I have a table with an Attachment field holding a PowerPoint  PPTX file.Is there any way (in an Interface or another) I can Drag and drop that file into another (Windows) application? Just adding the file to an Interface doesn't seem to allow drag and drop.Specifically, I need to drag the file into Canva - Create a Design (Upload). Thanks!

Does anybody know or has script you put in extensions and automatically shows post and comment karma on airtable. You need reddit api and airatble api. And a script that i dont know how to write. I would appreciate every help

I use Airtable for something related to website data. I have a table which is a list of pages/URLs from a website, which was extracted from Google Analytics. The key is the URL/page but it also contains data such as the volume of page views and other statistics about the page. In an ideal world I want this table to update automatically, so e.g. the data is always about the most recent month. I know there is a zapier integration but I can’t get my head around it, mainly because what happens if someone creates a new page in the source data i.e I am not just updating records based on changes to the data in Sheets, I need to also populate new records. Is this multiple Zapier integrations??

Okay I think this might be a tricky one but let me know if you have any answers. Here's the basic concept. I'm producing a summer concert series and I want to create a budget and expense tracker. I want have a couple things I'm trying to accomplish.First, I want to be able to create a budget and allocate an amount of the budget to a certain category (labor, rentals, food, etc.).Next, I want to be able to track how much we are spending on each of those categories for each show. (Show 1: $1,000 on labor, $5,000 on rentals, $150 on food, etc.)Then, I want to link those together. For example, I want the show totals for each major category to then update the overall season long budget (the first item). Ideally, there is an interface with three pages. One is the Overview dashboard which shows the total budget, total spend, and remaining total budget. It would also show each individual category with total budget, spend & remaining. The second page would be a page to edit the cat

Hey there, I have a problem with the interface form an airtable app i created. When i want to open the 'socials' interface, it doesn't work and it gives an error. I have tried numerous things, but nothing works. I also tried to get help from the airtable support, but they couldn't help me as well. Is there somebody that has experienced the same problem? Thanks in advance 

I've build out an Airtable database that's working well but I'm getting stuck on what to use as a frontend. It's an internal lease management tool that needs to have a client login.We need the ability to have user permissions, an easy to read dashboard that looks nice, the ability to update records and export data.It also ideally should be a tool that does not have a steep learning curve.I started using Softr but then saw that the dashboard elements are only available on the professional plan ($139 a month) which is more than we want to pay right now. I tried Noloco which was great but the dashboard elements didn't present the information the way we needed it and the aesthetics weren't what we wanted.I would be so grateful for any ideas on what is the way to go.Thanks!

I have some items pulling into an interface.  I have 3 three fields.  Priority , User, and a description.  Is there a way to increase size of the user field to show full name versus truncating? I have hidden name but you can see that top one truncated and if there are two leads you only see the first one unless to expand to see all details?

I'm creating an office Desk Reservation system and I want to take the next step to make it even more user friendly by adding a unique QR Code to each Desk, so employees can walk up to the desk, scan the QR Code, and have the Desk Registration Form open with the Desk Number from the QR code they scanned Prefilled.I'm currently stuck on how to get the QR code's information to Prefill data in a single Form...and I dont want to make a Form for Each desk, that would be silly.Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've been searching for solutions for hours for this. My perfect worldEvent staff open an attendance tracking form. They select the event and class that's about to start. The walk around the room and scan the QR codes (could be barcode as well) on all attendee badges. Each scan adds that attendee (already an existing record in Airtable - that's where the QR code will come from) as a linked record to that event/class record. They add everyone in the room, and submit the form with everyone linked. Potential workaroundsMaybe directly linking multiple records into one field with QR codes isn't possible. If not, maybe there are ideas for how to do one of the following instead:Create an entire record when a QR code is scanned, and then collate that info later. But I would want to somehow link both the attendee and the class in that one scan, so if the QR codes are on attendee badges, I'm back to the same problem of how to include all those scans under one class umbrella.Airtable's

Hi everyone, I’m a pretty new Airtable user, so sorry if this question doesn’t use all the proper terminology. In short, I’m creating an automated appointment system for my organization. I am using a form to collect user information and create records that track scheduled appointments. Users select their preferred timeslot from a list of available appointment times (achieved by using a linked record field limited to an “Open Timeslots” view in a different table dedicated to tracking availability). The issue I’ve run across is that I only want users to be able to select ONE appoint time, but the linked record field allows for multiple appointment times to be selected. Is there a way to limit users to one selection with a linked record field? If not, any ideas on how something similar could be achieved? For a linked field, is there a way to limit record selection to a view based on the user?I have a Task table, with specific tasks for specific users.I have a Time table, where a user selects the taskDepending on who the user is, I want the only the tasks meant to be available.The only way I've been able to figure it out is to create multiple linked Task fields in the Time table. From my research, I think the answer to this question is, "it can't be done", but I'm hoping I'm missing something.My base has 3 tables:Waiting List - this is the "main" table, listing the people on the waiting list.Events - defines the events for which people may be waitlisted.Site Types - lists the possible site types that could be available to a person on the waiting list.Here's a highly simplified version of the base that illustrates the setup.Each record in the Waiting List table is linked to a single Event Name record in the Events table.Each record in the Events table is linked to one or more Site Types in the Site Types table. This link field defines the subset of Site Types that are available for that particular Event. This data is repeated as "Available Site Types" in the Waiting List table via a lookup field (if it's needed). As I have it set up, one Site Type record can be linked to multiple different Event records, but that's not mandatory--if it helped solve the problem,

I am trying to learn to use automations to update 2 summary tables so I do not have to keep copying and pasting every time I update a table.Table for new record:  Donations.  Summary Table: Donation Totals Yearly Summary Report.The two table are linked by the Donation Date primary field in the Donations table. The summary table linked field is called Donation Table.Let me summarize what I think I need to do to accomplish this. I need to create a trigger that says When a Record is Created in the Donations table. This tests fine.Then when I create that record in the donations table I need to have an action happen. I have chosen the Update Record in the action. That action is to update the Donation Totals Yearly Summary Report table/Donation Table field with the contents of the Donation Date field in the Donations table. HiI'm really, really trying to love interface forms and the design is much improved but is it really the case that you cannot prefill linked record in the form? I've tried with Recordid and with the name and it doesn't work. Other fields are fine (that I have tried) but not linked records. I believe its also the case that users need access to the base to submit if its being used as an internal form. Can anyone confirm these, are there work arounds. I'm having to abandon them for now and build with old forms 😞  Cheers Jason    

Hey all,I recently needed to switch an email automation from "Send email" to "Outlook email," to fix a spam filter problem. Previously, when it was being sent as "Send email," a link at the bottom of the email led all recipients to the record detail view of the submitted record on a particular interface - even though interface links are not currently insertable, and I had to assemble the link myself, it still worked fine.They look like this in the Automation message body, where the parenthetical is the inserted dynamic record ID:https://airtable.com/appxxxxxxxxx/pagxxxxxxxxx/(AirtableRecordID) But now, with the Outlook email automation, the links are broken. Something in the chain is adding two BOM bytes into the link, so it goes to this link instead:https://airtable.com/appxxxxxxxxx/pagxxxxxxxxx/%uFEFF%uFEFFAirtableRecordID Is there a fix for this, or something I'm missing? Hi, I have a table that contains the first and last names of people and what I’d like to do is to have a field beside this that counts the number of times a first name + last name shows up in the table. This is because it is possible that I can have multiple entries for the same person and I eventually want to extract unique users for use in another table. The first thing I need to do is to identify duplicates, but I’m struggling with this. My approach was to concatenate & lower case the first and last name to get a standardized format to check for duplication. Would appreciate any help on figuring out how to find duplicates in the table. Also, it’s not enough that I just know if a record is a duplicate or not, I need to know how many times it shows up in the table, so some sort of count formula but I can’t seem to figure this out. (names are not real) Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.

Is there a way that I can have my employees fill out a form that then shows data they are looking for from a base instead that form inputting data into the base? I have created a table that would be very beneficial to my employees but some are reluctant to use it because they are used to an older system. If I could create a form that makes it very easy to find what they need, that would be wonderful. I see there are some paid 3rd party apps like On2Air that would do this. I assume by the presence of these apps, Airtable does not have this functionality but figured I'd ask when my searches on the community yielded no results.  Thank you for all your time 

Looking for some help with the new Form Builder tool.I have upgraded a couple of forms for external users and all seems well expect for one thing (so far) - I am not able to manually sort a Linked Record type field.In the old form design (created in Data) we would use "Limit record selection to a view" and that view would be sorted the way the data should appear eg. by date, earliest to latest.Now we don't select a Data view but put filters on the field, as you would in Interfaces. I cannot locate a Sort function to go with the filter.Is this an oversight in the update? Or is there something I'm missing? Any one else found this to be a problem?Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a typical CRM Airtable base that has three tables: Name, Company and Project. Records in the tables are all linked together. Now I want to create another base that uses (syncs) information from two of the tables: Name and Company. It's easy enough to create a new Base and sync the two tables...but when I do, the linking between the two tables goes away. In other words, in the new Base I lose the knowledge that John Doe works for XYZ company. It shows us as text, of course, the records are not linked. Is there any way to fix this? 

I am trying to create an automation that updates a record when certain conditions are met:Let's say I am evaluating my retail inventory and want to identify inventory boxes requiring certain follow up tasks: I created a Box Flags field to aggregate a few different record fields into 2 flags: boxes that need to be replaced, and boxes that need their contents separated. I have created an automation to update records for the first flag, but am struggling with the conditions for the second. I only want the "separate contents" flag on boxes with more than one field value. "Has any of" retrieves all boxes, "has all of" requires a tedious number of conditions to capture every combo of values, "is exactly" and "is/is not empty" don't apply. In other apps I've worked in, I could write a condition like Box Contents contains A,B,C,D,E AND (Box Contents is not equal to A OR Box Contents is not equal to B OR...) to filter out the single value records, but I can't seem to wrangle thes

Im trying to use a field related to another table, the field is a date datatype which is in local format (DD/MM/YYYY) but the lookup tries to use another data forma (MM/DD/YYYY) so its not retrieving properly.Fecha de Facturación and Fecha (from another table) are both in local format But the datatype link from one table to the other search in another format so it fails...anyone who has passed through this problem?
