would like to avoid it. So I tried to use dynamic filters, but it does not work.  AS

Table 2 is a list of those products with a corresponding URL to the image.I'm trying to have the Cover Art field in Table 1 populate with the corresponding date from Cover Art URL in Table 2; based on the Product field in Table1 when the customer places the order.Basically when a customer places an order, I want the Cover Art field in Table 1 to pull the appropriate URL from Table 2, based on the Product field in Table 1.  Does that sound utterly confusing?I've attached some screenshots in case it's helpful.I've been spinning around online trying to figure out how to accomplish something I believe is actually simple.With grace,JQ

I have been reading for hours through the help forum and documentation, but ARRAYSLICE doesn't want to work for me.I want to achieve the following: Show me the first value of an array. My formula is: ARRAYSLICE(verticals_from_contact, 1, 1) but it doesn't show me the first value of the array. Instead, the field shows me the whole array. If I change it to: ARRAYSLICE(verticals_from_contact, 2, 2) nothing is shown anymore.  I tried the formula on lookup fields, linked records, and multi-select fields, and nothing worked (see image). Does anyone have an idea what's wrong?
