Hi,I am trying to understand how interfaces and users interact. I have a series of interfaces that I intend to have users edit the information for certain fields.I have set up the interface pages to have the correct fields editable and I set up a user (different from the owner) so that I could check that it is working properly. When I go into it with the test user though set as an Editor, I am unable to edit the fields that I should be able to. Can anyone please explain how this work, or how I should have the interfaces so that they can be edited by users? Thanks in advance for anyone's help. S

“Client Table” contains clients in column A. One client to a row. Each client belongs to a group (Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, etc), which is listed in column B.  “Project Table” contains projects. The name of each project is in column A. Each project has one or more clients. One project could have clients from multiple groups. I’d like a column in the Project Table to list all the groups represented in a project.  Thanks!

Hello,I am celebrating my automation is now working, however, whenever it seems that Airtable is sending me an automatic email titled, "Something went wrong with an automation...". Hello,I'm looking for help on Airtable Automations. I'm trying to Find a record to update based on Table:Sessions field matching Table:SignUps field. Both fields are "formula" fields that make a text number because the original Sessions field is a linked record, and the original SignUps field is a Primary Key.I don't know why, but I keep getting the error message below saying, "No valid nested options". It won't let me pick *either* the text field or the original Primary Key for Finding the match, and I have no idea why.I already went through this post explaining how both of the "Find" fields have to be congruent... but as far as I can tell, mine *are* congruent, but I'm still getting the error. How can I get this automation to work?Additional context below. TIA,ML

I have a Projects grid and a Tasks grid.The Projects grid has fields for Project name, start date, and end date. The Tasks grid has fields for Task name, start date, end date, and reference to the Project name.  For each Project, I would like the start date to be the earliest Task start date among all the Tasks that reference that Project.Similarly, I would like the end date of each Project to be the latest Task end date among all the Tasks that reference that Project. Thank you in advance for any help!!

I also plan to create follow-up automations to re-engage the lead if they don't convert within 1–2 days of filling out the form.In addition, I want to send other emails periodically to offer new services—but not in bulk on the same day. Hi guys! I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or something has recently changed? Long story short, I'm not able any longer to nest the records through the interface. Currently, I'm working on the new base and I wanted to nest records to organise them in some logical order. For example, if I look at one of the bases I already created, you can see the option to nest the records. Now, I'd like repeat the same process in another base and the option to nest the records is missing?Any idea if something has changed? Thanks!

In my base, I changed content type to multiple sections from single and now when I try to view the calendar view, "content pieces" it gives me a "Field “Content Type” was changed and can no longer be selected" Any suggestions on how to remedy this? I just want to make sure I understand this properly.  I can create a mobile interface list view, but I can only sort by one criteria. I cannot then sort by a second one. For example I have TV shows and I can only sort by show name or episode. Not show name and THEN episode. Am I missing something?  Thanks  

Hello all!I need help with a formula field. I believe I will need to use the IF function. Each week, I have to do math based on data input in 2 different fields and then multiply that number by a static field to get my total. I have to do this for 50+ records each week, so I'd love to save myself the time and energy and have my TOTAL field know which of my two fields it should compute against my static field. A screenshot is provided so you can see, and below is a little more explanation.Thank you for any help!Each week, some of the shows I am tracking are in preview performances and some are in actual performances, but never both at the same time. This number can change each week for either, and each show will start in previews then move to performances. Hi,Due to rebuilding a lot of our automation to accommodate segment/tag based filtering for e-mail, I need to change my TAG fields. The TAG is a segment or interest area (e.g. nature, sports, food etc), and until now I have used this as linked records from a master TAG table. The automations I built require however the TAG field to be a single select, so I need to transform all of my linked record TAG fields to single selects.If I just change the field from linked record to single select I nicely get the existing values converted into single select values, but it seems all automations where this variable has been used break. There are quite a few automations and it feels both very time consuming and risky to re-build all these by hand.Can you think of another way to "convert" the existing TAG field to the single select type without breaking the automations?Cheers,Björn

Hi, I am hoping that someone might be able to help with a nested IF Statement I have a field that determines the size of an advert. I suddenly can't add multiple sync sources to my table.I'm on a business plan I have under 20 sources syncing to my table. Does anyone know what that might be the case? I can do it in other bases.I can add other sources in other bases:

I created an interface with tasks for each employee.I want each employee to be able to see only their tasks.I created a page with a filter for each employee, but I don't see an option how to make an exception so that employee X will not be able to see the tasks of employee Y and vice versa.How is it possible to exclude a certain page from any processing?thanks!

I am sure there is an easy way to do this but I am still fairly new to Airtable.I currently have a table that has six formula fields that give users information about their progress throughout the year based on criteria from other fields in the table.  I have created a record review interface that allows each user read-only access to see all of their updated fields as well as the information from the formula fields.  This is all working great except that multiple times throughout the year I need to go in and manually change which formula fields the users see.For example, at the beginning of the year, formula field1 is in the interface which provides the inital progress that the users will see. On date1, I need to change field1 to formula field 2; on date2, I need to change field2 to formula field3, etc.Is there a way to set up an automation to do this?  I am not finding an automation that will allow me to replace fields in an interface, and I don't know enough about inte

I have a table in my online portal with a hidden multi-select "filters" field that is only accessible via a dropdown menu but not visible on the actual table. I want to create an automation that triggers when my existing records (or newly created ones) matches the conditions I setup."If Field1 is none of ... and Field2 has any of ... update record FilterField with 2 filter options"The problem I'm running into is that existing records aren't updated, only newly created or updated ones. Of those newly created/updated records, it overwrites existing options selected in FilterField so instead of adding a 2nd option alongside the 1st one that is already on a record, it overwrites it and only inserts the option with is listed in my automation trigger. I have hundreds of records and it would take too long to do this manually!Thank you.

I then want to store this PDF as an attachment in an Airtable table for a specific customer.My goal is to automate the entire process (sending data, receiving the QR invoice, and saving the PDF as an attachment) within a single Airtable script, without the need for another automation tool like Zapier or Integromat. I'm building a very basic template of a SignUp system for clients, and I want to build an Airtable-only solution for them that they can use without needing to use Zapier, Fillout, Wufoo, etc.I would like to update the "+" sign in the Airtable form question below so it says something like "+Select Your Session" or to make it a custom image, or something like that. Is there any way to do this through a script, CSS, etc.??? The form looks good overall, but the lone "+" sign really isnt' very user friendly, IMO.TIA,ML
