Hey! I have 3 checkbox fields that indicate the completion of a task. I want to show completion of the tasks using the newly released progress bar on the Percent tab, but without having to manually type in the thirds (1/3, 2/3, 3/3). If I use a formula to sum up the checks as a third, then use another formula to make it into a percent, I still won't be able to get the bar since the formula field does not come with that feature. How do I get that % into the percent field without having to create an automation? Is that the only way, or is there an easier/simpler way to go about this?Thanks in advance 🙂   

Hi,I'm trying to figure out if there is a script or formula to allow for when cells are updated in a column of a Google Sheet to update a corresponding column in Airtable. Here's the scenario I have:I have a Google Sheet that is organized by client project and it tracks the number of project hours used. I'd love for when the corresponding client project's client hours are updated in that Google Sheet that it is updated in the corresponding client record field in Airtable. I see a lot of stuff for updating a Sheet based upon an Airtable trigger, but not the other way. And I know that there is a Google Sheets API to add a row, but that's not what I need either as no new rows are created, it's just a field being updated.Hopefully this makes sense. Would really love any guidance on this that someone may have.Thank you!Julie 

Hello, So I have an automation to trigger when a checkbox is checked (in screenshot). It works when I test it, but it's not working on it's own. Meaning, when I add a new record and then at the end I check the checkbox, it doesn't add a new record to the programs calendar. I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm tracking book publications and each of the titles in my database will have several dates for different formats - Hardback, paperback, ebook and Audio...I'm trying to create a formula that will automatically select the earliest of these dates so that I can use that to trigger something else.I've searched other questions and found this:MIN(VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #1},'YYYYMMDD')),VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #2},'YYYYMMDD')),VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #3},'YYYYMMDD')),VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #4},'YYYYMMDD')) )I feel like this is partway there but because some books don’t have all formats some of these fields will be blank for some titles and where that’s the case I just get an error message. Wondering if it is possible to run the auto-number column, but conditional on another column. We are setting up a purchase order tracking log, and I would like things to autonumber based on the field for who is doing the ordering. So if Steve goes in to create 3 separate orders, he picks “Steve” from the single-select dropdown field “Ordered By” and then he gets a sequence of auto-numbers. For his 3 orders, he would get 1, 2, and 3 (I would have the key column by a formula that creates a unique ID based on “Ordered By” and the Autonumber, so it would probably be “Steve001”, Steve002", “Steve003”, etc etc). If Dave then goes in and enters an order for himself, what we would like is for the auto-numbering to restart for the new single-select entry “Dave” so that Dave’s first entry would get an autonumber “1” again, and the key field would be “Dave001”. If steve then goes to do another entry, he would get “Steve004”. So far, I am not seeing how to do this (or if it can be done). I realize

So I'm running into an error that I can't seem to fix. Whenever I try to set a condition based on a linked record or a formula field, I get that an unknown error has occurred.My first table, products, have a linked field to a record inside the main product master where the product's vendor is linked. So I've created a lookup field for the vendor record id and stored it inside my products table. The value for that record is "recSdTazTLqgiGtBb".My second table, Vendor IDs, which contains all of my different Webflow IDs, is also linked to the vendor in the table. Here I get the exact same field value "recSdTazTLqgiGtBb".Now I want to run automation that temporarily puts a webflow ID into my products record that I'm trying to edit. We have an Airtable business account – it's our slow season so we're trying to save some money so I'm working on changing up our base design to be more forms-based.One thing I'm curious about though – say I make an interface with a button that triggers an automatic, then I have a user with read-only access and an unpaid account.  I assume that they would not be able to push that button to run the automation, is that accurate?

Hello,I am trying to figure out how to create a form to add attachment to an exciting record.I have a form that updates  any field including attachment in exciting record but problem is it doesn't keep attachments that was there prior.My main idea is to share a form with anyone online so that anyone could only upload files to an existing specified record and not be able deleting files that were uploaded by others.  Thank you.

We are setting up a form that will be filled out by campus staff at many different colleges/universities, so there is no one @ domain. We want to ensure that no one submits a non-campus email address, however, so we want to make sure that regardless of the rest of the domain, it ends in .edu. Is there a way to do that ? They won't be logging in or anything, I just need the form to reject anything that ends in .com, etc.

Is there a way to see which link was used to create a specific record? We use AirTable forms for surveys and have lots of different survey links. I’m looking for a way to see the specific form link that was used to submit that specific survey. Is this possible with a formula?

Hi all! So, here’s the use case that spurred some thinking… I have a HUGE, monster of a base that is a bit out of control. It contains many intricate rollups that drive some housekeeping/reporting processes. Now that Airtable Sync is available, I’m working on moving those high-overhead processes out to their own bases in the hopes of speeding up the “master” base. One of those processes is a nightly report. The report is driven off of a view in the master base. I synced this view over to a new base, and set up a duplicate of the report. To test it, I’ve been letting it run the past few nights to compare the new version to the current version… and surprise surprise, they are not the same. Current Report: Runs from source/master base, triggered by a zap that runs on a schedule - every night at 8PM a record is added to a table called [Automation Launcher]. This record triggers a script that aggregates the report data, spits out the HTML which is then picked up and emailed by Zapier. New R

Usability problem when linking to a record from the from the ‘one’ end of a many to one relationship.We visit homes to help people reduce carbon footprint and save money by taking energy efficiency measures.On every visit we recommend or take one or more actions, each of which has a specific ‘deliverable’  that holds standard values for savings etc.The entity relationship is:Visit to action = 1 to manyDeliverable to action =  many to 1We have many different deliverables, over 200. When adding a new action, which is usually done using a form that is prefilled with the correct Visit, the Deliverable field presents a long list that is in seemingly random order. I cannot find a way to sort or group the selection of links. Interfaces do not seem to help.Can anyone advise?  This must be a common issue . . .

I created an interface dashboard with several groups (different charts, different numbers, etc.).  For aesthetic reasons (making the data make more sense to execs), I would like to have 2 groups side by side. For example, I would like to have a YTD group of numbers next to a Month's group of numbers.  The YTD and Monthly data will come from different tables, so they need to be in separate groups.  It seems I can only create a new group below or above another group, but I would like to create a new group next to an existing group.  Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

I checked some other forum posts and the Airtable notes on how to get tables to sync manually, however am only able to find the below:beyond the manual trigger button, there is no way to directly trigger a sync action between 2 tableswork around is to update a record in a synced table, to trigger Airtable's automated sync actionanother work around, or combined with the above, is to use 3rd party tools eg. Zapier to touch a record and trigger a syncI was hoping for another way to trigger a sync action (API or Airtable functionality) directly eg. by automation, so not by doing the above. But to my understanding this does not (yet) exist. Hello Airtable Community, I've started building a Project management tool on Airtable for a marketing agency that sells consultants time.The Project management part is quite straightforward even though I believe this might change based on the agency needs and internal processes.However, I am now facing some difficulties to implement the "Time reporting" part to this tool. Hello! I am currently pulling info from Jira into a table, and then pulling Sprint Start / End dates from Jira into another table. Because Jira doesn't expose that information directly, it is pulled into a GSheet, which I then pull into Airtable.The Sprint Name is pulled from Jira directly into my main table, and there is an exact match for each in the Sprint Info table. I created a Link to Another Record field which sources from the Sprint Info table, and corresponding Start / End date Lookup fields based on that table. I created an Automation that looks for any records in my main table that have a non-empty value and updates the Sprint Info 'Link to' field with the value from the Sprint field (screenshot below).When I generate a preview of the automation results, I can see that the Sprint Info linked field gets a value, but when I go back to my table, nothing is actually being updated. Any idea what I might be doing wrong, or a better way to accomplish this?

Hello AirTable Community,I am trying to export multiple AirTable records in one PDF. Concrete case is a list of samples that have several values, I want to create a pdf that will be handed to the lab for testing containing a list of multiple selected records in a nice format, not just a CSV. Are there any tools or extension for that? I couldn't find anything so far. If this is not possible in AirTable, does anyone know a work around? For example exporting a view as CSV and then automatically converting the CSV to the PDF format, maybe in Google Workspace? Or through the interface?Thank you very much!

I need to pull some data from a computed field (actually a filtered lookup field) in Airtable to prefill a form in Jotform. It should be easy as Jotform have introduced the feature (bizarrely under the publish menu) but despite several ways of trying, it will not map to computed fields.My inteded workaround is to map it to a long text field which an automation would update with the value from the lookup field, triggered if the lookup field is not empty. On mapping the fields in the automation, Airtable greys out the lookup field {Instruments} reporting the same issue as occurred whilst trying to mp directly from Jotform, that the field cannot be used because it's computed.I've spent a whole week on this. I've tried converting to text, using a string, an array, and concatenating, but of course, they all need computed fields to hold and reference them.  Anyone know a workaround? Post edit/after thought....Perhaps I can use a script with the same trigger but I'm not really a scr
