Hi There, It seems that there is no way to call directly an external API to a record on Airtable. My goal is to be able to shorten URLs (using Bit.ly API) in my database. I was wondering if there is a way that scripts might be able to help? Here is Bit.ly API reference : https://dev.bitly.com/api-reference I appreciate any help on this subject. Thanks

Hi everyone - I have a Airtable based that hosts events across states. And another base that hosts emails and location of users. I'm trying to create an automation that send emails weekly event reminders to users based on the event location that matches the users chosen locationsIn the email list base - a user can input multiple location based on their preferences. In the event based - events are listed based on state. I think I should be doing the automation in the email list and link that to the event base. I hope to send a list or grid of event to X user name and email. I was able to setup the first half of the automation using find records but not sure how I can automatically send the emails with limited manual work. could someone please help me out? Happy to share my base to assist 

Is there anyway to do a sum of averages within a selection using the number boxes?Bottom grey number on the left is what I'm trying to tweak.  Over the last 12 months, I've sold 663 units for a total of $4,107,840 (bottom two green #'s).  I need to sell 118 more (top grey #).  Ideally, I want that bottom grey box to not show me the average per, but a sum total of the averages.  So $4,107,840/663 = 6196 * 118 = $731,128.  Any one have an idea on how to get there?I thought maybe build that value into the base itself somehow, but I'm having trouble running sums within the individual records so they all return the 6196 value in real time (or close to it)...

Hello AirTable Community,Here's a fun one that I hope I can pick some brains on.  We have a Workday integration that creates an employee directory that feeds quite a few bases. With the Workday integration, we have to use a unique identifier - that being employee ID. However, employee IDs are not regularly used in our company so many do not know theirs. When filling out a form, they would typically use the employee name, which is not the primary field in the Workday integration (because of the unique identifier requirement.)Is there any way, via automation or some other method, to have the linking record be the employee name instead of the employee ID? If not, has anyone made a successful automation that would switch these columns after each sync with the Workday database? This has become quite a big blocker for us, so hoping someone has an idea of how this might be accomplished. 

Is it possible to limit the options for a single select field in an interface form? i can definitely do this in a regular airtable form. but i can't seem to figure out the way to do this in an interface form.example: single select fieldOption 1Option 2Option 3Can i make the interface form only offer them the choice of Option 1? or only Option 1 & Option 2, but not display Option 3 as a choice?

HiIm trying to work out a fix for an issue where the automation is searching for empty records of a column and emailing the relevant editor. The issue that comes into play is that it will find say 3 records of one author and add their email in 3 times instead of just once ? Im not certain that I may need another logic step added in?    

I have a URL field that I need to grab specific text from (in bold). Hi everybody,How would you go about sending an image from an Airtable attachment field to an image field in a Webflow collection item.I have set up a scenario in Make using a webhook. Works great so far for all the text based fields, checkboxes, etc.But I can not figure out, how to pass on the required image URL, so I can map it in Make.Does anyone here have make scenarios with images running?Thank you for your help!

Hoping someone can help me.  I'm sorry if this is not in the correct section.  I'm new to this and not sure of what to call most things.   I'm a crafter and i'm trying to use Airtable to keep an inventory of my craft supplies.  I have imported data from a different system, and have titled the column that contains the URLs for the photos  as "Image" and defined it as URL.  However, i can't get the images to populate.  I wrote an email to airtable asking for help, and although i keep replying to emails saying they're busy, with i want to wait, it's been well over a month and i still don't have a response.  I have tried looking up on the internet in various places, and have found issues the same as mine.  However, the fixes they show apparently are from a different version of airtable than is currently available, as many of the screens they show have different options from what I see, and i have not been able to equate the old to the ne

Hi, I'm trying to make a p&L. I'd like to grab the total expenses per month from the Expense Table and reference it in the P&L table. I've oragnised the data in the Expense table by month. In the group view I can see the totals, but I can't reference or copy them to the P&L Table. I tried to get around this by creating a "Lookup" linking the expenses in the Expense table to the P&L table. But I have to manually select each transaction. I have thousands of transactions and selecting them one by one is too time consuming. Does anyone have any advice for how I can make this work?  

Inside the Interface Designer, I've tried many ways to get this Record List from the Project Tracker template, but could not find a way. How do I get this? I have tried creating Record Review, but the behaviour is somewhat different. I tried creating from blank but the only option available is Record Picker. Appreciate your help and expertise. Thank you in advance.

Hi all I’m curious to know if there is a way to use single select tool in web forms pulling from data from the grid indicating that a selection has already made. For example, if 10 people are signing up for 10 potluck dishes and one person has already signed up, the potluck options are reduced to nine in the forms. I guess this is considered conditional but not sure how it would work. Thanks

Columns: Supplier Name, Part Code, PriceIn Table 1 I would like to add columns that automatically select the lowest Offer per Part Code. So Table 1 would have e.g. columns Part Code, Cheapest Supplier, Cheapest Price. Latter 2 automatically filled.Is this possible, if so, how? Any help appreciated!

Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to get the ID of an interface's table from its page ID, or if there's any other way to get the ID of an Interface's lined data for the api from within the interface itself? In the DOM or anywhere else?Our team built an integration for Airtable that lets users run their own features from within the Airtable page. Hello,I am working on a base that includes artists' names and a lot of them have diacritics in their first and last name. Is there a formula that I can use that could identify if there are diacritics used? It can be a simple True or False formula that I can then use a filter to isolate everyone with diacritics in their name. For First and Last name I am used simple Single line columns.A list of names is important because it is used for a remapping feature on our website, so the end result for airtable needs to be a filtered view of names. I appreciate any help you can provide with this.

Hi y'all,I am trying to figure out if there is a way to change my primary field when I am using data that is automatically integrated from a Google sheet. Basically, I have a Google Form folks fill out and the first question is what their name is. When they submit the form, a row is automatically created in a corresponding Google Sheet, and once that row is completed, a new entry is automatically created in AirTable. However, when the AirTable entry is made, the primary field is the time stamp from when the form is submitted, presumably because this is the first column in the Google Sheet. HELLO! I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to make this seemingly easy function work and keep hitting dead ends. Basically, I have a list of schools we manage, and I need to assign a phase number to them as new projects are created. The problem is, they are not submitted in order, and we have about 230 schools. I need to be able to count how many times prior this school has had a project created so I can keep track of what phase number we are on. I have a sheet where all incoming projects are being submitted via Paperform, and another “Master” sheet with the school name linked to the incoming projects school name. Every possible option I’ve been able to come up with changes every answer within the column and I need each row to be “set”, if that makes sense.
