Solved

Hello, I'm really enjoying building for the first time in Airtable but need some help creating a script (if that's the best approach).I have a form where users will put in 3 comma separated words to describe the Niche they work in.I want to turn this column into tags, so that I can group records by common Niche.My understanding is that I need to write a script to go inside an automation that fires when that field is not empty on a new record (when the form is filled in). And takes the text, parses it based on the commas and then adds it to my Tags column which is a multi-select field.I've tried using claude.ai and chatgpt to write the script portion but they're failing! I'm confident a real human can help me!cheersjonny

Hi (newbie here),Can you do a rollup on a Lookup field in a different grid?I have a table of employees.  There is a table of Trips where we look up the employees from the employee table.  Then I have a Departures Table that pulls in the Employee information from the Trips table. Now I would like to do a count(rollup) of the number of departures each employee has.I am having problems figure out how do this.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,My sister operates a bakery from her home, and I want to make things easier for her by creating a system in Airtable where she can take orders for her products.As a bonus I'd like to be able to track repeat orders from customers as a way to determine customer preferences, habits, trends, etc.There are a few problems I'm finding with this. Airtable has no way for customers to "make an account" so to speak. I'm inclined to create a table for customers, but...Customers would need to complete a separate form if they're a new customer, then come back to the order form, which feels cumbersome.For each customer that already exists in the base, Airtable will reveal all of the names in the customer table whenever a returning customer begins to search for their name, which just doesn't sit right.We could simply request name and phone number each time, but I'm not sure if that will allow me to combine those records based on phone number in order to be able to assess trends based on those or

Hi All,I have an automation issue coming from a formula field.The lookup field is coming from Tasks table, and the regions are repetitive, so i created a formula to make it as a text and im hoping the automation will take the Regions Text to a normal editable field 'TASKS - Regions', but it updates it with a blank value in the end (the blue circle in the end). Im not sure why, but if someone can help me with this. the formula im using is:CONCATENATE(IF(FIND("KSA", {Regions (from Task Tracker)}), "KSA, "),IF(FIND("GCC", {Regions (from Task Tracker)}), "GCC, "),IF(FIND("Levant", {Regions (from Task Tracker)}), "Levant, "),IF(FIND("EGY", {Regions (from Task Tracker)}), "EGY, "),IF(FIND("WW", {Regions (from Task Tracker)}), "WW, "),IF(FIND("NA", {Regions (from Task Tracker)}), "NA, ")) Not sure if there is something wrong with the formula or its the automation, which is when the lookup field is updated, take the Regions text and update it in 'TASKS - Regions' field. Thank yo

Hi, I would like to know if there is a maximum number of automation that a base can have or if it can have infinite automations?  Thank you 😊

Hi there, I’m a long term user of Trello and new to Airtable. Trello had a feature where you could forward emails to your board. I would have a to-do list board and whenever I got a request emailed to me I could just forward it to the board and it would create a to-do item for me. Does this function exist within Airtable? Thanks for your help.

I am trying to incorporate a formula column which looks for entries which may include swear words, but I cant seem to get this formula to work. Here is a snippet (I've taken out a lot of the middle which is just 3230 different swear words) but the beginning and end are there. Any ideas? IF((OR(SEARCH(“2 girls 1 cup”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“2g1c”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“4r5e”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“5h1t”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“5hit”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“a fanabla”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“a pecorina”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“a tomar por culo”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“a tomar por saco”, ARRAYJOIN({Lower})) > 0, SEARCH(“a$$”, ARRAYJOIN({Lowe

Hi Community,I'm trying to purchase a Teams account but I am part of an entity that is not allowed to pay taxes. The form I'm sent to has a space for a credit card and says I'll be charged "applicable taxes". I'm not actually sure what happens when I hit 'submit' after entering a credit card, is it charged then or is there some other page I get sent to? I expect the former.Is there a way to pay for Airtable without paying taxes?

I am looking to remove the comma separating the two lists. Here is a picture to show an example.    Is there a way to do this?Thanks!

Hello everyone,Trying to come up with a formula using Chat GPT (and some tweaking) to create a formula field type that displays a subscription's (record) amount in a cell based on budget status and the payment schedule.I want to create a formula that checks the following conditions:The Payment Schedule is "Annually."And one of the following is met:a. Budget Status is "Projected" and Renewal Date is within the specified range.b. Budget Status is "Actual" and Purchase Date is within the specified range.If these 2 conditions are met, it displays the {Subscription Amount}. If none of the conditions are met, it will display "Conditions not met".Here's the code:  IF( AND( {Payment Schedule} = "Annually", OR( AND( {Budget Status} = "Projected", {Renewal Date} > DATETIME_PARSE("2023-01-01"), {Renewal Date} < DATETIME_PARSE("2023-02-01") ), AND( {Budget Status}

In my "CRM" database, I am building out a reporting table that gets rollups of IDs from other tables (i.e. interactions, etc) and am trying to get one array of IDs that I can count to determine the number of unique IDsInteractions TableOne to Many Contacts, lookup field of Contact Record IDs from "Contacts" TableProjects TableOne to Many Contacts, Lookup Field of Contact Record IDs from "Contacts" TableReports TableRollup of Contact IDs from Projects, Rollup of Contact IDs from InteractionsMy formula below doesn't get all the IDs. I don't know if maybe there's some nesting going on. Any suggestions for combining these arrays? properly? COUNTA(ARRAYUNIQUE(ARRAYFLATTEN({Interaction Contact IDs}, {Project Contact IDs}))) Each of my rollups in Reports has this formula ARRAYUNIQUE(ARRAYFLATTEN(values))

let table = base.getTable("Customer Survey Prod");let field = table.getField("Aged Days");let query = await table.selectRecordsAsync({fields: [field]});let recordsToDelete = query.records.filter(record => record.getCellValue(field) > 7)console.log(recordsToDelete);for (let deleteRecord of recordsToDelete) {await table.deleteRecordAsync(deleteRecord.id);}I am running into a 30 minute error when running this is there a way to fix it?

In my all of my Interfaces  now when I try to add a new linked record, I would click on "Create a new record" and enter the info and click Create button at the bottom BUT instead of showing the Create button it shows Field Deleted?? This is not my field, it is an Airtable button? All my permissions seem correct etc. Also in some of my other interfaces the same  Linked record does not even show "Create a new record" , even though it should be allowing  it. Please help! It does seem to relate to the same table of Contacts where other linked records to other tables do not seem to have the issue.  Also I tried this in 2 different browsers, same issue. See attached screen shot. Thanks!

I have an automation set up and the test is sucessful, when its running I can see in the logs that emails are sent as expected but we are not receiving any of the emails.I saw another post which referenced some bounced emails and AirTable blovking their domain as a result, this was removed and the problem was solved. Another said maybe account had not been verified, I can't see this as the issue from following the instructions too.Checked Junk, Spam etc. but no luck, happening for me and all users who are shown as being sent emails on the logs.Any help would be appreciated, as appears I can't speak to support, which is odd!

Hello -- we have a base with about 5000 restaurants listed in it, and our editorial team needs the ability to easily put together ad-hoc lists of selections from that set.  They might start by filtering for all the records in a particular city (Chicago), but then need the ability to manually remove records from that basic set.  What's the best way to go about doing this in AT?  In FileMaker Pro (where we're migrating from), you could do a Find and then simply manually Omit records from that found set.  Is there a similar way to do this in AT?  Or would we need to do something like create a new field, and then add a value to that field for all the records we want to manually group?Thanks very much - loving AT so far!

Hello!I need to create a data entry form that will limit dropdown menu choices based on the selection made in another field. I am looking at the possibility of establishing nested lists to define the hierarchy of options, but so far I'm not succeeding in creating an interactive drop down menu.Is nested lists the right approach? If not, is there another way to do this?Here's the example. Imagine I have a table that has 30 birds and 20 fish in the records.In question 1 I want the user to be able to select "bird" or "fish", and then in Question 2 I only want the 30 birds or 20 fish to show in the species selection box, depending on what was chosen for Question 1. (In reality, I have an intermediate grouping level, and many more species than 30 or 20.

Hello all,I need a formula that will delete every instance of a string of characters between [] including the brackets. Basically I'm pulling a products from a database which is SKU code then the product name. Every SKU code is like the following [SHU-BATT-22-EU] SHURE BATTERY 22. Is there a way to remove any code between [] including the brackets so I am just left with the product name? Thanks in advance!

Hello,I have a question regarding the Airtable API key deprecation, and was hoping someone could clarify/confirm. Basically I am wondering whether this change will affect us, and whether we need to make adjustments. I've searched the forum, but I did not find an answer. Maybe this is a newbie/misplaced question. If so, I'm sorry.I have a base today where we use the Google Distance Matrix API to retrieve info from the Google API. We have no external services connected to the Airtable base. If we go into the "Developer Hub" and look at "API Key" the list is blank. That is true for "Personal access tokens" and "OAuth integrations" as well.The Distance Matrix API uses an API Key, which we have created through google. We use this key when Airtable connects to the Distance Matrix API to get info. This is done in scripts and automations, and we use the function"await remoteFetchAsync(txturlrequest)" to interact with the API through the scritps. In the automation we use "await fetch(txturlrequ

Howdy, Recently encountered a twitter account that I like which posts a progress bar for the year. I would like to make an extension that simulates that, so made a field that displays the day number of the year; specifically: DATETIME_FORMAT(NOW(),"DDD")However, when I am trying to then convert that output into a percentage, I only get an error.DATETIME_FORMAT(NOW(),"DDDD")/365I'm very confident there is a simple detail that I am overlooking. Would any of you happen to know why?

Is there a way to autofill a hidden field or Date data on a form to show when that form was submitted? This to to eliminate the need of asking the user to fill in a date field.

Hello,This one has me frustrated because I know it can not that hard. 😁I need to create an Expected Ship Date field.  I have a Start Date field (formatted as Date) and a Ship Days (lookup field from another table).  I want to find out how many days prior to the start date I need to send out the package. First My thought was Start Date - Ship Days, that just gives me NaN message.Then I thought I needed DateTime_Diff(Start Date,Ship Days, 'days').  That gives me a 4 digit number in some cases and NaN in other cases.  i.e. 1/3/2024 (Start Date) - 7 (Ship Days), I get 8221.  I am thinking that is good and just need to DateTime_Parse it.  So I enter,  DATETIME_PARSE((DATETIME_DIFF({Start Date},{Ship Days},'days')),'MM/DD/YYYY'), and I get #ERROR!What am I missing?

In my rollup fields (on multiple bases), I don't have the option to add a condition shown in this article: https://support.airtable.com/docs/rollup-field-referenceWhy would that option not be showing up for me? (I have a Pro account)Here's what I'm seeing...Here's what's shown in the article:

Hi people! I’m building a “Birthdays” table in my “Calendar” base and I’m looking for a formula that says: if “Birthday” is within the next 2 months then display “soon” What would this formula look like?

Hi, I'm having Problems with a Script, that are very weird.I'm writing a Script that should pull Crypto Prices from CoinMarketCap. For that, I created a Table "Currencies". In this Table there are 3 Fields (for the sake of this example): "Name", "Symbol", "Price". Now in the Script Settings you can enter your API Key (not relevant here), the Table of the Currencies and a Symbol and Price Field. Now the Script should query all Symbols existing on the Table, compile them into a Comma-Separated List and query the API. Then it should fill in the Price for each Symbol. This is the Code so far: const config = input.config({ title: 'Crypto Price Importer', items: [ input.config.text('API_KEY', { label: 'API KEY' }), input.config.table('TABLE', { label: 'Table', }), input.config.field('SYMBOL', { label: 'Symbol Field', parentTable: 'TABLE' }), input.config.field('PRICE', {

I want to combine multiple IF statements from data in two columns and return a TRUE or FALSE result.The two columns/data I am using are:User Subscription Level (Basic, Pro, Premium)Total Requests (Sum of values from multiple fields)What I've tried to do so far seems to not be working very well and I am a complete novice when it comes to Airtable formulas. IF( AND({Subscription} = "price_1NZdQ5C8Jx0D8bOIPFa8Nlto", {Total Requests}<"8"), "Limit Not Reached", IF( AND( {Subscription} ="price_1NkT9EC8Jx0D8bOIMXi0g37m", {Total Requests}>="25" ), "Limit Not Reached 2", IF( {Subscription} ="price_1NkT9EC8Jx0D8bOIMXi0g37m" ), "Limit Not Reached 3", "Limit Reached" ) ) Ultimately what I'm trying to do is check the user's subscription level and the number of requests they've submitted and evaluate if they are at their limit or under their limit.I'm not sure if I'm fully grasping how the logic is supposed to flow and I
