My AirTable project deals with scheduling and staffing courses for a University. We have a table of Professors, a table of Courses, and a table of Offerings which marries the other two to create staffed course-sections students can ultimately eventually sign up for.Of note: our professors do not have AirTable access, and having them sign up is out of the question unfortunately. Additionally, we do not have AirTable Portals on our plan currently.When we assign professors their share of offerings to teach, we wish to send out a confirmation email where the professor can accept, decline, or comment on a specific offering they are assigned. This will likely be achieved using a Fillout form.Professors are assigned several offerings in a given term, so we do not wish to send them one email per offering they are linked to. Hello,having configured an actionable slack message, the error message marks that I don't have the permissions to edit the record when I click on the button.However, I have the impression that I have configured everything correctly.Maybe the screenshots can help...

We have an interface where previously (before UI change) we were able to apply a filter to limit the data that was shown but now when you try to add a condition it just shows the hover “Cannot filter on fields” 

Is it just me, or is anyone else seriously frustrated by Airtable’s recent UI update that removed base color customization?I used to rely on those colors to quickly distinguish between different bases — especially when juggling multiple tabs (client work, internal projects, staging vs. production, etc.). It was such a simple but powerful way to reduce mistakes and navigate faster. Now that everything looks the same, it’s way easier to click into the wrong base or waste time scanning titles.For a platform that prides itself on organization and efficiency, this feels like a strange step backwards. Color coding was more than just a cosmetic feature — it added real clarity and boosted productivity.Anyone else feeling this pain? Has anyone found a good workaround? Just me?Would love to know your thoughts — maybe if enough of us speak up, they’ll reconsider bringing it back!

Hi there,  I run an auto detailing business by myself and I am trying to create a booking system so my customers can automatically book a detail without having to message me. I have three different locations that I operate out of, and I would like for them to be able to choose the location and time.  Here is the tricky part.. I cant be double booked, so I need to find a way to limit this..  Any help is appreciated I currently have two tables set up, Appointments and services. All fairly basic stuff. Thanks

Hello! I am looking to create a database that is similar in structure and function to the “Brand and compliance checker” demo in Airtable’s AI Playbook (https://www.airtable.com/ai-playbook/brand-and-compliance-checker)Instead of brand guidelines, I am using different scenarios and their criteria to analyze real estate records. I have 2 tables. One is the property data (similar to the “Product Shots” table in the video) and one is the scenario/criteria table (similar to the “Brand Guidelines” table). In the properties table, I have a single column for each scenario (similar to the “Brand Check” fields in the demo) that the AI will resolve to either “Yes” or “No” depending if the record matches the criteria. I would like to know the best and most straightforward way to link the tables or instruct OMNI to reference the specific criteria in the scenario/criteria table when checking the data. Any assistance would be appreciated.

How would I go about exporting multiple page designer layouts as images into an attachment field? -Could I use or create a script to do it? -Is there any free Airtable apps that allow this? I provide more visual context in the link below:

 Good day.  I’m looking to add or rather hard code the time 6:00am as shown int the automation field below: How might I go about doing this?  Currently it brings in the date, but it changes a bit.  For example it’s specified as 7/21/2025, however what it changes it to is 7/20/2025 5:00pm  Here’s the automation:Would there be some way to “tack” on the hard coded time 6am or would I have to create yet another field to do that?  Eventually this will be used in a Workato Recipe, and they’re more buggy. Thanks!

I am a photographer and cinematographer. As such, I have innumerable external drives with images and clips on them. Each drive has a top level file ‘listing.txt’ that has the entire folder structure, down to each filename. This can have tens of thousands of lines. I want to create a base that lists all of my drives and has ‘listing.txt’ as an attachment. Easy.  BUT!!! I want to make the base searchable, so if I type in ‘badger’, the base will return the drives that have a file or folder that contains the word badger. Can I make the listing.txt file searchable? Or, do I need to break it up into 100000 character chunks and have numerous long text fields. (I have tried unsuccessfully to do this - but I don’t really know what I am doing!).  Insights welcomed, and thanks in anticipation,Roy Dunn

While building a custom interface in Airtable, I wanted to display smaller images—something like a profile picture in a small circle. But I noticed there’s no way to resize the image component. It either shows up full-size or doesn't fit the layout the way I want.Is there any possible way?

Hello,Did Airtable change how they duplicate bases recently? It seems that when duplicating a base, it uses the same table ID and View ID from the original base. This broke my API that updates/inserts table metadata to my database by table ID as well the API that fetches table metadata by table ID. Disclaimer: The bases here are all just test bases so there is no real information stored in there.Before, when duplicating base, the table ID was also changed as seen in the screenshot below. These bases was duplicated around May last year.This is the original base This is the duplicated base (please note that the base ID, table ID, and view IDs are different from the original)Now, when I duplicate a base, it changes the app ID but doesn't change the table ID and view ID anymore as evidenced in the screenshot below. Hey all.I have a table that has a “status” or “level” for users.  The idea is to have the formula update an unique status/level with the year, e.g.,CONCATENATE(Select," - ",YEAR)SO what I’d need is Gold 2024, Gold 2025, and then when the year with a formulat: (YEAR(TODAY()) updates, we’ll have 2026 and so on.Unfortunately, with a formula right now, 2024 cannot be created.  Perhaps an Automation that updates this based on year(today()) ? Any ideas?

I put in a ticket but haven’t gotten a response, was just wondering if anyone knows why I might have lost access from n8n, i’ve tested both oauth and personal access tokens, ensured the permissions are all granted, tried new n8n airtable nodes, tested old and new credentials, and added money to my airtable subscription since it started while I was on the free plan. Every airtable connection regardless of which type of authorization yields:403, { "error": { "type": "INVALID_PERMISSIONS_OR_MODEL_NOT_FOUND", "message": "Invalid permissions, or the requested model was not found. Check that both your user and your token have the required permissions, and that the model names and/or ids are correct." } } Node version2.1 (Latest)n8n version1.95.3 (Cloud)Anyone have a theory I might test to get access again? 

Hi all -- I’m see a number of functional bugs in my dashboard interfaces, including “ghost” so-call “element” data sources, as well as disappearance of linked field dynamic filtering for dropdowns. It was working fine before the roll-out came to me today, but it’s been a bit catty-wompus ever since. Am I the only one? Bueller?

Hi all, I want to create a Table 1 with a list of tags and use it to create a matchmaking system that works across other tables.So whenever I add a tag to Table 1 it would automatically appear as a tag option in different multiselect columns in other tables. Is it possible? How can I use the same tag system across several columns? 

Hi everyone!Two of my collaborators are using Airtable on their tablets, and when they try to open certain pages (like interfaces or synced views), they get the message:“This page is not supported on mobile.”Or“Incorrect Permissions” The strange part is: I can open the same exact pages on my phone (mobile browser and Airtable app) without issues. Their permissions haven’t changed, and they’ve had access before. We tried checking their login, app version, and even attempted opening in a browser instead of the app, but the problem persists.Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be device-specific, or related to screen size/resolution? Any ideas or workarounds would be appreciated!Thanks in advance 🙏

On my form, I have a couple of questions linked to a single select field.  It's automatically naming the button and I don't know how to edit that.  Instead of Add record or Add show, I just want to change it to Add Committee Preference. 

Hello,We are using the “Phone SlackID” field in Airtable and passing its value into the body of a message using the “Slack Send a message” action in an Automation to send mentions.In the “Phone SlackID” field, we’ve set each user’s display name in the format @last.first, and it has been working correctly for almost all users.However, after one staff member changed their display name, they no longer receive mentions. Specifically, @last.first now appears as plain text.Could you please advise us on how to resolve this issue?

I feel like this might be a Fillout issue but thought I would check here to see if anyone can identify if I'm doing something wrong.  I have a base connected to a form in Fillout.  When I pull up the form and click “integrate” at the top, it shows a connection to the correct table. When I click back on...Edit at the top, Go to the page that contains a field linking to a subform Click the field the subform is attached to,   Open settings on the right Click Edit Record creation form to pull up the form,...it says connected at the top, but when I click the integrate tab on the sub form and look at my connections, I continue to get the following message.  I've updated my API Key in Fillout, updated my PAT Token in Airtable, cleared my cache, confirmed my mapping is correct, I don't have any automations that might cause the problem,  and tried a different browser.   I was connected to a different base and it was working properly.  Short of recreating the entire form, I'm stuck.  any suggest

The above is a view.The idea is instead of trying to get an automation to trigger by 48 hours prior to the start date of an event, and sending an email, I thought perhaps, the automation being triggered when entered by a view that only displays events that are 48 hours(2 days) prior to an event. However, my view from the settings still shows, all the start dates.   

Hey AT brains trust, I'm at my wits end attempting to get this interface to simply filter to show me my un-approved expenses. This is for our Base to manage all org expenses, which each FY I duplicate, turn old automations off and new ones on, rename to current FY, recolour and a little bit of renaming inbudget areas. An interface we rely heavily on is sending me this error message.The field is single select and has not changed The filter is specific and again very simple, we want to see unapproved expensesI have copied the field and used that, I have duplicated the base, I have reentered the filters and have had no luck and am losing my brain. The previous FY still works but nothing has changed in this area.Please help
