If I have 5 blank rows, then values 5, 10, 15, and I sort by that column, those blank rows show at the top and I would like them to show at the bottom but the 5, 10 and 15 still sorted showing at the top. Is this possible?

Hello allI am trying to copy/paste a line from an HTML table into airtable. The table has several columns which are delimited by tabs (unicode 0009).Nothing unusual so far...I created a form so I could paste in the line into that maps onto a single field. When you do this it retains the tabs in the string...BUT...I am struggling to find a way of sanitising this data and splitting out the columns.Yes, you can paste directly into the table field and split it out that way. I don't want this, I want to be able to paste the string/line directly into a form.Using "\t" in formulas doesn't work.With Windows 11 and pasting from Chrome, CTRL+SHIFT+V does not strip out any tabs (it's for formatting only)So how else can I strip out these pesky tabs?

I am new here.How to link the following text with a URL of the corresponding record when sending html email using sendgrid.<a href="{SM}">link text</a>The above outputs blank, where as just {SM} output the url. I don't know how to hyperlink it to that text. Thank you!--I would also like to know if there is a possibility to have a button on each record when clicked the email for that record is sent to the person on the record. I have an html email that variables from that record will be used in that email. Right now, I am doing the sendgrid extension to send emails to all records in a view with a filter. Thank you!

Hello All,I have looked around the discussion boards for an answer with no luck. I have a formula as follows:REPT("|",{Line Count}) When I use this, it just gives me an #ERROR! as the entry in the field. Entries with a zero in "Line Count" are blank. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. "Line Count" is just the result of number (from another field) being divided by 10,000. Is it an issue that it is a formula field? Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Trying to get 'Full Name', 'Organization' in my primary field. My problem is that sometimes both 'Full Name' and 'Organization' are filled in, and sometimes it's only one or the other. I tried using the following formula, and it worked when one or the other is filled in, but when both are filled in, it doesn't add the comma and space. Hello,I'm working on an automation that, when triggered by a new record being created, runs a script. The script should take that record, parse a comma-delimited list, then create new records in a separate table. The new records are include the unique names, the count of each unique name, and a link back to the original record. I mostly have this sorted now thanks to some awesome older forum posts, but I'm having trouble understanding how to write new records.The error I'm getting is on the last line of code where the records are being created: Error: Field "fldjndAnd48IHziyd" cannot accept the provided value.I believe the issue is with how I'm assigning the records. Hi again,I'm facing an issue in base designing and I can't find the answer myself or in this forum, so I'm trying here,I have this field in the table named "Actions", linked to another table named "Inventory", every time I add an action, I can choose to add every item I have in my "Inventory" table.I want to keep my inventory up to date, so every time I add a row in the "Action" table, I want to -1 of the specific item in my Inventory section.Can you help me find a way to do it? I tried automations, but didn't really understand how that works, I tried formulas too, but I'm unsure of the results, given the fact that I can put various items in the Action table.Thank you,Elie

Basically,I have a field that lists days of the week with no reference to date. I have tasks that need to be done on a particular day. Would like to another field to automatically update itself with date of the current week for that given day.  Is this possible?  Thanks

Hi everyone,In an interface form, I have this field that is linked to another source.When clinking the "+ Add record", my end user will have the possibility to link a record from another table.Unfortunately, when I click on the "+ Add record" button, a new form open, with nothing but just the autonumber of the record, and no other details.As you can see on the picture above, just the autonumber, which is somewhat really tricky to know which record to select...Details for the form's parameters here :Can someone please explain how to show all the details from the other table on that form?Thank you a lot,Elie

Hi all,I have an automaton where at X time, once a week, records are scanned for any projects that are within the next coming week, the status is to be changed to "Upcoming". I am recieving an error message on the update record part. Hello all!I don't believe this is possible with how automations work with Airtable as I know them, as they seem to be restricted to only automating one table and that one table's records. Regardless, I'm hopeful there's an extension or something that can get around this, as this seems like something that would be extremely useful to most people. I'm going to lay out an example for what I'm trying to do/the parameters around it, rather than trying to explain it with a block of paragraphs.An existing table's records is a list of projects. These projects are labeled as either approved/denied/pending/submitted in this table, and each of the project records were spawned from a submitted form. Hello! Here's my situation.I have a table 'Part List' that is automatically updated with parts from an external base that I do not control. One of the data entries inputted is "version" and "iteration". So I could have the following table:Part #VersionIteration001A1001A2001B1002A1003A1003A2Where the rows in red are the most recent parts (red is only shown here for emphasis, not in airtable). Deleting rows is not an option because I do not control the data source. I want to create a column that will have checkboxes, and it will be checked if it is the most recent iteration.Dedupe does not work because I cannot merge cells that I cannot edit, and I have thousands of entries so that would take too long.I've tried to adapt the Mark Duplicate example but I get the "Api request failed: Request Entity Too Large" error. I have a formula that I'm attempting to show "Sold" if tickets to an event have been sold, but if the tickets have not been sold, to display the number of days until the event. I already have another formula that will give me the number of days until the event.Generally, the formula below is working - except for one scenario, when a ticket was sold for $0.00. You may wonder why a ticket would be sold as zero, but that indicates to us that the ticket was given away - as compared to just not used.I've tried to use the presence of a value (my best working version below), and I've also tried to use the =BLANK variable, because if there is no sale at all then the cell has nothing in it, but Airtable seems to treat a value of $0.00 the same as BLANK.So then I tried a variation of this formula with >=0 but then ALL values were returned as true - even values where there's nothing in the cell.Here's what I have for a formula currently:IF({Event Sale Price}, "Sold", {Days till Event})The

Hi all,I have a simple script that is taking some items from the submission of a Gravity Form and updating an AirTable record. It all works great until I get to a section of the form that has checkbox values. INSIDE of one of those checkbox values is a string that contains a commaCheckbox choicesApplesOrangesPearsGrapes, limes and lemonsI can gather all of these out of Gravity Forms and put them in an array and then implode that array to get a comma delimited list, which is what AT wants to absorb that data for checkboxes.$c=Apples, Oranges, Grapes, limes and lemons"records": [{"id": "'.$id.'","fields":{"Committees": "'.$c.'"}}],"typecast":true}';This of course will cause AT to barf when that comes in and tries to split the Grapes out as its own committee and limes and lemons as another committee. Hi all, I have a two-table base. The first table/screenshot below is for survey responses; each record is an individual survey response. The second table/screenshot is where the responses roll up for each survey. Is there a way within the rollup filed formula to achieve my highlighted desired result? I'm trying to avoid adding multiple rollup fields for each response type and then concatenating all of the information in a new column.

Currently, I am linking the tables to each other manually when updating project start and end dates. For example, if I add a new project scheduled to start today and end 3/1/2024, I'd add a new record with a start date of 11/30/22, the end date of 3/1/24, and then link it to the "2023 Q4" and "2024 Q1" records from the second Table. Projects don't often (if ever) end when planned, so I come back and update the end dates often which means I also have to go back to check the linked Quarter records to make sure they're still accurate. This seems like something that should be easily automatable.I don't necessarily even NEED the Quarter Table. There is no other information about each quarter that I collect. Hi-  I'm a pretty new Airtable user, and have been trying to find solutions via the community posts, but haven't seen anything exactly addressing what I'm attempting to do.I am trying to populate a field with a number of hours to be worked, only if the month for that work falls within a date range.  In Excel, I was able to make this formula work:  =IF(Column's Month<=Completion Date,Average Monthly Software Hours,0)-IF(Start Date>=Column's Month,Average Monthly Software Hours,0)I tried to replicate the formula in Airtable that I successfully did in Excel, but it isn't returning the same values.I've attached a screenshot of the base as well as the formula I tried.  It feels like there's something wrong with how I'm handling the Column's Month formatting, but I can't figure out what...Many thanks in advance!-Robin

I need an automation to remove a linked record from a linked record field, without removing all linked records from that field.For instance, if a student is in enrolled in the courses 'knitting for war, animal husbandry and marriage, ice cream + pies', but drops 'knitting for war', I'd like the automation to leave the field as 'animal husbandry and marriage, ice cream + pies'. I gather from some forum browsing (specifically this thread) that this cannot be done without scripting. The good news is someone posted a script on that thread. Yay!The bad news is that the script looks like hieroglyphs to me. So, my questions:1) Is it even safe to implement a script for someone whose understanding of scripts boils down to 'it's magic, I guess?' Like, do I need to worry about having to debug it if I change some info in my base or similar?2) I assume I'll need to make some basic modifications to the linked script, like updating table names and such.
