Hi there, I have IFTTT applet that creates a new Airtable record when a Google calendar event begins. The description for the event comes in as HTML. I’ve been looking for a script that could convert the HTML to rich text so that it is more human readable in the base. I know about the Marked Preview app, but I don’t think that’ll be the best solution, since I will be embedding this base and I currently cannot embed apps. Any help is greatly appreciated.

So I have a few tables I am trying to figure out the best way to join them in order to create an interface that will display data from multiple tables. For example. I have a table Fund (which has contact information), a table budget (which has budget information for each of the funds.  There is a line item in budget that has each years fund budget. The common thread is there is a dept number for the fund in the fund table and a corresponding dept number in the budgets table.  I am trying to figure out the best way to report on each fund and their budget.  Particularly, their current budget (there is a field in the budget for each budget year), so in a nutshell, I want to see all the information from the fund table and the corresponding current budget for that fund from the budgets table.Its so simple to do this in excel or access but I cannot figure out how to link two tables to display the information in airtable.Any helps is appreciated. 

We have an event that is in multiple different locations. We have a form where they select which location they want to attend. I want to automatically send them the calendar invite when they fill out the form based on their response. Ex: We have an event on Monday in New York, Tuesday in Boston, and Wednesday in Chicago. If they select Wednesday in Chicago they will receive the outlook calendar invite for that specific event.

I created a form in Airtable and it gave me this html code: I embedded the code in my web site page here and it does work: https://captaintime.com/joint-venture-webinars/ However, it gives it a black background instead of the usual green on my site. I tried changing the background transparent to the hex color number and this didn’t work. Nor did changing backgroundColor=yellow to green. Not that yellow was showing anywhere anyway. Thanks,

So while updating my table coffee shops, I accidentally removed trading hours from MANY shops.I easily fixed this with Ctrl+Z, but now even though the data looks correct, the data is not being pulled from airtable to my website. If I duplicate the entry, same issue. But if I remake the entry EXACTLY the same, then it works. How can I resolve this? The issue is that airtable is showing me data that looks correct, but is syncing incorrect data.

Hello, We are having problem with Attachment Field.We use mobile devices to upload photos on airtable, but the photos are not getting uploaded...Anybody having same issue?From my observation, the Airtable mobile apps is not working.I tired with multilple devices, Galaxy S devices, Iphone, Ipad...Logged out and re-logged in, but its not working at all.

Is there a way to extract a users email address from their account info?Context...I have a form built in "interfaces" and have toggled on "see who submitted response".Ideally I'm trying to extract the domains for the users as a method to sort with different views.Ex. forms submitted by "domainA.com"forms submitted by "domainB.com"

Dear Airtable Community,I would like to know how to transfer a base in my personal Airtable account to a base in another account i.e. a start up’s account.They haven't yet set up the company account in Airtable but will do once we know how this can be achieved smoothly. Also to be considered are that the base in my personal Airtable Account,  has automations native to Airtable, connection to Fillout and automations in Make that are triggered by a Webhook via a script in my Airtable automations. Is there a way to move this ‘lock stock and barrel’, out of my account and into that of the start up?Thank you in advance for your support.Best RegardsLadi

I would like to monitor when anyone changes certain field configurations (e.g. changes the field type, or edits a drop-down selection or similar) so that downstream dependencies can be adjusted or the change can be rolled back. The field manager seems helpful but doesn't seem to be proactive enough for this purpose.

I have a schema, which I would like to implement for 3 similar businesses.  Is it possible to have the same base template, and have the schema synchronised between ALL 3 bases?  That is, if for example I add a new table, it is also added on the other bases. Same for fields.I would like to segregate the data, and also they do not need to share the data, hence it doesnt make sense to hit the 125k record for Business for example when they are not related data, just related schema.

I have a list of addresses and I already represented them through Map block using google Map API on the map. The queseion is how to get the coresponding geocode (latitude and longitude) for each address. eventhough I noteced that Map Block created text code for each address called Geocode cache is that may help or converted to coordinates. “Geocode cache This block stores additional information for each address. Okay guys, ive seen a similar post about this but didn’t answer what i was looking for. I am wanting to take a url (google.com) and add it to a “open URL” button then another record have another url (youtube.com) and add it to another “Open URL” button. Hi !Our company is working with Airtable for almost a year now, and I believe it can provide everything we need from a CRM / Dashboarding tool. But as our company grows, our Airtable base also is…  and we’re at the point of needing to evaluate the database structure because I believe it will become a bit of a mess when we grow and continue this way...  So I would like to reorganize the database and also build a lot of interfaces on top of that, so I don’t want to break up the database structure afterwards… 😉 So before changing it all, I’m looking for some advise and best practices on how to design a structured Airtable base which can grow and develop along with our company. More specific: right now I’m looking for some guidelines to when to separate or combine a grid to keep data in a structured way and maintaining flexible as our organization grows and our processes and needs change along. I appreciate some general guid

Hi everyone! I'm trying to create automations such as emails and Slack messages to send reminders to my team to update certain projects (records) in a project management interface. When we were using data mode, I simply linked to the Record URL in the body of the message in the automation. Is there a way to link to a specific project/record in the record review layout? I have two emails showing up and the wrong one is one character off.  I don’t know how to reach help to fix this so I can get access to all my bases 

I do not get Function Field as a choice in customize field selection- I get Number, Date, etc. Thanks.

This is something that has been bothering me on both desktop and mobile…  When I have the app downloaded to a device, and I click on an email that is from a comment, there should be a function where the action takes me directly to the comment in the app. Not to a login page in my browser, not a new tab in the browser.  This would be a lot better than the current behavior because: 1) I downloaded the app. I’m here, I’m using the app, I’m the power user and I should be taken care of; 2) When opening a series of comments in my email, I now have to wait for each of the tabs to open. My base isn’t small, so it takes a while each time, and it’s a little frustrating.

Hello, I’m trying to wrap the text in linked fields but I can’t figure out how to do so. In the example below, the Name and the Doc Gap Descriptions fields are linked. In the original field, where the field type is Long Text, the text wraps and is fully visible. In the linked field, the text is cut off rather than wrapped. How do I display wrapped text here? I tried seeing if wrapping would happen in a printout using the print option of “Wrap long text onto additional lines as needed,” but that doesn’t wrap the linked text either. Thanks, Erik

I have a view on an interface for a large database of plays that I want to group by their playwrights. I have added in a user action that allows this to happen. However I have to click ‘Group’ and select ‘Group by Writer’ every time I open the interface. Is there any way to ‘lock’ this grouping so that the plays are grouped in this way every time I open the database? The first picture is how I’d like the database to open and the second is how it does open (where I then have to manually group them).Grouped Airtable Ungrouped Airtable​​​​​
