I'm trying to reorder the fields in one of my tables so that when viewing them via a linked record, they are organised in relation to how we use them. It's my understanding that to do this, you need to reorder the fields via the first view that was created in that table. I guess that view is essential the 'master view' in that table.I've been successful at doing this for several tables already, but only by coincidence. Upon deleting some views in the other tables, a view that was only accessible by another user would appear in the view list. I was able to select the view to see the content but couldn't make any changes as it was locked to that user. I reached out to them and they changed it to a collaborative view, where I then reordered the fields and they showed correctly when looking at the linked record from another table. I've tried doing that on the table where I'd like to reorder the fields, but no extra views are showing up. I'm thinking that the 'master view' is already co
A personal project I am working on is to create a curated list of job roles scraped from the likes of LinkedIn and other places. Specifically, Product Operations (I will say for anyone reading - this is NOT for me, but to support my community who are looking for roles). The idea being, my community can see this specific list, and in the future being able to match skills needed with skills the applicants have, to recommended roles directly.I’m struggling with 2 things:A suitable prompt that can look at a top-level URL and then go find instances within that URL of job postings (If you know LinkedIn, I can get a URL that has Product Ops as a search marker, but then getting information from that is proving difficult). Because the number of results (records) returned is unknown, I’m using a web-table currently to house this - is this the best way, and what can I then automate from that to get it into a table? My ideal state is to have this run automatically weekly without input from me. I am using my Samsung S22 Ultra running One UI version 8.0, android version 16 software. Hardware version REV1.0 Airtable app was last updated dec 3 version 6.40.0 I am taking pictures with my mobile device directly through the attachments field in each record. I have tried using my mobile connection and Wi-Fi connection to see if one is better than the other, but the same issue happens regardless of my connection. logging out of the app, restarting the phone, uninstall and reinstall, tried all of that! I even tried all of those things in a row but still no success. I am able to take one picture after a phone restart, but that is not guaranteed each time. I am able to upload images from my own photo gallery on my mobile device one at a time. Also able to upload several images at a time by pc on a web browser. neither of these options is time efficient for me at all and I have had to completely change my already delicately timed workflow to get my images into the records. but that mea
I’m trying to automate period assignment in Airtable and want to check whether I’m missing something or if this just isn’t possible without scripting.I have a Periods table where each record has a Start Date and End Date for a 13-period fiscal year. In other tables like Orders, Packaging, and Transfers, each record has a single Date. What I want is for a record to automatically link to the correct Period when it’s created or when its Date is updated, based on whether that Date falls between the Period’s Start Date and End Date.I haven’t been able to find a native way to do this. Automations don’t seem to allow comparing one date field to another date field, Find records can’t evaluate date ranges using the triggering record’s Date, and rollups and filters don’t allow referencing parent record fields. Because of that, the only options I can see are manually selecting the Period or using a script.Has anyone in the community has found a native way to automate date range based period linki
I’m wanting to automate posting of Slack messages using the Block framework, to simply have a nice URL button, but when I submit even example code pulled from Slack’s API docs, the code simply posts as text, the blocking doesn’t seem to apply. What am I missing? Is there something either in Airtable or Slack to turn Blocks on?
Very new to the platform and I’m getting a little tired of my AI support running me around in endless loops…I am trying to build a table that extracts a number of metrics out of my data through a series of rollups. I would like this metrics table to auto-populate based on the name field, so that each individual in my database has their metrics pulled in. Right now my trigger is When a record matches the conditions-->Name is not empty;then a Find Records step aimed at my database table, based on the condition Where Name is exactly Name--->make a new list of… ID;and last is an Update record step aimed at my Metrics table Airtable record ID, using the field Shifts (linked) - which is a field in the metrics table that is linked to the data. However I’m not sure what choice to make in the Choose record(s) to link to, which is set to dynamic, in order to automatically find all the entries for that name in the database table and then carry those across to put into this Shifts (linked)
We have 800+ bases, each with several automations, and each automation can be sent to any number of recipients based on the project type. They are primarily external to our org and non-AT users. I’m trying to find a concise way to audit those email addresses to ensure they are still current and relevant. Can anyone give me any idea of a way to download/query/export this data without querying each base individually? Thanks

Hi everyone,we’ve been experiencing an issue with the Airtable app and I wanted to check if others are seeing the same thing. Our technicians — and I can confirm this myself — are constantly being prompted to log in again. Sometimes you can get around it by fully closing and reopening the app, but this gets really annoying during daily work.Is this a known issue? And is there any chance the re-authentication interval could be extended? Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone,I’m new to Airtable and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.I run a small insurance and finance company (about 2 years old), and I’m trying to sync data between two tables: Insurance Policies and Insurance Documents. The goal is for any changes made in the Policies table to automatically update the corresponding record in the Documents table.I’ve tried linking records, but that causes unwanted behavior (for example, it creates new records in the Policies table when I select Policy IDs in the Documents table). I then tried setting up automations, but I keep running into errors and loops.Below is the automation prompt I was attempting to follow:“Create an automation that keeps the Insurance Documents table perfectly in sync with the Insurance Policies table. Whenever a record in Insurance Policies is created or updated, find the matching record in Insurance Documents where the Policy ID matches the Policy Number. If a matching record exists, update:• Carrier
Hello all,I am a small video game refurbisher/reseller and as my business grows Im looking to move from Google Sheets to Air Table to help me manage the complexity of my inventory. Im hoping that the community can provide some insight into how to structure my system so that it is manageable and I keep track of things without making mistakes and/or losing my mind :)The core of my business is based on selling 3 things:Consoles Games ControllersGames are a standalone item. Controllers and consoles are not. Consoles have cables and replacement parts and controllers are similar. I often have to supply additional parts in order to create a single sellable product. For example, I wouldn’t sell a console without a power supply and AV cable. Each product also has different characteristics. For example controllers have colours and could be aftermarket whereas game have unique titles and consoles/controllers do not.Between these 3 core items would you recommend different tables to track each? Woul
Hi,We run a photography studio. The customer journey starts with a discovery call, before proceeding with a deepened consultation call for some, and then the actual photo session. The bookings for the discovery call come primarily from Meta ads. When monitoring that we have enough bookings (and potentially need to work on the Meta ads to get more bookings), we need to see historical data for how many bookings we’ve had. This would be on either daily or weekly basis, the problem is the same. For example, we’d like to see a table showing how many bookings we had for the coming two weeks and have this for each day, and see what the historical levels have been. This is how I tested: I first created a new table with one record per day. Then I linked the event bookings to each record (day). I then created a lookup field that would select all events of the type Discovery and wanted to add a filter for including only those events with a date “on or later” than that record’s date, which was not p
I want to look up certain related Procedure Records in my “PNP” table, then I want to add all the related Procedure Records to one field in every Work Record in another table. SO: Triggers: Possibly every time a Work record is created? or on a time schedule? A button?Step 1: Look up all related Procedures records based on a Work Record category fieldStep 2: For every Work Record, add all the related Procedures records to a “PNP” fieldShould be easy right? Just some ideas here but it didn't work at all..
Hello everyone,I am trying to make a nested IF/AND formula to do the following:IF the ‘Date First Contacted’ = blank, status = ‘Not Contacted.” IF the ‘Date First Contacted ‘= not blank and ‘Follow-Up Date’ = not blank, status = “Followed up.”Is it possible to write this into a formula given that ‘Date First Contacted’ and ‘Follow-Up Date’ are separate fields? Thank you!
Is there a way to have them receive an email receipt of some sort so they know the submission went through? I think I have it set up to tell them Submission Received, at the end, but they are missing it and then filling it out again. I’m not sure if it’s a easy fix and I’m just not seeing it or if it’s not there. And, I guess if it is there and I’m missing it, is it only for paid memberships or free as well. I have a personal account that is a free account, but had the same issue there as I do with the other.
Is there a way to automate the following scenario using any of the automation tools (like Make, Zapier)A change in a field in airtable triggers a 'create a campaign' on mailchimpThe campaign is reviewed and sent manually. The sent campaign triggers a 'change in status column' in the airtable. Is this kind of two-way sync possible? Thanks!
Hi all,I have 2 connected fillout quizzes. The first is set to create a record, which is working fine.In the end screen, I have a URL button linking to the next quiz. The second quiz is set to update a record, but in the results, it creates a new record.I add an ID in the URL parameter for both quizzes.Where do I go wrong, or what am I missing in the process?
Hello everyone! How can I manage user-level access in Airtable so that each role only sees specific tables or fields? Does Airtable support row-level or column-level permissions?Details:I’m building a structure where I have multiple tables (Operational, Manager, Admin), and each user role should only see the data that belongs to them. For example:Operational users should only see the Operational tableManagers should see both Operational and Manager tablesAdmin should see everythingInterfaces solve part of the problem, because I can show or hide tables and fields, but I want to confirm:Is there any way to implement real column-level permissions? Is there any way to implement true row-level permissions? Are interfaces the only recommended approach to hide fields and restrict access?I want to be sure I am building the structure correctly. Thank you!
I’m trying to enable users filling out a form to create a new contact. For context, I’m building a repository of companies and their points of contact. Currently, the “Add Contact” button only allows selecting from existing contacts already in the repository. Since this form is meant for intake, I want users to be able to create new contacts directly from the form and have them automatically linked to the company. When I reached out to support, they said when using Airtable's form builder, you can only link to existing records in a linked record field. Users won't be able to create a new linked records directly through the form. Are there workarounds or unique solutions to this limitation?
Hey Guys, i wanted to ask if a guest user via Airtable Portals has the possibility to actively work in interfaces and set for example a drop down menuitem to an different value or add comments in a single line text field, which then is updated in the base. Or is the guest user via Portals a read-only access and changes made are only visible for the guest user session?
Hello,I’m new to Airtable and in trouble with airtable forms. For example, here is the situation.I collect weekly requests from my school friends through a Form.In the Form, they write how many of each drink they need and submit it.I then store all of this data in a database.Let’s assume my friend wants to fill out the Form like this: Cola: 5 bottles Water: 154 bottles Orange juice: 30 bottles Wine: 2 bottles Beer: 15 bottles I already have a base where each drink—Cola, Water, Orange Juice, Wine, Beer—is listed. However, it seems that the Form does not allow submitting multiple quantities for a single drink. Since I’ve only been using Airtable for a few days, I may be misunderstanding something.Could you please let me know if my understanding is correct?Or is there something that I can try? Thank you for your help in advance.
Hi I'm working with Airtable Forms and using a single-select field for a Sample ID (which is a number). I'd like users to be able to add a new Sample ID directly from the form if it doesn't already exist, instead of being limited to the existing options. Is there any way to enable this "Add new option" behavior for single-select fields in Airtable Forms? Or would I need a workaround—like using a linked record or setting up an automation—to allow new Sample IDs to be created automatically?Appreciate any guidance
I am doing a hiring and searching for jobs database. I have made the form for everyone involved but would like for them to be able to change their availability status after having submitted the form. Is that possible? I haven‘t upgraded my subscription, I am still using the free version. I am new in airtable, still trying to figure it out if it is the answer for what I am looking for before I start paying.
Hi!I’m close to reaching my storage limit on the “Team Plan” (20 GB). I’ve been deleting data to free up space, but I’m not making progress fast enough. Here’s my question:If I have a base with images in X number of rows, and another base with a “lookup” field that mirrors those images from the first base, will the images count twice toward my storage limit?
